What's this? Two chapters of a Creamulon fic written less than a month apart from each other? Is this a sign of things to come?

HAH! No, this fic is just really easy to write and I've been on a Yugioh kick recently, so I banged this chapter out in like 3 days. Fear my writing speed, peasants. Seriously, early GX is just a bunch of set up followed by duels.

A Restrictive Game is still my main focus, but this fic might take precedence over Soul Games.

I'll be updating the first chapter as well, since I made a few mistakes. I was originally going to use the Japanese names for every character, and not all of the Japanese names were replaced.

Alright, enough bullshit, you soggy bastards came here to read a shitty Yugioh fanfic, didn't you?

Day 1 at Duel Academy Island and I'm already confused. Why didn't chancellor Shepard make his orientation announcements in person? What was the point of using a giant screen to project himself from his office?

Whatever, I had my lame yellow jacket and that's all that mattered. Seriously, these things hurt to look at.

Well, not always. You see, unlike in the anime, female students aren't just automatically sorted into Obelisk Blue. There are quite a few Slifer Red and Ra Yellow girls walking around, and I was absolutely feasting on the sights they gave me.

What? I'm 15 for crying out loud! even in my past life I wasn't much older. Besides, I wasn't the only one perving out. Lots of guys were enjoying the almost criminally short skirts the girls were wearing.

Still, I can't let the horny consume me, I've seen where that leads.

After getting my fill of skimpy schoolgirls I decided to walk around, get a feel for the place, you know? I totally wasn't geeking out over being at Duel Academy, no sir!

Okay, I was totally geeking out, but can you blame me? Playing Yugioh with holograms and going to school for it was a childhood dream come true! The best part? I don't even have to put up with shitty 2004 technology, since it was the current year 2014 and KaibaCorp revolutionized the tech industry with their solid vision technology over a decade ago.

It's only 2014, but smartphones and tech in general are even more advanced than they were back in my past life.

So, I walked around the campus, occasionally stopping to check the guidebook on the student help app before finding myself at a duel arena. It was a community dueling arena, one that's free to use so long as you reserve it.

I don't really understand the point of a duel arena when we have duel disks beyond having an easier time gathering a crowd, but if you can't gather a crowd on your own in a world where everyone and their mother plays Duel Monsters, then you must be as dry as a piece of cardboard.

Well, I might as well check the place out anyway since I'm here. Who knows? Maybe they have a snack booth? I am getting pretty hungry after all.

And so, it was with a tray of Nachos in one hand and a drink in the other that I stumbled upon Jaden and Syrus chatting shit with Chazz and his goons.

The tension that had been building (At least on the Obelisk's side) was promptly broken as my snacking reached the arguing students.

Whoops.

"Oh great! Now we have a Ra Reject to go with the Slifer Slackers! This is the BLUE DORM'S Duel Arena! Are you blind or something?" Chazz berated me while pointing at the Obelisk imagery, his goon squad backing him up.

I wish I had a goon squad.

Taking a sip of my lemonade to wash down the nachos I was noshing on, I take my time staring this motherfucker down, visibly unnerving him, before I respond.

"This is a community Dueling Arena, you blue bastard. Anyone can use it, not just Obelisk Blue students, or did you not read the student guidebook?" I informed him like the dumbass he is, taking another loud sip of my lemonade just to get on his nerves.

"HEY!" One of his orbiters cried out. "You can't talk to him like that!"

"Why not? You gonna do something about it? You gonna teach me a lesson with your prep school degree? OoOoh! I'm SOOO scared of the assholes that went to school to learn how to TriBuTe Summon! Get bent, you pedantic nerd." I egged him on in a mocking voice, wanting to see if the orbiter goon would do anything without his bosses permission.

"THAT'S IT!" Chazz's Goonie yelled, his thin patience finally worn out. "You! Me! Duel! Now!" He exclaimed, activating his blue academy issue duel disk.

"Not so fast Mototani! The welcome dinner is in 20 minutes and I got saddled with making sure you three weren't late." Hello beautiful~

Alexis Rhodes, the Cyber Angel herself. She even brought her own goon squad and they were looking mighty fine too.

"Nah, sorry Alexis, but this dork needs to be taught a lesson. Don't worry though, Raizou will tear this poser down to size before you can even say Obelisk." Chazz smugly told the Obelisk girl.

"Obelisk!" Jaden announced, earning him puzzled looks from the rest of us.

"Are we going to duel or not! I figured with all of that talk earlier, you were down to throw down!" Raizou smack talked.

"Sure man, I'm down. In fact? This is perfect! I was looking for a goon to put down, and here you are! So eager to get your ass whooped!" I smack talked back, but better 'cuz I'm cool like that.

Activating my duel disk I decide to stick with the dickhead role I'm currently in, since it fits the deck I'm about to use well enough.

With a sigh, Alexis and her friends sat down, resigned to their fate of watching two jerks play a card game.

Taking a glance in their direction, the brunette scoffed once our eyes met, as expected, but the black haired chick gave me a playful smile and wink, which I happily returned.

"Draw!" The duel already started?

"You're in for it now, punk! I activate Upstart Goblin, which lets me draw one card, but in return, you gain 1000 life points! Not that it's gonna matter!" Pot of greed is apparently pretty hard to find and expensive to boot, so most duelists usually settle for cards like Upstart Goblin.

"Now I summon Muka Muka in attack mode!" He announced, as a rock-crab-insect thing took its place on the field.

"My Muka Muka gains 300 ATK points for every card in my hand, and I have 5! Guess what that means?" Raizou rhetorically asked with a smug grin as his monster swelled in size and ATK points.

"Now I set two cards face down and end my turn!" Raizou set his cards, reducing Muka Muka to 1500 ATK points.

"My move! Draw!" Alright, let's see what I got here.

Not bad~

"I summon Beast King Barbaros in attack mode! I can summon him without a tribute, but his ATK points are reduced to 1900." And out came the Beast King himself, a centaur with a lion's body instead of a horse's wielding a great lance and a round shield.

"Beast King Barbaros, attack his Muka Muka!" I ordered, and my beast obeyed, charging the rock monster down.

"I activate two copies of Reckless Greed! Which lets me draw two cards each, so long as I skip my next two draw phases!" And just like that, Muka Muka was at 2700 ATK points and had grown even larger than my reduced Beast King.

I wasn't stressing though.

"I activate the quick-play spell, Forbidden Chalice! This card lets me increase the ATK points of one monster on the field by 400 points! I choose my Beast King Barbaros!"

"Like that's gonna change anything. My Muka Muka still has more ATK points!" Raizou berated me, assured in his assessment.

"Look again." I instructed the oblivious Obelisk, who looked at the field, only to see a 3400 ATK Barbaros rushing at his weaker Muka Muka with the intent to kill.

"What?! But how?!" Raizou asked, confused.

"Oh, did I forget to mention? Forbidden Chalice negates the effects of the monster it targeted until the end of the turn." I told him as Barbaros mowed down his Muka Muka, decreasing his life points by 700.

Yuji: 5000
Raizou: 3300

"Now I'll set three cards and call it a turn, and since Beast King Barbaros' effect only activates on summon, his ATK points stay at 3000. Your move."

"Because of Reckless Greed, I can't draw for two turns, but don't think that'll save you! I activate my face down, Call of the Haunted to bring back my Muka Muka, but he won't be staying for long! I tribute Muka Muka to summon Enraged Muka Muka in attack mode!"

It was just Muka Muka with a glowing orb in its throat and 1200 ATK points.

"Enraged Muka Muka gains 400 ATK points for every card in my hand, and I'm counting six! Which means my monster gains 2400 ATK points!" That means his new Muka Muka was stronger than even my Beast King.

"Muka Muka, attack Beat King Barbaros! Magma Spit!" Raizou ordered, and Muka Muka obeyed, shooting a beam of molten rock at Barbaros.

"I activate Skill Drain, negating the effects of all monsters on the field!" Which brought that Muka Muka of his down to size. The best part? I did that in the middle of an attack, which meant he was going to crash his monster into my Barbaros and take 1800 points of damage.

"I activate Mystical Space Typhoon and use it to destroy your Skill Drain!" Raizou activated his card in a panic, relieved that he was able to avert a disaster.

"Not so fast! I counter with Magic Jammer! By discarding one card, I can negate Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy it!" So Skill Drain remained on the field and Raizou lost 1800 life points.

Yuji: 4000
Raizou: 1500

"Damnit! You Ra Reject! I set one card face down and end my turn." Raizou whimpered like a chump.

"That's it? Well, even a play like that was more than I expected from someone who can't even read a guidebook. Draw!"

"Beast King Barbaros, attack for game! Lion Lord's Lance!" If I know anything about this game, then that face down is most likely-

"You dumbass! I activate my trap card, Mirror Force. Say goodbye to your Beast King!"

-something that can stop an attack. If only I had a face down that could stop a card like that… Oh wait, I do!

"I activate Trap Jammer to counter Mirror Force! When my opponent activates a Trap Card during the battle phase, I can negate the activation and destroy it!"

Trap Jammer did its thing and stopped Mirror Force, leaving me with a straight shot at Raizou which Barbaros took to win the game.

Nice.

Turning to Chazz and his other goon I do the most appropriate thing I can think of in this situation.

I started talking shit.

"DURR! DON'T WORRY ALEXIS! RAIZOU WILL TEAR DIS POSER DOWN TO SIZE! DURRR!" I mocked Chazz in the dumbest voice I could think of while staring the seething Obelisk down.

"Nice one, dude!" Adoring fan #1 AKA Jaden Yuki congratulated me as he came down from the stands.

"Yeah, that was great, Bro!" Adoring fan #2, Syrus Truesdale confirmed my greatness. Also, 'Bro'? I knew he called Jaden that in the Japanese dub, but to call me that too? I'm touched.

"Those were some smooth moves, cutie!" Oho~? Was that a flirt I sensed? And from the bubbly noirette no less? Today's my lucky day!

"The smoothest, but when I have a girl like you in the audience, there was no way I was gonna settle for less." I flirted back.

"Aww~ Stop it, you're gonna make me blush!" She chastised with a giggle, oblivious to my soul strangling internal struggle. "My name's Mindy by the way, Mindy Hamaguchi." She introduced herself, reaching a hand out.

"Yuji Rengoku, a pleasure." I introduced myself back, taking her soft hand into my own.

"We should totally hang out sometime! I'll give you my number!" She declared, and I was all for it. Getting a cute girl's number within a minute of meeting her? That's a new record for me.

"Totally." I agreed as we exchanged contact info.

"I'll see you around, cutie!" Mindy waved as she went back to her friends, who were taking Chazz and his goons away, presumably to the Obelisk welcoming dinner. She put an extra sway into her hips that I couldn't tear my eyes away from.

"Sure thing, hot stuff!"

"Wow…!" Syrus exclaimed. "Can you teach me how to do that?"

"Fake it till you make it buddy, fake it till you make it. Anyway, I'll catch you guys later! I have a date with a tray of Nachos!" I told the Slifer duo as I looked around for my snacks.

I found my lemonade, but where did my nachos go?

"Ah, sorry buddy, but watching people duel always makes me hungry, and that salsa looked so good, you know?" Jaden apologized, admitting to a crime that I didn't even know was committed.

"Cough up the DP, or things are gonna get ugly." I threatened, all of my mercy leaving me at the thought of my poor nachos.

-The Greatest Showman-

The Ra Yellow welcoming dinner was great, almost great enough to make me forget that the snack booth was closed after Jaden paid up for the nachos he stole from me.

The company? Eh, it was okay. The other Ra Yellow students fell into three groups; The Obelisk Wannabes, the 'How-are-they-not-in-Slifer?' kids, and the students that really should be in the Obelisk dorm, but aren't because they didn't go to some shitty prep school.

I'm not salty.

After the initial meet and greet dinner, most of us went over to the massive common room, where we played games, chatted with each other and exchanged deck building tips.

I was currently on the balcony, chatting up a tan brunette named Yumi Yoshizawa, who plays a hand destruction lockdown deck with cards like Thestalos the FIrestorm Monarch and Thousand-Eyes Restrict.

She was one of the students that really should have been in Obelisk.

"Have you considered adding Mefist the Infernal General to your deck?" I asked her, since that would give her another way to shave her opponents hand down.

"I have, but it's not worth tributing another monster just for 1800 ATK points that anyone can climb over." Yumi said, deeming the effort not worth it. Honestly, I can see why, however…

"Who says you have to tribute summon it? If you can get a card like Magic Jammer or Back to Square one into your deck, then you can discard Mefist to get their effects off and just bring it back with Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted."

"Like you did in the entrance exams? That's not a bad idea at all." She considered.

"You saw that?" I asked her, curious.

"In person, but even if I didn't, someone recorded it and by now the whole academy probably saw you OTK that proctor." Yumi informed me.

"So, I'm guessing a lot of people are gonna be gunning for me, huh?" It's the end of middle school all over again.

"Pretty much." Yumi confirmed, taking a sip of her soda.

"Cool." I stated in response.

"Cool." Yumi mimed back, a smile on her face.

We talked for a little while longer before the party ended and we all went to bed. The party would have gone on well into the night if we didn't have classes in the morning. I honestly didn't expect to have as much fun as I did.

-The Greatest Showman-

It was my first day attending classes at Duel Academy, and honestly? It wasn't the subject matter that I wasn't impressed by, since it was the first day and all, but rather, it was the teachers.

My first class of the day was Basic Duel Training, which I had with the rest of the main cast it seemed. Yumi was also there, so I sat with her. Crowler was just as obnoxious as he was in the first season, although to his credit, he took his job very seriously when he wasn't bashing the Slifer dorm and was eager to answer whatever questions his students had, even if they were Slifers.

The poor Slifer kid that went up to him to ask about one of the units on the syllabus was shaking in his boots, fully expecting to be berated, but Crowler was almost overjoyed to see a studious Slifer for once.

In his own words, he was going to turn that slacker into a proper duelist.

I guess his problem was with slackers more than it was with the Slifer dorm as a whole. Well, slackers and Jaden, I suppose, but Jaden fits the description of a slacker to a T.

P.E was interesting, and by interesting I mean our teacher was hot. She introduced herself as Fonda Ayukawa, which was a mix of her English Dub and Japanese Dub names, and believed in leading by example, which meant I got to watch her do jumping jacks.

Next was Algebra, taught by that one guy Bastion beat in his entrance exam, Professor… Huh, I forgot his name.

After that was Card Design, taught by the head of the Ra Yellow dorm, Professor Sartyr. This was the class I was looking forward to the most. Being able to take credit for creating cards from my past life was going to be all kinds of fun.

The only face I recognized in this class was Mindy, who waved me down to sit next to her. I noticed an open sketchbook with suspiciously familiar drawings of stuffed animals and sharp objects with eyes.

Huh, I guess she's aiming to be a card designer.

Honestly, I think Card Design might end up being my favorite class. A cute girl who might be into me, an excuse to bring cards from the future into existence and be hailed as a savant, what more can a guy ask for?

After Card Design was lunch, which I spent with Yumi and Bastion, who went to bed early yesterday.

The last classes of the day were English and History, which were okay I guess. It's too early to really tell what those classes would be like, but they were shaping up to be pretty forgettable all things considered.

As I was walking out of the main Academy building I spotted Syrus, who was pacing back and forth with an excited look on his face.

"Dude, if you keep pacing around with that look on your face, someone's gonna call security on you." I teased him, which put his pacing to a stop.

"BRO! Guess what? Your advice worked! I tried to be more confident in class today and I got a love letter in my locker!" Advice? OH! Fake it till you make it, that's what I told him.

Hold up, a love letter? Isn't that a fake letter Crowler mad to get Jaden in trouble?

"Can I see it?" I requested, and Syrus quickly handed it over.

Yup, it's fake alright. Crowler spelled Alexis wrong, the dumbass.

"So, I wanted to ask you where I should take her for our first date, since you're experienced with this kind of stuff. I would have asked Jaden, but something tells me he isn't the suave type like the two of us are, you know? I was thinking about a picnic by the-" "Syrus." I interrupted his daydreaming.

"It's fake, dude. Also, it's addressed to Jaden." I hated to break it to the poor kid, but it's better than him getting… Sat on by three hot girls that just came out of the bath. Huh, maybe it was better to let things play out as they would have?

Well, it's too late for that now.

"I-it is? Aww man, I knew it was too good to be true." Syrus moaned, taking the letter back and looking it over again.

"Chin up man, your time will come, trust me. You know, a lot of girls like shota types." I cheered him up as I called Mindy.

"Miss me already?" She teased after she picked up.

"You know it!" I flirted before my brain could catch up to my mouth.

"But, this isn't entirely a social call. That blonde friend of yours, Alexis I think her name is?" And now I was entering dangerous territory.

"Yes…" Mindy responded with a dangerous edge in her voice.

"I think someone's trying to impersonate her. A friend of mine got a fake love letter from someone claiming to be her."

"And how do you know it's fake?" She asked, calmer now that she knows I'm not trying to use her to get with her friend.

"Well," I began. "Unless her name has TWO L's in it, then something tells me the letter is fake. If she is one of those kids whose parents hate them enough to do something like that, then tell her I'm sorry for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong."

"No need, it's a fake." Mindy confirmed from directly behind me.

Why do people like to sneak up on me so much?

"Good to know, and might I say, you're looking even better now than you did in class."

God dammit, why do I always do this? It's not like I want to act like this, the words just come out, I swear!

"Aww you~! C'mere!" Mindy gushed, wrapping her arms and legs around my neck and hips and hanging off of me like a monkey. Caught by surprise, I wrapped my arms around her waist to keep her up

I have no idea why she's so affectionate after only knowing me for a day, but you won't see me complaining.

A fake cough caught my attention though, making me focus on Alexis and her other friend who isn't currently rubbing her soft body against me.

"How's it going?" I asked them, still holding Mindy against me.

If she doesn't want to stop, then I won't stop.

"Well, I just found out that someone's using my name to start trouble, and they couldn't even be bothered to spell it right." Alexis snarked at me. Fair enough, I suppose.

"Yeah, that'd mess with anyone's day, but hey, at least nothing bad ended up happening." I reminded her.

"I suppose I have you to thank for that?" Alexis asked me. Her brunette friend was off to the side looking like she just swallowed a lemon.

"I guess so. I just didn't want this whole thing to blow out of proportion ya know?" I smiled at her, turning the charm up to 11.

For once, I was doing it on purpose.

"Uh-huh, and you just so happened to stumble onto this kid, who just so happened to have an obviously fake love letter signed from Alexis?" The brunette asked with a disbelieving tone.

"What do you want me to say? That's exactly what happened." So this is gonna be one of those days huh?

"Well excuse me if I don't believe you. Do you not get how suspicious this all sounds? What if this is some ploy to get close to Alexis?" She kept pushing, visibly hostile.

"Uh, I'm not sure if you noticed, but I'm plenty close with Mindy here, so I'm good on that front." I told her, holding Mindy close to me to get my point across.

"Yeah? Well, I don't believe you, so what are you gonna do about that?" Oh god, does she want me to duel her or something?

"I dunno man, you wanna duel over it or something? Is that why you're being so annoying right now?" The devious smile that took root on her devious face told me all I needed to know about her devious plans.

"Well, if you insist, fine! I'll duel you, but go crying after I beat you into the dirt." She mocked, pulling her duel disk out of her back and activating it.

"UUUUUGH! Fine, let's get this over with. Syrus, if anyone starts betting on the duel, I want you to put 1000 DP on me. Hell, take another 1000 for yourself." I told him as I wired the DP over to him.

"H-huh? Well, okay." Syrus agreed, the meek slifer taking out his phone to check his DP account.

Now which deck should I use? Oh~ That one looks fun!

Slotting the deck into my duel disk, it auto shuffles, and I draw my starting hand. At this point Mindy's gotten off of me and is standing with Alexis.

"You know, I noticed you always go second whenever you duel, so being the magnanimous OBELISK BLUE student I am, I'll let you go first for once. Aren't I the sweetest?" The brunette who's name I still don't know mocked me once again.

"As sweet as sour milk." I retort as I draw.

"Alright, to start things off, I activate The A. Forces! Which increases the ATK points of all warrior monsters on my side of the field by 200 for every Warrior and Spellcaster type monster I have on the field!" Normally I'd never seriously play a card like this, but this is GX, where the protagonist routinely summoned Elemental Hero Avian in attack mode, so I don't have much to worry about from some Obelisk.

"Now I summon Marauding Captain in attack mode!" The iconic blonde warrior appeared on my field, ready to fuck someone's day up with his massive 1200 ATK points.

"When Marauding Captain is normal summoned, I can special summon one level 4 or lower monster from my hand! I special summon Command Knight in attack mode!" A female knight in red armor and a winged helmet appeared on my field, ready to help Marauding Captain fuck someone's day up with her equally titanic 1200 ATK points.

"But the show's just beginning!" I announced with a dramatic flare, noticing the crowd that's formed around our duel.

A Slifer girl was taking bets and Syrus was placing my bet for me.

"Command Knight has an effect too, you see! My knight takes charge of all the other Warrior monsters on my side of the field, boosting their efficiency AND their ATK points by 400!" At that, a flaming aura surrounded Command Knight, before spreading to Marauding Captain, increasing their ATK points.

"Not only that, but since I have two warriors on my side of the field, their ATK points are increased by another 400 thanks to The A. Forces." A wave of energy washed over my monsters, further enhancing them.

"I'll set two one card face down, and call it a turn. Your move, girl-who's-name-I-don't-know." I ended.

"Wait, you don't know my name? It's Jasmine! Jasmine Makurada! You'd better remember it!" Ah, Jasmine! That's her name. Good to know.

"DRAW!" Jasmine announced, angrily drawing a card from her deck. I wonder what kind of deck she plays?

"I summon Sonic Duck in attack mode!" A large green duck wearing a bucket for a hat and a pair of red stockings as a scarf made its way onto the field.

"Next, I equip my duck with United We Stand, increasing its attack points by 800 for every monster on my side of the field." That could be a problem.

My only face downs are Wiretap and Call of the Haunted, which won't do shit against Sonic Duck, or the equip spell buffing it

"Sonic Duck, attack his Command Knight!" Jasmine ordered, fully confident that her attack would go through… Only for nothing to happen.

"Huh? Hey, what gives?!" She loudly complained, which got an honest laugh out of me.

"When Marauding Captain's face-up on the field, you can't target other warrior type monsters for attacks." I educated her in the smuggest voice perceivable to human ears.

"Wha? Fine! Attack his Marauding Captain." And for the first time in over a month, I lost life points. 500 to be exact.

Jasmine: 4000
Yuji: 3500

"Now I'll set one card face down and end my turn." Jasmine ended, visibly proud of her strong start if the grin she wore was any indication.

"DRAW!" Mystical Space Typhoon, nice. "I summon Queen's Knight in attack mode!" Another female knight in red armor appeared, this time a blonde in much skimpier armor, though with how much Command Knight's covering up, that isn't saying much.

"Next, I activate Royal Flush, which lets me add one "'s Knight" from my deck to my hand! I choose King's Knight! Then, if I have a "'s Knight" on my side of the field, I can special summon one LIGHT Warrior type monster from my hand or graveyard. I choose King's Knight!" Now, a burly knight in gold and orange armor came onto the field.

"When King's Knight is normal or special summoned, I can special summon a Jack's Knight from my hand, deck, or graveyard! I'm taking one from my deck and bringing it out onto the field! Come, Jack's Knight!" The last Poker Knight was on the field, a tall knight in blue armor. Jack's Knight readied himself for battle and turned to nod at me, which I returned.

"Thanks to The A. Forces, all of my monsters gain 800 ATK points on top of the 400 Command Knight gives them." I informed Jasmine, who was surprisingly okay with that information.

Hand traps other than Honest don't exist yet, trust me, I checked. Any trap card she activates will get hit by Wiretap, so all that leaves are spell cards. Eh, it's worth the risk.

"Jack's Knight, attack Sonic Duck!" I commanded my knight, and he obeyed, launching himself at Sonic Duck, sword poised to make a meal out of that duck.

"I activate Scapegoats!" wut?

All of a sudden, four sheep tokens lit up Jasmine's side of the field, boosting Sonic Duck's ATK points by a further 3200, all the way up to 5700.

If I wasn't me, then that would do some major damage.

"I activate Mystical Space Typhoon, and use it to destroy United We Stand!" I dramatically announced, activating the face down card, firmly cementing my place as Jasmine's least favorite person today.

"What?!" Jasmine shouted as her equip spell went up in a tornado, never to be seen again.

The attack went through, and Jasmine suddenly found herself 1500 life points shorter.

Yuji: 3500
Jasmine: 2500

"Now, attack her sheep tokens!" I commanded my other monsters, leaving a single lonely sheep at the end of it.

Poor little guy.

"That move with Scapegoats was pretty good!" I complimented, ending my turn.

"Thanks! Don't think flattery will get you anywhere though, because it's my move!" Jasmine shot back, a fire in her eyes as she drew her card, smiling once she saw it.

"I activate Pot of Greed! I'm sure I don't need to tell you what this card does, do I?" Jasmine asked cheekily as she drew her cards. The grin on her face became even wider once she got a good look at them.

"I activate fissure! This card lets me destroy your monster with the lowest ATK points, Say goodbye to Command knight!" The ground split open beneath Command Knight, swallowing her whole before sealing itself up, taking my knight along with 600 ATK points from my other monsters.

"Now I activate Premature Burial, letting me bring my Sonic Duck back from the grave! My cute ducky won't be staying for long though, since I'm tributing it to bring out Raiza The Storm Monarch!" Sonic Duck was surrounded by a fierce tornado, and when it subsided, a monster in green armor with a bird-like helm took its place.

And when he's tribute summoned, I can target one card on the field, and put it on the top of their owner's deck! I choose your Jack's Knight! Tornado Relocation!" Jasmine played, not only bringing out a powerful monster, but also leaving my other knights weakened by another 200 ATK points.

Yuji: 3500
Jasmine: 1700

"Now, attack his Queen's Knight, my monarch! Tempest Storm!" Jasmine ordered.

Shit, what can I do? Wait… Call of the Haunted!

"I activate Call of the Haunted, and use it to bring back my Command Knight!" Command Knight came back from the graveyard, boosting my monsters ATK points by a total of 600 thanks to her effect and The A. Forces.

Queen's Knight was sitting pretty at 2500 ATK points, enough to put Jasmine's Monarch in its place.

"Damnit!" Jasmine moaned as her Raiza was put down by Queen's Knight.

Yuji: 3500
Jasmine: 1600

"I'll set one card, and end my turn. Your move." Jasmine announced, a frustrated expression on her face.

"DRAW!" Jack's Knight, no surprise there.

"I activate Threatening Roar! Now you can't declare an attack this turn. Too bad, so sad!" Jasmine mocked with a smile on her face, none of the bite she had before in her tone.

"Time for an info leak! I activate Wiretap! Negating your trap card and shuffling it back into your deck! Keep going, Command Knight!"

Sweet. Duel Academy students really are a cut above the rest, huh?

"That was a great duel! Way better than whatever that Raizou guy was doing!" I congratulated Jasmine as I walked up to her, the crown dispersing after bets were paid out, most of it being done digitally. Syrus was quick to send it over to me.

Seems like most people were betting on Jasmine if the massive payout was anything to go by. Still, 7:1 odds in her favor? Either she was well known back in that prep school of hers, or Duel Academy classism just went that deep.

"Oh please, like being better than Raizou is some kind of accomplishment! Still, I'll take the compliment." Jasmine said, in a much better mood now that the duel was over.

"You two were so great!" Mindy gushed, bringing us both into a hug.

She's great.

"That was one heck of a duel. I'm surprised you can perform so well with so many decks." Alexis congratulated, fishing for information as she did so.

"I'm just that good, I guess." I bragged, and even Jasmine cracked a smile at that. She was strangely mellow now. Mindy eased up on the hug, choosing to wrap her arm around me from the side, and out of instinct I did the same to both her AND Jasmine.

Instead of getting angry about it or something, Jasmine leaned in.

Alright, I could buy the whole 'I'm just trying to rile you up and don't have any real problems with you' thing, but this?

Something weird's going on, but when two hot schoolgirls are pressing up against me? I couldn't be bothered to care.

"Well, now that we're all free, y'all wanna get some ice cream? My treat." Everyone loves ice cream, so at the very least, Mindy will take me up on my offer.

"I'm down!" Mindy nodded.

"I can go for some ice cream." Jasmine agreed, acting more like her canon self.

"Well, if you're buying, I don't see why not." Alexis consented.

And so we walked off to the shopping area, where the ice cream parlor was located, among other businesses like the Card shop, which was by far the most popular.

Mindy and Jasmine were still clinging onto me, drawing many a jealous eye. Used to having eyes on me, I put on my best playboy act, smiling and nodding at anyone that stared too long, embarrassing them into minding their own business.

This new life of mine was finally beginning.

(Syrus)

After nearly losing his mind over how much DP he now owned, Syrus looked around for Yuji, only to see him walk off with two Obelisk blue girls clinging to him, one of which he just got through schooling in a duel, and Alexis Rhodes, the girl he thought had a crush on him.

"Awww man… Some guys have all the luck, I swear." Syrus moaned as he shuffled back to the Slifer dorm.

'I wonder what Jaden's doing?' Syrus thought, hoping to do something fun with his other bro today.

'Maybe he can teach me how to get better at dueling?' Now that was an idea! If he got as good as Jaden and Yuji, then Syrus would have girls clamoring for his attention, the same way they did for Yuji and his older brother Zane!

Now much more enthused, the diminutive Slifer walked back to his dorm room with a pep in his step, eager to work his way to the top and claim the rewards that were waiting for him.

Ooooh~ Yuji finally with a duel spirit? Who could it possibly be~? Maybe he bonded with multiple? Woooooow! so suspenseful!

All jokes aside, I'll go more in depth on Jasmine's sudden change in character after Yuji beat her next chapter. I'm fully expecting some dumbass to completely skip over this part and leave a review complaining about her sudden shift in character.

Yuji's a bit different here than he was in the first chapter, that's because I'm still trying to figure out what I want him to be. He's an entertainer at heart, but he's also got a sharp tongue for those who annoy him, like Chazz and his goon squad.

If any of you Dorkus' were wondering who Yumi Yoshizawa is, she's a character from the Tag Force games. With how many characters there are in the Yugioh and games, I don't think I'll ever have to use a full on OC.

There was probably more I wanted to say, but I forgot. If anything I'll make an emergency edit to the chapter if it's important.
