R&R longer note at the end

The cool breeze blew through the tree's surrounding the girl's standing in the clearing, no one spoke as Yumi and Asuka continued to stare into each other's eyes both of the girls knew how important a battle would be for their training, Yumi smiled as she finally broke the silence between them.

"I shall accept your challenge Asuka" she said as the brunette smiled "However it will be a little different from when you trained with the others, we both know a match between us would be pointless if we didn't give our all, so no time limit, shinobi armour from the beginning, ninja arts and ultimate ninja arts, the only rule is we do not attempt to kill each other".

"This seems like a lot of fun I hope you don't mind us watching" came a voice as the wind picked up the girl's looked around as they reached for their weapons, as they looked around a ball of light seemed to land on the ground in front of them. Prepared to fight the girls went on guard as the light dissipated the form of a green haired girl appeared with a small black haired girl wearing a white shirt, as realisation set in the girl's in the clearing dropped to one knee bowing their heads.

"Up you get now" Kagura said as the girl's slowly stood up "I was in the area and thought I would check in on Yumi here but seems Asuka took my advice and it sounds like you're getting ready for a big fight, so me and Naraku thought we would hang out and watch".

"It would be an honour to have you witness our match" Yumi replied as she bowed respectfully "We shall have a seat prepared for you right away".

"No need for that" Kagura said as Yumi looked on a little taken aback "A match between you two needs a referee who can stop you if you go too far, so I'll be refereeing this match. Now then how about we prepare the best stage possible. Naraku".

"As you command" Naraku said holding her hand up as a bright light began to shine "Shinobi barrier". The light shot into the air as thin lines began to shoot from it wrapping the girls and clearing into the web like structure, the light of the sky turned a darker shade as the webbing finished forming cutting all sounds as they were cocooned in a safe area, below their feet a large white ring had appeared keeping Yumi and Asuka separated from the others in the cocoon. The girl's looked down as they jumped a little in surprise, gone was their school uniforms being replaced with their shinobi armour. Yumi pulled at her white kimono unsure if her eyes were playing tricks on her, the feel of the fabric between her fingers made her realise this was real.

"A battle like this would cause major damage and issues so a barrier has been erected where you may go all out without risk of hurting the surrounding area, your outfits have changed to your shinobi armour due to the power contained here" Naraku explained as the girl's looked around "Do not worry, no matter the power you use this barrier will not break". The girls nodded as they returned their attention to each other, the spectators looked on as Kagura approached the middle of the ring looking at Asuka and Yumi in turn, her gaze lingered on them for a few seconds before she smiled.

"Are we ready?" she said as they both nodded Asuka unsheathed her daggers as Yumi flipped her blue fans out readying herself for the match "Then begin!"

Asuka wasted little time as she charged at the pale skinned girl in front of her Yumi smiled as she followed her opponent's movements, they had clashed so many times the pair knew each other well enough that it felt they could read each other's minds. The two collided in the middle as Yumi blocked strike after strike with her fans, she smiled at the brunette who smiled back the pair hadn't enjoyed a training bout as fun as this in a long time.

The pair jumped back as Asuka smirked diving underground, Yumi looked around feeling the vibrations in the ground wondering where the brunette would pop up she turned as she jumped to her left as her opponent shot out of the ground sending rocks into a star shape. Yumi smirked as she coated her fans in ice waving them in the girl's direction as Asuka quickly swiped them away, the girls of Gessen watched on as the two leaders collided seeing the clash between two powerful shinobi made them realise the difference between them.

"If this is their version of a warm up I assume when they get serious it would be even more impressive" Naraku muttered as the girl's nodded, Kagura watched closely as she smiled she remembered the day she had met them all their skills and strength were nothing like this. Her eyes fell to the on looking crowd as she turned back to face the two battling girl's she could feel it, she wondered if Asuka had been able to notice yet as the two clashed.

Yumi was holding back.

So here we are, the beginning of the match between Yumi and Asuka. Yes it's a little short to begin with but this is merely their warm up, Kagura's involvement is simply she wanted to see how Yumi's ascension was coming along and what better way for her to truly check than to get the front row seat for this clash of power houses
