The Unenlightened Perspective
"White, white, white!" Chazz laughed to himself as he flung his similarly attired body onto the powdery substance that coated the lawn. The four Duel Academy students stared on dumbly.
"I'm cold," Bastion stated matter-of-factly.
"Me too," Syrus put in.
Bastion, Syrus, and Alexis walked back into the blessed warmth of the school while Jaden shook his head at the Princeton boy's hysterics.
"It's just snow, you know. What's the big deal?"
In a personal blizzard of confusion, Jaden followed after friends that could still be considered sane--Chazz still rolling around in the snowflakes that brought him such joy.
The "Enlightened" PerspectiveFools. They laugh at me—thinking that I'm the idiot. They just don't understand…
It was paradise. Clean, glittering white that sparkled over every blade of grass; transforming this dark, boring world into something truly spectacular. He wanted to explain this to his "friends," but he knew they wouldn't listen. Not until they embraced the snow—er—the light for themselves.
They were leaving. Finally.
Idiots! Go back to your halls of lies. I know where I'm needed.
Chazz eyeballed the snow again. A silly grin spread over his features right before he plunged his face right into it.
White.
Author's Note: An actual Humor fic! Usually, if it's not Angst or Drama, I'm not writing it. I got this idea while looking at a way too early Christmas display in the mall. And, the tree was white.
