Perspectives

Botan and Yuuhei entered the room and a little bit later, followed by Kurama. Shizuru motioned for Botan to have their seats on the empty space on her right side. Opposite of it were Keiko and the empty seat beside her was noticeable to be for Yusuke. Yukina is seated on her other side and beside her was an empty space as well which is perhaps reserved for Kuwabara. They accepted the offer of Shizuru. Botan was seated in between Shizuru and Yuuhei. Yusuke and Kuwabara have their eyes fix on the screen. They were playing video games while Genkai is on the side of the room near Puu. On the corner of the room, near the windows was the comfortably settled Hiei and Kurama later sat near him. Catching up with everyone seems to be so much fun and fine. Botan did most of the talking and telling her unusual days which they seem to enjoy. After all, it's not an everyday event you will hear and know the story of what happens in Reikai. Now, the Ningenkai beings are sharing about their career.

Yuuhei let his observing side be known to everyone. He listened and observed each interaction they made. He answered formally their questions to him. Beings from Ningenkai are easy to read due to the fact that they are caring and loving but at the same time if they lack the nurture of it during childhood and teenage years could make them the opposite: heartless. He will need to get used into being informal and disregard such honorific titles towards them. Yusuke is an easy to trust person that makes him fit for his beloved Keiko. She seems to have a high intellect compared to Shizuru and Yukina. Genkai is an exemption to the intellectual questioning because she is wise and Botan as well, in her own way. Botan just seems not to personally claim that she is wise. There is wisdom into it: she knows what she does not know and that opens her up into looking at other perspectives. In his analysis: she didn't know, they didn't know and didn't see through it that it was her who brought together: the Reikai, Ningenkai and Makai beings to work together and give life to the bond and friendship they have now. Beings like her and him of Reikai origin are superior to them. Them among in the room, it might only him who is superior because he has reached his full potential in terms of power unlike Botan. He will keep it at low key as much as possible. He also noticed how Yusuke and Kuwabara seemed to be careless compared to Kurama and Hiei. He could sense their keen eyes towards him as he make his gestures and moves and how he says words. Yukina has a welcoming vibes and has perhaps, learned from Ningenkai the art of caring and loving without expecting anything in return attitude which can never be learned in Makai. Shizuru has a high spiritual awareness level compared to normal persons which his brother has also.

"This might take three hours more for everyone to retire for sleep because they must have really missed each other," Yuuhei thought to himself. He stood up and decided to call it a day for him.

"I guess I'll retire for tonight. It's Makai we are going to deal with tomorrow." Yuuhei warned, "You better watch your alcohol consumption Botan. We will not be delaying our departure just because you're drunk. I don't like to be called incompetent for the task even in terms of time."

Botan just crossed her arms and rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Yuuhei continued, "Unless you can manage to follow after me, a-l-o-n-e, alone."

"So be it Yuu.."

"Anyway, it is okay, dear," Yuuhei cut in sweetly. "Of course I won't let you do such kind of thing. I wouldn't mind carrying you if needed," he said with a smirk leaving the room. Contented as he is, to see her with an annoyed expression, have left.

"Hey! Whom are you calling dear? What do you think of me? I'm not a baggage!" Yuuhei heard her shouted as he continued to walk farther.

Genkai stood up and said, "I'll tell and show Yuuhei the room where he can sleep. I'll be back immediately." She closed the door behind her and followed behind Yuuhei. She smiled thinly knowing that she will let Yuuhei sleep in Botan's room without permission. She will deal with Botan later.

Just when Botan thought that everything turns out fine tonight, is when the time Yuuhei ruined it. Calming her nerves, she gulped down half the bottle of the liquor before her.

Everyone watched in astonishment as she drank it. Placing the bottle down with the half of the remaining drink, she sighed in defeat. Then, everyone went back to their left topic about the plan of Keiko in her career.

She will need a lot of patience for Yuuhei whom she is going to work with. The thought of the need to gain more patience occupied her mind. She didn't notice someone stood from his seat and went near her. His hand took the bottle from which she drank and gulped the remaining contents. He gently placed it back empty and returned to his seat.

Kurama said confidently joining the conversation, "Pursue what your heart says Keiko. We believe in you." He then looked at Botan and added, "Right, Botan?"

The mention of her name woke her up from her own thoughts. She shouldn't be thinking of anything else for now when she should be giving her attention to her friends. She looked at Kurama quizzically and answered rashly, "Uhm, yes! Yes, of course!"

Keiko smiled at her, assuring her that everything is okay. "Botan, off topic, you should at least be nice to Yuuhei," she said.

"Yeah, after all, you two would be working together for a month or two," Shizuru added before grabbing a sushi and munched it.

"He might be a tough looking guy and has cold aura in his looks but I know for certain that he is good." Everyone's attention went to Yukina. "I think, only you could bring out the soft – hearted and teasing side of Yuuhei as we have seen earlier. From the looks of him, he is not the kind of guy who is used into doing that. Please make yourself comfortable around him and tell him if you need help. He told us before you arrived that both of you will be working together tomorrow." Yukina turned to Yusuke, "Yusuke," then to Hiei, "Hiei," then to Kurama, "Kurama," then to Kuwabara, "and Kuwabara will not be there to help and protect you in Makai when the necessity arises so please don't get irritated at him." She smiled softly at her and added, "It doesn't suit your angelic face to have knitted brows."

At the last statement, Yuusuke put his hand to his mouth to avoid something from erupting. He looked at Kuwabara who was doing the same thing. Kuwabara noticed him and they both reacted the same way pointing at each other releasing what they are avoiding to erupt. "Hahahahahahaha," they both laughed. They didn't notice Botan is going to whack them on the head. "Oww! What was that for?" Both of them asked her in unison.

Botan countered, "I am very much aware that I don't have such an angelic face as Yukina does have so don't laugh at it. Watch it, both of you!"

"We know it. You just look like to believe in it for a second and it's kind of funny," Yusuke said frankly.

"At least Hiei and Kurama here are not like you!" Botan said returning to her seat.

"Don't suit yourself, Botan. Just because we are silent doesn't mean we're not thinking the same as well," Hiei smirked as he finished his sentence.

"What! I can't believe you two!" Botan told them dramatically and placed in her lips in the bottle before her and drank. She waited for the liquid to be tasted by her mouth but there was only a drop. There was no more contents of the bottle but she was sure it still has half the bottle. For a moment, she gave thought into changing her irritated attitude around Yuuhei wouldn't hurt. She was about to ask who drank the remaining half of her bottle when Genkai arrived.

Genkai returned to her seat. Yusuke stood up sat beside Puu and drank the cup of tea of his master. "When have you learned to appreciate the taste of tea?" She asked him.

Yusuke answered, "No, I didn't. I was just taste testing."

"Why are you sitting here instead of being beside Keiko?"

"Geez, cannot I have a taste of tea and the perspective of my master? I wanted to know and perhaps learn from this point of view on how you think in which Hiei and Kurama have a natural familiarity with," Yusuke told her as a matter of fact.

"It's never on your nature, Yusuke. You were never observant. You were never cautious. You will give up soon enough and join them." His master told her calmly.

"Yeah, you might be right but I still wanted to know how it feels. I wanted to experience it," Yusuke nonchalantly declared and then snorted.

Kuwabara turned off the screen and play music. As he was to stand up and to return beside Yukina, he found Hiei sitting there already. Hiei looked innocent as if he didn't do something wrong. He scratched his head and sat instead beside Keiko.

Shizuru as if commanding called Kurama, "Join us here, Kurama. Will you?"

"Right after this message is sent," Kurama answered, pressing the send option of the text message he has composed for his mother. Then he went for the space beside Botan and sat there.
