It has been four days since they dropped off Sara and Ava. Circumstances in the Waverider are relatively mellow. The crew have followed the list of rules so far. They have mostly scattered themselves within the time ship as it is stagnant in the temporal zone. Gwyn is helping Alun adapt to living on the ship. When the ship's multiple functions start confounding him excessively, Alun secludes himself in the pocket dimension. Hopefully, he does not open the front door. Gwyn learnt that lesson the hard way. Spooner is checking on the engine. Otherwise, she is seen hanging out with Zari (Tarazi) or Astra. Gideon spends time with Gary, her boyfriend, when she is not busy commandeering the Waverider. Similarly, Astra is dating Behrad. She would also find time to exercise her magic or hang with Spooner.

One afternoon, Gwyn approaches Gideon, who is in the parlor. "Pardon the intrusion, Miss Gideon. I wish to have a word with you."

"Of course, Dr. Davies. Come in."

He begins, "Alun has been feeling rather stifled by the confines in the dimension. He finds it difficult to write poetry. I would have him speak with you about this, but he is not fully acquainted with everyone on the ship."

"I understand. What are you hoping for on his behalf?"

"Well, I suggest that I take him to the countryside in Wales. Hopefully, it would liberate him."

Gideon ruminates Dr. Davies' petition carefully. "How long do you intend to stay in Wales?"

"I would like to say, a week. Probably, a month."

"Sara and Ava did not prohibit us from visiting any era of our choice. On the other hand, they are expecting all of us by the end of next week." Gwyn nodded his head in understanding what she is implying.

"I would ensure that we will return before the end of next week."

Behrad, who was walking through the corridor, overhears this. "Are you leaving, Gwyn?" Gwyn and Gideon turn around to see him standing in the back doorway.

"Hello, Behrad," Gideon greeted.

"Well, not exactly. I was hoping for a trip to the countryside. I'm making this appeal on Alun's behalf."

"Nice," Behrad answered. "In fact, I want to ask you something similar. I need to 'find more space' for a while."

"Would you like to accompany them," Gideon offered. "Unless that is a problem for you, Dr. Davies?"

"With all due respect, I was opting for only the two of us." At that moment, he begins stroking his beard in consideration. "On the other hand, maybe bringing all will help him interact with the rest of you in a more commonplace setting."

"'All'?" Gideon and Behrad expressed.

"Miss Gideon, I would like to alter my original bidding in favor of a... what you would call an exclusively overnight outing for the fellas."

"You mean, a guys' trip," Behrad inferred. Gwyn nodded his head. "Are you sure about this? I don't want to impose. Neither would Gary."

"I'm absolutely certain. Besides, it would not be the first time I'm surrounded by men." The two men look onto Gideon for her final decision.

"If I approve this, you both adhere to the rules placed by Ava and Sara, specifically Rules #2, 4, 5, and 6. This extends to Gary and Alun. Do you both understand?"

"Yes," Gwyn and Behrad confirmed.

"Okay, then." So, it goes. Gwyn informed Alun about his idea. Fortunately, he is amendable with Behrad and Gary tagging along. Gideon proposes the notion of the exhibition to Gary in his quarters. She explains, "It will consist of you, Behrad, Dr. Davies, and Mr. Thomas. You once told me that you've never been on a guys' trip. It would be a new human experience."

"Yeah, but I love when we explore 'human experiences' together."

"Me too. There are other things we can do individually."

"You're right," he said with a hurt smile on his face. Gideon attentively cups his face with her hands.

"I'm not pushing you away, Gary. You understand that, do you?"

Gary stares into her eyes. "I know. Remember the last time we spent time apart?" Gideon immediately cringes from that recurrence. Her evil computer twin had tricked her into thinking that Gary ran out of her after they had their first fight. She didn't know that Evil Gideon made an attempt on his life. It was not until she was reunited with the Legends following their six-week retirement that she learned the truth. While Gary has forgiven her since then, she could not forget it. Lately, this has been haunting her in her dreams. Witnessing her reaction, he inquired, "Gideon, what's wrong?"

"Nothing," she lied. She relaxes herself down before she commented, "I won't fault you for choosing to stay unless you're satisfactory with the idea of being the only male on the ship."

Gary knows well that he is unpopular with Zari and Astra. He does not even have a friendship with Spooner. Among the three of them, Astra terrifies him more because she is Gideon's "mother". Long story short, she has reincarnated her into her human form. "On second thought, it does not hurt to set off into a separate adventure. One question, can we stop by somewhere first?"

In his quarters, Behrad is packing his knapsack with clothes when Zari walks in. "I just saw Gwyn before he went into the manor. He told me that you are leaving for Wales, along with himself, Gary, and Alun. Is this true?"

"Yeah, it is." Zari moves from the door towards her younger brother. "Does this sudden piece of news, by any chance, involve your fight with Astra?"

Behrad stops for a moment. "We had a disagreement, Z. There is a difference." He continues packing his bags without directly looking at her.

"You know, a disagreement is still a fight, even without the yelling."

Getting annoyed by his sister's prying into his relationship, he speedily charges past her and retrieves a few pairs of underwear from his drawer. He stuffs them into his knapsack. Zari remains her stance with her arms crossed at him.

"Know this, little brother. Your 'disagreement' with Astra won't go away until you work it out." She turns around and exits the room. Behrad said nothing else about it and finishes packing.

The next morning, the Waverider has arrived in Pembroke, Southwest Wales. The year is 2019. The ship's clocking device is activated. This time, the crew meets up in the cargo bay. Zari hugs Gwyn and Behrad farewell. Spooner shakes Alun's hand before she notices Astra missing. After Zari moves away from Behrad, she comes near him and tells him, "I'll tell Astra you said bye."

Behrad gives Spooner a sorrowful smile, saying, "Thanks, Spooner." However, Astra walks in at that moment. She stops in front of him and gives him a cold handshake. She proceeds to regard Gwyn and Alun, while he sadly throws his knapsack over his shoulder. Spooner notices this and shakes her head.

Gary shares a moment with Gideon. As he bids his adieu, he told her, "I got you something." He reaches inside his jacket pocket and presents a small gift to her.

The wrapping paper is periwinkle blue with green hearts. She lightly shakes the package. "What is this?"

"Open it after I leave," he replied. His smile changes into a look of genuine concern. "Hey, how are you feeling today?"

"I'm okay," she responds in a pleasant manner. Her smile completely masks her inner distress.

He is not swayed by this. "No, I'm being serious, Gideon. I keep playing your reaction from our talk yesterday in my mind. Did I say something hurtful?"

"No, you didn't. I'm feeling all right," she countered. "Gary, will you promise me that you won't get into trouble, please?"

Gary notices quivering in her voice, but he did not want to alarm her further. So, he simply articulated, "I promise." They rub thumbs. The four women watch as the four men exits the airlock. Spooner closes the door hatch once they have set foot on the grass. Astra and Zari head up to the bridge with Gideon curiously inspecting her gift from Gary. Spooner called, "Hey, Giddy, are you coming?"

"Oh, yes," she answered and they resign to the bridge.
