R&R longer note at the end

Asuka locked eyes on her two opponent's curious to see what would happen, she had fought the two of them before but nothing like this the two girl's looked the brunette up and down looking for an opening after a few moment's Murakumo charged spear raised as she began to thrust at Asuka, the girl deflected the obvious strikes with her daggers without much resistance.

"Switch!" came the voice of Yozakura, Asuka looked confused at the sudden command, before she could do anything Murakumo jumped to her left as Yozakura drove her gauntlet into Asuka's gut sending her sliding backwards as the air left her body. She gulped down air as she looked up blocking the next punch from the blue haired girl, she saw the smirk on her face as her punch collided with the brunette's daggers, so this was how their combo training had been Asuka smiled back as she threw the blue haired girl off.

Charging forward she crossed her daggers over her body ready to take Yozakura down, she suddenly changed direction as she saw the glint of steel out of the corner of her left eye, she looked as Murakumo's spear had appeared blocking her path this was going to prove more interesting than Asuka had thought a smile appeared at her lips as she looked, this was the training she needed.

Shiki watched on from the side lines as she checked the time limit for the match, within two minutes the combined attacks had begun, she had helped them train as they learned what it was like to fight together Shiki knew the hard path they would follow as she had walked it herself.

Her partner was much stronger than she was but together they had made it work, she looked towards Asuka seeing the gleeful smile on the brunette's face she knew she would be no match for the brunette but maybe these two could do what she had been unable to do.

Asuka panted a little as she stared at the two opponent's in front of her, she had been unable to mount the required offense she knew she would need getting cut off as she focused on one the other would be there to interfere, she knew what she had to do now as she noted the positions of both girls.

"This is over" Asuka declared as the two girls looked nodding as they readied themselves, this was a risk but one the brunette knew she would have to take locking her eyes on the brunette in the mask she charged forwards readying her attack, in her head she began to count as she reached ten she quickly changed direction as she charged at the blue haired girl who was caught off guard taking her down in one strike.

Murakumo looked on as Yozakura fell down, from the blow to the back of her neck by the more experienced brunette she hadn't noticed as Asuka had used her superior speed to get behind her as she drove the hilt of her blade into Murakumo's neck as she fell to the floor.

"Winner, Asuka!" Shiki announced as she ran forward, Asuka sheathed her blades as she went to Yozakura gently lifting her as she carried her to the camp laying her in a sleeping bag before going to help Shiki, between the two they managed to carry Murakumo to a sleeping bag before Shiki turned summoning her scythe hearing the cracking of a twig.

"For your safety I hope my team mates aren't dead" came a deadly calm voice from behind them, Shiki's smile beamed when she saw the owner as Asuka stood with her back to them a smirk played at her lips, the one she truly wanted to fight had finally shown herself.

"As if I would do something like that, what do you take me for?" Asuka asked as she turned locking eyes on the pale skinned girl behind her "Good to see you after so long. Yumi".

The pale girl stepped forward as she locked her light blue eyes with the brunette, her shoulder length dark grey hair fluttered in the light breeze of the clearing as she smiled, Shiki quickly ran forward hugging the new comer tightly with a smile on her face clearly excited to see her leader once again.

"They're fine sweetheart" Shiki said as Asuka's eyes flashed a little with surprise, as her eyes darted between the two her surprise only grew when she watched as Shiki leaned up kissing Yumi's cheek.

"Wait are you two?" Asuka asked still trying to process the scene before her, she watched as the two girl's slowly nodded "Wh-when did you two? Congratulations". The two smiled as Yumi walked over checking on the two girl's before she turned to Asuka hugging her long-time friend.

"It's good to see you again" she said as the two broke apart "What brings you here? Are the others with you?"

"Just me" Asuka said smiling as they sat down on chairs set up for the camp "I actually came to see you but since you weren't here I decided to train with them for a while". Yumi looked as Shiki smiled nodding, she looked back to Asuka she could almost feel the answer to her next question before it came.

"What business did you need with me?" Yumi asked already prepared for the answer, Asuka's cheerful look changed to one of determination if she was to reach the ascended form she knew there was only three people needed for the job, the same three names Kagura had whispered into her ear.

"You mentioned three others" Asuka said as Kagura turned to face her smiling "May I ask who they are?"

"Of course" she said leaning down as she whispered three names into the girl's ear "Yumi, Homura and Miyabi. If you faced off against them, I would imagine you could greatly increase the speed of your ascension".

"Lady Kagura told me" Asuka said as she stood up "Yumi, fight me. With your help I could reach my ascension". Yumi stood as she looked into her friend's eyes, the fire of determination burned brightly as she smiled nodding, as the two spoke Yozakura and Murakumo began to stir slowly pushing themselves up looking at the two leaders staring into each other's eyes a glow seemed to have formed around the two as the powerhouses continued to lock eyes.

The three girls knew better than anyone, a clash between these two was something no one wanted to miss.

Well that didn't go as planned for our lovely Gessen girls but they did take on Asuka who improves even during her fights, I will say this was also part of a test to myself since I plan to have some more two on one fights in later chapters I was trying to work out how best to do them, the later ones will be a bit longer than this one but hey the secret is out. The three names Kagura mentioned to Asuka are revealed as Yumi, Homura and Miyabi, as if there was any doubt but we begin with Yumi then who knows who will be next.
