A total of 85 people all stand at the platform at the Pembroke Railway Station. Chief Inspector Banks made the call for the transport. He and Inspector Dalloway both agreed that everyone who was at Pembroke Castle must provide a statement. Seventeen individuals are seated inside five rail cars, each having four to five officers supervise and make certain the other parties don't try to flee. The tension among them stretches long as the train itself. Most of them are exhausted from the excitement that some of them fell asleep en route to Carmarthen. Others are internally drafting their own reports of what happened. As for the Legends, who are positioned in one cart, they are debating how Sara and Ava will react. They can already imagine them delivering a prolonged reprimand for putting themselves at risk. It's either that or they'll refuse to entrust them with the Waverider.
Once the train arrived in Carmarthen, everyone is escorted to the police headquarters. Lars, Owen, Thomas, and Oliver are placed in a holding cell. The 50 members have stripped their hoods at Banks' request. They are separated into groups of ten with five different and impartial officers questioning them. Some pleaded that they were not aware of Lars' plan, while others were more or less brazen. Afterward, they are all informed that they'll be sent home via car in the morning. Behrad, Gary, Alun, and Gwyn all testified as well as Astra, Gideon, Spooner, and Zari. They all refrain from telling the inspectors about their identities as time-travelers. Each of them disclosed that they are tourists on vacation. Angus recounts the time he was abducted at his store to his imprisonment at the castle. When the interrogation is finished, Banks proclaimed to the Legends that they were free to go. He assures them that Lars Vandrake and his henchmen won't harm them or anyone else again. Angus follows and catches up with his visiting acquaintances outside. He properly introduces himself to the female Legends. "I want to thank you personally for the rescue and for helping preserve the Great Map."
"You're welcome," Zari acknowledged with a smile.
"Saving others is in our line of work," Spooner declared.
Astra inquired, "What's the story behind that painting, by the way?"
"The Great Map is the largest painting of the United Kingdom," Gideon civilly enlightened. "It is also the largest map of Wales. While the original painter's identity is unknown, the restoration is contributed by an organization labeled CADW for its Heritage Tourism Project and funded by the European Regional Development Fund in association with the Carmarthenshire County Council." She holds her hands together as she imparted this.
Angus marvels at the grey-eyed woman's intellect. He hasn't met her before, yet she knows about the origins of a painting he has rarely seen. He whispered to Gary, "I can see how she captured your heart."
"Impressive, isn't it? That's only a part of it," he responded.
"If you don't mind me asking, Mr. Murdock," Gwyn interjected, "do you plan on staying for the night?" He squints his eyes at him; without his spectacles, everything is an absolute blur.
"I have no other choice, sir. The bus to Pembroke Dock does not come 'til daybreak." The Legends exchange an indicative expression among themselves. Angus notices this and raises a reddish eyebrow. "What? Why are you making that look?"
"We... um, we may know the quicker solution." Moments later, a portal opens to a harbor in Pembroke Dock. Astra, Gwyn, Spooner, and Gary tread across the threshold. Spooner acts as Gwyn's second pair of eyes with her hands on his shoulders. Spooner acts as Gwyn's second pair of eyes with her preceding him. Angus is hesitant at first; he stuck his hand through it and prods at the border. Once he is convinced that this is not a trick, he joins them on the others, though he is startled by its sudden disappearance. They walk past Angus' bait-and-tackle shop, which remains untouched by the kidnappers. He leads them to his neighborhood as they safeguard him. The sounds of waves can be heard from afar. The streetlights shine down on the asphalt pavement. They stop at a light blue two-story house with a white brick wall enclosing the backyard. On the front, two windows sit on each side of the olive green-painted door. Situated above each window are a couple more, one of which is open. Gary knocks on the door and they wait for a few minutes. They hear the chain coming off and the door unlocking. It is opened by a hazel-eyed preteen girl. Her wavy red hair is fastened in a ponytail and her bangs cover her forehead. Joining her are two younger boys with dirty blond hair and green hair. At first glance, they're bewildered by the motley group standing on the doorstep. "Who are you," one of the boys inquired, out of actual childlike curiosity. Angus comes from hiding behind the older visitors. The kids gasp delightfully as they identify their father.
"Kids," a female Welsh voice called. "I warned you many times not to answer to strangers." They move out for their mother, Eleanor, a six-month pregnant woman with dirty blond, shoulder-length hair, to see who is at the door. When her hazel eyes meet her husband's green eyes, she nearly breaks down in tears. He walks up to her and kisses her, cradling her face with his hands. Their children encircle them in a group hug.
The Legends watch the reunion with smiles, except Gwyn, who is still squint-eyed. "What's happening now," he questioned.
"Just your standard, sweet, tearful happy ending," Spooner replied.
Angus acknowledges them to their family. "I would be dead if it weren't for these kind folks."
His wife shifts her regard from him to his rescuers. "Thank you for bringing him home." The kids also express their gratitude, while their perspective about them changes favorably.
"You're welcome," Astra retorted, with her associates concurring. The Murdock family bid goodbye to the Legends and returned to their house. The foursome walks away once the door is closed. Just before they exit the neighborhood, Gary approaches Gwyn with a question. "Are you embarrassed by us?"
The scientist is genuinely baffled by this. "Where'd you get that idea from?"
"You... uh, you seem unsettled when Behrad and I were talking with Angus back at the castle. Also, I saw your face when I unveiled my real form to Alun. You seem certain he won't react well."
"My apologies, Mr. Green. I didn't intend to make you and Mr. Tarazi feel discouraging about yourselves. In truth, I was only hoping of delaying the culture shock for him."
Gary wriggles his hands as he articulates his feedback. "Do you remember when you first meet us?" Gwyn nods his head. "You were so unnerved at first, but you still took the time to get to know each of us. Don't you think Alun deserves that same chance?"
Gwyn allows this to sink in his head. He recalls how Alun admitted going through his plan for his interest. After he has enough rumination, he finally answered, "Yes, of course."
Astra and Spooner are walking a foot ahead of them. They could not help themselves from overhearing the men's conversation. As Spooner opens the portal to the Waverider, they all walk in the bridge together. Once the portal is closed, Astra exclaimed, "Gary, I need to talk with you for a second."
Spooner takes Gwyn by the arm. "Come on, Doc. Let's fabricate you some new specs." The empath and the scientist make their way to the fabrication room. Astra crosses her arms and faces Gary, who fidgets with a passenger seat. He inquired, "What do you... uh, want to talk about it?"
"Gideon's into you. No matter how strange it sounds, there's no secret about it."
"I feel the same way about her."
"Then, you should know that she fears losing you... real or illusion." Astra maintains her stance as she speaks further about her daughter figure with stern attentiveness. "If someone's making her feel apprehensive, I get irritable. Do you understand?"
He flinchingly nods under her scowl. "I know you hate me, Astra, but I care for Gideon. I love her and I'd never want to agitate her." She pulls back after he reveals this, though she refuses to disclose her shock to him.
"I don't hate you, Gary. I just find you annoying sometimes." Her sharp tone softens when she sighed, "If anything, you have your acceptable traits. I'm somewhat glad you're her boyfriend because of that."
He is moved by Astra's unenthusiastic approval. "You are?"
"Yeah, I am."
"While we're being honest, I find you intimidating."
"Good," she remarked, breaking her steely gaze with a smirk. Gary leaves with an uneased smile. Astra shakes her head and looks out the ship's viewport. She notices the lights are on inside the cottage and decides to investigate. Just as she prepares to head out, raindrops heavily start pouring down.
