This was written for my enjoyment. If you like it – cool, if you don't – cool. It is making fun of crossovers that 'Oh, it just happened' based fictions. It also has some of my favorite guys – could've thought of a place for Kadaj and Vincent? Possibly but that would require more effort than this fiction warrants.

MOCKERY

At any given time in the world someone is playing a game. Most are new but some are old. In one particular town, several people are playing a range of Final Fantasy games. At a critical moment in each game, hero's are ready to fight, there is a power surge and in a field near by pixels start to form.

Cloud – Buster sword poised

Squall – gunblade cocked

Tidus – Brotherhood in action

Shuin – reaching forward

Each momentarily paused,

"Who the hell are you?" asked Tidus.

"Could ask the same of you?" said Cloud.

"I'm Tidus from Final Fantasy X," informed Tidus.

"Cloud from XII."

"Squall from VIII."

"Shuin from X2."

"X2?" asked Cloud. "Are you two brothers?"

"No," they both say at the same time.

"Look the same," said Squall, gunblade resting on his shoulder.

"It caused some confusion in the beginning," said Tidus, then remembered something, "VII?"

"Yeah," said Cloud slowly.

Tidus stifled a laugh,

"Nothing," he said.

"It was good at the time," shot back Cloud.

"Yes, yes, of course," waved away Tidus.

"But mine did have voiceovers in the FMVs," he added.

"Well, mine remains the most popular still," said Cloud.

"Mines a sequel," informed Shuin.

The three of them turned to Squall, he looked back,

"Whatever," he said.

And just because (read title) – Reno appears,

"What are you worrying about," he jeered, "I'm going to have the best game yet."

"You're game can only be played on a phone," pointed out Cloud.

"Yes," said Reno smugly, "then we shall see true fans."

"You knows this person?" asked Tidus.

Cloud reluctantly nods.

"Well, I have a sequel to my game." repeated Tidus.

Reno shrugged,

"I have a prequel and a movie sequel."

"Besides there are more VII titles than X titles," added Cloud – momentary alliance with Reno.

"They had to flesh out your story somehow," said Tidus.

"And complete yours," muttered Cloud.

"You can't take all the credit for X2," said Shuin, he pointed his thumb toward himself, "it's my imagery that they used."

"Yeah, but everyone thought you were me," pointed out Tidus.

"Has anyone thought as to why we are here?" asked Cloud suddenly. "I was in the middle of something."

"Weren't we all?" asked Squall.

"It speaks," said Reno with a grin.

Squall made a face that promised hurt.

"All jokes aside, he does have a point," said Reno, pointing a finger at Cloud.

"The last thing I remember was," Tidus paused, "I was fighting Sin."

"Sin?" enquired Cloud.

"Major boss," explained Tidus. "Your boss?"

"Sephiroth."

"Ultimecia."

"I wasn't fighting anyone," said Reno, hands in his pockets.

"Was someone fighting with you?" asked Cloud.

Before Reno could answer, Shuin said,

"I wasn't fighting with anyone either."

Tidus looked thoughtful before suddenly clicking his fingers,

"You're an NPC!" he exclaimed.

"So?" asked Shuin.

"NPCs can't be in boss battles," explained Tidus.

"That's ridiculous," objected Shuin.

"So is this story," said Squall.

And because it's is a night of power surges, there is another one and they go back to their game. Even if it isn't out yet.
