R & R longer note at the end

The grey haired girl's eyes slowly flickered open as she slowly sat up seeing her blonde lover and friends smiling, the green haired girl sat by the small campfire with black haired Kagura sitting in her lap the two looked over with a smile as Kagura stood walking over. The girl looked next to her at the sleeping brunette, her arms and legs were bandaged up as she looked shocked wondering just what had happened during the fight, her memory was hazy as she looked around at the concerned looks on her friend's faces.

"Are you up for a little stroll?" the black haired girl asked as Yumi slowly nodded getting to her feet as she stumbled a bit "Take your time, there's no rush". The grey haired girl waved her friends hands away as she steadied herself as she smiled nodding to the black haired girl who smiled offering her hand, gently taking it the girl walked with Kagura as she waved for Naraku to stay put.

Reaching a small clearing next to a stream the two stopped Kagura hopping onto a rock as she swung her legs, looking up to the moon she smiled she had always enjoyed looking at the moon at the shrine finding it rather calming, eventually she turned her eyes back to the grey haired girl almost knowing what the girl wanted to know the most.

"Asuka will be fine" Kagura said as Yumi let out a breath she hadn't realised she was holding "Do you remember what happened?"

"I remember that Asuka requested a battle with me" Yumi began as she racked her brain trying to remember "We engaged in combat both of us seemed to be on an even footing, Asuka was using different techniques to try and overpower me. Then I used my ascended form to turn the tide of battle because she wanted me to take her more seriously. That's all I can remember". The grey haired girl looked at the small girl still swinging her legs as she listened to Yumi intently, she took a moment before she hopped down walking to the other girl.

"You remember when I said that your ascended powers shouldn't be taken lightly?" Kagura asked as Yumi slowly nodded "I can tell you didn't take it lightly, the simple fact you held out for so long before using it was impressive. I can assume you learned of the two draw backs to that power?".

"I knew of one, I learned it the first time I had ever used that form" Yumi began as she sat down on the grassy verge looking to the moon lost in thought "After you had told us of the ascended forms I began to train on my own, I felt for me it was better to push my own body to grow before I had ever reached the power needed. After so long it happened, my shinobi scroll reacted to my power as the form took over, the form known as ice queen". Yumi fell silent for a moment as Kagura watched her waiting for the girl to finish her story, the wind gently rustled the leaves in the tree's as Yumi continued.

"The form can't last for long, the power boost is only temporary" Yumi said as she looked down locking eyes with the black haired girl "I have been able to maintain it for ten seconds so far but I feel I could make it last longer with more training, this was my first time using it against someone else".

"You really are impressive Yumi of Gessen" Kagura said with a smile "Most people struggle to last ten seconds however the time limit is just one of the complications with that form. The second is what happened to you, such an increase in power against an opponent of Asuka's skill level was enough to pull out the second draw back. It's called Berserk, you lose all control and will the power taking over completely, with training you can prevent it but it will take time. Had me and Naraku not been here to over-see your fight then I can assure you, Asuka and the others would have been killed by your berserk state". Yumi gasped as tears filled her eyes slowly rolling down her cheeks as Kagura turned to her, slowly she walked over as she held the girl's head against her letting her cry into her shirt.

I made the choice to reveal the draw backs of the ascended form but we all know Yumi is really smart so of course she knew some things of the ascended form, of course learning of what could have been would obviously upset her greatly. Well I guess we'll find out how Asuka feels about this loss, guess we'll all have to wait and see
