It didn't take long before the LaSalle house was filled with NOPD, FBI, SWAT and EMTs. When Chris called Pride to let him know that Caden had been kidnapped and his mother was attacked, it became all hands on deck. Even Isler showed up to lend a hand and help support the two young NCIS agents.

Chris was sitting with his mother as the EMTs worked on her. She was going to have to go to the hospital, that was certain. She had a couple cracked ribs and a minor concussion. Once she was stable for transport, Chris would be going with her to the hospital. Sonja just sat on the couch, craddling Caden's stuffed elephant in her hands. She had this zombie look on her face and didn't even notice someone had sat down next to her. Isler took her hands.

"We will find him Percy. You didn't give up you job with us just to come back to NOLA and lose your son."

"New Orleans, they don't call it NOLA here," Sonja murmured.

"You're right, New Orleans."

"What if we don't find him?" Sonja asked, finally addressing the elephant in the room and not the one in her hands.

"We will. Pride and the rest of your team are coming. They should be here soon," Isler said.

"Where's LaSalle?"

"He's in with his mother. EMTs are getting ready for transport to the hospital."

"Maybe I should go with him," Sonja said, staring off into space again.

Pride walked through the door with Gregorio and Sebastian at his heels. He nodded to Isler and headed for the spare bedroom. Gregorio went to Sonja.

"How's she doing?" Gregorio asked Isler.

"About as can be expected. I've just been sitting with her until you all arrived. I believe they are getting ready to take Agent LaSalle's mother to the hospital and Percy thinks she should go with."

"I should, I need to be there for LaSalle," Sonja said again, looking down at the stuffed elephant.

"You be with him, baby, we got this here," Gregorio said as she hugged Sonja.

"What if we don't find him?" Sonja asked again, this time looking at Gregorio.

"We will find him. Nothing will stop us from finding him and bringing him home to you guys. Pride won't stop and neither will we."

Sonja didn't say anything, just nodded as she saw the EMTs roll the stretcher out. Chris followed so she got up and took his hand. Then they went out together. An NOPD officer drove them behind the ambulance. Pride just came into the living room and looked at his team.

"Tell me things."

"I've spoken with some of the CSU techs. There's a ton of prints, it will take time to sort through everyone who's supposed to be here. But they have elimination prints from Chris, Percy, his mom, us," Sebastian said.

"What about forensics?"

"There's samples all over the place. It appears the attack on Mrs. LaSalle started here in the entryway and the perps followed her as she ran for the spare bedroom where Caden was sleeping. That's where the brunt of the attack happened and most of the blood. Once I get all the samples back to the lab, I'll be able to determine if any of it belongs to the suspects," Sebastian finished.

"Good. Go learn things."

Sebastian took off for the lab and Gregorio just looked at Pride and Isler. "What are the chances we find this baby alive?"

"I'm not giving up until we find Caden," Pride said as he walked out of the house. Isler and Gregorio just looked at each other.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Chris and Sonja sat in the waiting room, surrounded by NOPD officers as they awaited the news on both Chris's mom and their son. Each time the doors opened, they both looked up expecting to see someone coming in carrying their son.

A doctor came out. "Mr. LaSalle?"

"I'm Agent LaSalle," Chris said, standing up. Sonja stood beside him, holding his hand tightly.

"I'm Dr. Robbins. We've taken some X-rays of your mother and determined that she has indeed, cracked the eighth and ninth ribs. She also has a minor concussion as discussed on scene so we will be keeping her overnight for observation. I'll keep you posted on any other developments."

"Thank you, an NOPD officer will be stationed outside her room until I can take her home," Chris said.

"Of course, Agent LaSalle."

"Thank you," Chris said again as he turned to face Sonja. He just sighed as he wrapped his arms around her and held her close. Now that they knew Celia was going to be okay, all they needed was their son back to rectify this horrible nightmare.

"We will get him back City Mouse."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I am."

Pride came in with Isler and Gregorio so Chris went to tell them the news of his mother. Sonja felt a vibration in her pocket so she reached and pulled out her burner phone. Only one person would be calling her now.

Sonja slipped around the crowd and outside the doors of the emergency room. She clicked the green button.

"Dre?"

"Hello Andi or whatever the hell your name is."

"It's Sonja."

"At least Sonja fits you better than Andi."

"What the hell do you want Dre?"

"How is yo baby daddy's mama?"

"Still alive, no matter what you and your boys did."

"Damn, oh well. I still have my bargening chip."

"Where is my son?" Sonja said, starting to feel her blood boil.

"Safe for now."

"You hurt one hair on my son's head and I will personally kill you myself."

"Like you could."

"Then give me the chance."

"What do you mean?"

"Return my son and you get me instead. A fight to the end."

"You know I could just kill the baby."

"Do it and there won't be a safe place for you to hide in the entire world. You have messed with the wrong baby. My son is more protected than anything in the world and nothing will keep his family from looking for him. That not only includes me and his dad, but his NCIS family, his FBI family, his NOPD family, not to mention whatever private investigators money can buy."

"You think you're really all that don't ya? You ain't nothing Shorty. Look how easy it was to get ya boy?"

"Do we have a deal?" Sonja asked.

"Where am I supposed to drop this damn baby anyways?"

"Any fire station or hospital will take him. But if you hurt him, I will hurt you."
