Taiyang was shocked that six strangers would aid his eldest daughter in finding Ruby. They were currently in the living room with wrecker having taken Ruby to bed. Yang, of course, had lead him there while hunter had carried Crescent Rose upstairs as well.

"And that's our story." Tech said. "I see." Tai said "thank you for bringing my daughters home safe." Hunter nodded. All in a day's work. Now normally we'd ask to be paid, but this was free of charge." He said. Tai frowned before yang answered. "They're guns for hire dad." Tai nodded. "Why is it free of charge?" he asked. Five of the bad batch members looked to Outrider.

"One of Outrider's codes is that family means everything. Even more than loyalty." Crosshair said gaining everyone's attention. "So, you do respect Outrider, even after betraying your team to side with this so called galactic empire?" Yang said furrowing her eyebrows.

Cross hair got up angrily but before he could do anything, Outrider drew one of his two blaster pistols and aimed at crosshair. "Sit your kriffing ass down Crosshair unless you want to die." Crosshair glared at outrider whom did the same. "My trigger finger's getting itchy." The ARF trooper said. the sniper growled before sitting down.

"And that's why you don't want to piss him off." Hunter said as Outrider holstered his pistol. "He's very protective." Tai nodded. "If you're looking for work you could head to beacon with my daughter, and get missions from Ozpin. He's the headmaster." He said. "Especially, if your "hyperdrive" is out."

While they had been in the Xiao Long household, Omega had called in and said that the hyperdrive was shot most likely from the random jump caused by the nebula. "you guys can hitch a ride with Ruby and I, since you'd probably cause mass panic with your ship." Yang said giving the heavy gunner a side glance while a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Taiyang, I do believe your eldest may harbor some feelings for Outrider." Tech whispered to the elder blond. "Yeah, I noticed." Tai said. "if it's alright with you guys, omega could stay here while you're away." Hunter pondered this. "She'd be upset with that. After all every job we did till Crosshair rejoined she was on. Save for one." Echo said. "We'll talk it over with her."

The next day

"Wow, you can see signal from here." Ruby said. "yep, but beacon's our home now." Yang said as a white armored hand with a red striped was placed on her shoulder. Turning around she saw Tech. "Don't you mean your home away from home?" he said. Yang blushed and scratched the back of her head. "Yeah."

The rest of bad batch came up beside them. "So, how'd a fifteen year old like you jump two years ahead?" Hunter asked Ruby. "I… stopped a robbery by myself and professor Ozpin offered me the chance to attend Beacon two years early." The scarlet reaper said shyly. This made the bad batch look at her in both shock and surprise. "You stopped a robbery by yourself. Wow, if we were recruiting I'd suggest you right away." Wrecker said making ruby blush.

The rest of bad batch looked at him. "What? I'm just saying if we were." Ruby and yang smiled at the exchange. "the view's really good up here." The two turned to face Outrider. "Yeah it is." Yang said. suddenly the group of eight heard gagging.

"Well," echo said looking at a fellow beacon hopeful whom had a hand over his mouth. "I guess the view isn't for everyone." The bad batch snickered. "Hey, we might make new friends here too." Ruby said. "Friends unlike vomit boy over there." Yang said jabbing a thumb at the air sick boy. Ruby looked down and backed away.

"Aw, gross." She said. "What's wrong?" Hunter. "there's puke on yang's shoe." Ruby said and everyone simultaneously looked down and saw the rancid liquid on yang's shoe. "Gross. Gross. Gross. Gross. Gross!" yang said hopping on one foot towards Ruby intending to use her sister's cape. "Get away from me! get away from me!" ruby said.

(insert benny hill music here)

the Bad Batch merely stood and watched the sisters run back and forth. "This… is oddly entertaining." Crosshair said as a smile crept onto his face. "I have to agree. However, they're making a scene." Tech said as Outrider caught Yang. "Easy there yellow Dragon." He said before wiping off her puke covered shoe with a wipe before tossing it. Outrider turned to yang and saw that she was blushing.

"What's wrong?" he asked. "I do believe you accidentally gave her an affectionate nickname outrider." Tech said. Outrider blushed behind his helmet's visor "Sorry." He said. "Don't be." Yang said rubbing her arm. "I… kind of like it." Outrider smiled. "We're here." Hunter said taking his helmet off.

The group of eight disembarked as Crosshair, Tech, Echo, Wrecker, and Outrider took off their helmets. "Orders, hunter?" Tech asked. "Wrecker, Outrider. Stay with the kids while Crosshair, Echo, Tech, and I try to locate the headmaster." Hunter said. "He might be at the welcoming ceremony so if you're quick you could catch him." Yang said. "Good observation Yang, but we should stick with hunter's orders." Tech said as the girls nodded. "He has grey hair, he wears a green scarf and glasses. He also uses a cane to walk." Ruby said. "Thanks for the description little Red." Hunter said. "Let's go."

"Wow that kid's got a flaming sword." Ruby said gaining stars in her eyes. "Weapon nut?" Outrider asked yang. Yang nodded as Wrecker gently pulled Ruby back towards them. Wrecker chuckled. "Whoa there little red, I thought you loved your weapon?" Ruby gave Wrecker a glare before unholstering Crescent Rose cradling it like a baby.

"Of Course, I love Crescent Rose. It's just I love seeing new weapons." She said. "You should also focus on making new friends, Ruby. Caring only about weapons is an unhealthy habit." Outrider said. "Why should I when I have you, yang, Wrecker, and the rest of Bad Batch." Ruby said before yang took off with some of her "friends" Outrider gawked at her. "Yang wait." He said before glancing at Wrecker. "stay with Ruby, Wrecker."

"Where are we supposed to go? To our dorms? Do we even have dorms?" Ruby said dizzy. Wrecker turned around to help steady the scarlet reaper only to see her trip and knock over some luggage. "Ow." Ruby said rubbing her head before grabbing one of the cases. "Excuse me. What are you doing?" Ruby looked up to see a white hair.

"I'm sorry. It was an accident. I was disoriented and couldn't stay still." Ruby said handing over a suitcase. The girl tore it out of her hands and continued her rant much to Wrecker's annoyance. "Do you have any idea how fragile these are." she said. "um.." Ruby said. "Do you even know what dust is?" Wrecker grit his teeth as the girl began to shake a vial of "Dust" in front of Ruby

"This is mined and purified by the Schnee dust company." She ranted. Wrecker was about to intervene when he saw Ruby begin to show signs of sneezing. "Hey lady!" Wrecker said gaining the girl's attention "What." She said. "I suggest you take cover." Wrecker said pointing at Ruby. The girl's eyes widened just as ruby sneezed.

"Talk about an explosive sneeze. Wow." Wrecker said as the cloud dissipated. To his dismay the white haired girl continued to rant. 'Ok, I've had it with her.' He thought. "That's enough. Why don't you pick on someone NOT your size." Wrecker said pushing the girl down.

"Who are you anyways." The girl sneered getting up. Wrecker was about answer when Ruby spoke. "Wrecker. It was an accident." She said as the girl dusted herself off. "Do you two have any idea as to who I am?" Wrecker and Ruby looked at each other before looking back at the girl shrugging. The girl was about to respond when another voice spoke up.

"Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company" the trio turned to see a raven haired girl with a bow on her head. "thank you. Finally, some recognition." "Weiss" said. "The raven haired girl the continued with, to Wrecker's surprise, a hint of anger. "the same company that uses inhumane jobs for faunas." Weiss grew angry at this. "How dare you accuse-" She said approaching the girl before Wrecker pulled her back sending her to the ground. Just before she got up the vial of dust fell into her lap.

"Listen Weiss. I'm not someone you want to mess with now please leave little red alone. She apologized already." Wrecker said scaring the girl. "Wrecker, that's enough!" Ruby said before offering Weiss a hand. "Sorry, about Wrecker… he's a tad protective." Weiss looked at Ruby before looking fearfully at Wrecker. "He's a big softie once you get to know him." Weiss took Ruby's hand. "I'm sorry I sneezed in your face, but the dust irritated my nose." Weiss nodded but realized something.

"How old are you… er?" she asked "I'm Ruby Rose." The scarlet reaper said before pointing at the gentle giant behind her. "And that's wrecker." Weiss nodded. "Well then, ruby how old are you?" she asked. "Fifteen." Ruby said sheepishly. Weiss and the raven haired girl blinked.

"How in Oum's name were you able to get in two years early!?" Weiss and the girl asked. "Well…" ruby began.

A/N: and that's a wrap. Chapter 3 done. As you can tell I had Ruby's first encounter with Weiss and Blake go differently since wrecker was with her. Next chapter will see some more Outrider x yang before initiation and the initiation itself. Please read and review that being said peace.
