Astra knows that Behrad can be irking, that he is flawed. Does it make her like him less? Of course not, the last thing she expects from him is to be unrealistically perfect. He doesn't require that from her while he was crushing on her for two years. Part of the reason why she likes him is because he is inherently good-natured. If she's more open with herself the other day, then she'd acknowledged she missed him as much as she was provoked by him. Astra also wished they said something before he left, regretting that their fight was their last conversation. She declared, "I need to see Behrad."
Zari incredulously asked, "Right now?"
"Yes, right now." She gets up and returns to the medical bay with Zari in tow, but Gideon and Spooner were no longer there. So, they check the Galley; the preceding duo are drinking gin. "Gideon, we need you to plot a course for Pembrokeshire, South Wales, UK, 2019."
Gideon swallows a mouthful of her drink in awe. "Have the guys contacted us early?"
"No, we're going to surprise them." Gideon gets excited about the idea and heads to the bridge with Zari behind her. Spooner walks past her amiga alta (tall friend), still convinced that she rejected her disclosure. Astra sprints after her and stops her halfway through the corridor. "Listen, I'm glad you told me your truth."
"You are?"
"Yeah, I am. I can't believe you came out to Zari before me."
"You were flirting with Behrad at the time. I can't blame you for that. Seriously, though I didn't think she'd be the first to know either. She and I still laugh about it." As they resume walking, Spooner professed, "The day I used the jumpship, my mom became the second person I... told."
"How did she take it?"
"She's kind of baffled about it. Actually, she still is because she raised me on religious faith, but she's disposed to understand."
"That's cool." Astra wanted to ask if she's open to romance, but she can wait for another day. She throws her arm around a beaming Spooner, who is glad that a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. By the time the two walked into the bridge, Zari, who changed in a floral top and capri pants, is sitting in the front row, and Gideon is in the pilot's seat. Astra and Spooner sit the two seats closest to her.
"I'd accept it if you don't tell the others. I will do that at my own time." Astra, Gideon, and Zari all respect her wish as they fly through the temporal zone.
They arrived in Pembrokeshire; it's still nightfall. Leaving the ship parked in the open field, they set afoot at the cottage the guys have been staying in Pembroke. Astra knocked on the front door three times. They wait for one of them to answer the door, but no one came. "Maybe they're asleep," Spooner surmised.
"If they are, why are the front lights off?" Turning on the flashlight on her phone, Zari looks around them. "Where's Gidget?" They searched for her, calling her name out repeatedly. "Gideon! Gidget! Gideon!"
"I'm back here," Gideon proclaimed. The others trail the sound of her voice to the back of the cottage. She's already inside. "The back door is left unlocked." She switches on the fuse box, reactivating the power.
Astra facetiously inquired, "Why lock the front door and not the back?" When they entered the living room, the place looks clean. She starts getting a bad feeling, a very bad feeling. "Everybody, spread out and find the guys' manor keys." They did so; Astra finds one on the floor near the closet door. Spooner finds another in one of the bathroom drawers. Zari finds the third one in a bedroom desk. "All three keys are accounted for."
"Maybe they went to the pub," Spooner surmised.
"That's a reasonable guess," Zari stated with a long frown. "Except I found these in their bedrooms." She shows them four distinct wallets, each one belonging to Gwyn, Behrad, Gary and Alun.
Gideon exposes a crowbar, which she uncovered from the bushes outside. "On top of that, I found this, which explains your question, Astra." The women are now fully convinced something's wrong. "Unless proven otherwise, the guys have been kidnapped."
Astra indicated, "How do we know where to look? The abductors didn't leave any clues." The others have a discerning expression on their faces as they stare at her. Almost forgetting her magical capabilities, she inquired, "What?"
Zari informed, "Astra, you can perform astral projection, right?"
She catches on, replying, "Say no more." Standing in the middle of the kitchen, she inhales and closes her eyes. She envisions herself in the guys' current location. She finds herself in the courtyard among a small attending crowd of 50 people. The first person she sees up ahead is Lars speaking on a platform stage. As he gives a signal to someone offstage, he declared, "Here, at Pembroke Castle, we find these three men guilty of siding with these two low-life, equally culpable, and good-for-nothing foreigners." A dismayed Astra witnesses a restrained Gwyn, Behrad, Alun, Gary and Angus being escorted and tied to a stake by Oliver, Thomas, and Owen. She fumes over Lars's vicious words, the jeering crowd's positive reception, and the sight of the guys' terrified yet bruised faces. Their clothes are covered in dirt and dust. After she silently gazes at her male compatriots, she vanishes into thin air. She opens her eyes, gasping. Zari, Gideon, and Spooner look at her in anticipation, waiting for the report on their friends. "Where are they?"
"They're held at Pembroke Castle, but, guys, we need to hurry. Those rogues are planning to execute them." Zari, Spooner, and Gideon are horrified by the mention of this. They return to the Waverider to create a rescue plan. A 3D visual of Pembroke Castle is launched on the console.
Astra inferred, "Judging from the castle's design, we can enter the courtyard through one of the towers. Those can be our way in. There's a chance that the place is heavily guarded."
Gideon questioned, "50 against four is not a fair fight. Do you think we should call Sara and Ava for backup?"
"Yes, but we are not going to get a reply. Their comms are off until they return. So, Spooner and I will sneak in and get the guys, while you two operate from here."
"You are going to need the time courier. Although its use and that of the jumpship are prohibited by the captains' rules, this counts as an emergency." Astra secures an amount of throwing knives from the armory and vigilantly conceals them in a sheath under her clothes: a red long-sleeved turtleneck shirt and a black leather skirt. Spooner, who's still in her Las Vegas attire, loads her rifle gun with ammo and pockets a little extra in case. They return to the bridge, where Gideon and Zari wait for them. The latter gives them a fully charged time courier. "Let's go rescue some Legends." A portal to the castle opens; it closes behind them as they walked in.
