Chapter 812
That Is Changing
Cameron felt upset about a lot of things. Nobody helped her enough to make the future happen the way she wanted it to happen. Everyone knew what needed to be done but they didn't help her enough. Why didn't the others help her more? Everyone knew what the future held. Everyone knew that the future was unchangeable. They all knew about the 'Natural Order' and that it was unchangeable. She felt very confused now. She needed to get away from it all. There needed to be someplace she could go to escape from everything. She just wanted to be someplace different right now. It didn't matter where it was.
She left the others at the secure location and started driving. She felt she was on the verge of 'blanking out'. She knew Savannah could help her. Savannah could always help her. Savannah was the greatest….
Cameron headed back to get Savannah. At least Savannah always made her feel comfortable. There was never anything to be uneasy about or argue about. Savannah always offered a solution for every problem. Savannah was always nice and kind to her and treated her with respect and honor.
It seemed she was 'happy' most of the time she was around Savannah. It was a feeling of contentment and satisfaction. It was more than Savannah being her friend, which she was too. Savannah showed her love and gave her love and none of it was physical. It was all mental and emotional. It was real love. It was love of the purest kind.
Cameron's phone and her com both sounded an alert.
That was about the last thing she wanted to hear right now. It did bring her back to reality. She only now became aware of where she actually was at. She was a little surprised.
Cameron was almost to the Young Residence when she received the alert. The alert and danger it represented, broke the 'blanking out' spell. Someone was in trouble and they needed her help. That was her function, to help. It appeared that help would allow her to be what she truly was, a Terminator.
She was ready to go to any length necessary to protect those she cared for. She would defeat anything that stood in her way.
Cameron asked CamNet where Savannah was at. CamNet gave her the location of Savannah. She headed for the pool.
She was unsure about leaving Sheila alone with Savannah and Young Allison but that's what Young Allison asked her to do. She was sure it was because of the photos Sheila sent out of her private areas. She knew the things Young Allison looked at on the internet and that was one topic she spent a lot of time on.
Cameron steered and directed Savannah and Young Allison to be together since they were both girls. For Young Allison, it was really her entire known life. Now she needed to worry about Sheila taking 'cuts'. Young Allison was very curious and Sheila would be more than willing to satisfy her curiosities, whatever they were.
Now Cameron was glad that Savannah was there with them. She wouldn't allow that to happen.
Savannah would protect Young Allison, even from 'herself'.
Cameron understood Young Allison developed a case of 'hot pants'. She was clearly ready for 'more' at a much younger age than Savannah had been when she started. She wasn't really sure if that was her fault or not but it probably was. She'd encouraged Young Allison to pursue all of her fantasies and desires on the internet. Now she may have created a desire that couldn't be quelched.
She needed to suppress a glitch impulse as she thought about Young Allison. Her biggest fear now was Young Allison would end up pregnant at a much too early age. Maybe she needed to speed up her temporal mission into the past for her own protection or so that she could be 'properly' aged before she started on her part of the 'Natural Order'.
Cameron increased her speed as she headed for the pool.
Allison wanted to use herself as bait to draw out whatever was happening. Holly was there and would protect her. She needed to buy time for her mother and Summer to get away from the danger zone first. She didn't know how serious the situation was but she wanted to find out a little bit more. Holly asked her several times if she could terminate the clerk now. She told Holly that it was too soon and she needed to know more. If it was related to what she suspected, then the clerk definitely needed to be terminated.
Allison and Holly moved to a table in the front of the food court. It was out in the open where they could be easily viewed. She wanted to make sure the attention was focused on her and not her family.
Holly kept an eye on both the clerk and what was happening around her. She didn't know what all the details were yet but she knew enough to know there was a problem. As soon as Allison gave her the OK, she planned to terminate the clerk.
Allison's phone rang.
Earlier John received the warning in the Command Center. John Henry filled him in on what little they knew. He wanted to call Allison directly and find out exactly what was going on first hand.
"Allison, what's happening?" John asked.
Alison's gut told her it was someone from the future. As to what future they were from was a mystery. She didn't know if someone identified Hanna as some version of Vanna or her as any version of Allison or perhaps even Cameron. She knew that the clerk also paid attention to her mother and Holly specifically. Her mother died in her future and Cameron's future. Perhaps there was some future where she lived. Maybe it was the future of the present they were in now. There was no way to know. Maybe they knew some version of Holly from the future or whoever Holly was actually patterned after. Cameron searched before and was unable to find any version of Gail or Holly in the current timeline. She could only tell John what she suspected. She didn't have any proof.
"I think someone 'made' us." Allison said.
John understood the threat for what it represented and where it came from.
"Do you think it's a Gray or a Terminator?" John asked.
Allison hated to speculate but she wanted John to understand some of the possibilities.
"I believe that it's one of the two." Allison said. "It's just a feeling. It's a bad one too. They may think I'm Future Allison or Cameron."
John Henry informed John what Allison did to focus the attention on her.
"You sent everyone else away." John said. "You're alone with Holly."
Allison was worried about her family. She wasn't so much worried about herself.
"I wanted to make sure the others are safe." Allison said. "We both know that I can protect myself as well. If it comes down to that, there are going to be dead people and they're not going to be me. Holly will protect me."
John didn't think she should chance anything with so many unknowns and possibly someone from the future.
"You need to leave." John said. "Don't get yourself into a jam."
Allison didn't plan to go anywhere until she knew her family was away safe.
"I'm using myself as bait." Allison said.
John knew the information was sketchy at best. He wanted to know how far he should go to put the Resistance on alert.
"Do you think we need to go to a full alert or is this only a feeling?" John asked.
Allison had dealt with people that had 'problems' before. That included individuals from her future as well as from the present. The current encounter set off several red flags.
"It was something different than normal." Allison said. "Holly wants to terminate them right now. I don't want her to do it in a public place like this. She's only going to wait so long before she acts on her own to do what she feels she needs to do to protect me. I'll make sure that we leave before that happens if possible. If we're followed by anyone, I won't stop her."
John didn't want any public terminations if possible. If that was what was needed to protect the Young family, he wasn't going to stop it. John Henry would need to create the narrative as to what 'actually' happened if it became an issue.
"I trust your instincts, she does too." John said. "At the first conformation of your suspicions, Holly is cleared to act, preferably in a discrete manner."
Allison encountered individuals like this in her future. She's been assaulted by them. Her innocence was stolen from her with a knife to her throat. They'd also encountered other individuals like this when she went out with Cameron and the girls before. Cameron always took care of those problems herself.
"What if it's just some 'perv'?" Allison asked.
John knew that Allison didn't get flustered easily. There had to be something more to this current encounter.
"Maybe Cameron is right about 'one less Scavenger'." John said.
Allison couldn't agree with that statement more. What she'd experienced in her future would haunt her forever. What happened to Vanna and Jesse was intolerable. Cameron was right to want to thin the herd before Judgment Day. If the terminations saved one girl from being brutalized, it was worth it to terminate a thousand future Scavengers.
"John, you know she's right about most things." Allison said.
John didn't really want to get into that discussion right now. It was inevitable that it would lead to some reference to Savannah and Young Allison. He really didn't want to get into that discussion with Allison.
"I know she thinks she is." John said.
Allison was aware what she currently did was a risk. She wanted John to know something in case she didn't make it.
"If something happens to me…." Allison said. "John…."
John sucked in his breath and swallowed hard. He felt the same way.
"I know, Allison, I do too…." John said.
They didn't need to say it to know it. The feeling was always there from the first moment they'd laid eyes on each other. It was the 'love' that should have been, that never was. It almost was on more than one occasion. Allison wasn't the 'right Allison' but it didn't matter to either of them. The feelings were still there anyway.
Earlier:
Young Allison wanted to get her PT run in for the day.
Savannah needed to do that too. She didn't always seem to have enough time anymore to get all her exercise and practice in. It seemed she sacrificed a lot of sleep and meals to keep up with Cameron. All the action they were involved in recently didn't help anything either. It seemed the action was almost non stop every day or two.
Young Allison surged ahead of Savannah and Sheila at the last moment.
"I won." Young Allison said.
Sheila didn't think the restrictions that were placed on her by Young Allison we're exactly fair based on her natural ability as a Terminator.
"That was a fast run over here." Sheila said. "You limited me to your 'fastest normal speed' and then you ran faster."
Sheila felt 'played' by Young Allison. She liked the way Young Allison thought. She seldom played fair in her encounters with those involved in sex trafficking or the drug trade. To see young Allison change the rules to her benefit actually please her.
Young Allison smiled and then high fived Savannah.
"We need to put on our bathing suits." Young Allison said.
Sheila watched as Young Allison looked her directly in the eyes and then her eyes drifted down over her figure and back up to her eyes. The message was clear. She really didn't understand what Savannah was waiting for. Young Allison was clearly ready for more. She looked over and noticed that Savannah witnessed their brief eyeball encounter. She decided to continue with what they were about to do anyway.
"Lucky for me, Jesse left one here." Sheila said. "I don't mind at all but it's kind of skimpy. I might upset others. I'm not taking off my jewelry."
Savannah wasn't sure if that was actually Jesse's bathing suit or not. It looked more like something that Cameron would wear. She knew whatever it was that Young Allison was the one who selected it specifically for Sheila for that very reason.
"Let's face it. She picked it out for you." Savannah said. "Put it on."
Young Allison tried to look innocent but couldn't quite pull the look off.
The three girls stripped.
Young Allison always watched, without watching.
Savannah and Sheila both eyeballed each other as they changed. They were aware that Young Allison 'checked out' both of them. Neither one of them minded at all. It was hard to say who Young Allison stared at more when they were naked.
They headed towards the pool. Sheila led the trio.
Savannah held Young Allison back a ways. There were a few things she wanted to say and a few rules she wanted to lay down. She honestly believed that Young Allison was her personal responsibility.
"If you have any questions or want to talk about anything, you know I'll answer what you want to know and be truthful." Savannah said. "I'll always be honest with you. We can talk about anything or about our bodies. We can talk about what's on someone else's body. There is nothing wrong about being curious and we have nothing to hide from each other, ever."
Young Allison had been fascinated about body jewelry for quite some time. It was based on what she'd viewed first hand.
"I know." Young Allison said. "I looked on the internet before when I 'saw' Jesse. I know I'm not supposed to. I wanted to see more. I'm very intrigued about it."
Savannah was aware that was how she felt when she saw Isabel-Cameron naked with her nipple rings. That was when she knew the most beautiful thing on earth was the female body. After that day all of her internet searches and the images she viewed were of females. It was something that she'd never regretted.
"So you've seen nothing new?" Savannah asked.
Young Allison didn't believe it was an issue nor should it be.
"No." Young Allison said. "Jewelry is a form of expression that people choose to make themselves more attractive or distinct. It's a personal choice."
Savannah wanted to make the rules of common decency clear.
"The location of some of them isn't where everyone should see." Savannah said. "Some parts of the body are more private than others and should always remain that way."
Sheila walked ahead of them and suddenly stopped. She turned and faced Savannah and Young Allison.
"Something's wrong." Sheila said. "Our phones are going off with an alert."
The three girls ran back to the locker room to check their phones.
Young Allison was appalled at what she discovered.
"Allison is in a jam." Young Allison said.
Savannah knew they were at a disadvantage because they'd run there to the pool.
"We don't have wheels." Savannah said.
Young Allison didn't feel that should be an obstacle.
"Then we'll acquire some." Young Allison said. "It's time to try out my training."
Sheila wanted Young Allison to be a little more specific.
"What kind of training is that?" Sheila asked.
Cameron made Young Allison's training very clear as to what its purpose was.
"It's training to survive." Young Allison said.
The girls started to change back into their street clothes.
Sheila watched Young Allison eyeball her in detail again. She felt the need to say something about what happened with the photos.
"Allison, I apologize for what happened the other day." Sheila said.
Sheila was still topless as she faced Young Allison to apologize.
Young Allison took in the beauty and finesse of Sheila's figure and appearance. It was very stimulating to her to see. The idea of having a set of her own nipple rings was already firmly in her mind. Her body wasn't quite ready for them yet. She could see what Savannah saw in Young Jesse and Allison in Jesse. She paused before she put her top on as she faced Sheila.
"There is no need to apologize." Young Allison said "I could have turned my back to you just now. I didn't. You are who you are. I know and understand a lot more than everyone thinks I do."
Sheila was very impressed by Young Allison. She turned her attention to Savannah.
"I also want to thank you, Savannah, for standing up for me." Sheila said. "I know you needed to do it at least three times. I wouldn't be surprised to learn it was more."
Savannah didn't want to make a big deal about this. She only did what she believed was the right thing to do.
"You are who you are." Savannah said. "You will think twice next time. I didn't like what Cameron was going to make you do to yourself. I meant what I said too. I spoke with Cameron about it and told her again I wanted it done to me before it was done to you or anyone else."
Savannah wanted to say something to Sheila about some of her interrogation techniques. She didn't want to do it in front of Young Allison. Those were images Young Allison didn't need in her head or worse, to start searching for them on the internet. There were plenty of them there.
The girls dressed quickly and left the pool area. They headed into the parking lot. There were several vehicles parked there.
Young Allison looked around to see what the best vehicle would be to appropriate.
"Which car can we boost?" Young Allison asked.
Sheila noticed something special right away.
"How about we take that one there?" Sheila asked with a smile as she pointed at an SUV.
Young Allison was pleased to see who it was. She'd really wanted to apply her 'trade' to acquire a vehicle.
"That's Cameron." Young Allison said. "I wanted to boost a car. Maybe we can do it anyway for practice later on."
Sheila smiled at Young Allison. She could see that Young Allison was a real 'go-getter'.
"The day is still young." Sheila said. "I really like your attitude and the way you think."
Young Allison wanted to make sure that 'credit' went where it was due.
"Thank Cameron. I'm doing everything she's laid out for me." Young Allison said. "I'm also doing it all at a much faster pace than she'd calculated."
Savannah sometimes worried Young Allison was in the fast lane to 'everything'.
"That's very true." Savannah said. "It's almost like you have jumped from being a kid to an adult."
Young Allison still wanted her teenage years. She wanted everything that Savannah experienced. She planned to have it all too one day. Everything that Savannah did, she planned to do herself.
"It's all part of Cameron's planning." Young Allison said. "Cameron is disappointed that my physical development hasn't kept up with my mental and emotional development."
That was something Savannah didn't want to hear. She didn't want Cameron to start using any hormones on Young Allison. She needed to find out more about this.
"Did Cameron say that to you?" Savannah asked.
Young Allison believed it was expressed in so many words. She decided to give a simplified answer.
"Yes." Young Allison said. "I've disappointed Cameron."
Savannah reached over and touched Young Allison's cheek. That wasn't how she saw things at all. She didn't believe Young Allison disappointed anyone. Well, she wasn't so sure her mother would see it the same way.
"You haven't disappointed me." Savannah said. "You never will."
Young Allison smiled at Savannah.
Cameron drove up to them. They all hopped in the SUV.
Savannah looked at Cameron and spoke as soon as she was in the SUV.
"We need to let Allison off." Savannah said.
Young Allison quickly looked at Savannah. That wasn't what she wanted to hear.
"We need to help Allison." Young Allison said. "All of us."
Cameron was aware of what was headed towards them.
"Claire and Hanna are coming this way." Cameron said. "Anna and Summer are with them."
That was good enough for Savannah. She wanted to make herself clear to Young Allison.
"You will go with your mother, Allison." Savannah said.
Young Allison started to protest.
Savannah decided to spell out her reasoning to Young Allison.
"Allison, I'm asking you to do this for me." Savannah said. "If you come with us we'll lose either Sheila or Cameron to watch over you. That will endanger Allison even more."
Young Allison frowned. That wasn't what she wanted to hear.
"OK, Savannah." Young Allison said. "Just so you know, that is changing very soon."
Savannah looked at Cameron.
"I hope not." Savannah said. "I'm afraid it probably is."
Cameron noticed something in the distance that was headed towards them.
"I see them now, they're flashing their lights." Cameron said as she pulled in behind a strip mall.
Hanna pulled up behind Cameron seconds later. Savannah walked Young Allison to their car.
Savannah wanted to offer them some advice.
"Go by the other mall and change vehicles again." Savannah said.
Anna already made contingency plans.
"The Detail is on it." Anna said. "We'll have new wheels waiting."
Savannah looked at Young Allison
"Take care of your family." Savannah said.
Savannah turned to leave.
"Be careful, Savannah." Young Allison called out. "All of you need to be careful."
Savannah nodded before she turned away.
"I will." Savannah called back. "Now take care of your mother and Summer."
Allison and Holly still sat out in the open at the food court.
Allison wanted any attention focused on her, not her family.
Holly watched as the clerk became frustrated.
"The clerk can't use their phone." Holly said. "They've tried three times."
John Henry currently jammed it.
"Do you see anything around us that looks like trouble?" Allison asked.
Holly continuously scanned the area where they were at.
"Not yet." Holly said. "We can move from here if you want. John Henry told me Cameron is on her way."
Allison perked up right away with that news.
"How long will it be until she's here?" Allison asked.
Holly didn't think it would be long.
"She's picked up Savannah and Sheila." Holly said. "They should be here soon."
Allison felt a little more emboldened with that information.
"We'll wait and see what happens." Allison said. "This may be nothing."
Holly didn't want Allison to worry
"I'll protect you." Holly said.
Allison looked over at Holly and smiled.
"That I don't doubt." Allison said.
Holly was prepared to go 'full Terminator' if necessary to protect Allison.
John reviewed everything in the Command Center. He didn't like this newest development.
"What if this is the anti-Metal faction?" John asked. "Why would they be there near where the Young family is at?"
John Henry didn't believe Allison was necessarily the target herself.
"You have Allison, Young Allison, Ally, Cameron, Cammy and Cam all in and out of the area. Summer is going to look like a prettier version of Allison. The similarity to 'Cameron' is out there." John Henry said. "Cameron has clearly made herself the target of Skynet instead of you. This may be a repercussion of that."
John wanted to treat it like a worst case scenario.
"This may be more of a Skynet operation then." John said. "It would have more access to funds to search like this.
John Henry wasn't convinced of anything specific yet.
"This may be nothing more than someone with a 'problem'." John Henry said.
John wanted to laugh but didn't.
"Do any of us really think that?" John asked.
John Henry knew that he didn't.
"It's doubtful." John Henry said.
With You
With you
Or without you
Life goes on
Somehow we all make do
Does someone make you stronger
Or do they make you weaker
Two soon stop communicating
Even with a loudspeaker
An orderly and planned life
Quickly starts to crack and crumble
Life turns into a hurtful jumble
As we bumble, stumble, fumble and grumble
Where do we go
Which way do we turn
The world around us starts to burn
For yesterday once more we yearn
Away the future we threw
Because we forgot what we knew
One plus one always equals two
Even when life becomes a zoo
Who you have become
Makes me wonder if we are through
What am I going to do
With you
Nobody
