Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter but the personalities of these characters are mostly mine, I do not wish to make it seem that J.K. Rowling's wonderful style of writing has changed drastically.

Be My Girlfriend And Leaving

Harry watched incredulously as he saw Ron kneel before Hermione, ostensibly in slow motion. His brain could not and would not register what he was seeing. He simply stared uncomprehendingly and powerlessly at the pair who seemed as if an engagement was all they sought after.

He vaguely remembered seeing Hermione smile and tears begin to form in her eyes before he swiftly spun around and walked off to the Gryffindor quarters. As he was about ten steps away, he heard Hermione say a joyful, "Yes!"

He lay miserably on his bed and stared up blankly at the ceiling, which he had charmed to look like a picture of Hermione and him hugging, but to only his eyes. It had been slightly melodramatic just for a 'be my girlfriend' offer instead of a marriage proposal but at least he still had chances with Hermione.

However, he simply could not get the images of what Ron and Hermione; the new couple would do together, snogging, hugging, holding hands. He wanted to be the one who stood by her side always. Ron had finally got something he did not have besides parents and he should have been happy for him but not in this area.

In Harry's opinion, Ron could take all his money and just leave him enough for books and food, he could take his scar, he could take his wand, whatever. He would trade all of it for just one thing, or rather one person. Hermione.

He wanted her badly. He did not cry. He did not move. He just lay there. An empty shell compared to what he had been, a lively teen, full of hopes and dreams.

Harry stood up and walked to the Great Hall for Lunch, only to find that Hermione and Ron were still in front of the entrance, except that they were kissing deeply and moaning into each other's lips. He stopped dead in his tracks and drew in breath before closing his eyes. He turned around and walked back. He was not hungry anymore.

If Harry were to record down how many times Ron and Hermione were together, it would look something like:

Time spent together: Every millisecond except when teachers separate them.

Time spent looking lovingly at each other: Every second

Times kissing: Whenever possible

Times holding hands: Whenever possible

They were with each other about every other minute or so. Harry could not stand it and it drove him crazy. In class, he sat between him and Hermione and was caught in the middle of their lustful stares. Once, Ron even elbowed him and told him to move over. Harry happily did so after grimacing at the sharp shooting pain in his ribs, unfortunately resulting in a detention and fifty points from Gryffindor after being caught by Professor McGonagall.

He would sometimes walk out of his dormitory, only to see Hermione kissing Ron on his bed or something.

After bearing with a week of Hermione and Ron together, Harry could not stand it any longer, yet his eyes still remained clear of tears. He was not going to cry. He was going to leave Hogwarts.
