"Hermione what exactly do you plan to do with that," Harry asked as he appeared in the floo behind the witch.
"I'm going to rescue our children Harry," she told him firmly.
"We don't even know where abouts they are, when they are," Harry argued.
"Harry's right we don't know anything other than that they are lost in time," Ron spoke, he'd been standing quietly next to Harry watching his wife fiddle with the Time Turner she had stolen.
"Can't we just go back to before the children disappeared and prevent them getting access to a Time Turner," Ginny asked.
"That would risk creating multiple timelines and in one timeline our children would still be lost in time," Hermione dismissed.
"Then how do we determine their whereabouts Miss Granger," Kingsley asked.
"I don't know," but we have to start somewhere," she answered him.
"Perhaps I can be of assistance in this matter a croaking voice spoke.
"Kreacher," Harry asked the aged house elf who was stood in the doorway to the living room they were in.
"Many years ago, when you were teenagers, children from the future came to the past," the elf informed them.
"When Kreacher, why don't we remember it," Harry asked.
"Master Harry does not remember because he was obliviated by his future self before he returned to Hogwarts for his for his fifth year of Education," Kreacher answered.
"Why do you remember," Ron asked the elf.
"House Elf magic protects an elf from mind altering magic, I was ordered to not share knowledge of the time traveling event until after the children had travelled to the past," the elf told them.
"Thank you Kreacher," Hermione spoke, "we now know where they are, the Order will be keeping them safe, but I don't like the idea of them in that time," she addressed the adults gathered in the room.
"So, we know where they are we just need to get to them," Ron addressed them.
"I can work out the calculations, but we can't all go to the past," Hermione told them as she summoned a notepad and pen.
"Who should go then," Ginny asked.
While the adults in the future were planning how to rescue the misplaced children, those in the past had been settling into a routine together. Aquilla had recovered from her injuries and had been reunited with Scorpius who had awoken from his potion induced sleep. A week had passed since their arrival in 1995 and the order had adapted the best they could. Taking care of so many children was hard but the knowledge that they won, that these children came from a time of peace encouraged them to keep fighting. They'd mourn the losses they knew that were coming when they happened, but they wouldn't change anything; late one night when all the children were asleep Remus had shared his feelings regarding his imminent death; "If someone were to save me; who would take my place, would my survival change the outcome of this war, I want my son to live in a world without war, without suffering. I know he is loved and cared for and though he doesn't have me, and Dora I believe that somewhere our spirits are watching over him, keeping him safe as he grows up. I won't risk changing that world, when it is my time, I will go into the light knowing my son is safe," he'd told the other order members quietly.
The children brought light to the dark house as they ran around, laughing pranking and playing together under the watchful eye of Mrs Weasley who insisted on doting on all of them; her knitting needles had been enchanted to make each child their own knitted jumper. The teenagers joined in the fun as they got to know the children of the future.
