Raven Branwen was a hard person to find if you didn't know where to look, much like Jaune right now.
However, with a bit of his crazy luck, he was able to spot her.
As it turns out, she has been stalking Taiyang for a while now.
Well, not stalking, more like gathering the courage to approach him, but when she saw Summer was somehow alive, that hit her hard in the heart.
Thus, she has been watching them from afar.
Not long ago, she saw a friend of her daughter enter the house of the Rose/Xiao Long family. It made her curious, but by the time she peeked through the window, the house was empty.
"Yo!" said Jaune. He said so to a bird. "So…Are you enjoying your peeping?"
The bird looked at Jaune. The man that was taking revenge on the Fall Maiden for his partner's death.
Raven didn't know how he was able to tell that she was not an ordinary bird, but her instinct told her to leave.
Unfortunately for her, Jaune was much faster, and he grabbed her. He smiled at Raven who thought that he had a sinister smile.
"Now, now, Raven. No need to run," said Jaune. He continued to smile, and it continued to scare Raven. "I'm not here to hurt you. Summer asked me to find you and bring you to her. Even after everything you've done. Leaving Tai, leaving Qrow, and leaving your daughter, she still believes that there is good in you".
Raven, in her bird form, avoided Jaune's eyes when he heard what Summer said about her.
"So? What are you going to do?!" asked Jaune. He heard from Yang that Raven is avoiding a fight with Salem because she knows that the witch was immortal. "Before you make your decision, let me tell you, if you're worried about Salem's immortality, don't. There are many ways to beat an immortal, and if you're me, then you have ways to kill an immortal".
Raven looked at Jaune, she then transformed back into her human form or her original form.
"Why do you care so much?" asked Raven. She can feel that Jaune has changed from their last meeting.
"Honestly, I don't," said Jaune. He didn't care for a person like Raven who would abandon her child and husband. "However, as I said. Summer, she sees good in you. She asked me a favour, and I made a promise to bring you to her. Whether you like it or not. But I am being civil for now".
"Hmph! I'd like to see you try!" said Raven. She then took a fighting stance. "It may have been a while since I've seen you, but do not mistake, a few years of training is not enough to combat a Maiden of my calibre".
Raven believes that Jaune was Jaune-II.
Jaune snickered at her words.
Raven was about to make her move, but Jaune disappeared, and she felt something strike her at the back of her neck…Suffice it to say, she was knocked out cold.
"Well, that was easy," said Jaune. He knew that he could beat her, but not in a single strike.
Jaune has the habit of attacking people with the same strength he uses against Scáthach. He forgets that the people of Remnant are nothing like him and his wives.
Jaune shrugged his shoulder and carried Raven on his shoulder and opened a portal to Vacuo.
As Jaune entered the portal, he heard immense laughter.
Once again, Jaune snickered.
Why? Because he knew why people are laughing.
Looking around, Jaune saw Glynda, Oobleck, Port, Peach, Anne, and Harold. They were looking at Tai, who was in a maid outfit. They were people that were brought to Vacuo by the Iron Destroyer.
Jaune sighed. He wanted to have Glynda in Vale, but then again, Scáthach should be able to defend the city on her own. Plus, he would ask Sylvia to assist Scáthach in the fight. It should be enough.
"Now, that is hilarious!" said Port. He was laughing. It reminded him of the time that Qrow wore a skirt to class. "Quite manly of you to show off your legs".
"Can you guys stop laughing!" said Tai. He was embarrassed. He thought it was something that would only be in his house, but no! The damned Arc had to bring him to Vacuo without letting him get a change of clothes. "How am I supposed to fight in these?".
Jaune approached the group of people and spoke.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about it, I enchanted the outfit," said Jaune. He then tossed Raven to Tai. "Here, I made good on my promise to Summer. I tried being civil a first, but she tried to attack me. Although, I never gave her a chance since I knocked her out quickly".
Summer was behind Tai, Jaune did not see her.
"Thanks," said Summer. She then hoisted Raven up to her shoulder and brought her to one of the housings that Jaune created for the evacuees of Atlas and Mantle.
What Summer was going to do to Raven was not known to anyone, but Tai may have an inkling.
Tai shrugged the feeling he was having when staring at Summer, who was retreating to one of the housings, he looked at Jaune and spoke.
"So, kid. What did you mean by enchanting my outfit?" asked Tai. He knew of the Maiden's existence, but he didn't remember them being able to enchant things. "Also, another Remnant, that's a wild thing to think about".
"First, with the outfit. As I said, I enchanted it to be able to act like armour. That means you don't have to change. The enchantment on your outfit outperforms any armour you can find here on Remnant," said Jaune. It was true. No armour can hope to compare to Tai's maid outfit. "Secondly, you're right, it is wild. I may have travelled to different universes, but I never thought about going to a different version of Remnant, a parallel world to my own".
The conversation continued between Jaune and everyone that wanted to know about the other Remnant, but he had a job to do.
Jaune couldn't forget that he needs to bring Blake back and find Dr Polendina and Maria Calavera.
Amongst team RWBY, Blake was the one that asked to be brought to Menagerie a few days after the others.
Jaune now had to head to Menagerie to bring Blake back to her team. It has been a while since Jaune was in Menagerie, it was during Blake's birthday.
Opening a portal, Jaune saw many Faunus looking at the portal he opened.
Looking around, Jaune saw the Belladonna house. No matter how far you are, it was an easy house to spot. It was the biggest in Kuo Kuana.
Walking around, Jaune is being stared at, it reminded him of the first time he and the others went to Menagerie.
Besides Blake, there was no other Faunus in their group. There was Velvet, but she mostly hangs out with her team.
Jaune can count on one hand the times he spent with Velvet. It is five times.
Arriving at the Belladonna household, Jaune noticed that there were parts of the house that looked like it burned. He could guess that something happened, something that didn't happen in his version of Remnant.
Jaune looked at the door and sighed. He remembered that the Belladonna house do not have a doorbell. Instead, it had a huge door knocker.
Jaune knocked on the door and out came Blake's mom, Kali Belladonna.
"Hello, can I help you, young man?" asked Kali. She looked Jaune up and down. He seems to be Blake's type.
"Hello, Mrs Belladonna. My name is Jaune Arc. I'm here for Blake," said Jaune. With the way that Kali looked at him, he knew that Kali didn't know this world's Jaune Arc.
"Oh? Are you one of her suitors?" asked Kali.
Behind the door, Jaune heard a loud 'Mom!' before Kali was pulled into the house and away from the door.
What replaced Kali was Blake.
"Sorry about that. My mom tends to act that way when she meets a guy my age," said Blake. She sighed at her mom's antics. She then looked Jaune in the eyes with a serious expression. "So, this is it? The final fight with Salem".
"It is the final fight with Salem, but do not forget, there are many other threats that Remnant may face in the future," said Jaune. "Are you ready?".
"Yes, I just need to say Goodbye to my parents," said Blake.
However, when she turned around, she saw her parents ready for a fight.
"Blake, we heard from Ilia about the broadcast that your friend made," said Ghira. He was not going to let his daughter fight a threat to Remnant without him and his wife. "I know, you're going to need all the help you can get. Your mother and I have been talking about this, and we are going to fight alongside you".
"What?! No! You and mom have a responsibility here in Menagerie," said Blake. She was afraid that something bad may happen to them.
"And if you lose the fight? There is going to be no Remnant, thus, no Menagerie," said Kali. She was not going to back down in this conversation. "Just like you Blake, since the last time you were here, Ghira and I have been training. We won't back down from this. We are going to fight with you to save Remnant".
Jaune looked at Kali and Ghira with a smile. He then leaned into Blake's ears and whispered.
"I like your parents, they are awesome!" whispered Jaune. However, since the Belladonna were feline Faunus, their hearing was impeccable and heard what Jaune said.
"Oh! Blake, I like this one," said Ghira. "I prefer him over the monkey boy from before".
"Dad!" grumbled Blake. "Can we not talk about my love life?".
"Fine, but we already made up our minds. And there is nothing you can do about it," said Ghira. "But seriously, Blake. I prefer this one".
Blake rolled her eyes. Her father is only saying that because Jaune found him great.
Just like the others, Jaune opened a portal to Vacuo, but before everyone entered, he heard a shout.
"Wait!" shouted Ilia. She was running towards Blake and her family. "I'm coming with you!".
Seeing no reason to reject, Jaune moved the portal to transport him, the Belladonna and Ilia.
Now, Jaune only had one more thing to do before the fight for Remnant commences. Find Dr Polendina and Maria Calavera.
