Chapter 908

Every Girl Needs A Few Secrets

The jet thundered down the runway and lifted off. It streaked into the morning sky. It carried the male Resistance team members. They were about to leave Las Vegas behind.

John tried to replay the whole operation in his head again from start to finish. The thoughts that seemed to flood his mind the most were the thoughts of Savannah. He really would have liked for her 'first experience' to be in the Honeymoon Suite on the heart shaped bed. That would have been really special for her. It at least would have been more special than in the cab of a truck on a dark overlook like his was with Future Riley. Now he was on a flight home to a safer environment and the girls were all still in the thick of it.

It was clear that somehow Cameron found out about what almost happened with Cammy and him. The only one there was John Henry. He strongly doubted John Henry sold him out. Maybe he was coerced into doing it. He strongly doubted Cammy confessed to what she'd nearly done. He would like to know one way or the other going forward.

"Cameron found out about what almost happened with Cammy and me." John said.

John Henry heard Cameron's earlier transmission to John. He wondered at what point John would point the finger at him. It appeared that time was now. He would only be able to tell John what he did or didn't do. Everything else was speculation.

"I didn't tell her and she hasn't asked me." John Henry said. "It may have been CamNet. I don't know that either. You do know that CamNet monitors everything about everybody everywhere."

John knew that Cameron could be very secretive and manipulative. She might also throw a few ideas out there and see what stuck.

"Cameron could be guessing." John said.

John Henry thought maybe there was a stronger possibility based upon motivation and revenge.

"Cammy may have told her." John Henry said.

John would've thought that Cammy would want to keep what she'd done or in this case not actually done under wraps.

"Would she do that?" John asked.

John Henry thought that Cammy wanted to 'punish' Cameron. He knew of their long standing feud and the fact that they'd even fought over Savannah before. He was aware that recently Cameron sent Cammy on a temporal mission to punish her and keep her away from Savannah for the time when she was on that temple mission. He thought that it was a very low blow. It seemed logical that Cammy would want to do something to 'hurt' Cameron back, even if she didn't actually complete the task. She could still tell Cameron that she did or at least make Cameron believe that she had. He was aware revenge and jealousy were two very strong human emotions. It seemed that the Metal girls weren't that much further behind humans at this point in that regard, especially Cameron and by extension her clones.

"Cammy might have if she thought Savannah and Cameron 'shared'. I'd have to think a certain amount of 'payback' was involved" John Henry said. "I think it's best not to dwell on it and move on."

John was sure that Cameron would dwell on it. That's what she seemed to do with everything anyway. She never let anything go and always brought it back up at a time of her choosing. By the very nature of her construction she could remember everything and whatever happened to her and replay it at any time as if it just happened again. That seemed to be what she most often did. Every time she did that, the event that she relived hurt just as much as the first time because for all practical purposes when she replayed the file, it was the first time again for that event.

He looked down at the landscape as it became further and further away from the jet. In reality it was the jet that climbed away from the landscape. He would like to do some aerial reconnaissance for Cameron if they could in the jet. It seemed like it would be easy enough with skilled Terminator pilots on board.

"Should we overfly Cameron?" John asked. "I'm worried about her and Savannah."

John Henry knew a bad idea when he heard one. He didn't want to bring John back into the danger zone. As far as they knew, the enemy could have a Stinger. If it was a group of Grays, they might mistake the sound of the jet for an incoming drone and take a shot at it.

"I don't think so." John Henry said. "Bob and Jim have already filed a flight plan. We should stick to it. CamNet already has our arrival at Van Nuys timed to it. This won't be a sightseeing tour as our flight to Las Vegas was."

John looked out the window of the jet in the direction Cameron had been headed earlier. He was still worried about her.

"It was just a thought." John said.

John had been worried about the delay they experienced on their flight to Las Vegas. In retrospect, the tour of the Grand Canyon and some of the National Parks in Utah was a nice break. Some of those were most likely places that he would never get to. Maybe he would one day.

John Henry's main goal was to get John back to the Resistance base. They were on a nearly straight line flight back to Van Nuys.

"We'll be at Van Nuys airport in forty three minutes." John Henry said. "We have a cleared path and will be in the landing pattern for One Six Right before any other aircraft."

John trusted that Cameron's team would prevail. There could still be damage to some of them. He was aware that once he was away from the area that Cameron would most likely act and go on the offensive.

"The operation with Cameron will be over before we even get to the California border." John said.

John Henry was sure it would turn up at least a new lead or two.

"I think so." John Henry said. "These people should lead her elsewhere, if she can question them."

John believed that the biggest threat to Cameron's team would be the male Terminator that they haven't located yet. The Syndicate run hotel and casino was definitely going to need to be looked into further.

"There's still 'The Enforcer' to track down and the casino to deal with." John said. "I hope Cameron doesn't go after the Syndicate."

John was pretty sure that since the 'Metal Bitch' came to attack them that Cameron would return the 'favor'.

"She's dealt with different 'Families' before." John Henry said. "She won and they lost. She will turn them against each other. She will then come back and clean out the 'winner'. It's what she does with gangs and drug operations already."

The Grays mixed in with the Syndicate was bad news no matter how it was cut.

John thought about Savannah a lot now. It began to trouble him. The more he tried not to think about it, the more he seemed to think about it.

"I really wish Savannah could've come back with us." John said. "She doesn't need to be subjected to continual violence and danger."

John Henry wasn't sure where this was going. It seemed they'd already discussed this. He was painfully aware John wanted to use Savannah for his sexual pleasure.

"I think you'll see a lot of her." John Henry said.

John understood John Henry's reference. That wasn't his main concern currently.

"I'm worried about her safety." John said. "Her safety and well being comes before anything else to me."

John Henry wanted to remind John that every Terminator and Resistance member felt exactly the same way about him. That was why he received all the protection that seemed to irritate him.

"We're ALL worried about your safety and well being." John Henry said.

John thought about all the male Terminators on the flight with him back to Van Nuys.

"You're point is taken." John said.

John really wondered how much differently things would have gone down if he hadn't gone to Las Vegas. There most likely wouldn't have been the attack on the hotel he was staying in and the Grays may not have detected them at all. What the Metal girls did would have been a simple robbery. That event was conducted outside the scope of the Resistance operations. It amounted to one of Cameron's 'off the books' adventures.

Then again, Cameron and Savannah would have consummated their love and they may have decided that they didn't need him. That was a thought that always plagued him. What if Cameron found Savannah's love stronger and more appealing? It may even be more satisfying too. It made him wonder if he shouldn't have tried a few 'things'. He done them more than a few times anyway. He didn't need to remind himself that Savannah never gave up on Cameron ever. Even when everyone else wrote her off, including him, Savannah never did. He was sure that was an indication that Savannah's love was stronger than his.

Gail drove the SUV away from the Las Vegas airport. She wanted to back up Cameron's team and get more help there for Savannah.

Ally wanted to get there as soon as possible.

"Hurry up." Ally said.

Gail needed to watch her speed in the city. She didn't want to get into an accident or even worse, have the police come after them.

"I'm already breaking the speed limit." Gail said.

Sheila could see that they operated within the safety parameters that CamNet could provide for them.

"At least we're getting all green lights." Sheila said. "That's thanks to CamNet or John Henry's server. I'm going to ask for that everywhere I drive from now on."

Ally thought that that was a really bad idea. She didn't think that was a prudent use of resources.

"Oh, brother…." Ally said. "I bet you won't."

Sheila pointed it up at the traffic signals as they passed them.

"I bet I will." Sheila said. "Everything is green for us."

Gail was aware that luxury would only last so long.

"That's only until we get out of the city anyway." Gail said.

Ally was sure Cameron would go on the offensive as soon as John was out of the target zone.

"Cameron isn't going to wait for us." Ally said. "It will probably be over before we even get close."

Sheila looked a little disappointed.

"I wanted to 'question' one of them." Sheila said.

Gail didn't think Savannah needed to see or hear that.

"Are you going to do 'that' in front of Savannah?" Gail asked.

Sheila absentmindedly touched her knife.

"No." Sheila said. "I won't unless she authorizes it."

Ally looked ahead of their SUV and how far they needed to go.

"Just hurry…." Ally said.

The Metal girls were all anxious to get into the fight. They all wanted to make sure that Savannah was protected. They also wanted to get their hands on whoever followed them. They still didn't know which group they represented.

Cameron led the sedan tailing them to a more remote and isolated road. They were away from the city now. She slowed down to draw them in closer. She hoped to provoke some type of an aggressive reaction. Things didn't seem to play out the way that she'd expected them to. They seemed content to just follow her. She was sure there was a more sinister motive behind that.

"I've slowed down and so have they." Cameron said. "I don't think these are Grays. I don't think they know who we are or what we are, at least some of us anyway."

Savannah knew that any group they needed to encounter would be dangerous.

"Do you think it's the Syndicate or the Fanatics?" Savannah asked.

Cameron believed they could rule out what would have been the biggest threat to them.

"It's not a Terminator." Cameron said. "So that's a plus."

Cammy felt they were in a remote enough location to act. She didn't see the need for any further delays.

"So let's take them down." Cammy said. "What's there to wait for at this point?"

Cameron believed there was a good ambush point ahead.

"There are a few curves ahead. I'm looking at a file I have of a satellite photo of the area." Cameron said. "I think they've called for reinforcements. I don't want to wait until they get here."

Savannah would like to have a comprehensive view of everything that happened around them.

"What's John Henry's server telling you about communications or anything else in the air around us?" Savannah asked. "You said we have drone support. John Henry's server or CamNet should be able to tell us what's happening around us."

Cameron's biggest fear would be HK drones. With their drones in the sky around them they were able to scan for any threat like that even if the HK drones hugged the ground.

"The sky is clear. There are a series of curves ahead." Cameron said. "We will take them there."

Cameron explained her plan. She wanted to let Cammy out to set up an ambush. She would stage the SUV to look like it lost control and crashed. The car tailing them should slow or stop to investigate. Cammy and her would jump them or gun them down.

Savannah understood Cameron's plan but felt it involved a lot of luck and supposition as to what the enemy would do.

"That sounds risky with only three of us." Savannah said.

Cameron used the accident ploy previously.

"I've used this technique before." Cameron said. "I sent a car off of a cliff."

Savannah wasn't so sure about that incident and the aftermath that followed.

"I read that report." Savannah said. "It wasn't quite like you planned."

Cameron understood Savannah's concern. She recalled the incident. She sent the car off the cliff but the Terminator was able to exit before the car completed its plunge into the rocks and surf below. John was put in danger. Al ended the threat with a speeding bobtail truck as he ran the Terminator down.

"It all worked out in the end." Cameron said.

Savannah was worried about Cameron and Cammy since she knew they would take all the risks.

"Cammy and you will be in danger." Savannah said.

Cameron figured she could always wait alongside the road and step out in front of the target vehicle. They could either choose to run her down or stop short of her. She would be ready for either event

"I can do it by myself." Cameron said.

Savannah wanted less risk for Cameron and Cammy. Not for Cameron to take a bigger risk herself.

Savannah wasn't convinced that the other vehicle wanted to attack them. It could have done that long ago if they wanted to. They chose to remain behind them and follow them. She still thought that there were several choices available to them.

"What happens if we turn around and either see where they go if they run or 'light them up' as we pass them?" Savannah asked. "We have drone support. They may not be looking for a fight."

Cameron saw it all differently. She was sure that the target vehicle was somehow able to contact whoever sent them and ask for additional help.

"I think they're waiting for reinforcement and then they will want a fight." Cameron said. "Once they think they have the advantage they will act. I'll try your plan first."

Cameron went over the plan with Cammy. It was time to act. She'd decided to use the one plan that Savannah suggested about going on the offensive. It would be to see what happened if they went 'head on' with the other vehicle.

Cammy moved over and opened the side window in the back seat on the driver's side. Cameron did the same with her driver's side window.

"Savannah, I want you to stay down when we do the 'drive by'." Cameron said. "If they don't run, I'm going to disable their vehicle while Cammy 'lights them up'."

Cameron increased her speed and so did the tailing vehicle. Cammy got her M4 ready and Cameron pulled her Glock.

"Get ready. I'm about to do a reverse maneuver and spin around. We will be right on top of them." Cameron said. "Get down, Savannah."

It was Showtime.

Allison could tell there was something that bothered Vanna greatly. It was a story about something that was done to Vanna that caused her a lot of shame. It also indicated to her that she would probably never be able to have a child.

Vanna finished her story to Allison.

Allison thought she'd heard everything there was to hear about Vanna. Now she wondered if there was more damage hidden somewhere else in Vanna's mind.

"Vanna, I'm so sorry to hear all that." Allison said. "You told me a little about that but not that it lasted months with multiple assaults every day, for so long."

She thought it was bad enough with one individual for a couple of months. After nothing happened with him it was all of his friends or even associates as well. There never seemed to be a shortage of men looking for a free 'ride'. The least disgusting part about all of that was that she didn't need to see all the other men's faces as they took what they wanted from her.

"I was so ashamed." Vanna said. "They made it all seem like it was my fault. I was chained up. They 'sold' me and treated me like a slave. They tried to breed me like an animal. They were going to punish me for being sterile."

Vanna still wondered how any of that was her fault. If she didn't do what they told her, they didn't feed her and beat on her.

Allison was afraid of something else that thoughts like this produced. They bred thoughts of suicide. She'd seen it before. Sometimes when a female was able to escape from a Scavenger camp, they were so ashamed and humiliated about what was done to them that they couldn't take it. They would wait until a Resistance fighter fell asleep and then use one of their firearms on themselves.

"Why are you telling me this now?" Allison asked. "It makes me very worried for you. I know in the past - the future. We've all thought of taking our own lives before. ALL of us."

Vanna thought of ending it all more than a few times. It wasn't for the first couple of years of repeated assaults it made her think that way. It was the first time she was in Scavenger camp when she saw what her life was going to be like. It was going to be very brutal, cruel and short. She'd learned quickly to try and 'associate' herself with the leader of the camp. That normally stopped all the other men in the camp from using her.

"No, I won't do that." Vanna said. "I won't let Scavengers or Skynet 'win'."

Allison wondered who else Vanna may have told.

"Does anyone else know this?" Allison asked. "Have you told Cam or Cameron?"

Vanna was always too ashamed to tell anyone. She wanted someone to know. That someone was someone who she knew very well, she was once her.

"No." Vanna said. "I've only ever told myself – Savannah."

Allison swallowed hard. She couldn't imagine Savannah knowing what actually happened to her. Even if it wasn't her, it still was.

"That must have been rough on her." Allison said.

Vanna was actually surprised at how well Savannah took everything that she told her.

"It wasn't." Vanna said. "She told me not to worry about the past and to look toward the NEW future we're making. She told me that time will resolve everything. She looked me directly in the eyes and told me, 'Don't worry and always have faith'."

Vanna was sure what Savannah 'told' her. It was something she could never ask Savannah to do.

Allison felt where they were at in time right now was a lot better than where they came from.

"Time has resolved everything so far." Allison said. "Look where we are right now. We're in Paradise surrounded by smoking hot females, without Skynet having destroyed the world."

Vanna had to agree with that. She may not have the same variety of females that she did in the future but all of the females she had access to were smoking hot like Allison said.

"I guess that is a pretty good start." Vanna said.

Allison moved over and kissed Vanna long, slow and deep.

"Vanna…." Allison said.

"Yes?" Vanna asked.

Allison truly looked forward to her future with Vanna at her side.

"Vanna, I love you even more." Allison said. "We'll make great parents, one way or another."

Vanna believed it was time to move her life forward. She'd been stuck in neutral for so long.

"I'll speak with Savannah." Vanna said. "I know she's 'ready'."

Allison knew that her mother would make a good backup for her. She'd already carried and delivered one of her babies. It was her baby but Future Allison got it instead. She didn't think it was fair to her but she did understand the necessity of it. There was no way in Cameron's future that Future Allison would ever be able to have a child in any other way than what Cameron orchestrated. She always needed to tell herself that she'd helped herself. Future Allison was her. They were the same person.

"I'll speak with my mother." Allison said. "She's always ready."

Vanna was well aware that Allison's mother was always ready for a good time. She could testify first hand that it was always a passion filled adventure to share with Claire.

"One way or another…." Vanna said.

There was new hope in both of their lives. There were multiple options open to both of them. There were even more for Allison. Not only could she rely on her mother, there was her younger self too. Maybe that's who she should rely on and the baby that was produced should be free of any toxins or germs from the future.

Nothing was set in stone.

Young Allison watched the events in the desert unfold. The new plan sounded worse than the other one.

"I don't like their new plan." Young Allison said.

Anna needed to consider the source of the plan Cameron adopted.

"It was suggested by Savannah." Anna said.

Young Allison felt it put Savannah in too much danger. Maybe she should just destroy the vehicle where it was.

"I think I want a drone to strike the vehicle with a missile." Young Allison said. "I may ask CamNet to do that."

Anna believed if the team on the ground wanted to use that option that they would have already.

"They could call for a drone strike themselves." Anna said.

Young Allison did understand why they hadn't used the missile option. Cameron wanted to interrogate the people in the car to find out exactly who they were.

"I know they want answers from the occupants of the vehicle." Young Allison said. "They still don't know who they are or who they represent."

Young Allison and Anna watched the drone footage now of the two vehicles. They were on a deserted section of the highway in the desert. It was clear Cameron was about to act.

"It's going down soon." Anna said.

Young Allison was troubled by a missing piece of the puzzle. She felt it was a key piece and she wanted to know more.

"We still don't know how the 'Metal Bitch' knew to come and try to attack them." Young Allison said. "That's bothering me."

Anna believed it was related to what the Metal girls did at the casino vault.

"I think it was because of the 'withdrawal' that the girls made from the casino." Anna said.

Young Allison thought they should call it what it was.

"It wasn't a withdrawal. It was an armed robbery. Did they do anything to give away that they were Terminators?" Young Allison asked. "Did the Syndicate or Grays think it was another crime family or just common thieves?"

That was all a mystery so far. Anna wanted better answers as well.

"We don't know that yet." Anna said. "We also need to find out how they knew about where our team was operating from."

Young Allison already attempted to look into a few things she wanted to see. They were blocked from her. When she encountered missing items from the surveillance footage anywhere or even the battlefield, she was told it was in her best interest that it was missing. She didn't agree with that concept. She thought she should be the judge of her own mind and not someone else.

"It still doesn't explain how she knew to go there. I tried to review some of the hotel footage and there are large sections 'missing'." Young Allison said.

Anna reminded Young Allison that she possessed the ability to change that.

"You can order CamNet to show you them." Anna said.

Young Allison felt the same way Savannah did about 'orders'. They should only be given as a last resort or under emergency circumstances. Savannah used emergency circumstances to get all of the Terminators out of the Fanatic's structure before it exploded. She believed that was the proper use of an order.

"I won't." Young Allison said. "Cameron or Savannah must have asked CamNet to redact them for 'personal reasons'. I need to respect that."

Anna believed if Young Allison really wanted to know something that there is a much simpler way to find out.

"That is very wise of you." Anna said. "You can always ask Cameron or Savannah yourself."

Young Allison didn't believe that everything a person did was something they wanted others to know about.

"If they want to tell me, that's up to them." Young Allison said. "Every girl needs a few secrets…."

Young Allison planned to have quite a few secrets going forward. There were her things in her mind that she wanted to do and who she wanted to do them with. She planned to 'be with' everyone that Savannah was with and then some. Nobody should be able to stand in her way and stop her.

It'll Be Our Secret

I know what you want
I want it as well
It'll be our secret
Nobody need tell

I see it in your eyes
It's written on your face
This game not need be played
It's time to end this chase

Life is very short
It can end in an instant
Come closer now
Don't be distant

Time waits for Nobody
Tick Tock goes the clock
Open your eyes and ears
Can't you feel me knock

Do not turn away
Do not our love snuff
Do not seek another
I am good enough

Nobody
