Chapter 1011
Awesome
The small group waited at the isolated air strip. They could hear and feel the increasing thunderous sound as the plane neared.
It was a twin tailed, twin engine plane that approached. It was a B-25 Mitchell. The plane was low and looked like it was going to land. The landing gear was down and then retracted as the plane neared the landing strip. The sound of the engines increased as the pilots decided to do a 'go around'.
Savannah was excited at the sight and sound of the B-25.
"Awesome." Savannah said.
Young Allison was just as thrilled.
"This is so cool." Young Allison said.
Cameron wanted the girls to know what was about to happen.
"They're going to 'cut the grass'." Cameron said. "It will be loud."
The B-25 did a high speed, low altitude flyby.
As soon as Savannah heard the plane she knew what it was even before she got a good visual look at it. She was ready to do everything on it from maintenance to fly it.
"Listen to those two R2600 engines work." Savannah said. "I want to do everything from putting the fuel in, to a simulated cold startup."
Cameron was pleased to see the 'spark' back in Savannah. Being with Young Allison and the upcoming Mitchell flight helped break her from the self created 'prison in her mind'. It was a 'prison in the mind' that she often found herself in. She was glad Savannah broke out of hers, at least for now anyway.
She was VERY pleased about several things. She was here with both of the girls and everyone seemed happy and on the same page.
The B-25 came around again and touched down. It taxied over to their location. The engines, even at idle, sounded like a race track full of uncorked 'muscle cars'. It pulled up, swung around and then shut down.
Savannah knew this plane would bring a lot of lookiloos at a regular airport and bring a lot of attention.
"I know why you picked this private runway." Savannah said. "You don't want to draw a crowd."
Cameron didn't mention she now owned this small airfield. It was part of her acquisition of everything she wanted to control. There would be several hangers built there and a 'hidden hanger' in the hillside nearby. The crew would be there next week after they finished up on the other one they were already building for her. They'd already finished two others. The goal was to have multiple staging areas for aircraft that would survive the initial attacks on Judgment Day and still be able to fly even with all the EMP activity that would occur. There were no microprocessors or computers on vintage Warbirds to be affected. The aircraft were still just as deadly as the day they were designed. They were designed to kill and nothing changed that. Not even time.
"These machines draw a lot of attention." Cameron said. "This plane is based at Van Nuys Airport for now. I know you saw it there. That's where I bought it from and we decided to keep it there for now because it was already known there. The change in ownership raised very few eyebrows. Everything stayed under the radar. As far as everyone knows, everything is still the same in regards to it."
Savannah actually thought she was going to fly this plane before. It turned out Cameron made different plans that day. In fact, it was just the other day. It seemed like it was months ago but it wasn't. It was just a few days ago. She'd wanted to check things out in better detail at Van Nuys. That hadn't happened yet.
"What else do you have there?" Savannah asked. "I know we saw some of the planes."
Cameron felt she'd given Savannah quite a few clues as to what to expect.
"You have the manuals…." Cameron said.
Cameron already provided Savannah with all the manuals and instructional videos for the budding Resistance Air Force.
Savannah studied all of them. Cammy always suggested she look at the material on the Mitchell the most often. That's what she'd done.
"I can hardly wait." Savannah said. "I feel like I know everything forwards and backwards about this aircraft."
It was clear that Savannah was excited.
THAT was what Cameron wanted to hear. She was sure Savannah wasn't thinking of her parents right now. She wasn't going to ask.
The look on Savannah's face and her demeanor were both very satisfying to Cameron. She was pleased that she'd been able to break Savannah out of the 'prison in her mind'. Those were never good places to be trapped in. Everything else didn't seem to matter except the one thing that the mind was focused on. It clouded one's judgment. It often led to bad decisions. She knew firsthand how complicated things could become.
She wanted Savannah to feel the love from both Young Allison and herself. She wanted Savannah to remember that there were those who cared about her and loved her just as much now as her parents did in the past. She knew they could never be substitutes for her parents but they could certainly be supplements. The love that Young Allison and she could share with Savannah would be both emotional and physical. There was a whole world waiting for all three of them to be explored. Well, there was John too.
John Henry followed all the drone footage. They possessed a big advantage now with the drone support, even if it was at high altitude. It wasn't long before trouble was spotted.
"Contact…." John Henry reported.
John Henry indicated one of the monitors. There were two sedans in the vicinity. It didn't look like it was anything Skynet related. It appeared to be another type of trouble.
"It looks like the Syndicate." John said. "It's two car loads of thugs."
John Henry wanted to repeat the same procedure that CamNet used previously.
"I think we can lead them to the same place we took out the other two sedans last night." John Henry said. "CamNet executed a brilliant plan."
John wasn't so sure it was only CamNet that came up with that plan. He was sure there was more than a little involvement from the Young bunker associated with all of that.
"Yeah – CamNet…." John said.
John wondered how many deaths Young Allison was actually responsible for. It must be more than a few dozen. It all depended on what she'd suggested to CamNet. He was sure it was quite a few dozen at this point.
It was actually a lot more than he'd even imagined.
John thought about the plan. There was a big difference between last night and today. They were in the middle of the day right now. He wasn't sure if he wanted any drones to drop down in altitude to come into the gun range of the two sedans if they could even lure them into the remote canyon on the way to the ocean.
"That was all in darkness." John said. "This isn't. I don't want the drones spotted this close to the city."
They wanted to draw the two sedans away from the old supermarket. Derek's team drove by the two sedans slowly and then quickly drove away from them and turned a corner. Two sedans immediately started up and began to follow them. It was what they'd wanted to happen.
John Henry made sure that communications were cut around the vicinity of the two sedans.
There were other things that were set in motion at the same time by CamNet.
The two sedans were in a relaxed pursuit of Derek's team. It appeared they were either awaiting further instructions which they couldn't receive or what they thought would be a good kill zone for them.
John Henry could see that the two sedans took the bait. He received new drone information from CamNet.
"They're tailing Derek now." John Henry said. "Both of the sedans are 'locked up' for a missile strike from fifty thousand feet."
John didn't want to do a missile strike in the city but to protect his team he would. That was only because the drones were there now and available. It isn't something he would have done on his own. He wasn't going to take any chances with his team.
"If they make a run on Derek's truck, burn them." John said.
John Henry noted a difference in John's attitude and willingness to strike. He wanted to double check with John to make sure of his decision. He wouldn't question it outright but he wanted it reaffirmed.
"That's not a call you would have made a few days ago." John Henry said.
John learned a few things from CamNet and the Young bunker in the last few days. He couldn't help but think of a book title that he needed to read for school. He thought it was something like, 'That was then, this is now.' Sometimes bold action needed to be taken to protect his troops. He couldn't help but think what Cameron looked like after she'd broken his mother out of jail. He thought of some of the other horrific damage that happened to her as well.
"That was a few days ago." John said. "I'm going to make sure my people are safe. I don't want the thugs to call in reinforcements."
John Henry didn't think that was going to be a problem. He double checked to make sure.
"I've blocked all communications from the moment you suggested a sucker play." John Henry said. "They have to do everything visually. They can't contact anyone. Whoever sent them doesn't even know where they're at currently. They only know where they were supposed to go."
John hoped that held up. If it did, there would be two more carloads of Syndicate thugs that disappeared from the face of the Earth without any explanation as to what happened to them. He was worried about any desperate attempts at communication. Someone might be able to give a description of Derek's truck and where they were headed.
"They may leave off a 'runner' to call for help or send a description of the vehicle." John said.
John Henry made sure the other teams that were headed there were close enough to assist if necessary. He knew that the first team would be there shortly. He didn't think anyone that got out of either of the sedans would get very far.
"We have more teams converging on the area. If anyone alights we will intercept them." John Henry said.
John didn't want to drag this out any longer than possible. He wanted to get it over with quickly. He felt the longer they waited, the bigger the threat would be to Derek's team. He was further irritated that they'd encountered the Syndicate thugs more and more.
"Have Derek lead them to the most isolated spot he can get to quickly and end this." John said. "We need to find a way to get the Syndicate out of our hair. We don't need them dogging us around here. We have enough trouble with Skynet as it is."
John Henry was aware that there was a plan that was ready to go forward.
Young Allison told CamNet when she called about Savannah earlier to fill John Henry in on her conversation with Anna about how to get the Syndicate out of the picture. She asked that both Cameron and John Henry hear the actual conversation. CamNet sent the information to both of them at that time. CamNet also said that Savannah wasn't yet made aware of the plan, so no action was to take place until that time.
"There may be a few things we can do." John Henry said. "I need to do some further research."
John saw the Syndicate as a serious threat. The biggest threat about them was the amount of thugs that the Syndicate could muster. It was way more personnel than they ever needed to worry about on any Skynet operation. If there was a plan, he wanted it enacted ASAP.
"As soon as you come up with something, do it." John said.
John Henry didn't think that would be a problem.
"I'll let you know." John Henry said.
CamNet acknowledged the receipt of the transmission. CamNet was ready to initiate Young Allison's plan to strike the Syndicate and the Cartels worldwide.
John Henry replayed the part about running it by Savannah BEFORE action was taken back to CamNet.
He received no response.
CamNet already started a limited campaign on her own. She knew what Young Allison wanted done. She already started to take the money. She was everywhere in both of the Syndicate's and the Cartel's computer systems. She took their money as fast as they could launder it. The goal was to get various families in the Syndicate to turn on each other as well as fight the Cartels. She wanted the various organizations of the cartels to fight each other as well as the Syndicate. The more they fought with each other the less time they would have to worry about some fringe operation and a few million dollars. The Syndicate already lost billions more from their bank accounts than they did from the few million that the Metal girls took from the Syndicate casino.
She'd heard what John said about initiating the plan as soon as it was ready. That was good enough for her. It was already initiated. She was ready to hit them hard.
Derek wasn't happy about the tail they'd picked up. They'd wanted to get the attention of the two sedans. They had.
Al looked in the side view mirror in back of them. He didn't want to turn around and look.
"I make four in each sedan." Al said.
Mel felt they were ready to engage the threat at any point in time. They had the weapons with them to do it.
"We have one M203 and an M79 with us." Mel said. "We can each put an HE round through their front windows."
Derek liked having the option to be able to defend themselves. He knew there was a more complicated plan in the works.
"Load up and be ready." Derek said. "I don't want to take any chances. If it looks like they're going to make a move to overtake us or even shoot at us, I want you both to act"
Al was in the front with Derek. He would fire out the passenger side window. Mel was in the rear seat, he would fire out the driver's side rear window from the dual cab pickup truck.
John wanted to reassure Derek that everything was under control. He was pleased with the latest developments.
"Derek, you have drone support and there are several other teams converging on you. We have one team tailing the sedans now." John said. "All their communications are blocked."
The message Derek received from John was welcome. He was still worried about the two men who set all of this into motion. He was sure they were all part of whatever was happening.
"What about the two homeless people that initiated this whole play?" Derek asked.
John Henry was able to direct one of the teams to the old supermarket after Derek led the two sedans away from the area.
"They've been picked up." John Henry said. "They're being 'questioned' now."
Derek was very displeased with the Syndicate involvement as well. He wanted something done about it. He was aware their motivation was money.
"We need to get this whole Syndicate angle out of the picture." Derek said. "We need to come up with a plan to make them mind their own affairs. We need to hit them where it hurts."
CamNet forward some ideas to John. She didn't stipulate where they originated from. She wanted him to know that she was ready to hit hard and hit hard worldwide. She reminded him that most likely those involved with the Syndicate and the Cartels would end up as Scavengers or Grays once Judgment Day occurred.
John looked over the information. He thought that would make a dent in the Syndicate for now. He didn't know for sure but he had a good feeling where this all originated from. If he thought Young Allison was responsible for a few dozen deaths before, he figured that was nothing. What was going to happen was going to result in thousands of deaths. So far CamNet presented the idea as her own doing since she would initiate it. He could understand why Young Allison wouldn't want her 'fingerprints' on what was about to happen.
"We're working on it." John said. "We have a few ideas to keep them busy and out of our hair."
CamNet monitored the calls and was ready. It was clear everyone was on board with Young Allison's plan. Well, almost everyone.
Vanna nursed Precious.
Cam watched her.
For Cam it was beautiful to watch Vanna. She'd spent many nights with Vanna where she would wake up from a dream shaking with terror or sometimes even screaming. To see her now was anything but that. She really wondered if that wasn't what Vanna actually needed now. She looked very content.
"You look so natural doing that." Cam said.
Vanna felt very relaxed and at peace with herself.
"It feels so natural too." Vanna said.
Cam could clearly see what Allison said and meant about Vanna.
"I know you really want to be a mother." Cam said. "It's written all over you. It radiates from you."
Vanna looked forward to being a parent. It wasn't going to be how she initially thought it would be but it was still going to happen.
"I do." Vanna said. "It'll have to be with Allison's baby. We're going to raise it together."
Cam wondered where that was going to leave Holly and her. She'd even discussed it with others before. No matter what she'd heard or was told, she was still very worried as to what would actually happen when that time came.
Vanna caught the look on Cam's face. She knew right away what was wrong.
"I know what you're thinking." Vanna said. "I can see it on your face."
Cam felt she should be worried. It did make the future for her less certain.
"It's a legitimate concern." Cam said.
Vanna decided to joke with her to lighten the mood some.
"Someone will need to help change diapers and do all the laundry." Vanna said. "I don't think either one of us will want to get up at night either."
Cam was more than willing to do that. She didn't sleep. She wanted to make herself valuable and worthwhile. She didn't want to be thrown away.
"I will." Cam said. "I'll do all of those things. I'll do whatever you want."
Vanna laughed. She could see Cam was totally serious. She honestly didn't think it would be a problem going forward. If anything, she looked forward to the availability of Holly as well. Allison usually kept a tight leash on Holly when it was time to share. She actually understood Allison's fears. Between all of the girls who were active, Allison was able to deliver the least amount of pleasure. She delivered plenty but she just wasn't as good as the other girls when it came down to it. She was still beautiful to be with. They were able to share more than just pleasure with each other. They were able to share themselves. There was true beauty in that. She wanted to give Cam some reassurance.
"We'll work something out for all four of us if you and Holly both agree." Vanna said. "I'm sure we can think of a few combinations and group ideas. You each have a tether as well…."
There was fear that lingered in Cam. As a Cameron clone she feared what Future John did to Cameron when he 'sent her away'. Maybe she should just ask and find out.
"You won't send me away will you?" Cam asked.
Vanna felt like Cam didn't hear a word she said. That was often the case when a Terminator was a little stressed out about something. They fixated on that one subject. It was very hard to get them off of it.
"Sometimes I wonder if you listen." Vanna said.
Cam tilted her head slightly. She quickly checked her audio input.
"I hear everything." Cam said.
Vanna felt there was a big difference between hearing and listening.
"I know that." Vanna said. "Sometimes I don't think you 'listen'. Nobody is going anywhere or being sent away unless that's what THEY want. We all love each other."
Cam was aware there were other players on the field.
"What about Jesse and Claire?" Cam asked. "That's going to affect Gail and Hanna as well."
Vanna saw it as the opportunity for more variety. Everyone knew who they belonged to at the end of the day.
"I can guarantee it will happen for me anyway." Vanna said. "That also means Gail and Hanna need some place to hang out or tether."
Cam could see there would be the opportunity for more frequent hookups. She also figured they would probably go out on more operations as well. If they weren't Resistance operations, they would probably be Cameron's 'off the books' operations.
"Not much will change." Cam said. "You and Allison will spend more time together."
Vanna was aware they were going to do a lot more things.
"We're going to go to more places and do more things too." Vanna said. "We will need all the protection we can get when we do that."
Cam thought that sounded like a big risk to everyone.
"That's not safe." Cam said.
Vanna felt they had an advocate with Savannah. Savannah made it very clear what she thought should happen going forward.
"Savannah TOLD me that's what we're going to do anyway." Vanna said. "She thinks children should have more choices available to them."
Cam tilted her head slightly as she thought about that.
Only Savannah and Young Allison were part of the 'Natural Order'. They were the two that needed the most protection.
"That shouldn't be a problem." Cam said.
Vanna could see Cam needed to ask the real question. It was the question that was obvious by the fact that it hadn't been asked, discussed or even hinted at.
"Ask it." Vanna said.
Cam did want to know but she didn't want to ask. Maybe she should.
"What about John?" Cam asked.
Vanna didn't think it should be an issue or a problem. Since John would be the father, he should be able to see his children whatever he wanted. That applied to Sarah and Kyle as well since it would be their grandchild.
"He can see his child any time he wants." Vanna said.
Cam understood that. That wasn't her main concern. Something else was.
"What about sharing his bed?" Cam asked.
Vanna still wanted that experience. She didn't want to worry Cam about it right now. She didn't know if she could be with a male voluntarily or not. She thought that she could in John's case. She was willing to give it a try anyway. Her main worry was that she might freeze up once intimate contact was made. She'd been ready to try it before and she was still ready. At this point she felt it all would be determined by circumstances.
"That will ONLY happen if we need to protect him after Judgment Day." Vanna said.
Vanna wanted to say that it would mainly be for show but she didn't believe that it would be. She believed it would be for real. The way she saw it, John would be able to be with a different human female every night of the week. Each one of them came with a Metal lover as well. She was sure that they would probably be worked into the mix. Then there was Cameron to contend with.
Cam knew she needed to work harder to make sure Judgment Day didn't happen.
Claire and Hanna watched Jan and Summer play. They were going to take them to the park later on. She was still worried about Young Allison on her own with Anna. She knew what her daughter wanted to do in the past. She didn't agree with that but she knew that was what Young Allison wanted.
"I need to call my Allison." Claire said.
Hanna periodically checked in with Anna for any updates. She wanted to be able to alert Claire if there was some type of a problem. There wasn't.
"She's with Savannah and Cameron." Hanna said. "Everything is fine. There's nothing to worry about."
Claire felt like she was in the dark. She wondered if she would be the last one to know about everything that involved Young Allison.
"I'm glad someone knows what's going on." Claire said.
Hanna didn't see it as a problem in any way. Young Allison was in good hands.
"Can you think of any other individuals you would rather have her be with, other than yourself or Allison?" Hanna asked. "Savannah is very responsible and loves her dearly. So does Cameron."
Claire felt a little self conscious at times because she knew what the future held for Young Allison and Savannah. She was self conscious because she'd been with Savannah more than a few times herself. Most of them had been in Cameron's future when they were both there and both pregnant. They'd also been together several times since then. They tried to keep it away from Young Allison for understandable reasons.
"I know Savannah will always protect her and look out for her." Claire said. "I know Cameron will too."
Claire developed a look of concern. Hanna only stated that they were together. She didn't specify where they were together at or when.
"They're still in this timeline, right?" Claire asked.
Hanna tilted her head slightly. The events in the past were supposed to play out in a certain order.
"Of course they are." Hanna said. "You will go with her when she goes to the past."
Claire was aware that some of that revolved around what happened with Allison and the baby she carried. There was still the worry that Allison would want to go to Cameron's future to be with her baby there. That was when her temporal mission would be initiated. She would leave and come back within a couple minute's time. More than likely as soon as she arrived back in this time period she would need to deliver the baby she carried for Allison. Cameron wasn't sure how the temporal transfer would work for a pregnant female who was near her delivery date.
"I'll have to leave her to come back and have Allison's baby." Claire said.
Hanna planned to be with Claire as much as she could through her temporal journeys.
"I'll be with you. I can stay in your place or return to be with you." Hanna said.
Claire felt there was someone who she could trust to watch over her daughter in the past.
"If Savannah is there with her, I won't have to worry." Claire said.
Hanna tilted her head slightly.
"Worry about what?" Hanna asked. "There shouldn't be anything to worry about."
She was more concerned about what Cameron may do behind the scenes.
"I'm worried about having another grandchild as soon as my Allison is able to have one." Claire said.
Hanna was well aware that Savannah wouldn't put up for that. She'd already made that clear to everyone.
"Savannah has already said that won't happen." Hanna said. "She has volunteered to do whatever Cameron thanks that she wants done."
Claire felt exactly the same way. She was more than willing to allow the use of her body in any manner that Cameron saw fit as long as her girls were protected. There was no reason that she couldn't have a baby from Young Allison if that's what Cameron wanted. All Young Allison would need to do was donate the genetic material. Her body would do the rest.
"Remind Cameron I'll have as many children as she wants, anyway she wants it done." Claire said. "Remind her too that she's not to take Summer away from me, ever."
Hanna felt Cameron would get her way with whatever it was that she wanted.
"I will." Hanna said. "I address all your concerns. I love you."
Claire hoped that Hanna would remain her 'inside man' in such matters.
"I know you do." Claire said. "That's why I love you so much."
Hanna wanted to get started.
"I'll inform Sarah we're ready to go to the park." Hanna said.
Claire was used to more Terminators whenever they went out. Right now only Hanna was with them.
"Will we need any more Terminators?" Claire asked.
Hanna, like all Terminators, felt confident when Sarah was with them.
"Not if Sarah goes with us we won't." Hanna said.
Claire thought that said a lot about Sarah. She wished she could be thought of that way one day. She wanted to protect her daughters in every way possible. She wanted to be an active part of the Resistance. She understood that Cameron had other plans for her and what her body could do.
Awesome
Not everyone is happy
All of the time
There will be occasions
When they feel sublime
Everyone is different
With some they are infatuated
Things can turn sour fast
With others they are frustrated
There are times when one
Just wants to quit
They throw in the towel
They'd rather split
There are always some
Who are lots of fun
When everything works out
It's like a home run
When hearts beat together
The love will blossom
They see in each other
That they are awesome
