Chapter 754
Impressive
Moments ago:
Cameron waited for the missile to strike. She made sure her troops were behind cover. They used the mass of the giant bulldozer as a shield. She double checked that Savannah was protected. She watched the opening for a breakout. The missile soundless came in faster than the speed of sound. It disappeared into the opening in a fraction of a second. There was a bright flash of light and the sound of an explosion as a massive fireball billowed out of the breach in the bunker wall.
She realized that was a very good plan and an effective strategy that Savannah used in this instance. John, Savannah and even Young Allison could always offer advice that was different than what a Terminator may come up with. That was one of the reasons John normally was where he was supposed to be, working alongside John Henry in the Command Center of the Resistance base. She thought she'd better not start thinking about that right now. There was no need to experience a glitch impulse. It was time for action.
Cameron led the assault into the bunker as soon as the fireball started to dissipate. She was the first one through the opening. The air was still thick with smoke and dust. A few small fires burnt in places. There were a few computer terminals set up. One may have controlled security. She didn't have time to check now. Some of them may have monitored the reactor output. That would have allowed the Grays to know when they could take additional energy and remain undetected. She needed to move on.
There were several dead Grays that the missile took out. If the missile hadn't been fired, the others and her would have taken damage at the hands of the waiting Grays. There were weapons next to all of them. They were poised to ambush them. Savannah's idea worked perfectly to thwart their attempt.
A very short while after they'd entered the bunker; there was an explosion from near where the inner bunker blast door would be. It appeared the Grays attempted to make a breakout by blowing the blast door open. It was followed by gunfire from the outside. That meant Cammy and Savannah now engaged Grays.
The latest move by the Grays upset her greatly. She started to move her force in that direction but held them as she heard a drone fire patterned bursts of gunfire. She figured that a missile strike on that location would soon occur, it did. It was followed soon afterward by a jolt they could all feel. Cameron figured that was the bulldozer blocking the original entrance. She knew Cammy and Savannah were still in the game. She didn't think the Grays would get out that way.
Cameron dispersed some of her force to cover the direction they were going and the area they'd come from. She led two of their Terminators toward the original entrance to check on the activity that just occurred there. She wanted to make sure the Grays there were neutralized. If any were still alive, they would be terminated.
There were three wounded Grays there and the bodies of a few more, one was burning. Cameron opened fire on them, two fell immediately. One managed to dodge away and get off a few pistol shots before he was killed by her as well. Cameron fired into each of the fallen to make sure none rose. She was able to see the massive blade of the bulldozer blocked the doorway. That way out was now a dead end. Any explosives used against it would be directed up and around the slight curve of the massive blade.
Cameron felt the areas they'd just cleared should remain that way. It was always a possibility more Grays could show up.
"This area is clear, as is the area we came through." Cameron said. "I want one of you on each side and the others to follow me. Go through everything and pull the hard drives and gather the phones as well."
There was some kind of electrical equipment near the far wall. Cameron looked over it. She determined what its nature was. Once it was shut down it would allow the drones to be under direct control and maybe some of their communications would function again as well.
"After we pass, I want one of you to destroy this. I believe it's the jamming device." Cameron said.
Cameron led the troops forward. She heard some firing after they'd gone in a ways. One of them destroyed the electronic device. She quickly checked her phone and communications gear, none of it worked. She was sure it was all fried from the massive electrical discharge. The cause and nature of it were still unknown.
She knew none of their electrical gear worked but maybe one of the phones from the fallen Grays did. She turned to the closest Terminator.
"Frank, do any of those phones work?" Cameron asked.
They waited as Frank checked them.
"Negative." Frank said after a minute. "We're inside the bunker too far."
After the trouble with the Grays and the attempted breakout Cameron wanted some additional security. She worried that Cammy or Savannah would come to look for her at some point.
"Frank, remain on this level." Cameron said. "We're moving below. Watch for Savannah or Cammy to enter, shoot anything else that moves."
Frank readied his M4.
"Affirmative…." Frank said. "Anyone else will be terminated."
Cameron looked at the rest of the Terminators.
There was never any hesitation when Cameron led a team into battle. They knew she wouldn't stop until she was victorious. There was no 'halfway' with Cameron. Skynet and all the evil it spawned would be terminated.
"Follow me." Cameron said.
Down the rabbit hole they went.
Cammy finished dragging over another dead Gray before she joined Savannah.
Savannah was already behind two that were overlapping each other, with a third in front. Cammy was now behind a pile of dead as well.
She looked at the dead men that now provided her with cover. It seemed somewhat ironic. She was the one who 'shot the horses'. It was for survival, not for cover earlier.
"I killed these men." Savannah said. "I killed a lot of people today."
The only one that bothered her was the female Gray. She could still see 'those eyes'.
Cammy tilted her head slightly. The last two men that were sideways in front of the two stacked decedents were missing most of their heads.
"You only killed four of these traitors to humanity. The others are still over there." Cammy said. "The ones with the blown open heads, Cameron and I shot. You protected Cameron and me. That's all that matters. You won, they lost. WE won and they lost."
Savannah didn't think it really mattered. She did wonder how secure their position was. She knew a rifle bullet could easily pass through one person if no bones were encountered.
"Will these bodies stop all rifle bullets?" Savannah asked.
Cammy believed they were in good shape. The bodies weren't their only asset. The inferior weapons the Grays often used would help limit their effectiveness. They seemed to rely on European and former Soviet block equipment. The 'Black Market' was flooded with both of those.
"I'd say at three human bodies deep, it should offer plenty of protection." Cammy said. "We should have drone support as well, even if it is autonomous. You saw how one reacted to the breakaway."
Savannah did see. She thought it was cut a little close for her to get better cover but she was behind cover before the missile struck. It was probably a precision timed shot based on when she was shielded with sufficient cover.
She listened to the action inside the bunker. It was all quiet now. She didn't know if the original occupants were dead or if they'd retreated further inside.
"The firing inside has faded and seems further away." Savannah said.
Cammy was most concerned with stragglers or cowards that hid from the initial battle. She was sure at this point the remainder of the Grays that survived were decimated as a fighting force.
"The question now will be, did they miss anyone and if they did, will they try to make a break for it?" Cammy asked. "Grays are cowards by definition. Some of them could have chose to hide instead of fight. That's who we need to worry about."
Savannah thought about how best to combat that situation. She doubted they would exit as a group.
"There's no cover once they're out." Savannah said. "If anyone makes it out, I think we should wait a few seconds to see if anyone else follows them."
Savannah knew if they cut the Grays down right away, that anyone else who followed them wouldn't exit. If they thought it was clear and they could get away, they would exit.
Cammy agreed with that assessment. She wanted to explain why they didn't use that strategy earlier when the breakout from the bunker entrance occurred.
"Yes, that should draw more than one out." Cammy said. "Before, we didn't want to get stuck in a cross fire situation. We wouldn't have been able to find any cover."
Savannah looked up. The sounds from the drones changed.
"It sounds like the drones are behaving differently now." Savannah said.
Cammy thought that might be a good indication.
"It appears they are under direct control of John Henry again." Cammy said. "The dampening field must be down."
Cammy checked her phone and communications gear. While Savannah continued to cover the opening.
"Mine are inopreatable." Cammy said.
Cammy took over covering the opening while Savannah checked hers.
"Mine are fried." Savannah said. "What about any of these Grays? Some of them must have carried phones."
Savannah looked around at the dead.
Cammy was aware of an earlier action.
"They were all checked for phones and intel, everything was collected." Cammy said.
Savannah thought some of them might work still.
"The stuff they gathered, where is it?" Savannah asked. "We can try some of their gear. They were all inside for the big electrical blast. Some of them would have been protected."
Cammy frowned.
"Frank has everything." Cammy said.
Savannah looked at the bunker.
"Frank is inside." Savannah said.
Cammy felt it was out of their hands for now.
"All we can do now is wait." Cammy said. "If you want to rest, I'll keep watch. I don't sleep."
Savannah didn't have any intention to do that.
"I'm good for now." Savannah said. "We'll watch together."
Savannah was keyed up and pumped full of adrenaline, she would be unable to rest even if she tried. With Cameron on the inside, she wasn't about to rest anyway. She was pretty sure at some point she was going to have to enter the bunker and go after Cameron. It wasn't something she looked forward to.
She thought maybe she should go now. Cammy would go with her. The opening would be left unattended. The drones could cover it. The lack of communications was a problem. It was more than just the jamming field. All their communications gear was fried.
They were at a disadvantage, a major one.
John watched the drone footage on his phone. He didn't see much. Maybe that was a good thing.
"Is anything happening around Cammy and Savannah?" John asked.
John Henry made sure that everything was covered.
"No." John Henry said. "Nothing is happening in the hills or in the air."
John switched to the other drone feed.
"What about with Steve's team?" John asked.
John Henry hadn't noted any changes since the gas station.
"The drone is watching the truck and the SUV following it." John Henry said.
Bob already gave that scenario some thought.
"If the SUV and truck separate, you need to see where the SUV goes. They may set up an ambush." Bob said. "The big truck will be easier to reacquire."
John Henry felt the same way. He didn't want to get burned with an ambush. It was a tactic often employed by the Resistance.
"Those are my thoughts as well." John Henry said.
It felt to John as if they'd been driving for hours. He wanted to get things resolved.
"Bob, how far away are we?" John asked.
Bob kept careful track of their position.
"We are twenty one minutes out." Bob said.
John Henry tracked them as well.
"I make it about the same time." John Henry said.
John felt that was close enough for everyone to be on alert.
"John Henry, make sure the girls are ready." John said.
John Henry was a little concerned.
"Is there some problem?" John Henry asked.
John didn't want there to be. He was sure it was all a matter of perspective.
"Not if you contact them." John said.
John Henry was sure where this was headed. He didn't want to admit to spying on them earlier through their body cams.
"Are they…?" John Henry asked.
John didn't want it to become an issue. He was still concerned about the fuel stop.
"I don't want to know or find out directly." John said. "Steve, be on the alert. That fuel stop still seems like it took too long or they were buying time."
John was afraid the Grays set up an ambush along the path they needed to follow.
Steve followed the earlier recommendation.
"We're allowing the drone to track them. We're out of visual range." Steve said.
John still worried about everyone. He was out with his troops this time.
"Everyone stay alert." John said.
John Henry wanted to reassure John the girls would be ready.
"I'll make the other call." John Henry said.
John pictured them with their heads between each other's legs. There were a multitude of additional acts and positions they could share as well. He remembered that Vanna told him all finishes were good. Some were just better. It was probably the same for the Metal girls.
"Thanks." John said.
John was worried about Cameron but this is what she did on a regular basis. Much of it was done without his direct involvement. Cameron's team seemed to have the upper hand for now. How long would that last?
Now he was in the danger zone. Were they all driving into an ambush? What kind of a problem was this going to cause for Cameron. Maybe he should have wondered what kind of a problem it was going to cause for him.
Ally was in the back of the van with Gail. Sheila was driving. Sheila decided to stay naked as she drove. That was in case she could make it into the back to be with Gail or Ally again. She was always ready for a finish, especially if it was delivered by another person. Those were always the best.
Ally looked up at Sheila driving. She was sure they were close to the rendezvous point.
"You need to get dressed." Ally said.
Sheila didn't like Ally to tell her what to do. She looked down at her sheath.
"It's dark out, nobody knows I'm naked." Sheila said. "Besides I look Hot driving naked."
Ally wanted to keep Sheila content. She didn't point out no one could see Sheila but them. She would give her a little flattery instead.
"You look Hot anytime." Ally said.
Sheila looked back at her and smiled. She planned to reward her extra special the next time they were together.
"Thanks, love." Sheila said. "You just bought yourself a few extra finishes."
John Henry called.
"What is it, love?" Sheila asked.
John Henry was aware what was going on. He couldn't see anything currently. He didn't want any problems.
"You should make contact with Steve's team in nineteen minutes." John Henry said. "Is everyone ready?"
Sheila glanced back at Ally and Gail.
"I'm always ready, love." Sheila said. "It doesn't take long to knock one off."
There was a pause.
"I mean ready for combat." John Henry said. "John needs to be protected."
Sheila looked back at Gail and Ally, they were busy. An idea popped into her head. She decided to have a little fun.
"I need one of you to get my body cam." Sheila said.
Ally looked around at the pile of gear and found one. She gave it to Sheila who saw it was already on. She resumed her previous activity.
"I'm sending you my body cam footage." Sheila said. "This is an official transmission this time."
There was a long pause.
John Henry was pleased with what he witnessed. He didn't want to seem that way. He didn't was to comment on his previous voyeurism. He wanted to move the current conversation forward.
"You're unclothed, you have nothing on." John Henry said.
Sheila moved the body cam up for a close up of her nipple rings.
"I have these on." Sheila said.
She moved one ring up and down.
John Henry was pleased with the close up images. It was better than any he'd viewed on the internet.
"I can see that." John Henry said. "That doesn't count."
John Henry was thrilled by the close up of that nature. He made sure he captured all the images himself and not just to his server.
"That's quite impressive." John Henry said.
Sheila didn't tell him Cammy was the same way. That was up to her to disclose that information. She wanted all of the attention right now for herself.
"If you got it, flaunt it." Sheila said. "Do you know how to spell - HOT?"
John Henry hoped to score a few points.
"S-H-E-I-L-A." John Henry said as he spelled her name out.
Sheila was pleased with the complement.
"See, you're not such a stiff." Sheila said.
John Henry was very 'stiff' right now. It was a different type of 'stiffness' than Sheila referred to.
Sheila lifted the camera to look behind her and over her shoulder.
John Henry was a little surprised. Ally was inverted and upside down on top of Gail.
"What are they doing?" John Henry asked.
Sheila was pleased to catch them off guard.
"It's just what it looks like." Sheila said. "They're 'finishing' up."
Ally looked over. She didn't want to be on display.
"Hey, turn that thing off." Ally said.
Ally moved away from Gail and made a lunge for the body cam.
Sheila moved it away and laughed.
Sheila liked to mess around.
"How much time did you say we needed?" Sheila asked.
Sheila already knew how much it was.
John Henry was pleased with the 'live action'.
"It's seventeen minutes." John Henry said.
Sheila wanted to tease John Henry.
"Hey, I need one of you drive. I want another round." Sheila said.
Gail finished up.
"Which one of us would you like?" Gail asked.
As long as it was a female, Sheila didn't care.
"Does it matter?" Sheila asked. "It doesn't to me. You two decide for me."
John Henry didn't want them to get carried away.
"Make sure you're ready." John Henry said.
Sheila wanted to rib him some.
"Oh, you're still there." Sheila said.
She knew he still was.
"Yes." John Henry said.
Sheila was sure that John Henry wasn't the only one to watch her body cam footage.
"Did everyone like the show?" Sheila asked.
There was a pause.
John knew he was busted.
"Yes, I did." John said. "I was impressed. Thank you."
Sheila figured John monitored the feed through John Henry, since Bob or John didn't make the call themselves. She wanted to remind John she was 'available'. Cameron programmed into all of the Metal girls that John was the only male they could be with, especially for their 'first time'. Any violation of that rule was to be followed by chip extraction and deactivation.
"Thanks, you can see everything in person anytime." Sheila said. "We'll be geared up and ready for combat in ten minutes."
John was pleased.
"Thank you." John said.
Sheila was unsure about which 'thing' John just thanked her for….
Like her next partner, it really didn't matter.
You Can't Be Trusted Anymore
Darkness brightens into light
Each day the sun will still rise
Sometimes it can't be seen
As have been most of my cries
Even if we can't see it
We know it happens anyway
We know what will follow
As the night erodes away the day
We don't always need to see
To know what is going to happen
Even if it is carefully hidden
A face you are secretly slappin'
Life is about choices
It seems you have made yours
It appears what we had
Is as extinct as the dinosaurs
Look what you've done
It was you that started a war
Please stay away from me
You can't be trusted anymore
Nobody
