This time, it was time for the last fight with Salem.

The indicator? The massive amounts of Grimm were in the air and land.

Plus, there were dozens of Monstra as well.

"Well, that's one hell of a firepower she is bringing," said Jaune. He then looked at everyone. "Why do you think she brought so much? I thought it might be the same as when you lot were fighting her at Atlas".

Ruby and the others looked at each other. They did not know why Salem was bringing the entirety of her army.

Even with the amount of Grimm in front of him, Jaune shrugged off what he saw. More power to the others.

"I guess you are all in luck," said Jaune. He then gave them all Pill of Gluttony. "With all this Grimm, you should be able to power up significantly. Don't waste this chance. You don't know what may come in the future. By then, I won't be here to help".

Everyone nodded at Jaune.

With Salem arriving, it also meant the arrival of Cinder Fall.

Jaune-II looked toward the Monstra and gripped his sword.

Pyrrha saw this. She reassuringly held his hand. This gave Jaune-II more confidence.

"Unlike at the Fall of Beacon, we'll do this together, all of us," said Pyrrha. She looked at her team, team RWBY and the Professors. She will not fail as she did back then. "We can win this".

From afar, Salem and Cinder looked at all the people that dare oppose them.

"Mistress, Tyrian has failed his mission," said Cinder. She said so with a hidden smirk. "He could either be dead or captured".

Cinder then looked at the group of Huntsman and Huntresses that dare oppose them.

"With all these people here, there is no doubt that Tyrian has told them of your plans," said Cinder. She was revelling in the fact that not only did Tyrian fail, but he also spoke of Salem's plans. "Honestly? I never like that guy".

Salem knew Tyrian was her most loyal subject. There is no way that he would have spoken. Unless there was someone in her opposition capable of making him speak. That would mean that he didn't go down without a fight. Either that, or there was someone in her opposition that had a semblance of reading the minds of others.

"It doesn't matter," said Salem. She didn't care if they knew of her plans and were ready for her. Why? Because to her, no matter what they do, it would result in their failure. "We will continue as planned. We will attack Vacuo and find the Summer Maiden. At the same time, there will be a group of Monstra attacking Vale. I've had enough waiting for the Relics to land in my hands. I already have two of them, the other two, I'll take it in person".

Back with Jaune and the others, they were not afraid of the fight that was about to begin.

Two years, they have been training and travelling for two years to end this fight.

Now? They end it all.

Jaune looked at everyone and saw that they were ready for this fight. He nodded in approval. They were not backing down even with all the Grimm in their view.

As everyone watched the Grimm, they charged as they saw the Grimm charge.

It was time to fight for the survival of Remnant and its people.

Jaune didn't take part in the killing of Grimm. He didn't have to, since the others needed it more than he did.

With each kill, the people that took the Pills of Gluttony got stronger.

With Crescent Rose Jr., Ruby could kill Grimm more effectively since she didn't have to worry about the ammo count. She was going ham on the Grimm. When she was about to be overwhelmed, she would use her powers as a Silver-Eyed Warrior. This goes for Summer as well.

Then there is Weiss. She was using Lambent Light to the fullest. With the materials of Lambent Light, her summons was much easier to summon. Plus, she could bring forth more than a few at once. With each thrust of her weapon, a Grimm would perish. With each perished Grimm, her summons would have a less translucent look. Her summon was getting stronger.

For Blake, it was like Ruby. With her new Gambol Shroud, she didn't have to worry about the ammo count. She would fire her gun without worry. The length of her 'ribbon' in the gun would extend as far as she needed. The blade was so sharp that she didn't have to use too much force to cut the Grimm.

Yang was enjoying having her arms back. It was different. When she had a mechanical arm, she felt the weight of it. It is no surprise that she did. It was an enormous lump of metal hanging from her stump. However, even though she only got her hand back recently, she could use it to full effect. And with the Nano-Gauntlet that Jaune gave her, she could blow away the Grimm, literally. The repulsors would blow them away from her and kill them.

The most entertaining part of team RWBY is their coordination. It was splendid. Their way of covering each other was a prime example of why teamwork is important.

"You know, for a fight to save Remnant, I am having fun," said Yang. She didn't know why, but the tension that she felt in the past few years was not present in this fight. "I seem to enjoy this fight a bit".

"Same! I don't know why, but I feel relaxed," said Ruby. She agreed. The smile she once lost was coming back. "It feels like that time when we were still at Beacon and fought the White Fang on the train".

"I disagree," said Weiss. This felt nothing like Mt Glenn. "I think it feels more like when we fought Roman when he stole the Paladin".

"I would have to agree with Ruby, Weiss," said Blake. Of course, to her, it would feel nothing like the Roman Torchwick robot incident. She was being chased then. "This is more like Mt Glenn".

As RWBY chatted, close to them were team JNPR.

Team JNPR, similarly to RWBY, they were getting stronger as they fought thanks to the pills of Gluttony.

Jaune-II has gotten stronger and better at using the sword thanks to Jaune's training, but this is different. He can feel something inside of him forming with every kill he makes. So, rather than use his Aura, he tried to tap into the energy that has formed inside him. He made that energy burst out from his sword. It was Mana Burst-ish.

"Holy!" said Nora. The amount of power from a single strike could blast a dozen Grimm. "How did you do that?! I wanna try it!".

"I… I'm not sure. I felt a new form of energy inside my body and used it to increase my sword strike," said Jaune-II. He then pointed at the destruction of his Mana Burst. "Then this happened".

"Cool! Let me try it!" said Nora. She then tapped into the energy Jaune was talking about and slammed her Magnhild on a Grimm. She created a massive crater. "Epic! I am so going to continue using this!".

Nora ran towards a horde of Grimm; she then used her new technique. With each strike of her hammer, it got stronger and stronger.

"Mu-ha-ha-ha!" laughed Nora. She was having. She then leapt into the air and shouted. "Here's Nora!".

"Maybe… Maybe I shouldn't have told her how I could do it," said Jaune-II. Then again, they are here to kill as many Grimm as they can. "Although, this is a good thing?".

"Let's just say it is a good thing and deal with the consequences later," sighed Ren. This was going to be big trouble later. "I can't imagine how destructive our future is going to be".

"Come on, it can't be that bad. Nora has changed since the time at Beacon, right?" said Pyrrha. She saw Nora was a lot mellow than before. "It can't be that bad".

The others that took the Pills of Gluttony were getting stronger as they killed the Grimm.

All was happy. They were getting stronger by the minute.

However, there was someone that wasn't happy with the outcome… Salem. It irritated her that the people beneath her could push back her Grimm.

"Cinder, I want you to head down there and kill those incessant fools. If the Grimm is not enough, then surely, you, as a Maiden, will be," said Salem. This was a threat. Cinder knew it was. "I expect you to be triumphant".

"Yes, mistress," said Cinder. She then flew to the battlefield. "Hmph! It won't be long now. Soon, I will have my rightful place in the new world".

As Cinder descended into the battlefield, she saw something that shouldn't have been there.

"Impossible, it can't be!" said Cinder. It was Pyrrha Nikos. The Invincible Girl. "How can this be?! I made sure that she was dead!".

Cinder could not believe the return of Pyrrha Nikos. She turned her to dust to make sure there was no chance for her return.

"No matter, I killed her once. I can do it again," said Cinder. She had no reason to fear the Invincible Girl. She knew the girl was nothing like her moniker. "This is going to be fun!".

Cinder descended and slammed herself to the ground in front of team JNPR.

Cinder was hoping to see the despair on team JNPR's face when they see her, but that was not the case.

All she saw was silent wrath as Clarent went for her neck.

Seeing the sword, Cinder tried to block it, but that was a mistake. The strike of the sword was so strong that it nearly shattered her Aura.

"What?!" said Cinder. The strength of the buffoon was much greater than it was before. "How…".

What Cinder was about to say was cut off as she saw the shadow of a hammer. She looked up and saw Nora ready to slam her hammer at her. She moved out of the way, but even if Nora's hammer could only strike the ground, the sheer wind pressure of the strike caused Cinder to fly back over a dozen metres.

Again, Cinder had no time to think. She needed to get up and fight back. But when she was about to, she felt a strike on her solar plexus. Lie Ren stuck her with an Aura-powered strike. This completely shattered her remaining Aura.

Last, Cinder Fall felt a searing pain in her chest. In it was Milo in its javelin form.

"This can't be…," said Cinder. This was not how it was supposed to go. She was supposed to be by Salem's side, ruling over the new Remnant. "I…".

Whatever Cinder was about to say was never said. She died before it could be said.

The power of the Fall Maiden lifted away from Cinder and flew to its new host, Pyrrha. However, before that was about to happen, Jaune captured the energy and shoved it back to its origin: Ozma.

"There, you can have your old magic back," said Jaune. He saw Ozma nod at him. "Not that it matters since you are getting much stronger thanks to the pills I gave you".

"Indeed, but it is good to have back something that once belonged to me," said Ozma. "With this, there shall be no other Fall Maiden".

"That's well and good, but there are still the other Maidens," said Jaune. He then looked at Ozma. He knew what the man was thinking. "Worry not, I will help you transfer all the Maiden's power back to you".

"Thank you," said Ozma. He was grateful. "With this, there will be no more hunt for the Maidens".

Ozma then continued.

"You know, with the return of magic thanks to you, I don't know what the future Remnant will have," said Ozma. He didn't know if the new magic gained by the others would be a good thing or not. All he could do was guide them to use it for the good of all. "What I can do is guide them and hope for the best".

The fight for Remnant's survival continued to rage.

Salem was not happy after she saw Cinder fall to her enemies with no fighting chance. It was a disgrace.

"It seems if you need something done," said Salem. She then headed out of the Monstra. "You need to do it yourself".

All her pawns are now gone. It was time for her to make a move.
