I heard about the shooting right away, at around 11:30 am.
I get there and meet up with some of my teammates - Henry Bloodworth, Tom O' Neil and Jamie Smith.
Captain Vince DiManna wanted us, to start evacuating as many students as possible that were outside.
Lieutant Phlean was addressing us, to follow the Captain's orders. I did for a few minutes, escorting kids to safety.
I then positioned myself near the cafeteria.
Suddenly? We then heard gunfire go off in the windows of the library, directly above us.
Vince DiManna wanted us to cover fire immediately. We did.
I fired 16-18 shots in the windows of the library. I don't know what happened to the gunmen.
Dan O' Shea was also present there and he had a shield for protection.
I moved back to near, where the side cafeteria entrance was.
I came across a male victim (Richard Castaldo) that was amazingly still alive. The female student next to him, was sadly deceased. (Rachel Scott)
Vince and Phlean were arguing with each other, with what we should do next. I just stood there in silence.
I believe it was, Dan O' Shea who ended up, firing a few more shots back into the windows of the library but, not seeing the gunmen.
He did that, to break up the scuffle between the Captain and Liuietant.
At that point? A sea of students came out of nowhere in the parking lot and we shifted our focus on them.
I didn't fire my gun for the reminder of the shooting.
Important Note: Dan O' Shea's interview is conducted in pages 8,442 to 8,446.
But two of those five pages were in cursive. The other three pages, he barely mentions anything about the ordeal at all.
Aside from the gun he used while trying to fend off, Eric/Dylan and that was a Heckler-Kock 9mm sub-machine gun.
