The grass is coated in dew from last night's shower. The sunlight shines through the viewports on the Waverider and the cottage's windows. The Legends are awakened at their own pace. Gwyn is the first, followed by Alun. They cross paths with a dressed-down Spooner at the medical bay. The cut on her arm is patched up seamlessly. She had a body scan for any internal injuries. Although her blood pressure was elevated at the time, she received a clean bill of health. They go outside and enter the cottage for their belongings, where they find Behrad and Astra flirting in the kitchen. He has his arm around her midsection as he whispers something in her ear. She bursts out laughing as she throws her arms around his neck. While Spooner is glad to see her favorite dorky pair back on good terms, the two veterans are feeling like they're intruding. "Good morning, Mr. Tarazi. Miss Logue," Gwyn awkwardly greeted.

The couple notices their friends watching them. "Oh, hey," Behrad responded.

"How are you," Astra asked.

"I can safely say we had a good night's sleep," the older gentleman answered. "We trust you both rested well."

"We did. If anything, the rain gave us a reason to stay in," The Iranian-American giggled between his words. The young Black British woman has playfully glided her index finger down his spine.

Breaking away to search for food, she opens the freezer and spots the medium-sized white tub in front of her. "What is in that?" She places it on the counter. The men quickly recall the mystery content and try to dissuade her from opening it. She brushes their deterrents away and proceeds to remove the lid. Disgust engulfs her when she sees the wiggly invertebrates poking through the moist dirt. "Ugh, why do you have worms in the freezer?"

"Not just any worms, they're nightcrawlers," Alun clarified. "We were planning to go fishing today. I hope last night's events didn't change your minds." Behrad and Gwyn exchange a look before they said no.

The thought of fishing piques Spooner's interest. She inquired him, "Are you any good?"

"It has been so long. I wonder if I still got it." He observes that almost everyone is present. "Are Zari, Gary, and Gideon still sleeping?"

In the pocket dimension, Gary wakes up with a yawn. Gideon is still dormant next to him. Now lying on her back, her hands are by her side. She has not screamed once in her sleep nor has she shed a tear. Gary is content that the tea works well for her. He began to wonder if herbal tea can alleviate people from bad dreams. While he's getting out of the bed, he peeks back at the human AI. Her wavy, chestnut locks drape over her shoulders. The longer he gazes at her, the warmer his face gets. "She looks angelic when she's sleeping," he thought to himself. The mattress makes a creaking sound as he hops out of bed. Gary flinches, worrying about disturbing her. She didn't stir, which doesn't lessen his uncertainty either. "Gideon?" He hovers over her to check if she's alive. "Gideon?"

Gideon's eyes open upon hearing her name the second time. She quickly jerks forward, accidentally headbutting him. They both wince in pain and rub their own foreheads. "Good morning, Gary. That's a strange greeting I've ever given."

Gary kneels on the bed. "Hi, I was making sure you didn't die." He moves his hand from his head, revealing a big red mark.

"I'm still very much alive." She uncovers an exact bruise on her head. "Did you rest swimmingly after last night?"

"Yeah, I think so. You looked peaceful; did you have any more bad dreams about AI Gideon?"

"On the contrary, I slept with little trouble. It might be a temporary circumstance; I'm feeling optimistic nonetheless."

"I... uh, I mean what I said about telling me about your problems. I'm not going to judge you, Gideon, and I don't plan to." He tenderly holds her hands as he imparts this.

"I know." She said teasingly, "Allow me to show my appreciation."

Astra and Spooner return to the Waverider, leaving the men to pack up. They find a freshened-up Zari before they arrive at Gideon's quarters. They knocked before they enter. Once they don't see her, they were about to leave until Zari notices the key in the closet door. She opens it and walks in, followed by Astra and Spooner. Entering the pocket dimension, they hear rowdy laughter coming from upstairs. They follow the sound, reach to the bedroom, and unbolt the door. Going in, their bottom jaws drop instantly. Gideon and Gary are mutually tickling each other with her straddling on top of him. Their mirthful chortling halts when they see their comrades at the door. "Hello, guys," Gideon addressed. An equally spurred Gary waves at them.

After a period of awkward silence, Spooner suggested, "Gary, the guys are clearing out the cottage. Why don't you want to join them... after you changed your clothes?"

"Oh, right." Gideon climbs off her bespectacled squeeze, enabling him to leave. As he scrambled out, he coyly inquired, "Want to go another round later?"

"Definitely." Brazenly clutching his shirt collar, she pulls him in and kisses him on the mouth for a hot second. She lets him go; the couple shares big, goofy smiles. Gary finally leaves the bed and walks past their disbelieving colleagues. Once they hear the main door opening and closing, all eyes are on Gideon. "What?"

Zari joked, "I've wondered who's the 'top' between you two."

"Really," Astra moaned.

Spooner remarked, "Don't pretend like you weren't curious. You'd thought the same when we found out about them." Her towering bestie gives her a dirty look. "You did, though."

Wanting to change the subject, Astra declared, "Well, we're glad to see you in your cheery self, Gideon." Zari and Spooner agree, nodding.

"Admittedly, I had another nightmare, but I've slept and awakened better than I had before." She straightens out her nightgown and comes near her friends. "So, where do we leave?"

"When the guys are finished. In the meantime, you should get dressed." Zari notices Astra's attire to which she told her, "In fact, you're wearing that last night, and you and B were in the cottage." A thought pops in her head, making her incredulous. "Did you two done it?" Spooner and Gideon's eyes widen as they wait for Astra's answer.

She herself disapproves of the question. "Do you really think we would make that choice when he's focusing on his sobriety?" Behrad used to be a stoner. He had mostly consumed weed gummies and smoked pot. He has relinquished his habit shortly before he asked Astra out. Although he's always been chill and unflappable, keeping his mind clear is very crucial. His friends, especially her, have been there for him throughout his outgoing journey.

Her friends are abashed for unintentionally discomposing her. Zari was more humbled for divulging the very idea. "Of course not."

Astra's temper dwindles upon seeing the apologetic expressions on their faces. She sighed, "For your information, we slept in separate rooms. You're right about one thing. We need to get ready for departure." They all exit the pocket dimension; once they return to Gideon's quarters, the latter removes the key from the closet door. She showered and is dressed in her usual clothes. Astra heads to her room and changes into a sleeveless tee and a pair of skin-tight jeans. She has replaced the knives and the sheaths in the cargo bay.

It took an hour for the guys to collect their belongings. They all reconvene to the Waverider once the cottage appears vacant as it did when they first arrived. The Legends all took one last look at the countryside. With everyone aboard, Gideon soars the timeship out of there... only to fly back to take some pictures. Then, they take their leave out of the countryside for real.
