Chapter Six
Beaut's POV
Can you get premature wrinkles from smiling too much? In the last week, Dom and I have been having so much fun! More long car rides and heated make-out sessions in the driver's seat of his Barracuda.
The protection that comes with being his girlfriend is amazing too. He put the word out that I'm his girl so none of the douche-bags at my school will even look at me.
How this all instantly happened makes my head spin but I like it. It has been a whirlwind of emotions for real. If you told me before he got out that I'd be feeling like this about him I'd have laughed in your face.
When we sat my dad down to tell him all he did was laugh and say that uncle Richard always knew the firstborn Torreto and the only Graziano kid would end up together. Apparently, it's destiny.
Let's not even get started on when I told Letty and Mia the afternoon after we kissed. We were at the mall looking for cute outfits for Letty's Sweet Sixteen when Mia broke both of our eardrums...
" I can't believe you're dating my brother! If you two get married we'll be sisters! " Mia Squeals before wrapping her arms around me and jumping up and down.
Letty, who is just standing there slack-jawed finally breaks from her stupor. " Hell yeah! " She roars joining us in our weird hug.
We pull apart and she continues, " you're a legend chica, no racer chaser skank has anything on you! This is huge, you went and hooked the number one street racer in the county. "
" Well, at least I aimed high? " I ask laughing a little.
She nudges me with her elbow and says, " girl you broke through the damned ceiling! We are so getting into all the good parties this summer. "
" I need you two to calm down for five seconds for real. This just started let's see where it goes before calling me a legend okay? " I ask nicely trying to change the awkward subject.
It's not like I'm expecting to break up or anything... I just know Dom's reputation. He asked for a chance and I'm putting myself out there. We will see if anything comes of it. I am only sixteen, after all, it's not like I'm about to marry him tomorrow.
Oh well, no more pondering while staring up at the ceiling. Throwing the blankets off I get up and go to get ready for school. I almost make it to the bathroom when the closed-door opens and I'm pulled in.
" Good morning Beauty. " Said in gravely just woke tone is all I hear before Dom's lips are firmly kissing mine.
" Mmm. " I moan in surprise and excitement before wrapping my arms around his neck.
His bare chest presses against mine making my nipples harden almost painfully. Moaning into his mouth I feel my hips move in circles on their own. My panties are instantly soaked and this is a whole new sensation for me.
" Fuck. " Dom swears under his breath before letting me go and resting his forehead against mine.
" Sorry... I got a little carried away. " I tell him while catching my breath.
I feel and hear him chuckle. " No, I like it but your dad will be up any time. You should get ready and I'll have coffee ready when you get down. "
He leaves me to it still very turned on. These little stolen moments are my favorite part of all of this. He can really get my heart racing that's for sure. Oh well, time for a cold shower I guess.
" So I got snuck attacked by Dom in the bathroom. " I tell Letty s we wait for the second bell to ring.
I literally hear tires screech in my best friend's mind as she pulls me back. " And you're just now saying something?! "
" I didn't want to talk about it in front of Mia. She doesn't need to know what goes on with me and her brother. " I say tactfully.
She gives me a saucy look. " So you screwed him for breakfast, hot. "
" NO, no screwing happened. " I tell her quickly. " Just kissing and touching. "
She scowls. " Come on chica, you've been together for a few weeks. When are you going to take the plunge and go all the way with him? "
" Wow Let, you really are invested in my sex life. " I say looking through my bag for my chapstick.
All of the kissing I've been doing lately, I need to keep these babies soft.
" Someone has to be doing the nasty because it damn sure ain't me. " She complains as if she doesn't have her share of male attention.
Rolling my eyes I say, " oh come on, you know you're hot. Maybe you and Vince can give it a go if he ever gets out that is. "
" Eww, no, Vince is like my brother. " She says adamantly.
Laughing I say, " you never know, maybe he got buff in there like Dom did. "
" Yeah, no. " She maintains.
The bell rings and we both hug before heading to our separate classes. We'll finish this conversation later.
My dad called the house after school and asked me to bring him something to eat while he works. So I hopped in my car and headed to Fat Burger.
" Hey, Dad, what are you working on? " I ask as I walk into his office.
He does custom designs for Nascar... I know I know why didn't I mention it sooner right? He didn't get the job until a couple of years ago and has been working his way up ever since. They finally gave him his own shop just to paint their cars and freelance others. It's good money and he enjoys doing it.
" I got a call from Dale Earnhart. He wants me to do a paint job on his a gift for his jr's twenty-first birthday. " He says excitedly.
I nod, " I heard that he's going into Nascar so he can race with his old man. "
" Hey, he's the same age as me! " He cries in jest.
Laughing I get out an " oops. "
" Uh-huh, and what are you up to today? Studying for midterms I hope. " He says in his no-nonsense tone.
Sighing I say. " Yup. And after that, me and Letty are planning the menu for Thanksgiving. It's in two weeks you know? "
" I'm sure you two will cook a lovely meal. I assume her mom will be working as she does every year? " He says in that judgemental tone.
Dad doesn't like the fact that Letty's mom is never home. Sure she takes care of Letty and gives her everything... But he has strong feelings about parents not being there for their children and then making up for it with extravagant gifts.
Mrs. Ortiz isn't a rich woman by any means, but she does dress some of the bands on Sunset Strip. She is always working overtime this time of year so she can spoil Letty with gifts for Christmas. She is her only child after all.
" Yup. " I say popping the P.
He takes his glasses of and rubs his eyes. " You go on home and study, I'll be there in a few more hours. "
" Okay, dad. I'll see you at home. " I say ready to get this night of studying over.
Going back outside I get into my car and head home. When I pull into the driveway I see Dom's car parked on the street and my heart skips. Grabbing my bag I hurry into the house.
" Babe? " I call out before throwing my bag on the couch.
He shows himself moments later looking delicious.
" There you are. " He says coming up to give me a kiss.
This is heaven. Every second of his lips on mine is electric. He pulls back from the kiss and looks down at me dreamily. " Where have you been? "
Smiling I say, " I had to take dad lunch at work. "
" So that means... " He says grabbing my hips causing the warm feeling from this morning to return. " We're alone? "
He leaves a trail of hot kisses from my ear to my shoulder and I almost melt just as I hear Letty open the front door. Pushing him away slightly we both look at my best friend who looks highly surprised.
She winks at us before saying, " sorry chica, normally I would encourage this behavior but we need to study. "
" Study for what? " Dom asks.
I mimick a gun shot to my head. " Midterms. Once we're done with all the tests we get two weeks off for Christmas vacation. "
" It's not even Thanksgiving yet. " He says in surprise.
He looks so cute when he's confused. " We study for weeks to get good grades on the huge tests. That way if we don't do our best on regular tests, at least our GPA isn't affected. "
" Says the girl with the 4.0. " Letty says mockingly.
I roll my eyes. " Says the girl with the 3.2 with my help. "
" Yeah, yeah, let's get to it. " She says looking like she'd rather swim with sharks.
I get my books out of my bag and put on a pot of coffee. We usually study until eleven so I'm going to need caffeine. I hate midterms but if I want to get into the collages I want to I have to maintain my GPO.
" You need any help studying? " Dom asks from the doorway.
Goosebumps form all over my body at the rich tone of his voice. " I'd love it, but I think you'll be a little too distracting. "
He smirks and comes up to envelope me into his strong arms. " I missed you today. " He says grabbing onto my thighs and lifting me up.
" Just today? " I joke before wrapping my legs around his waist.
He laughs. " Yup. "
Rolling my eyes I kiss his lips once before he lets me down. " I'll let you study then. "
" Okay. We usually have pizza or Chinese on the nights we study... I'm going to order it in a little bit, will you pick it up? " I ask while filling my cup with coffee.
A new look comes to his face. " Hell yeah! I'm starving. " He says as he runs down the stairs. " Order it now I just have to get out of my work clothes. "
Now if I knew food was the way to his heart I'd have made a five course meal a long time ago. Oh well, so far so good.
