"Hi!" Rachel said to Catherine when she saw her. She hugged Catherine gently. "Danny didn't tell me you and Steve were coming."

"He didn't know, Steve wanted to surprise him," Catherine replied with a smile. Rachel welcomed her much better than Danny did.

"That's great, Catherine. You have no idea how grumpy Danny is after Steve moved out."

Catherine smiled and asked the question Steve was anxious to ask. "Are you and Danny together again?"

"We are trying again for the second time. I'm not so optimistic Catherine, but we are trying," Rachel replied.

"It takes a little patience to deal with Danny, doesn't it?"

"A little? It takes a lot of patience," Rachel smiled as she said it. "And how are things with Steve?"

"We are very well, we are truly a family now. We are adopting my godson and he loves Steve. And we love Kevin too."

"Is that the little boy on Steve's lap along with Kai?" Rachel asked as she saw Steve talking with Danny and Junior.

"Yes. He likes Kai but he's insanely jealous of Steve. He won't leave Steve's lap as long as Kai is there," Catherine replied as she looked at the table with the cake and several candies.

Rachel smiled and offered Catherine a piece of candy. "Try it and let me know how good it is."

Catherine took the one that looked most appetizing and tasted it. "Delicious!"

"Thank you. I made it myself," Rachel said proud of herself.

Grace approached the candy table as well. "Mom wants to fatten us up, Aunt Catherine."

"I hear you're almost done with your second college. Tell me all about it," Catherine asked and Grace began to count.

Lou arrived with Renée, Adam and Kim arrived soon after and the party was complete. Renée joined Rachel, Catherine and Grace and Adam and Kim were talking to the rest of the team.

Steve was happy to be reunited with his friends and was able to talk better after Tani picked up Kai and Catherine picked up Kevin so the boy could get something to eat. "You're really hungry, right my darling?"

"Right my darling," Kevin replied to her.

"You're imitating me, aren't you?"

Steve walked over and hugged her. "I saw you talking to Rachel, did she say anything about her and Danny being back together?"

"She said they are trying again, but she doesn't have much hope that it will work out. She also said that Danny is very grumpy and he got that way after you left."

"No, I'm not to blame for Danny being unhappy. He is unhappy because he is too proud to admit that he likes Rachel and that he is never over her. He judges me for being with you again, you know?"

"I know, but I wish I didn't know. At least I wouldn't feel so embarrassed to be here," Catherine told him.

"Do you want to leave?" Steve asked.

"No, you're happy to be here. Have fun with your friends, I'll stay here and make sure Kevin doesn't stick his finger in the cake. He's already exploring the house," Catherine replied with a smile.

"Okay, I'm going to go talk to the guys some more." Steve kissed her softly and then rejoined the team.

Catherine was keeping an eye on Kevin but in two seconds of distraction she found him eating sweets behind the table. "Kevin!"

"I just had a candy mommy Cath."

Catherine wiped his mouth. "You can't eat candies before its time, honey."

Rachel smiled as she watched the scene. "It's okay Catherine. He and Kai are the only kids at the party. Charlie brags that he's already a teenager."

Three hours later they had eaten and drunk and were having fun playing cards. Catherine approached Steve and told him that she was going home with Kevin and that he could stay a little longer if he wanted. "Why Cath? Is something wrong?" He asked.

"No, it's just that Kevin is very tired. The time zone is complicated for us and for him it's much more so because it was his first time traveling."

When Steve looked over at Kevin, the boy was dozing sitting up and collapsed lying on the couch. "Wow! Poor Kevin. He really is tired." He got up and told everyone that he was already going home.

"It's still early," Danny said.

"We went home from the airport, dropped our bags off there and came here. I'm as tired as Kevin, but Steve can stay," Catherine said to the team.

"No, I'm going home with you two," Steve said to her.

"There will be no shortage of opportunities for us to be together," Tani said.

"That's right, Tani," Steve replied. He and Catherine said goodbye to everyone and then she took Kevin on her lap and they left.

"You could have stayed. I know you were having fun and were feeling happy to be around them," Catherine said as they got into the car.

"Yes, I was having fun and I was happy to be with my Ohana again, but you are my family, you are my love. "

Catherine smiled. "Aww, you're so cute, and that's why I love you so much."

The next day...

Steve woke up to Kevin calling out to him. Kevin was lying in bed between Steve and Catherine. "Daddy!"

Steve stretched, "Good morning, son."

"Can we feed the little fish?"

"The little fish here are different from the little fish in the lake, Kevin. They won't come close when you throw the feed."

"But will they eat the feed?" Kevin asked.

"Yes, but you won't see them eating the feed."

"No problem, Daddy. We just can't let the little fish go hungry."

"Okay, you're right son. After breakfast we will go out to buy the feed and later we will pick up Aunt Mary at the airport. I am sure you will love Aunt Mary."

"Is she nice?" Kevin asked.

"Yes, she is nice. Now let's wake Mom up so we can go out for breakfast?"

Kevin turned to Catherine and woke her up.

"Good morning loves of my life," Catherine said to Kevin and Steve.

"Mommy Cath, Daddy's taking us out for breakfast."

"Really? That's great Kevin."

"Good morning Cath. And then we're going to the supermarket, we have nothing in the fridge," Steve told her.

A few hours later...

"Steve, Get that face better!" Catherine said to Steve when he spotted Mary and Joan and her boyfriend.

"That guy is dating Joan and I don't like him!" Steve complained.

"You don't even know him," Catherine replied.

"That's a mere detail, Catherine."
