The heart of fire
My name is James and I was a normal boy but there was always something different about me. I could take tempters way above the norm and way below. At first I thought any one could do this but when a fire broke out at my apartment complex I ran in without any water or blankets. The smoke bothered me a little but not enough that it made me choke. I found some people stuck in a bedroom. I could not move the door when a horrible sound made me look up and a lot of debris hit me and that was the last thing I saw before it hit me.
A week later
I woke up in a hospital and there where several other people in the ward I could tell by the smell it was the burn ward. At first I could not tell why I was in the hospital but then I remembered the fire and the collapsing roof I noticed that under the sheets the bed was blackened like a fireball had hit it. My body was fine no burns or scrapes in fact I felt great better than I had in weeks. Strangely my entire body was hotter than it used to be but inside my body was freezing. I looked around and found a girl in purple in the bed next to mine she seemed as healthy as I was. Little did I know she had come into save me and every one else but the smoke made her pass out that was when my power manifested and saved every one else though I was out cold. Ironically that was probably a good thing for if I had been awake I would have lost control and would have hurt all those people as for the girl she was waking up.
Girls POV
"Wow what hit me" she looked around and found her self in a hospital where the hospital was beat the hell out of her but there was the boy she had tried to save he looked fine.
"Hey there are you ok" the boy was looking at her with concern in his eyes and she noted that he was trying to get up.
"Hey don't do that you could hurt your self worse than you are" the boy just looked at her with a sort quizzical look.
"But I'm not hurt at all I'm fine better in fact" he then tied the sheet in an intricate weave and did a single handed handstand and flipped back to standing.
