R & R longer note at the end

The honey blonde sat on the rock sighing as she rested her chin on her hand tapping her foot wondering why she hadn't stayed behind at camp with her two team mates, she looked at the solitary figure of her tanned leader stood with her eyes closed and arms folded over her chest, her light grey jacket fluttered in the low breeze showing her short black dress, over her arms she wore samurai armour while her long legs were covered with loose knee high white socks.

"How much longer are we going to wait Homura?" the girl asked her patients beginning to wear thin as she looked to her other companion, a green haired girl lay on the grass next to her seemingly asleep "She really can sleep anywhere".

"Perhaps you should do the same Haruka" Homura replied not opening her eyes "Perhaps you should head back, at least I wouldn't need to listen to your complaining any longer, remind me once more why you even came with me?"

"A chance to see two monsters fight is not one I'd willingly turn down" she responded with a smirk seeing an angry twitch at her leader's lips, she looked back towards the camp wondering if her voice would carry far enough to call Mirai to her so she could tease her for a while to pass the time.

"Haruka! Punish me!" came a loud voice as a blonde haired girl flew into the clearing Haruka stood up lifting her long leg as the blonde collided with her foot falling backwards with a satisfied look, the green haired girl yawned as she slowly sat up her face expressionless as two more walked into the clearing.

"Apologies for being late" Miyabi said as Homura slowly opened her eyes "One of us continued to take the most dangerous routes, myself and Imu had to consistently save her". Miyabi looked over to the blonde who squealed in delight laying on the grass floor as Haruka walked over her towards the two new comers, the light brown haired girl watched Haruka closely suspicious of her actions as the honey blonde reached up picking some leaves out of her hair.

"Thank you" she said as Haruka smiled before returning to the blonde laying on the floor "As Miyabi said if Ryōna here had just kept herself in check for longer than five minutes then we could have been here sooner".

"Are the other two not coming?" Hikage asked with a yawn as a squeal rang out looking to her left as she watched Haruka using some vines to tie the blonde up before her yellow eyes returned to the two girl's in front of her, Imu shook her head slowly as Miyabi turned her gaze to Homura who watched on feeling more annoyed with every passing moment.

"We didn't come here for a chat" she said through clenched teeth "Change already so we can get started". Miyabi nodded as Imu walked towards a rock sitting down ignoring the vine cocoon of her team mate, Hikage stepped away from the two girls as she sat on a nearby stump Haruka smiled as she sat down on the vine cocoon formally known as Ryōna.

"Shinobi transformation" Miyabi said as her shinobi outfit began to form, Homura grinned as she reached behind her unsheathing her six blades between her fingers, it was about time to have some fun in her attempts to reach her ascended form she would make short work of the white haired girl and move onto the other two.

Asuka travelled through the dense bamboo wood, her destination was none other than Hebijo clandestine girl's school, her objective was to challenge Miyabi to a fight in her attempts to reach ascension after that she would seek out her friend and long-time rival Homura. Eventually she reached the end of the forest staring up at the temple like structure, she looked down with a small smile seeing the figures of two girls, hopping down she slowly approached them with her hands on show.

"Good to see you Ryōbi, you to Murasaki" Asuka said stopping as a brunette with a sniper lowered her gun with a sigh, the purple haired girl next to her smiled as Asuka approached lowering her hands.

"We could have killed you" Ryōbi said slipping her weapon onto her shoulder "Well, what do you want?" Murasaki watched wondering if it would be safe to return to her room yet, the sniper next to her kept her eyes locked on the brunette from Hanzō never letting her guard down.

"I'm here to see Miyabi" she replied truthfully "Is she around? I was hoping she'd grant me a match".

"Y-you just missed her" the shy purple haired girl said as Asuka looked to her confused "She l-left with my sister and R-Ryōna, she went to fight with H-Homura". Asuka let out a small sigh, she had hoped for a one on one with them both but if they were already fighting then right now she was left with no choice.

"Thank you" Asuka replied as she turned ready to leave "It was nice seeing you both, next time let's spar". Without waiting for a reply the girl began to climb back up the cliff headed for the forest of bamboo once more, if this was the only option then so be it she'd just have to challenge them both, she was not going to be left behind again.

Miyabi smiled as she drew her katana looking to the girl in front of her, her yellow cat like eyes locked on the tanned girl's green eyes burning with intensity the onlookers knew better than anyone how these two got, they had deliberately chosen an out of the way area in the mountains so as not to cause trouble for the surrounding villages and towns.

"Try not to disappoint me" Miyabi said with a teasing smirk as Homura's lips curled into a manic grin her blades raised, since the day the two had met everything they did was a competition neither wanting to allow the other to get ahead of them without a second thought the tanned girl charged forwards her six blades colliding in a hail of sparks with her opponents single katana.

"That's my line" Homura responded as the two broke apart this time Miyabi charged forward, over the numerous times they had clashed she knew Homura would leave no openings so it was her number one priority to make one, over and over their blades clashed as sparks flew from them the only sounds to be heard where the sounds of metal on metal.

The group kept their eyes on the two monsters colliding, Haruka remembered her training sessions with Homura but none had ever reached this level of intensity something about Miyabi always seemed to bring out the beast within her, Homura jumped back with a manic expression Miyabi raised her katana preparing herself for whatever was to come next.

"Secret ninja art: Charge" Homura called out as she coated her six blades with flames, charging forward she swiped wildly toward the white haired girl as she tried to dodge and block as best she could feeling the heat from Homura's flames as she got closer.

"Secret ninja art: Delightful inferno" Miyabi responded as she smirked coating her own blade with black flames as she charged forward slashing as she went knocking the tanned girl's strikes to the side, both girls smiled enjoying themselves to the fullest, Homura crossed her six blades across her body as Miyabi drew her blade back, with one final slash Miyabi sheathed her sword as she looked down feeling a chill.

Homura looked over her shoulder as fabric fell to the floor as her coat was torn to shreds, Miyabi smirked as her cloak floated through the air as it disintegrated into ashes neither one looking like they were done as they turned once again to face each other. The on looking group sighed at the sight of the two in front of them, there truly was no stopping them when they got going Imu had always wondered how neither had killed the other given their past intense battles.

"Is that your best?" Homura taunted as she turned around her black school like dress still intact "Well it's pretty obvious I'll be the one who ascends first". Miyabi smirked as she gripped the handle of her katana a little tighter, training with her team mates was always a good way to pass the time but there was just something different about facing off with Homura, an intense heat she couldn't find from anyone else.

"My blade hasn't left my hands" Miyabi responded with her own taunt "Seems you're getting weaker than stronger I guess I'll take the top spot of ascending first".

"Actually, Yumi has you both beat on that score" came a voice causing everyone to turn, Homura and Miyabi's eyes locked onto the distinct form of their brunette rival as she entered the clearing. Her shinobi armour already equipped as she smiled at the two waring powerhouses, the other girl's looked at her confused how she had been able to get so close undetected Homura lowered her weapons as she locked eyes on her first rival.

"What do you mean?" Homura asked as Asuka sat on a nearby rock looking at the two in front of her, she had felt the intense power the moment she had reached the forest entrance making them both easier to find she looked from Homura to Miyabi as she let out a low sigh, this was the reason she had hoped to keep it one on one.

"Yumi already ascended?" Miyabi asked as her yellow eyes locked on the girl who slowly nodded "That can't be? She never even challenged us, you must be mistaken".

"I've made no mistake" Asuka said as she locked eyes with the leader of Hebijo's elite "Yumi has ascended, I should know. I made her fight me using it". Both girl's looked surprised as they released their armours, they could see in the girls eyes she was telling the truth Yumi had always been the silent one blending into the background but to reach a height they hadn't, she was truly formidable.

"I guess you two were training to get there just now?" Asuka asked as the two nodded the feeling of excitement for their battle had slowly began to dissipate from the brunette's revelation "Then I request you fight me you can take a break first though I want you both at your best. I'd be more than willing to run a gauntlet beforehand it would be a good chance for me to warm up. If you all wanted to that is?" Asuka's eyes drifted to the four other shinobi in attendance, the emotionless Hikage, the mad scientist Haruka, the current vine cocoon Ryōna, the ever serious Imu.

If ever there were four girl's fitting to be a warm up for a two on one fight with the monsters known as Homura and Miyabi it would be these four right here.

So turns out I had this chapter ready to go but didn't upload yet so here we are, good job I didn't after rereading it a little I made a few changes but the most part its as it was

So for this next battle on the road to Asuka's ascent she will now be facing off against two opponents rather than one, except our two powerhouses are a little tired so while they rest up lets have the other girls team up for a little while. Also I can almost feel it, the wheels are turning, will it be the obvious team ups of the renegades and Hebijo elite's or will it be something different?
