A/N: Happy (Belated) Valentines day! And what's more romantic than two people beating the shit out of the other people. Probably a lot of things, but hey, I'd figure I'd post this before I just forget about this fic again.

"this place is really like the school," Asterios mumbled as he and Koneko made way towards the gym. He looked around and let out a low hum "it's very-" his face scrunched up as he tried to enunciate the words "eye-dent-tea-call, to the real one."

"Yup," Koneko nodded "So just like what Rias said, you can go wild and destroy as much property as you want."

The two of them stepped out of the forest and were quickly approaching the gym, it was right in the middle of the Rating Game arena.

"are you sure?" Asterios looked over to Koneko "no one would care?"

"Pretty sure," Koneko shrugged "So if you want to break down a few walls, just make it look cool."

Asterios couldn't hide the smile on his face "…cool."

With Koneko's direction the two of them entered the gym from the back entrance, the two of them sneaking inside.

Well, Koneko snuck inside. Asterios just merely walked in, he paused and sniffed the air.

"hmm…" Asterios hummed in the dark "there is someone already here."

Koneko closed her eyes for a moment, sensing the energy around her. As usual the hanging malice around Asterios tickled her senses first, before she was able to ignore it.

"You're right." Koneko opened her eyes, standing up and simply walking forward "There's four of 'em."

On cue the lights of the gymnasium turned on, lighting up the building.

In the middle of the court, the same one that they had even used to play dodgeball Asterios noticed, were four of the opposing team.

Two of them looked similar to each other, both had green hair, both had blue eyes, and both were even wearing the same t-shirt and shorts as each other. Another had blue hair, wearing a red coat over a white haori, on her back was a staff. The fourth one had long black hair, some of which were tied in two buns by her head and wore a blue dress.

Koneko eyed the fourth one, her eyes narrowing "That one is dangerous." She could feel how stronger she was than the others, not only due to her being a Rook compared to the three Pawns. But she could feel that she was just stronger.

"Thank you." The Rook in question replied with a rather smug grin, one that wiped away as a more serious look appeared on her face "Now that you two are here, we can actually fight. And from the looks of it, she sent two Rooks."

"Hey isn't that the one that tried to threatened Lord Riser?" One of the short girls pointed at Asterios.

"It is isn't it, I didn't think he'd have the balls to join their peerage!" The other one giggled.

The two of them grinned "That means, we can pay you back for what you said to our Master!"

The grins on their faces faltered when Asterios returned it with a smile of his own "I'd…" His voice growled out, his body seemingly eager for a fight "Like to… See you… Try."

"Careful there," Koneko patted him on the thigh "Remember, at least try to avoid completely mangling them."

Asterios nodded. He turned to her "Do you… want me to… fight the strong one?"

Her yellow eyes stared the Rook for a good long while, before she allowed herself to smirk and punched a fist into an open hand "Nah," she cracked her knuckles and "I can take her, you take care of the other three."

"Gladly…" He turned to the other three with his red eyes.

"He seems fairly confident," The one with blue hair spoke up, eying the larger male "Although, I don't seem to sense much Magic from him."

His hand reached for his ear, his fingers hooking around the loop of the ear ring.

"Maybe he's just-"

The ear ring was pulled off with a flick of his finger, and the larger male grew even larger.

"-talking… big…"

Growing to his full height, Asterios took a deep breath and let out a roar.

[Scene]

"What the?!" One of the Pawns looked around as they heard the roar echoed from around them. All three of them stopped in their tracks, stopping in the middle of the forest where they had been advancing towards their goal.

"Did you hear that?" Another Pawn asked, already getting ready for a fight "It sounded like Gremory managed to snag some sort of beast."

"We sure it's not just another one of their lame traps?" The final Pawn questioned the other two.

"Nope."

Yuuto stepped out of the forest as the last Pawn asked her question, the blonde giving his usual friendly smile as he approached the three "The most we could do for illusions was that little clubhouse trick you ran into. What you just heard was a friend of ours."

The three of them readied for a fight, one of them scoffing as she held out her fists "Hmph, so the Gremory girl resorted to bringing around beasts to help her win?"

Yuuto's eye narrowed dangerous, his smile vanishing as he summoned a blade into existence "Watch your words ladies, that 'beast' is still an important part of our group."

"Couldn't agree more," Issei spoke out as he walked out of the forest, a grin on his face as he held out his left hand to summon Boosted Gear.

[Scene]

The peerage members of Riser Phenex flinched as the newly revealed Minotaur roared in their faces. Not only was the scream strong enough that the Pawns could feel themselves being pushed back, but they could sense the danger from the being that stood before them.

Only the Rook seemed resistant to his yell, meeting the beast's roar with her own glare.

"Asterios," Koneko spoke over his roar, trusting him to hear her over his intimidation attempt "Jump."

The wooden tiles under his feet cracked, before they exploded into splinters as Asterios followed Koneko's command. The entire gym shook by the mere act of him launching himself into the air.

All four members of the enemy peerage couldn't help but look up, their eyes following the immediate and most obvious threat of the duo.

Koneko smirked as she balled both of her hands into fists, and with her own super strength launched herself forward.

Towards the Rook.

She noticed the smaller Devil approaching her, her eyes snapping down from the Minotaur. She tried to raise her guard-

Her breath left her body when two small, but extremely powerful, fists slammed into her stomach and chest.

Koneko's eyes widened, her yellow eyes flashing as she willed some of her power into her strike and tried her best to flood the Rook with what amount of chi she could managed to gather for herself.

Her fist glowed, and sent the Rook flying past her peerage members before slamming into the wall at the far end of the court.

"Xuelan!" The two identical pawns took their eyes off of the Minotaur in the air to look at the new threat.

"Ile, Nel!" The third Pawn however didn't, she drew her staff from her back and with a sweep, she pushed herself and her fellow Pawns out of the way.

Just as the massive Minotaur slammed into where all three of them had just been standing. The entire building shook and rumbled as Asterios cratered the landing area.

Koneko leapt up from behind the Minotaur, "Asterios!" She called out to him as her jump arc moved her above the Minotaur "Throw me!"

His hand snatched up and caught her just as she curled herself into a ball. He pitched his arm back, and with his eyes set on the still recovering Rook, threw the Devil in his hand towards her with as much strength as he could.

"Nya!" Koneko couldn't help but squint her eyes a bit as she sailed through the air, her target in her sights.

Once she was close, she extended her legs forward to deliver a brutal dropkick towards the Rook.

As Asterios eyes followed Koneko flying through the air, the Minotaur felt his head jostle just a tiny bit, by a sudden downward strike on his forehead. His eyes snapped up to where the source of pain had come from, catching the sight of the blue haired Pawn staring into his red eyes, her's filled with fear.

In her hands was her staff, broken in two as the top half spun in the air where it had struck his head. The splinters were still floating in the air.

The same hand that he had used to throw Koneko, flexed and drew back. The Pawn could only blink, before she was grabbed out of the air by a hand that was almost as large as her entire body. The Pawn let out a strangled scream as the hand threatened to crush her whole body, the fingers seemingly working to grind her bones together.

Asterios brought his hand up, and threw her into the ground with the same amount of force he had used to launch Koneko. The Pawn felt nothing but pain as she hit the ground hard enough that she bounced out of the crater that her body had formed.

"Mira!" The two identical Pawns cried out towards her.

The Pawn couldn't hear the worried cries of her peerage members, the blinding pain instead filled her every thought. The only thing that broke through that however, was the sight of the Minotaur raising his other hand, curled into an equally massive fist, and swinging down.

Her last action was to try and hold the sharpened end of her broken staff, hoping that it could at least slow it down. It broke through what remained of her weapon as easily as one would tear wet paper, and the fist hammered into her chest.

Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as the pain became too much to bear.

Asterios lifted his fist, the Pawn underneath it twitching in pain. He raised his fist once more, but blinked when her body broke apart into motes of light and vanished. Distantly he heard a voice, similar to Other President, say that a Pawn had retired.

But he tuned it out when he heard another sound, the sound of metal grinding against each other. He turned away from the crater and saw the other two Pawns, wielding weapons that he had never seen before.

The two of them glaring at him, their eyes narrowed and teeth bared "You made the wrong choice you big ball of fluff!" He returned their glares with his own.

Koneko landed on her feet, easily backing away as to avoid the flurry of kicks that her opponent was throwing her way.

The enemy Rook had managed to block her flying dropkick, which stung her personally, and was trying her best to counter attack. But with her initial strike filled with her chi, the Rook was trying hard to stay on her feet. Even the kicks that she was throwing, she assumed that they would coveed in flames, but instead flickering embers came out each strike.

Despite that Koneko kept her guard up, even if part of her was enjoying how frustrated the Rook was as she tried to follow along.

The Rook, somehow sensing her enjoyment, growled and brought her foot down in a vicious axe kick. The flickering flames on her feet briefly lit up in an orange inferno, slamming down an orange pillar of flame down on Koneko's position.

"You missed."

The Rook's eyes widen, before the smaller Devil suddenly launched herself through the orange pillar to deliver a swift, but deadly kick to the side of her neck.

She heard a rather wince inducing 'crack' before the Rook crumpled to the ground.

Koneko landed on her feet, smiling as she looked down at the downed Rook.

Her attention when she heard the battle cries of the other Pawns, she turned to see both of them leaping towards Asterios with their weapons, chainsaws to her genuine surprise, held high in the air.

Worry spiked in her heart when both of those weapons slammed onto his head, the grinding metal spinning faster than normal with the Devil magic enhancing them. Her worry grew when she saw how strands of his white mane and small flecks of blood flying from where the chainsaws had landed.

But the worry subsided, when after just a few seconds the tools in the Pawns' hands stuttered before they jammed entirely.

She enjoyed the looks of shock on their faces, before an irate Asterios snatched them out of the air, their chainsaws included.

A deep part of her cired when she saw a patch of his soft fluffy hair get teared out by the chainsaws that had failed to break through his skin, and because of that she said nothing as she watched the Minotaur lift his hands up and threw both of them into the same crater that he was standing in.

She even stayed silent when he lifted up his fists again and hammered them deeper into the ground.

"One of Riser's Rook and Two of Riser's Pawns have retired."

Koneko walked up towards the Minotaur, and gave him a friendly pat on his thigh. He snapped his head towards her, his eyes still carrying murder and bloodlust.

She gave him a thumbs up "Nice work."

He stared at her for a good second, before his mouth pulled back into a snarling smile "Thank… You…"

[Scene]

"You know Koneko," Akeno smiled as she hovered above the gymnasium "You and Asterios were supposed to just disable whoever was inside."

"…sorry…" Asterios voice was the first to be heard in her ears.

"Looks like we were just too strong for them," Despite the fact that she could only hear the voice she could feel the cat-like smile on Koneko's face "Besides, doesn't that mean you have a full charge ready to go?"

"I guess~" Akeno let out a sigh "But I was so ready to blow up the gym."

"Koneko is right," Rias' voice was next to echo in her ear "Even if they went off plan-"

"…again…sorry…"

Once more she could somehow feel the mischievous smile on the smaller Devil's face, somehow she could even sense her patting Asterios on the back.

"-We use that to our advantage." There was a small shift in the connected between the communications "Akeno, do you still have a full charge ready?"

"Yes Rias," Her eyes moved away from the gymnasium, focusing instead on the main building "Although I might not be able to blast it at will, considering how many of Riser's pieces are there, I'm still at full power."

"Then we move along with the plan," Rias informed her "Try to escort Koneko and Asterios towards the main building, and I'll get Issei and Yuuto to follow after they're done."

"Understood," Akeno nodded, and with that the line cut off.

The Queen's eyes snapped down back at the gymnasium, she opened her mouth to inform the two inside to move.

Only for her eyes to widen when a Magic Circle suddenly covered the entire building.

"KONEKO, ASTERIOS!" She screamed into the magical connection "GET OUT OF THERE!"

A moment later, she had to shield herself when the gymnasium suddenly exploded in a massive magical detonation that sent her spinning the air. Her Devil wings stopped her from flying too far away, and she stared at the smoking crater where the gym had just been.

Her eyes darted amongst the wreckage, hoping to find her friends. Her search was interrupted by a rather haughty laugh.

"Two Rook for the price of three Pawns and one of our own," Floating just above the crater was a woman with long purple hair, a magical scepter that she tapping in her free hand "Would've preferred not to lose any pieces, but I figure those are bigger losses for your team."

Akeno eyes snapped towards the sudden addition, her eye narrowing in anger moreso as she noticed who it was. A dangerous smirk appeared on her lips as yellow lightning appeared at the tip of her fingers "So, the Bomb Queen herself appears." Her other hand came alight with the same yellow lightning "And true to your tittle, you made one hell of a Bang."

The lightning around her flashed even brighter as the power she had been holding in to blow up the gym flowed through her.

"Akeno, we're fine!"

Two pairs of eyes turned to the shout, both of them equally shocked.

The smoke had cleared, revealing the rubble and debris that was all that was left of the gym.

In the middle of it was the large noticeable figure of Asterios, his body seemingly shielding the only other person that could've been with him.

A moment later, a head of white hair peeked out from the Minotaur's unmoving body, Koneko's yellow eyes staring up at them "Asterios shielded me from the blast, we're still in this fight."

"What?!" The Queen cried out in surprise "But I charged that blast to full power."

Slowly the steaming body of Asterios rose up, his head turning away from the ground to stare up at the women with purple hair.

She recoiled back when she saw the Minotaur smile at her.

"Not…" He growled out, his voice shaking with pain and effort "Strong…" She saw the missing patches of flesh on his body, not enough to debilitate him, but enough that she could tell that it would have been excruciating "Enough…"

Because what came with the smile, was a bloodthirsty promise to return that pain ten -fold.

Caught up in her glare, the Queen couldn't react when a bolt of lightning seemingly fell from the sky and struck her.

She screamed as magical electricity filled her body, the source of it hovering just a few feet from her. Her tongue licking her lips as she enjoyed the pain screams of her opponent, before she willed a larger pulse of it.

An even larger electrical discharge sent the opposing Queen flying out of the sky, and slammed right into the main building. Out of the current fight.

"Fufufufu~" The sight of it was just too much to bear for Akeno, and she found herself laughing at the sight. Her face flushed red.

Asterios turned his gaze away from the Queen that had been blasted away, and turned towards the one that was laughing in the sky.

When their eyes locked, the laughing sadistic Queen meeting with the lingering bloodlust of the Minotaur.

Akeno couldn't help smile even wider, the manic smile only making the flush on her face even worse.

At least until Koneko jumped up and pulled Asterios by his horns. The Minotaur quickly fell forward and found himself carried by the diminutive figure of Koneko. Those inhuman eyes meet with annoyed yellow ones, on a face with puffed cheeks and a pout on her lips.

Koneko lifted her head and glared at the flying Queen "I'm carrying Asterios outta here!" She shouted out. And comically the small Devil easily dragged the Minotaur out of the crater and brought him towards the Main Building.

Akeno let out a sigh of content as her eyes followed the two, before her gaze settled on the hole where she had launched the Bomb Queen.

"Rias, I'm going ahead to handle the Bomb Queen if I'm allowed."

"You charged up enough to handle her?"

"Oh, I'm all fired up!"
