The wind blew quietly on a cliffside by the ocean. The sunset was coming, painting the sky a vibrant orange.
This sight would have been beautiful...if it weren't for the dire situation at hand; the universe was going to be undone.
With a series of footsteps coming, a group would appear at this cliffside. A group consisting of heroes, and even villains, all from different worlds, were ready to stop the opposing threat.
And with this, one figure, a blue humanoid robot, stood a stand at the edge. Mega Man X, One of the best Maverick Hunters, gave a command to the group.
"Make sure to take out all of the hands!"
Now one may wonder what he meant by that. But for the assembled group, it meant to face the army in front of them.
The giant army of Master Hands. But that wasn't the threat they were attempting to prevent.
It was the one behind it all...Galeem.The one who planned to decimate the whole universe to recreate it in his own image.
Lyn, a powerful swordfighter, slowly put a hand on the hilt of her sword. "There are about 740 of them...they may have numbers, but we cannot back down."
Isaac steps forward, the young Adept focusing on the amount of hands in the sky. "This is our last stand. We have to make it count."One of the members, Starly, made her voice her. "Alright, already! Let's kick this guy's butt already!"
But what happened next was not what they expected. The Hands began to...fade into energy. Energy Galeem began to absorb.
Everyone remained on edge.
Then a massive wave of light beams surged out, all positioned to kill.
The beams rushed towards the cliffside. Isaac quickly casted Granite to boost up everyone's durability, then casted Move to keep the beams at bay.
But it was too much. The beams Galeem shot were too strong, and Move's hand disappeared...and Isaac was struck, and disintegrated.
The sight shock, or horrified the group, as now the stakes known to be high...
Saki Amamiya growled at the sight, charging in and jumping over one of the beams and firing back. His attempts bore no results...he was struck too.
The beams came close to Eggman, who quickly set up shields around his mech. He grinned, believing he had outsmarted the god.
His grin faded when the shields cracked, before outright breaking and taking him out.Rayman, who was making a run it, paused when he heard someone fall over. Turning around, he saw Starfy, having tripped while trying to flee.
"Hold on kid, I gotcha!" He stretched one of his hands to grab him...but he was too late. The Prince of Pufftop was a victim of the beams, and soon so was he.
Alucard leaped up over the beams, and turned into mist, bypassing a beam as well but once he stopped being mist, he was tagged.
X and Zero didn't falter and simply chargup their attacks, before firing an onslaught of attacks. But it didn't matter, as the beams easily overpowered their attack...and eventually them.
The Black Knight watched his comrades fall, before he saw a beam rush towards him. Gripping the hilt of Alondite tightly, he awaited the attack to get close.
And when it did, he outright DEFLECTED the attack. Another one came, and he swung again to cleave the beam in two.
But ultimately it was all for naught. One beam went behind him, finally hitting him and reducing him to nothing but ash.
Raymond loaded his pistol, hiding behind a rock as the beams rushed down. He took a deep breath, waiting for the beams to subside. Sadly that never came...as a beam came to his hiding place and struck him, and he met the same fate as the rest.
It was a slaughter. Everyone being taken out second by second.
Except one was doing better than the others...a waddle dee. To be specific, Bandana Waddle Dee.
Unlike the others, the beams were easy for him to avoid, but ultimately he was struggling the more time passed.
"C'mon, where is it...where is it...?" The small creature was frantically looking for something; something he used to arrive here...
The Warp Star. Eventually spotting it, Dee quickly jumped on, it immediately flying up.
Sadly, it wasn't a clean escape the beams began to home in. Worried, Waddle Dee began to weave frantically.
"Come on..."
They got closer.
"Please warp, please warp, please warp--"
And he disappeared, warped to safety.
But it didn't stop. The beams went futher than the heroes. The beams covered the world they were in...and eventually expanded into a wave.
Multiple worlds were devoured by the light wave. The inhabitants could only have time to see the wave come before their lives were cut short.
And soon the whole universe was engulfed.
Emptiness.
That was what Galeem's onslaught left of the universe. Not a world was spared. Not a life left.
Then suddenly, a world came to be. Created by Galeem, this was the only world left. The world he alone viewed as perfect.
The only thing inhabited this world? The souls of those slain by the Lord of Light. Confused and lost. Scared and filled with horror.
Amongst this, none noticed the light shining above. It started coming done, threatening to come closer...
"...AAAAAAAAAAAA--"
When it landed, it became clear; it was a Warp Star, and Bandana Dee had landed. He survived the beams!
The landing wasn't exactly clean, as he crashed against the floor and slid across the rocky cliff. "...Owwwwww..."
Getting up with a disorientated expression, he shook it off and began to look about, now worried.
"Hey! Anybody?!" He began to run about, trying to look for any traces of a nearby person. It all seemed to be empty...
Until he reached the edge of the cliff. Hr saw it all; various sight and locations that could easily keep one mesmerized.
And Dee WOULD have been, if he didn't notice one little thing...or rather, a big thing.
Galeem was in the far distance.
It dawned onto him that...Galeem WON.
"Oh no..."
