He first noticed her at the back of the class on one school day.
'Oh great,' Sasuke thought. 'Another crazy girl.'
The young Uchiha purposely came early in the morning in an attempt to avoid his grossly obsessed fan club but to see another girl ready to pounce at him greatly agitated his already foul mood. He sat down on his seat and awaited for bothersome attention. However, moments passed and yet a single compliment, grab, squeal came out of the girl. Actually, it was too quiet. Did he really see a girl or a ghost? He roughly gazed back at the girl and saw her visibly flinch when she caught sight of his exasperated expression staring right back at her fearful look. No wonder he wasn't being pushed around. The awfully silent girl was Hinata Hyuuga herself. The only girl who liked the dobe himself, Naruto Uzumaki. A timid girl she was, so much different from the loud blonde. That alone made her strange. If he excluded the fact she jumped at every little sound and action. Though if he were to compare her to girls like Ino or Sakura, he'd say Hinata was a tolerable girl.
"U-Uchiha-san?" She shyly called out to him to question his sudden stare.
Ignoring her, Sasuke faced back to the front of the class. Perhaps God thought that was the right time to strike him with karma for his rude action. His stomach growled from the lack of breakfast he had to skip in order to come early. Sasuke inwardly glared at himself for his stupid bodily functions. He felt a slight blush creep up his cheeks from the embarrassment. Though he was thankful it was only the Hyuga that witnessed the noise that came from the ever 'cool' Sasuke Uchiha. Who knows how many girly bento boxes would have been shoved in front of his face. It was only a few minutes after when he whipped his head to the side as he suddenly felt a small tug on his sleeve.
"W-wha-" Sasuke could only sputter as he was greeted with big pupiless-doll eyes. Just when did she approach him? He stared at a carefully wrapped onigiri that was politely held by two pale hands. Hinata trembled in fright when he immediately glared at her gesture. She had heard his stomach and as much as she wanted to ignore it, her morality took over. She just wants to help everyone in any way she can, no matter how scary they seem. "Sorry, but not. Interested."
Originally, she was going to give the onigiri to Naruto but it seemed Sasuke needed it more. "B-but.. y-you must be hungry… for coming so e-early.."
"What's it to you?" He harshly replied back which earned him a small squeak from the girl.
Hinata desperately tried to hide her face behind the onigiri she held, anything to escape from his glare. "T-to escape the g-girls right?" She took his silence as an agreement and continued her struggle to not pass out from the pressure. "I-I understand… sometimes I come e-early to e-e-escape from others…"
Surprisingly, a ruthless answer she expected him to say didn't come. A laugh came out instead. She peeked at him through one of her eyes she had unconsciously squeezed shut and was met with a joyous expression. Well, it was joyous compared to his usual stoic or annoyed expression.
"Of course you would," he said with laughs in between. Dispersing the suspicion he had of her that she too was a fangirl, Sasuke took the onigiri. "Thanks, Hyuga."
Hinata quickly bowed and went back to her seat before anyone came and saw them.
Sasuke smirked and began eating. Seriously, she was too quiet.
That was the day Sasuke Uchiha became curious about Hinata Hyuuga.
hope u enjoy. i'm prob gonna add more ships with hinata later on. maybe with neji or gaara. undecided. this starts off when their young and is prob gonna continue following the naruto series.
