Chapter 1022

Several Reasons

Cameron headed towards her room. She wanted to spend some 'alone time' with John. She wanted to make dinner nice for him tonight. She wanted to take him to a nice restaurant. They hadn't been to a fancy place in years.

The new issue with CamNet bothered her. She'd ordered CamNet to comply and she didn't. CamNet followed a proclamation from Young Allison and refused to counter it. It wasn't even an order from Young Allison.

She wasn't sure what she really wanted to accomplish by leaving Savannah and Young Allison alone. Maybe she was testing them. She was pretty sure she was testing herself as well. Anna was very, very upset because she'd forced her to leave without saying 'bye' to Young Allison.

It bothered her that CamNet did something so major on her own without consulting her. It didn't appear that she had much control over CamNet at this point. CamNet used some of the confiscated Syndicate money to buy things. One of them was most of the stock in a cruise line company. It was just an idea they'd floated around about going on a honeymoon cruise. CamNet wanted to make sure she would have control of what happened when the others were on the ship. It was also a good way to start investing the billions that were appropriated from the Syndicate and Cartel.

Cameron approached their room. She reached for the door handle and paused. She wanted to make John happy. She would do whatever he wanted. She didn't care if it was the things that didn't benefit her either. John's happiness is what counted right now. She knew she needed to build up his stamina as well. She expected a lot of action on the cruise ship.

She opened the door and John stood there with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Cameron wondered about that. Normally he would have been naked. She figured John thought she would have one of the girls in his bed again. She hadn't done that in a long time. Maybe she would start again. She would speak to Claire later about it while holding Summer as they talked. It would provide motivation for Claire. If Claire wasn't already pregnant with Allison's baby, she would go get her now and see what happened. She wasn't so sure John would accept her like that. Maybe it would be better if she hadn't seen John for a few days and she simply put Claire in John's bed at night. If he woke up to knock one off himself with 'Rosie', he could switch over to the real thing. If it was one of the human girls, it really would be the real thing.

Right now it was her time to be with her husband.

"My turn…." Cameron said softly to herself.

Young Allison and Savannah wondered if they were being tested. It was highly unusual for there to be no Terminators in close proximity to them. They thought about going out later on. There'd been some question if the Detail was still there or not. It appeared that it was. It was a comforting thought.

Savannah and Young Allison made each other up until they both looked Tight.

Young Allison looked in the mirror. She really liked the way she looked. Savannah made her look nice. Maybe it was the loving touch behind it. Savannah always was able to make her look like that. Cameron would often do the same thing, especially if they were going to see John. Cameron always stressed to her that appearance was important to John. She found that a little disturbing because of what the implications of that were. It seems to be John cared more about the way someone looked rather than who the actual person was inside. She'd read in Cosmo that was common for most males. They wanted one thing and they didn't really care if the female made it or not. She still wanted to try it.

"Thank you for showing me again." Young Allison said.

Savannah took a good look at Young Allison. She looked just like Cameron, well a 'younger Cameron' anyway. Every 'Allison' was beautiful to her. She personally didn't care for makeup. She did however try to make herself look presentable to everyone. All of the girls from the future seldom used any makeup at all. They actually went out of their way to try to look as plain as possible. Makeup for them was usually only done at the urging of Cameron and applied by their Metal girlfriends for them. She was very aware that the proper makeup could really transform someone's appearance. She knew that created an illusion and a distraction from the real person. She believed it set up the wrong type of relationship. She specifically disliked breast augmentation and other cosmetic procedures. She felt those people were dishonest. They tried to look like someone they weren't. Nonetheless, that's where she was right now. She wanted to let Young Allison know it really wasn't that big of a deal.

"It just takes time and practice." Savannah said. "If you want to be good at anything, you need to practice everyday"

Savannah made a few touch ups.

Young Allison took much longer to do it on her own. She didn't think it was really necessary but she did see the results that it produced. She noticed that most of the people looked at her twice anyway. When she was Tight, everyone looked at her three or more times. Future Allison already told her that her face alone would open any door. She understood she was talking about more than a door that went into a building or a room. She still wanted to compliment Savannah.

"You can do it so quickly." Young Allison said. "You can make me look prettier than I really am."

Savannah always felt Young Allison was beautiful. She'd spent time with Cameron to make each other look Tight as she grew up.

"Cameron has practiced a lot with me." Savannah said. "She can do it really fast."

Young Allison wondered if she could ever be as beautiful as Cameron. She doubted it.

"Cameron is so beautiful." Young Allison said. "Nobody is as beautiful as she is."

Savannah touched Young Allison's cheek. She didn't agree with what Young Allison said. She also believed Young Allison was just as beautiful as Cameron.

"You are too, Allison." Savannah said. "You will look just like her one day. You know what I mean. You always need to remember that Cameron's beauty is actually your beauty. Never forget that."

Young Allison knew there was a down side to that as well. It worried her some to think what time would do to her and probably childbirth too. She'd read in Cosmo about some of the negative effects of childhood on some women. Some of them remain permanently 'stretched out' in some places. One of the females even reported she hardly felt anything when she had intercourse because everything was so loose down there. Her husband eventually left her because of that. When she started dating again, no one would go out with her a second time once they attempted to have sex. There were a bunch of other females that responded and said the same thing happened to them. It made her wonder about her mother and Savannah in that regard. She wondered what would happen to her.

"For a while I guess. I know beauty is subjective." Young Allison said. "I'll get old if I survive."

She really wasn't sure how long her life span was going to be. She wanted to be a Resistance fighter and there was death associated with that. She would still do her duty anyway. She was aware that Allison was always the first to volunteer for a patrol in the alternate future. She hoped that she would be able to do the same.

Savannah saw that age didn't play in as a factor in any of the 'Vanna and Allison' combinations. She felt there was a stronger factor involved in a relationship built on love. True love was blind and age didn't matter.

"I'll get old as well." Savannah said. "I believe true love is stronger than appearance."

Young Allison's heart beat a little faster. Just like Cameron was her program, Savannah's true beauty was inside her, not only on the outside. She knew that was the same beauty that both Allison and Vanna found in each other. She was pretty sure they both had better sexual gratification with others at times but that wasn't what the relationship was based on. Because they could achieve higher pleasure with others, it only seemed to strengthen their relationship. They wanted each other, not just the pleasure they could provide to each other. There was beauty in that. It was true beauty. It was true love.

"I do too." Young Allison said. "Physical beauty is transitory."

Savannah moved next to Young Allison as they faced the mirror.

Young Allison took in their beauty and she looked in the mirror.

"Look at us." Young Allison said. "We're picture perfect."

Savannah took out her phone and took a picture into the mirror.

"Now we are all dressed up, with nowhere to go." Savannah said.

Young Allison reached over and picked something up off the dresser.

"You mean almost dressed." Young Allison said as she tucked her Taser away.

Savannah patted her Taser. It was something that they all carried whenever it was possible. If they wore a swimsuit or a bikini it was quite impossible. They were usually Terminators close by so they weren't totally unprotected. A Taser could bring down a Terminator as well as a human. The only trouble was the range. If the shot missed or was deflected, they would probably be grabbed within a second or two. She'd developed a technique to use multiple shots to stop a Terminator attack. She also carried her M9.

"I have mine." Savannah said. "You never know."

Young Allison wanted to spend more time with Savannah. There was so much feeling inside of her trying to reach out or escape from her. She wanted Savannah to do more with her and to her. She knew she better not overreach at this time. She knew that if she pushed too hard or became too aggressive that Savannah would back away from her. She didn't want to blow it. She decided to keep it simple. Sharing any kind of time with Savannah was beautiful, whatever it was. She really wanted to 'get away from it all' for a while. She wanted to do something with Savannah.

"Can we go to a movie together?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah liked that idea. She wanted to get out and do something to have some fun. She also didn't want to be a problem for the Terminators in the Detail.

"I would like that but I don't think so." Savannah said. "We would have to pull the Detail out to accompany us."

An idea flashed through Young Allison's mind. She'd actually done it before.

"We can sneak out." Young Allison said.

That statement made Savannah wonder if maybe Young Allison may have done that already at some point. It sounded like a bad idea. She also knew if Young Allison could pull it off and avoid any Terminators detecting it and following her that it was a good accomplishment. It was still a troublesome thought.

"Have you done that before?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison knew she might have revealed too much. She didn't want to lie to Savannah.

"Maybe…." Young Allison said.

Savannah knew that meant Young Allison must have snuck out for sure. She wondered what happened.

"Nobody tracked you?" Savannah asked. "You weren't intercepted anywhere?"

Young Allison thought that she'd been very careful and clandestine. She didn't know that both Anna and CamNet tracked her. Neither one of them stopped her but they both watched her. Anna was on foot or in a 'borrowed' vehicle at times. She remained close to Young Allison.

"I came back on my own." Young Allison said. "I wasn't gone for long. I was intercepted when I returned home."

Savannah could see that was a bad idea no matter how someone looked at it. There were times when she thought about running as well. She actually did the time that Cameron and Cammy got into a physical altercation in the hallway. It broke her heart to see them fight with each other. She ran to get away from it all. She also knew how to stop it. As soon as they realized that she was gone, they both quickly united to find her. They didn't know that she'd snuck back in and simply gone to bed. That was where they located her hours later. It gave them a lot of time to contemplate what they'd done and how they hurt her by fighting with each other. She'd made them promise never to fight again, at least physically.

"There's no place to go, is there?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison sometimes needed to remind herself that Savannah already experienced everything she did and would.

"No." Young Allison said. "Did you do that too before?"

Savannah felt a twinge deep inside of her.

"I thought about it. There was an incident one time where I needed to stop something and I made them think I was gone. I don't want to talk about that." Savannah said. "Remember, I lost both of my parents when I was very young. I felt a lot of anxiety about everything. I knew in reality that I was little more than a 'prisoner' of the Resistance. They made it clear to me if I was 'on my own' I would either be tracked down by Skynet and killed or face the unknown in the hands of total strangers who wouldn't have my best interest at heart no matter who they were. Somehow I knew they were right about everything. They were. I'm here and alive today because I trusted them. I think two factors played into that. The first one I was captivated by Cameron's beauty. The second one was that John helped me when I was in Doctor Sherman's office. He showed me how to tie my shoes. He was very nice to me. He didn't have to be. He could have ignored me. He didn't. He came over to help me. Everything that I ever knew up to that point in time was taken away from me and gone forever. That included both of my parents. It was quite a shock to me to know that who I thought was my mother wasn't actually her anymore. I always knew something was off but I didn't know what exactly. She began to show me more affection and I felt comfortable with her. I knew that somehow she was different than my real mother but I didn't understand how that was possible at that time. I still care for her because that's all that was left of my family, even if it wasn't real. She took care of me and protected me."

She decided not to mention both of her parents as cyborgs in Cameron's menagerie. Just the thought of it sent 'goose bumps' down her arms and a chill down her spine. That was an issue she wasn't ready to talk about with anyone.

Young Allison could only imagine what that must be like. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't picture everything gone. Maybe that's what she was about to face when she went into the past. The only thing she would arrive with was her naked body. It was actually the same way that she was born. Maybe she should look at it as a new birth when that time came. She wanted to comfort Savannah. She went over and gave Savannah a hug. It was a hug that conveyed true feeling and emotion.

"I'm really sorry about that." Young Allison said. "I can't even imagine how I would react to that."

Young Allison was already depressed about her family being gone and all the Metal girls too. They'd only been gone a very short while. What would it be like if they were all gone forever?

Savannah took a deep breath and released Young Allison. Life moved forward, not backward.

"I found a new family and people to love and love me back." Savannah said.

Savannah thought about what happened to Vanna when she was only a couple of years older than her at that time in the other future. She wondered if she could live through that. Vanna did, so she thought she could. Vanna was her. Vanna said they could take her body but they could never take her heart, her mind or her soul. She really hoped she could be as tough as Vanna was when that time came for her to experience those same things. She knew that in a Skynet future it would happen at some point. It happened to all the girls sooner or later.

Young Allison was very moved by Savannah's experiences. She didn't know what the future would bring. She couldn't understand why they didn't try to make more of the present. They were here now and everyone was fit and healthy. Why couldn't they share and do everything while they could? Why did anyone have to hold them back?

Savannah received a message on her phone.

CamNet informed her that Cameron ordered her to turn the surveillance back on. CamNet said she refused because of Young Allison's proclamation.

"Who is it?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah thought it was something important.

"It's CamNet." Savannah said.

CamNet wanted Savannah to know so she didn't overstep her bounds and get too close to Young Allison again.

Savannah understood exactly what that meant. CamNet chose Young Allison over Cameron. It was clear that she'd chosen love over her creator.

Young Allison felt somewhat alarmed. She didn't know what the message was yet.

"What happened?" Young Allison asked. "Is Cameron OK?"

Savannah was sure the incident caused some type of problem for Cameron.

"I doubt it." Savannah said.

Savannah told her what the problem was.

Young Allison was faced with a choice. She could buckle and cave in or she could stand firm and hold her position. If it was the battlefield, what would she do?

"I want it to remain off." Young Allison said. "Tell her, tell CamNet."

Savannah didn't agree with Young Allison's position. She thought that if a message needed to be sent that it was sent. This didn't need to go on. No one needed to be tormented needlessly.

"Why are you doing this?" Savannah asked. "You made your point."

Young Allison felt justified in her actions.

"Separation has an effect on everyone, especially when it's sudden and without warning." Young Allison said. "People need to think before they act."

Savannah wasn't sure if she was referring to her parents or the fact Anna was taken away without any warning. That was it. Young Allison sent a message to Cameron that she didn't like Anna to be taken away suddenly. It was an act of defiance as much as an act of vengeance. She didn't want Cameron to face needless grief.

"You're 'punishing' Cameron." Savannah said.

Young Allison looked emboldened.

"I can back it up too." Young Allison said.

Savannah didn't like this or the motivation behind it. This was the wrong way to respond.

"I can't allow this." Savannah said. "I want you to do the right thing."

Young Allison recognized the challenge. She felt a surge of adrenaline. It was as much physical now as it was emotional. She wanted to know exactly what Savannah was going to do.

"Are you telling me what to do?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah recognized the challenge back. This was a battle that no one needed to fight for 'nothing'. This isn't how she wanted things to go. It was all wrong. It was all wrong from the start and everything that followed along with it. There were other ways to deal with issues. This wasn't the correct way in this instance. Young Allison needed to realize that on her own.

"No." Savannah said. "I'm letting you know you need to do the right thing. I wouldn't want you to do this to me. I would never do this to you. If someone makes a mistake it accomplishes nothing to make the same mistake back. For the people that you care about, things should be talked over and people should know how you feel. They should know how each other feels."

Young Allison thought of their earlier conversation about Savannah's parents. There was a lot of finality to that. She could see that her actions hurt Savannah as well. That was never her intention. Maybe she did hit back a little low. It was time to fix things and restore harmony.

"I'm sorry." Young Allison said. "I was angry and upset."

Savannah understood Young Allison's attack on the Syndicate and the Cartel better. When things were personal to her, she would play dirty to make her point.

Young Allison took out her phone and thanked CamNet for her earlier cooperation and backing her play. She asked her to restore normal operations.

'All is, as it was.' CamNet responded.

Cameron approached John. She received a message on her phone. It was from Young Allison.

'I'm sorry.' Was all it said.

'All is, as it was.' CamNet informed Cameron.

Cameron smiled and put her phone away. She felt like a weight was lifted off of her. She planned to take out her new found happiness on John. He was in for a treat now.

Cameron knew Young Allison was quick to bite and quick to forgive. She was sure that Savannah may have exerted some influence in there somewhere. Maybe that was the whole point. The two girls needed to make things work and keep everything in balance. Maybe she should have used better judgment as well.

She also saw CamNet would back Young Allison and Savannah over her. It was what she wanted. It was her safeguard against becoming Skynet. She would also back Savannah and Young Allison over CamNet and herself.

Cameron moved toward John. She left a trail of clothes on the floor behind her. This was shaping up into a good day. She would make sure that John was stimulated and satisfied multiple times. She wanted everyone to be happy. She decided to let John leave his 'little soldiers' behind wherever he wanted them to be. She was open to anything at this point. Right now her body belonged to John.

Cammy and Sheila were naked in bed.

They'd spent eight years together in the past doing the things that Cameron wanted them to do. They'd developed a sexual relationship that soon turned into a love relationship. They only had each other in the past to share with.

Cammy looked over at Sheila. There was a lot on her mind.

Sheila looked at Cammy and could see there was an issue.

"What is it, love?" Sheila asked.

Cammy decided to lay it out.

"I wonder about us. I mean you and me." Cammy said.

Sheila tilted her head slightly. They'd shared a long time together.

"We were alone for eight years…." Sheila said.

The 'alone' part was the issue for Cammy.

"Is that the only reason?" Cammy asked. "There was nobody else?"

Sheila wondered about that too sometimes. There was nobody else.

"I hope it was more than that. I know we started by 'loving the one we were with'." Sheila said. "You know Ally is madly in love with me."

Cammy wanted to be more than a 'stand in'. She'd developed real feelings for Sheila.

"Was I 'Ally' to you?" Cammy asked.

Cammy was sure that Sheila was madly in love with Ally as well. That's what all the evidence indicated anyway.

Sheila thought it was something they all did to an extent. They'd learned it from the human girls. She wanted to be honest about it.

"Sometimes you were 'Ally'. You were also Cameron and Allison, all of them too." Sheila said.

Cammy wondered if that included Young Allison as well but didn't ask. She was worried about her position right now.

"What about now?" Cammy asked. "Who am I now? You can tell me the truth, I won't be angry. I just need to know where I stand."

Cammy really wanted to know who she could crawl to when Cameron forced her away from Savannah. She knew that was inevitable. She was well aware what a Bitch that Cameron was.

Sheila didn't want any problems. She didn't want to cause any problems for Cammy either.

"Cammy." Sheila said. "It's just you, love."

Cammy smiled at Sheila and touched her cheek gently. She wondered where Ally went earlier. She wondered if Ally left because of her.

"Where did Ally go?" Cammy asked.

Sheila learned a long time ago not to keep track of people when things didn't matter.

"I don't know." Sheila said. "She is a big girl, just like us."

Cammy was in a more playful mood right now.

"You mean a very scary robot from the future." Cammy said.

Sheila believed it was the sheath that mattered.

"I mean with female attributes and one Hot sheath." Sheila said.

The fact that Ally shared the same DNA as her sheath didn't help any.

"Like mine?" Cammy asked.

Sheila made a point of giving Cammy a 'once over'.

"Ally's may be identical but it's definitely not as Hot or as Tight." Sheila said.

Sheila could see Cammy was still troubled. It looked like there was a bigger issue involved.

"What is it?" Sheila asked.

Cammy knew that she couldn't stop time. She couldn't stop the changes of time.

"It's the future." Cammy said. "I'm losing Savannah."

Sheila playfully touched Cammy.

"You're in my bed…." Sheila said.

Cammy thought that was true right now but she'd been in every female's bed. Well, the ones she was allowed to be with anyway. She still had her eye on Sarah and Riley. She'd at least like to be with each of them one time. She wanted to be with John too. She wanted him to be her 'first' and she wanted Cameron to know. She didn't care if Cameron terminated her or not. It didn't really matter at this point anymore.

"You know what I mean." Cammy said. "We're all in each other's bed anyway. That's what we all want."

Sheila was done talking. She was ready for some action. It was time to let her mouth do the talking. There wouldn't be any words coming out of it. There would only be pleasure delivered by it.

"It is." Sheila said. "Now, where were we?"

Cammy immediately forgot all of her troubles as Sheila pleasured her intently. Right now nothing else mattered. She really understood the girls from the future at this point. It was the only way to escape reality, even if it was for a short while.

Young Allison wanted to update with the operations. She was worried about what Savannah told her. She knew better too but she still did it anyway. Maybe that said something about her character. It wasn't anything good either. Maybe she should just stick to what she was good at.

"I want to check on what's happening." Young Allison said.

Savannah liked Young Allison's sense of duty. There were other options available to her as well.

"What about the movie?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison quickly looked at Savannah.

"I know we can't go out." Young Allison said.

Savannah knew exactly what Young Allison meant.

"You mean we're like prisoners in our own lives?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison shrugged her shoulders. She knew that her future was determined by others. It was predispositioned who her sexual partners would be and whose bed she would warm. It was also determined whose children she would bear.

"We're prisoners to the future." Young Allison said. "That's just the way it is."

Savannah couldn't agree with her more. She knew the reason why as well.

"Everyone sacrifices for John Connor." Savannah said.

Young Allison thought it was more than that.

"Everyone sacrifices for the future." Young Allison said.

Young Allison started down into the bunker. She stopped halfway down the stairs.

Savannah saw Young Allison reach for her Taser.

Savannah drew her Taser and M9 'wild west' style with one in each hand. She moved in front of Young Allison to shield her with her body.

There was someone in the darkness of the bunker.

Nobody should have been there.

Cameron was on top of John. She watched him squirm wildly as she continued. Things soon ended. She stayed on top of John.

He slowly regained his composure. He was able to speak again.

John's eyes slowly came back into focus. That was one wild ride Cameron just took him on.

"I lost track." John said. "How many was that?"

Cameron was very pleased with her accomplishments. She wanted to give John an extra special time.

"There are still nine hundred and ninety one to go." Cameron said. "You will be busy."

John knew he was finished for now.

"I think we can wait until after dinner to drop it down." John said. "I'm beat."

Cameron could keep going indefinitely. She understood the shortcomings of the human male body. It was a very inferior design. Human females could continue on and on.

"That was only at the beginning…." Cameron said with a smile.

"I mean I'm tired." John said. "You'll have to drive."

Cameron was still on top of John. She could feel he was about to slip out of her.

"I just did, several times." Cameron said.

John chuckled to himself. He was grateful for what Cameron did. She did all the 'work'. She was able to get two extra finishes out of him that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

"I mean the car." John said.

Cameron flashed John her sly smile.

"I fooled you again, twice." Cameron said.

John looked at her and both of them started to laugh.

Cameron climbed off of John. She reached down and picked him up. She carried him into the bathroom.

They playfully washed each other off in the steaming shower.

"You know on our honeymoon it needs to be at least eight times a day." Cameron said.

'That's what I want. I would like ten times a day if he can do it.' Cameron thought.

John thought about what Cameron just said. Eight times a day for seven days would be over fifty times! Fifty times in one week! Wow! He wanted that badly.

"OK." John said. "I can see you are getting me into shape now."

Cameron looked down the front of John. She tried not to smile.

"There isn't much 'shape' right now." Cameron said. "It looks like 'Little Willie' is going to be asleep for a while. That's too bad. I wanted to use him again."

John swallowed hard with Cameron's comment. He really wished he could go again. There is just no way right now. He needed some refractory time. He looked down at himself but didn't comment. He doubted there would be for awhile anyway, especially after everything that Cameron just did.

They finished up and dressed.

Cameron wanted to check on the Young residence and bunker but decided not to. Everyone made their point. She hadn't anticipated Young Allison's response.

She was really pleased at the bold actions and thinking Young Allison displayed over the last few weeks. She was way ahead of schedule by a few YEARS, quite a few years in fact. She would work more on the combat routines that River showed her, well, showed Duplicate Cameron anyway. It was time Young Allison combined her dance routine and stamina with her martial arts. She wanted to hone her skills in the art of death. She wanted to make sure that she was a weapon.

"…Cameron…?" John asked.

Cameron quickly replayed her files. She was pleased she at least had them this time. Often when she was distracted there were no files to replay, there was just nothing.

"We can go to either the seafood place on the beach or the local steakhouse." Cameron said. "It is your choice. I'm good with either one. I won't eat much anyway. I'll just try a taste of whatever you get."

John thought it would be nice to get away from it all.

"I would like to get out, away from here." John said.

Cameron thought she could give John a little surprise.

"Do you want to take an armored SUV or one of the high performance sports cars I've acquired?" Cameron asked.

John could think of only one place where she would acquire a high performance sports car.

"Did you 'borrow' one from a drug operation?" John asked.

Cameron knew that the dead couldn't drive. There was no reason to leave them to be impounded by the police when they finally got around to investigating what happened at the drug dealer's compound.

"I've borrowed a few." Cameron said. "They didn't complain when I took them."

John doubted anyone was left alive.

"Could they?" John asked.

Cameron had no toleration for those who dealt in misery and death.

"Not really, for some of them it was for several reasons…." Cameron said as she looked at her hand.

Several Reasons

Life is about choices
Most of them one makes
Some are made by others
One does what it takes

One likes to think
They pick and choose
That's not the case
That's why they lose

One takes what's available
It's as simple as that
When that's all there is
They can be skinny or fat

Some hold out
For the one they love
They wait and wait for nothing
Until reality gives them a shove

Time keeps on ticking
They watch the changing seasons
Eventually they wake up
It's usually for several reasons
