Mittlet descended from the sky, her wings flapping as she stumbled a bit on the landing. The Fallen Angel held out her arms, and managed to stabilise herself before she could fall.
"Nice landing shorty," A voice called out from one of the church pews.
She turned to the voice and a look of disgust appeared on her face "What are you doing out here with the Twilight Healing girl, Freed?"
Sitting on one of the church pews was a white haired man with a pair of red eyes. He was dressed in a priestly garb, complete with a crucifix around his neck, as well as a white jacket. Next to him was a blonde girl with blue eyes, standing awkwardly beside him, who was wearing a teal nun outfit, minus the habit.
Those red eyes glanced at the nun beside him before flicking back towards her "Our oh-so-great Lady Raynare, asked me to keep an eye out for the girly while she does some," he rolled his eyes "Finishing touches on her master plan."
"Is she still here?" Mittlet asked as she dusted off her dress from the dirt and grass that was stuck in "I need to speak with her."
"Down down down in the basement," Freed let out a laugh "That bitch is probably making an excuse to jack off the group down there!"
"Watch your tongue exorcist," Mittlet clicked her own at his words and tone. Her eyes narrowed when he stood up, causing the blonde nun beside him to flinch and take a step back. When he turned to the door, she called out to him "Where are you going?"
"Out," Freed answered dismissively "I ain't gonna stay here all day just babysitting blonde and stupid over here."
Mittlet watched as the blonde could only look confused at one half of the conversation she could understand from the exorcist.
She bit her tongue, but she didn't say anything. Which made Freed raise an eyebrow, before he shrugged and left. The nun quickly followed, calling out to the priest in a panic.
Shame, she hoped to at least get the Twilight Healing girl on her side before she left. Would've gotten her a bigger bonus from her boss.
So Mittlet skipped down to the basement, her face set in stone as she continued with her new mission.
[Scene]
When Asterios and Koneko stepped into the clubhouse, Issei was already there. The brunette grinned "'Sup you guys? Prez is busy with the Fallen hottie."
"hello," Asterios returned the greeting.
Koneko looked at him for a few seconds, before returning with nod "Yo." She looked at his hand and raised an eyebrow "How's lefty?"
He gave a thumbs up with his now fixed left hand "Prez helped me heal it a bit," the way that his grinned turned lecherous ruffled Koneko's feathers "But I managed to heal the rest of it with my own Magical Power, so it's all good now!" He looked at them, and grin turned into a sly smile "And what about you two? Enjoy your post mission date?"
Koneko eyes widened as her face flushed.
Asterios tilted his head and turned to Koneko "was that a date koneko? i hope it was fun for you."
Koneko face only grew redder as Issei had to hold back his laughter.
The Rook closed her eyes, and her face returned to normal She looked up at the Minotaur and answered "No Asterios that wasn't a date," she stated.
"oh," Asterios paused and looked at her "would you like to go on one?"
Koneko's face flushed redder as they heard cheering from Issei.
She lowered her head, and muttered just loud enough for Asterios to hear "Later."
[Scene]
Issei was sure that the phrase Devil's Luck was supposed to be good luck. But as the newly Reincarnated Devil stood before a crazy looking priest/exorcist/whatever the jerk was, Issei wondered if it was supposed to mean shit luck.
He glanced at the blood on the floor, and the mangled body of the customer that he was supposed to serve today. He was lucky that he had seen a grislier sight yesterday, or Issei would've probably started throwing up at the sight.
"Well Devil boy?" The exorcist, Freed as he had introduce himself, taunted as he waved a gun around "Not gonna say anything, not gonna beg or cry for mercy?" He leaned forward and grinned "Or are you just gonna stay quiet like the little bitch you are?"
Issei clenched his fist, swallowed the spit and just summoned his Sacred Gear "I'm not afraid of you, you cocksucker!" He exclaimed, pointing the red gauntlet forward.
"Tough words," The handle in his hand suddenly grew a blade of light, one that made him wince at the sight "Let's see if you back it up!" He charged forward with his sword in the air.
Issei thought that he could, and was ready to just throw a punch. He thought that the priest guy was going to swing, and he could at least dodge it.
"Just Kidding!"
Only for the bastard to just shoot him right in the shoulder instead.
Pain, so much pain filled his head as he was thrown back from the bullet wound. He fell backwards and screamed in agony.
"Like I'm gonna test my luck against your Devil bullshit," He walked up towards him and pointed the gun to his head "Normally, I'd like to play around a bit more. But, my boss called me a while ago and I don't want her to bitch to me."
Issei paid no mind to the bullcrap the exorcist was spouting, only that he was in pain.
"AAAHHHHHH!"
And his luck kept getting worse! The pain momentarilty forgotten, he saw her.
Asia Argento, the kind girl he had met just yesterday. The Nun that he had escorted to the church. She looked at the mangled corpse, and then looked at his injured state.
She looked horrified, scared, and most of all confused. She looked at him with her blue eyes framed with her blonde hair.
"Issei?"
[Scene]
Asterios stared at the ceiling of the clubroom, the sound of Gasper's video game playing filled the silent room.
It had been quite some time since Rias and the rest of her peerage suddenly teleported away. It seemed urgent, and it didn't seem that he could reach where they were headed before it could be solved. Or noticed by the general populace.
So it was by request that he stay at the clubhouse while she and the others settled the problem.
"I hope Rias is okay," Gasper muttered as he continued to play his video game. The Devil, and his box, were both situated on his lap. He had left his room after the clubhouse had gone silent for quite a while, though he did call out for Asterios before he left his room.
"she looked worried," Asterios mentioned "but she should be fine."
Gasper let out a sigh and stopped playing his game, the character on screen taking a few hits as a reason before dying a moment later. He looked at the device for a few moments "I really wish I could help her…"
Asterios looked at the small Devil and tilted his head "why don't you?"
He lowered the device in his hands and mumbled out "I'm scared of my powers hurting her."
"do you want hurt her?" Asterios asked.
"No!" He exclaimed, before he shrunk back "I don't want to hurt Rias, but I can't… help but be scared that I would."
"if you aren't going to hurt her on purpose," he looked confused "then why be afraid?"
"Because I'm scared of it," Gasper sighed and curled up in the box "My family called me a monster for having it, and everyone else thinks so to. Only Rias, Koneko and the others aren't afraid if it."
"i don't think you're a monster," Asterios reassured him "you don't hurt people on purpose, so i think it's fine."
Gasper smiled shyly "Thanks Asterios, bu-"
Whatever he was going to say next was cut short by a knock on the door.
Immediately the Devil stuffed himself in his box and cried out "No one is here, I'm all alone, please don't enter!"
Asterios blinked as he felt some sort of magical energy pulse around him. Looking down at his lap, the Devil and box had vanished, and was currently inching away from the room. "don't worry gasper," He called out to the retreating box "i'll answer the door."
Getting up from the chair, Asterios walked towards the door and pulled it open.
A pair of blue eyes and a head of blonde hair met his gaze.
She looked scared, and frightened.
Asterios tilted his head at the newcomer but greeted her nonetheless "hello fallen angel, what're you doing here?"
He saw her gulped and take a step back, before she shook her head. She pointed a finger at his face and announced "Minotaur!"
He narrowed his eyes a bit at the tone.
She paused, shivering for a moment, before she continued "Take me to your Master at once! I have an important message for her, from the Grigori!"
He blinked "who?"
"Your Mas-ter!" She repeated "The Devil in charge of this city, I'm here to bring an important message for me in regards to a rogue Fallen Angel."
Asterios stared at her for a good few seconds, before tilting his head "do you mean, rias gremory?" he shook his head "she went out a while ago."
"Ugh, are you really the only one here?" Her finger curled back "Is there, like, anyone else here that I can talk to?"
Asterios thought about it. Gasper was too shy to talk to anyone, so that was a no. The Fallen Angel was still unconscious, so that was a no as well. The Minotaur shook his head "no, i'm the only here you can talk to."
She stared at him for a good long while, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Before finally she let out a yell and stomped her feet "Stupid Devils! How hard is it to just have someone here to talk to! I have important business to take care of!"
Asterios narrowed his eyes "don't insult them."
A shiver went through her body at the warning "Noted." the Fallen Angel gulped. She leaned to the side, and saw the main room of the clubhouse. She stared at it for a while, before turning her gaze back onto the Minotaur "Can I at least wait inside until your st- Gremory comes back?"
"are you going to hurt anyone?"
She looked at his eyes and answered "No."
He nodded and turned around "then you can come inside i guess."
The Fallen Angel could feel the ground shake as he walked towards the massive chair in the middle of the room and took a seat.
She followed him and took a seat on the couch opposite of the massive chair. As she did, her eyes lit up at the sight of the confectionaries on the table. She reached out for one.
"don't," only for the Minotaur to cut her off "that's koneko's, not yours."
She lifted her head to give a glare, only to immediately wilt at the stoic look of indifference on the Minotaur's face. Wisely she pulled her hand back, and waited in silence.
