Takes place after the hospital scene between Grissom and Greg. I own nothing, except Charli. No flames please!!!
"I'm sure that when you tell her that you saved another mans life, she'll be very proud," Grissom shortly replied
"My mom's gonna kill me," Greg countered, his voice breaking.
"Your mom is NOT gonna kill you," a femanine voice said from the doorway, "Stop thinking like a 12 year old."
Grissom turned and moved to the left side so Greg could see who was in the door.
"Charli? When did you get here?" Greg questioned, seeing his girlfriend for the first time in months.
"Oh baby. What did you do?" The girl questioned as she walked over to the bed. She was fairly tall, black hair/brown eyes. She wasn't skinny but she wasn't large. Wearing jeans and a tee shirt, she looked up after taking Greg's hand. "You must be Grissom. Sara said you'd be here."
"Yes, that's me. And you are?"
"Charli. This is my girlfriend. Girlfriend, this is my boss," Greg said, shifting slightly in bed.
"It's very nice to meet you my dear. I've heard many things about you. Now, I"ll leave you two alone, I've got to get back work. Greg, don't forget to tell your parents." The older man smiled as he left the room.
"Care to tell me what happened?"
"How bout you tell me why you're here first."
"Is a girl not aloud to see her prince charming? And, no. I didn't waste $1500 just to see you."
"Oh jee, that makes me feel loved," Greg joked, playing with her fingers as he shifted again.
"I'm here for a conference. So, it's not my money that got my ticket." She smiled.
"Ahhh, I see. When do you go back? I'm in no condition to do anything. You might as well go to the conference and head back to Newfoundland."
"Shut up, Greg. When Sara called me I thought you were dead. Never, and I repeat NEVER scare me again. And plus...igottransferedsoinowworkhereinvegas"
"I'll try not to scare you. Wait, what did you say?"
"Uhh...I got transfered. I now work here in Vegas. And yes, social workers get transfered," Charli grinned.
"Yay. I'd be more excited if I could. Just really tired," he told her, stifling a yawn.
"That's alright, you go to sleep. That's what you need right now, me and sleep. Do you want me to call your mom?"
"Yea, just don't tell her about me as a CSI...that's my battle."
"Damn right it's your battle. You think I'm gonna tell Freida Sanders that you lied to here for the past year...ya right!"
"Haha very fun...ny" Greg got caught up in the moment, yawning and talking at the same time are not reccomended.
:Alright baby. Get some rest...I'll be here when you wake up," She smiled as she stood and placed her face over her boyfriends. "Now, where can I kiss you so it won't hurt?"
"My lips are fine...or at least I think they are," He cheekily replied.
They shared a kiss. Even though it was the most gentle they have ever kissed eachother, sparks flew. They had spent 9 months apart, and now with Greg injured..they had to be gentle.
"When I'm not here, you're gonna have it like you've never had it before."
"I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Now go to sleep."
Greg settled against his pillows as Charli softly stroke his hair on top of his head. Minutes later, Greg fell asleep. She was right where she wanted to be, no more of this running away from love. Greg was hers, she was his. They both knew Vegas was where they need to be, with eachother.
"Nothing's gonna get in the way of us again baby. Never," With a soft kiss, Charli got up and went to the door. Flipping her cell phone on she dialed a number.
"Frieda, it's Charli..." was what anyone heard as she took the call to Gregs mother outside.
