Gamelover41592: Thanks
Matt (Guest): I mean…he kinda did
Alright, time to finish this story up. And well, I think our group deserves some R and R. It's been about a month at this point.
Brick idly grinned as he grabbed another handful of popcorn. After dropping Olimar and Louie off and returning home, the group was quickly proclaimed to be heroes. Those proclamations only grew when the fruits started rolling out. While there were still some problems with food, they finally had ways to grow more and at massive sizes no less. While it was fun for a while, the group quickly got sick of all the praise.
So a movie night with just the four of them (plus pets) was just what the doctor ordered.
"Remember when we did this on the ship?" Alph asked from his spot on the floor.
"I don't want to," Brittany grumbled. The boys all laughed. The night overall was fun, but Louie stealing all their food spoiled things a little.
"Oh come on, Brittany! You're still mad about that?" Charlie asked.
"Yes," Brittany said as she glared at her former captain, who shrunk a little under the glare, causing Brick to laugh a little.
"Are you guys still getting approached for autographs?" He asked the couple, who both sighed.
"How do you guys deal with that?" Alph had to ask. He had more people stop him on the street in a month after getting home than he had almost his entire life.
"Eh, they forget about it after a while," Charlie assured him as he stole the popcorn from his son, prompting Brick to glare at him. Charlie just gave him a chuckle.
"I somehow doubt that," Brittany deadpanned with a playful roll of her eyes. She didn't exactly mind all the extra attention, but she preferred getting it from people she cared about.
"...You guys ever think about the Pikmin?" Brick suddenly asked out of the blue. Everyone perked a little at the mention of the little helpers who had pushed through every hazard possible just to help the explorers save their planet.
"All the time," Brittany was the first to fest up. "They were so cute and felt bad that there was nothing else we could do for them."
"Those little guys were some of the greatest crew members I've ever had the pleasure of commanding," Charlie proudly admitted. "Brick and I still have a few pictures hanging in the house!"
"I've got some pictures too!" Alph chimed in. "Well, I guess it's Brittany and I have them." Upon getting back to PNF-404, Alph and Brittany had confessed to Brick and Charlie that, yes, they were a couple. And had a good laugh over Brick handing money over to Charlie over whether or not they were a couple before PNF-404 or not.
"Maybe we could find a way to go back and visit them?" Brittany offered.
"A vacation?" Charlie clarified.
"Well…that place wasn't my ideal vacation spot, but if it means seeing the Pikmin again, I guess I'm okay with it!" Brick said, causing everyone to laugh. It was strange to think about how four people from completely different walks of life had come together to help save a world.
It was almost like they had created a family of their own.
Mal grinned as he watched the cages get brought in. While Brick's little space romp hadn't granted him anything in the way of useful allies, it did offer him several useful tools.
Bulborbs, Wollywogs, Blowhogs, Snagrets, Joustmites, Crawmads, it didn't matter to Mal. What mattered was that it could eat and/or kill anyone who he set it on.
And of course, it was funny to watch him hurt people.
"MY HAIR!" Gideon wailed as he attempted to put his flaming hair out. Mal couldn't stop himself from laughing.
Somehow, I feel like collecting some of PNF-404's wildlife is more dangerous than Mal getting an actual ally. But you do you. Extra stuff chapter will be out tomorrow.
