Welcome to a Part 4 read of the Columbine FBI 11K documents. Part 4 essentially covers the interviews of the police officers, that arrived on and off the scene of the Columbine High School shooting, that took place on April 20, 1999. It's pages 8,700 to 10,075 in the report. To be honest? Most of these are not very good. But someone has to compile the witness reports. Enjoy.

22. John Lietz

I got a call from Matthew Lepew. He was at Columbine and he told me, there was a shooting at Columbine High School.

Matt was on the phone with me, for quite a while. He said there was about 20 kids hiding, in an office nearby the cafeteria.

He was calm under the pressure the entire time. I was on the phone with him for a good two hours.

He managed to keep quiet, while Eric and Dylan were walking nearby and put the phone down when necessary.

We eventually got to where he and the other 20 or so kids were at.

That Matthew Depew kid deserves a lifesaving award, twenty times over.
