A/N: Here we go! It's a new chapter!

Regina's POV

Without any hesitation, Randy pointed toward Emma, "Her, Ma. The drunk ran right into the table and messed everything up!"

When Emma stepped forward and started to growl again, he crossed his arms, looking vindicated. Pointing a finger at him, Emma began to say, "I'm not—" But before she could finish Regina slapped a hand over her mouth.

Randy's mother turned and looked at the two of them, her anger rising, "How dare you! Not only do you mess up our stand, but you're drunk on a holy day!"

Emma glared right back at the woman as she pushed off Regina's hand, "Look, it was a friggin' accident lady." She started moving forward.

Regina once again had to step in, physically blocking Emma, "What she meant to say was, 'how much will the damages cost?'" To emphasize her point, she held out the bag of coins.

The mother was not having it, however, "What I should do is have ya arrested! It's sinful to be drunk on the Day of the Lady."

"Listen here—" Emma was once again interrupted by Regina, this time by getting elbowed hard in the stomach. "We're not from here, so we had no idea this was a holy day. My apologies," Regina said, "But please, there's no need to involve the authorities."

Behind her Emma was shaking with anger, but she kept quiet. The mother watched them closely, not looking very convinced.

They could not get arrested on their first day in a new realm! That would have to be a new record. One only Emma seemed capable of.

However, before his mother could do what she planned, Randy regretfully placed a hand on her shoulder, and said, "Ma. Ya know… you can't really do that anymore."

She turned and glared at him, "Well it should be!" It looked like she was about to say something else, but after a moment she deflated slightly and turned back toward Emma and Regina, "You're getting off easy! Back in my day, if you got drunk on this day you'd be held in jail for a month!" She seemed extremely bitter about that fact.

Whipping around, the mother walked away, telling Randy sharply, "You handle this! I'm too old to deal with these things anymore."

Once she had disappeared from sight, Randy sighed. After a moment of thinking, he finally said, "Just give me 50 copper."

Looking into the bag hesitantly, she began counting out the coins. Fortunately, they were copper coins. Unfortunately, there were only 35.

"That's all I have." Regina told Randy, hoping he would just give up and let her leave.

He was not sympathetic, however, "How 'bout your friend? She got any?"

If only for show, Regina turned around to ask Emma. Only, she was not there anymore. It was only the crowd, passing without any care.

"Did you see where she went?" she asked Randy, quickly turning around to face him. He shook his head while growling, "That bitch!" He was definitely not going to let her off the hook.

Not caring anymore, Regina took off. Randy yelled after her and gave chase, but he quickly lost sight of her as she disappeared into the crowd. Once he was gone, she started calling out for Emma. Who, of course, did not answer.

Without knowledge of the town, or which direction Emma took, Regina had to guess which way to go. So, she chose a random direction and moved as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the crowd began to grow thicker, making her movements feel impossibly slow.

As she moved through the town, Regina ran into Ruby. The younger woman had managed to scrounge up some money as well, and was on her way to the meeting spot. She joined Regina in her search. Together they managed to pick up Emma's trail.

As they pushed their way through the crowd, Ruby tried to figure out what was going on, "So, why did she run off?" She asked.

Regina followed closely behind her, and hesitantly said, "I'm not entirely sure. I think… I believe it was a combination of several things." She really did not want to talk about this right now.

But Ruby did not know, or did not care. "You don't think… that maybe… the curse is getting worse?" It clearly pained her to say that

Regina was unable to answer, however, because a commotion came from up ahead, distracting her. Several people were yelling, and one voice was very familiar. Regina and Ruby locked eyes before they pushed their way to the front of the crowd that had formed.

Once they broke free from the crowd, they saw Emma. Her hair was all over the place, adding a wildness to the crazed look she wore. She was also standing over a man, hands gripping his shirt, and yelling loudly at him.

"That is not how it happened! It was her!" She shook him harshly.

Regina narrowed her eyes in irritation before answering Ruby's earlier question, "It would seem it is getting worse."
