WE'RE BACK FOLKS!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! TO ALL OUR MOMMYS AND MA'S OUT THERE. Be sure to show our love to our moms folks.
"Sorry can't talk. I'm doing shopping. What are Queen's favorite flowers again?" Maverick pondered as he was doing online shopping for his mother Elsa.
Anyway...as always. Thank you so much Spyro 101 for your assistance.
I've just finished two things I enjoyed this week. One. I finally watched Raya And The Last Dragon. That was a damn good movie. I enjoyed it so much despite a few rushed nitpick moments. I put it next to Mulan as in its better then the Live Action Mulan. And also I will use Komandra as a world for the upcoming KH III based story after this one. Let me all know your thoughts on the film and my Idea.
And two: I've finally finished Final Fantasy VII remake. HOLY CRAP! THAT WAS A TOTALLY ***KING AWESOME GAME! Which is why when Cloud and Tifa show up. I will base their design and characters on that game instead of their KH versions. Including Aerith. And I'll give them a much more flushed out plot then what they were given in the Kingdom Heart II. But Yuffie might remain the same. Unless if the remastered version for ps5 has any ideas.
Also...Sorry to say folks. This one might be a little shorter then my last few chapters I posted. I ran out of time and couldn't think of anything else to add for Timon and Pumbaa. I made about as much funny antics as I could but most of it is from the movie. I don't know if it's writers block or fatigue from work. But I hope what I added here is enough to entertain you all.
You've all been such a big support for my stories and I thank you all for that. But don't worry. I have better plans after this one.
"Are you going to convince the universe to cancel all upcoming Disney Live Action Remakes?" Maverick perked up.
HA! I wish. No. I mean I have better plans for the next chapter, after this current chapter. But first let's answer some comments.
Haxorus knight: Thanks! I do my best.
olehbilenko93: Thank you! Yeah The Lion King was a great part of my childhood too.
RustyPete12: Thank you! Yeah I owe it all to Honest Trailers for that idea of 'The Circles Of Life'. I might do something like that again later. But it will depend on the song and the film of the world I use. But I have something planned for when I take the team to the world of the Simpsons. And yes it will be in this story. But not until later on. Also I am aware of those inconsistent Lion King sequels and spin offs. Like Simba's Pride and Lion Guard. But that's why I won't be using any of them. Besides I'm not that familiar with Lion Guard. But I'm prepared for crazy comments flames if necessary.
barbatos009: Thank you. Be sure to check out my other stories. I got a giant robot fight in the climax of both of my first stories.
Alrighty. Now that we're all here.
LET'S GET DANGEROUS!
Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
Walking down to Timon and Pumbaa's feeding grounds...
Timon and Pumbaa took the Guardians to have dinner with them while Simba and Nala went in another direction to have a private conversation together. While they were the two with no worries told the team all about their way of life. Of not taking in the troubles of the worlds and living a life without worries. Or in one world they say. And sometimes with the power of Fantasia.
"Hakuna Matata!~ What a wonderful phrase!~" Timon and Pumbaa sang on a conga line with every member dancing behind them.
"It means no worries!~ For the rest of your days!~" Then they all sang and danced down the road to dinner as Aiden fired up neon lights for effect which scared a few birds but elevated the mood of the song.
"Testify!" Aiden quipped.
"I am Groot!" Baby Groot agreed as he was shaking his butt to the song.
"We already are but there's room for more!" Timon beamed.
"It's our problem-free!~ philosophy!~ Hakuna Matata!~" They all sang and danced the conga line to dinner.
"Woah ho ho! Can't get tired of that song!" Timon beamed as the dancing began to wane down.
"Say how are you doing that light thing with your paws?" Pumbaa asked Aiden.
"I don't ask questions Pork Rinds. I just have fun." Aiden quipped.
"I hear that. Who needs to worry about answers? Oh! I tell you." Timon mused as he and Pumbaa answered at the time. "People who don't live like us!"
They all laughed at that as they all continued to Timon and Pumbaa's feeding grounds.
Once everyone was there. The partying song mood was immediately killed for the team. Timon and Pumbaa had expected everyone to dig in like they were doing. While Sora and the others were expecting the meerkat and warthog to be eating something basic like fruit or possibly grass or plants.
They should've looked up what Meerkats and warthogs eat first.
"I saw this one coming." Aiden shook his head while watching.
"Ugh!...Gross!" Sora shuttered as he watched Timon and Pumbaa gorge on a large pile of bugs. A natural diet for them.
"Do these guys really like eating all those..." Kairi started, before swallowing to try to calm her nauseous stomach. "Insects and bugs?"
"I think I'm gonna be sick." Donald wheezed out while looking green in the face as he stopped flapping his wings to sit down.
"Yeah. Me too" Goofy gagged as he swallowed to keep down some bile as his turtle legs felt weak..
At this point, Timon and Pumbaa noticed their sick expressions.
"What's with them?" Timon asked while munching on green June bugs.
"Maybe they got some bad news before coming here." Pumbaa muffled and answered while chewing some red beetles.
"Guys come on. What did you expect them to eat? Corn? This is their natural diet." Aiden said in Timon and Pumbaa's defense.
"Then why aren't you and Tori grossed out from this? Ugh. Excuse me." Sora gagged a bit when they saw Pumbaa eating a large pile of aphids.
"Eh. I used to sometimes eat locusts when I was surviving out." Aiden shrugged as he recalled the three years he had been alone as a small boy.
"And they use to serve meals like this on several planets in Shi'ar." Victoria stated looking unfazed by all of this.
"You ate bugs on Shi'ar?!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed.
"Ordinarily. But I am on a low tick diet. They tend to add pounds to my slim figure. That's why I'll pass." Victoria stated why she's not eating.
"And Groot and I swore off the Ed Stafford menu ever since I got settled in Arendelle. So there's no need for me to...Really?" Aiden Deadpanned as he almost finished his quip.
He noticed Baby Groot sitting on the pile slurping on some worms like spaghetti.
"I am Groot. Buuuuurp!" Baby Groot sighed and let out a loud burp before leaning back.
"Yeah that's the spirit! Whatever you said." Timon mused with a smile before he resumed gorging with Pumbaa and the little tree.
Baby Groot is a tree after all. Anything under the soil is natural for him.
At this point, Donald and Goofy couldn't watch on anymore. Their cheeks puffed up and they ran to a nearby bush where they emptied their stomachs. Sora and Kairi looked green in the face, but were not at the point of vomiting.
"Whimps." Victoria snorted at the others, seeing their reactions.
"You know what. I think we spotted some low sodium silverfish over by the lake. I think we'll gorge over there." Aiden made an excuse before he and his team quickly got out of there.
But Baby Groot remained so he could dive into the pile of tree bugs.
"Sure knock yourselves out. But don't forget to hold your breath when you get back. Pumbaa's eating stink bugs." Timon mused while munching.
The stuff that makes him gas.
"Sorry." Pumbaa muttered.
"All those in favor of ordering Chinese and some pepto bismol. Say Aye." Aiden announced.
"AYE!" They all quickly answered.
"God bless democracy...Accept for how America does it." Aiden quipped with a smirk before he called IRIS on his ring. "Beam us up for dinner IRIS."
'At once Maverick.' IRIS complied.
Then the team was beamed back up to the ship without anyone noticing. Leaving Timon and Pumbaa to eat along with Baby Groot.
But then Timon gazed at the distance in the view of the Oasis. He scoffed seeing Simba and Nala walking together as the sun began to set.
"I gotta tell you. This really stinks." Timon shook his head.
"Come on I said sorry." Pumbaa crowned.
"Not you. Them." Timon gestures to two lions walking together. "Him. Her. Alone."
"What's wrong with that?" Pumbaa asked while Baby Groot looked just as curious as he sat on a log eating a large blue beetle.
Then the magic of Fantasia began to take effect of this moment of romance.
"I can see what's happening~" Timon sang as his arms crossed and looked away.
"What?" Pumbaa asked, looking onward, not understanding.
"And they don't have a clue~" Timon sang, his arms at his side.
"Who?" Pumbaa asked, looking to Timon now.
"They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line~ Our trio's down to two~" Timon sang, holding up two fingers.
"Oh." Pumbaa said sadly.
"The sweet caress of twilight~" Timon sang in a French accent before hopping onto Pumbaa's back. "There's magic everywhere~" Timon sang normally and then hopped onto the top of Pumbaa's head. "And with all this romantic atmosphere~ Disaster's in the aiiiiiiiiiir!~" Timon gestured towards Simba and Nala as they began climbing down the waterfall.
"Can you feel the love tonight~" A mysterious cultural orchestral chorus with a feminine lead voice began singing as Simba and Nala began walking and circling each other while under the calm waterfalls. "The peace the evening brings~ The world for once in perfect harmony~ With all its living things~"
Then they both went down to drink from the lake. And as they sipped the water up like cats. Simba's mind began to sing.
"So many things to tell her~ But how to make her see~ The truth about my past?~ impossible~ She'd turn away from me~" Simba's thought sang his fear as he looked at her with eyes that were fighting guilt.
And as Nala caught his gaze while drinking. Her mind began to sing. "He's holding back, he's hiding~ But what, I can't decide~ Why won't he be the king I know he is?~ The king I see inside?~" Her desires and concern were sung into the song.
But then she looked curious to see Simba give her a playful grin he use to give as a cub as he went back and surprised her as he swung from a vine using his jaw and diving into the water. Nala gasped and looked down to find him under the water. But then Simba pulled her down into the water. Which made her quickly gasp out air when she emerged and climbed out of the water soaking in shock. Simba smiled as if he pranked her. But then she gave him a smirk and shoved him back into the water and ran off. Then Simba laughed and ran after her.
"Can you feel the love tonight?~ The peace the evening brings~ The world, for once, in perfect harmony~ With all its living things~" The magical chorus sang as the two lions ran into the night grassy fields.
They made birds flee as they ran past bamboo trees and tagged each other like two playful cats. But then they tumbled upon each other and rolled down a hill. And by the time they reached the bottom. The music picked up as Simba pinned Nala.
He finally pinned her!
He laughed with her as Nala looked at him with passion. And she licked his face in the way that a cat kisses. Simba looked caught off guard as he looked down at Nala in surprise. While she gave him a flirtatious gaze. He smiled back at her as he climbed off so she could stand and they both nuzzled each other's faces in affection. In their own way to confess each other's love. With the song.
"Can you feel the love tonight?!~ You needn't look too far!~ Stealing through the night's uncertainties!~ Love is where they are!~" The chorus sang beautifully.
Back over with Timon and Pumbaa. They both looked on with tears in their eyes as Timon resumed the song.
"And if he falls in love tonight~ It can be assumed~" Timon sang with quivering lips as he hugged Pumbaa who sniffed and hugged him back.
And Pumbaa resumed the song. "His carefree days with us are history~" Then they both sang. "In short, our pal is doooooooooooooooooooomed!~"
Then they both broke out into crying. "Buaaaaah!~" Timon and Pumbaa cried a rain of tears.
Baby Groot who was listening to the song while finishing his beetle and kicking his feet out on the log, seeing Timon and Pumbaa crying.
But he just shrugged and decided to join them into a big hug with his extended arms. Helping with their heartbreaking moment.
Whatever that is.
Back over the waterfall view…..
After their wonderful time of bonding together and reconnecting. Simba and Nala walked on the fallen tree bridge.
"Isn't this a great place?" Simba asked Nala.
"It is beautiful." Nala said while gazing about, before turning her attention back to Simba. "But I don't understand something. You've been alive all this time. Why didn't you come back to Pride Rock?"
Simba climbed into a hammock of hanging vines before answering.
"Well, I just needed to... get out on my own. Live my own life. And I did. And it's great." Simba said while looking at her, trying to reassure her and himself.
"We've really needed you at home." Nala said sadly, her voice cracking slightly.
"No one needs me." Simba said quietly scoffed and looked down.
"Yes, we do!" Nala insisted. "You're the king."
"Nala, we've been through this. I'm not the king. Scar is." Simba said with a slightly firm voice.
Nala put her front paws up onto the hammock.
"Simba, he let the hyenas take over the Pride Lands." Nala said softly.
"What?" Simba gasped in shock.
"Everything's destroyed. There's no food. No water." Nala claimed before hopping off the hammock "Simba, if you don't do something soon, everyone will starve."
"I can't go back." Simba said, rolling onto his side, a troubled look on his face.
"Why?!" Nala asked loudly.
"You wouldn't understand." Simba said before hopping off the hammock himself.
"What wouldn't I understand?!" Nala desperately asked as Simba walked a little bit away.
"No, no, no. It doesn't matter." Simba said hastily, trying to change the subject as he looked back at her. "Hakuna Matata."
"What?" Nala asked, confused by those words.
"Hakuna Matata. It's something I learned out here." Simba said while walking back towards her. "Look, sometimes bad things happen..."
"Simba!" Nala interrupted sharply.
"...And there's nothing you can do about it." Simba continued irritated before he began walking away on a fallen tree. "So why worry?"
"Because it's your responsibility!" Nala stated as she followed him while off the tree. Simba stopped walking and stared down at her.
"Well, what about you? YOU left!" Simba said to her.
"I left to find help! Sora and Aiden brought me here, andI found YOU." Nala countered with a scowl. "Don't you understand?! You're our only hope."
Simba just looked away. He didn't know what else to say.
"Sorry." Simba muttered.
Nala couldn't believe it. That little cub he used to run around and play out with on Pride Lands. The same cub that dreamt about being king. He's not the same anymore.
Nala wasn't sure who she was talking to. But it certainly wasn't Simba.
"What's happened to you? You're not the Simba I remember." Nala said with a touch of sadness.
"You're right. I'm not. Now are you satisfied?" Simba glared feeling irritated.
"No, just disappointed." Nala glared while feeling let down.
"You know, you're starting to sound like my father." Simba muttered bitterly as he hopped off the tree and began walking away.
"Good. At least one of us does." Nala muttered back bitterly which stopped Simba in his tracks.
Those words cut into him deeply. In his anger, Simba turned back to Nala, an angry look on his face.
"Listen, you think you can just show up and tell me how to live my life?!" Simba yelled at her. "You don't even know what I've been through!"
"I would if you would just tell me!" Nala yelled back.
"Forget it!" Simba snapped before turning around and began walking away.
"Fine!" Nala snapped back at Simba's retreating form before looking away angrily.
Just then, Sora and Aiden came back after a meal of Chinese from the ship in their human forms, and walked back down on this world in their animal forms.
"Why did they get all the good fortunes?" Sora groaned while walking next to Aiden. They both looked annoyed that Victoria and Kairi got the better fortunes in their fortune cookies.
Both girls were looking snarky and pious that they got victory over the boys yet again.
"Because the weaker sex always gets a happy ending." Aiden muttered.
Just then they walked up and found Nala arguing with Simba before they both walked off. Nala walked past the team as Sora and the others looked concerned.
"Hey. What was that about?" Sora tried to ask Nala who just walked past them.
"Is Simba okay?" Goofy asked.
"Ask him yourself." Nala only answered without looking back in a bitter tone before leaving to go be alone.
The team could tell Nala was angry. Not at them though. Either she and Simba went through a serious break up or unprofessional disagreement. Maybe both.
"Either we missed out on an early mid season finale break up. Or someone is carrying a lot of baggage." Aiden said while feeling awkward about all of this.
Not even Aiden parents rarely ever had arguments like this.
Just then before anyone could add a comment. Aiden's ring began to beep as it was alerting him.
'Warning. I am detecting seismic activity emitting from over the horizon.' IRIS stated.
The team looked confused as they looked out among the clouds and dark sky over the grassy fields.
"Strange. We don't see any thunderstorms, strange portals or...Anything." Kairi pondered while tilting her head.
"Maybe this world has much more to it than just being a majestic Zoo." Victoria figured looking out at the stars.
"Maybe." Donald and Goofy said at the same time feeling the same way.
To interrupt their moment of thought. Baby Groot came out from one of the bushes and wandered back to Aiden while spinning a little and looking dizzy. And very full.
"Ugh...I am Groot." Baby Groot greeted woozy like.
"Let me guess. Gorging with the Odd Couple?" Aiden inquired humorously.
"I am...Ugh.." Baby Groot gave a thumbs up before passing out on the grass in front of them.
"Poor little guy." Kairi cooed as she picked him up with her paw and let him ride on her back.
"I've got a trail on those 'strange readings'. It doesn't seem to be anything of a dark signature or signs of a stereotypical sci-fi tornado." Aiden stated and suggested as he was reading up on what his ring was showing him. "But it's best if we followed it."
"Okay." Sora nodded in agreement.
"And if it's possible. Once we find it. We bring Simba over to the signal. It might take his mind off of whatever he's sulking about." Aiden also added.
"Why?" Victoria asked.
"Because whatever kind of mystical energy IRIS is reading right now. Is connected to Simba." Aiden revealed in the answer.
Down at the grassy fields...
Simba was alone and still in anger at the argument he had with Nala. He resisted telling her the truth. Knowing she wouldn't take it well. His life has been such a predicament. He thought he could escape his problems. And yet they followed him out here.
As Simba paced back and forth in the grass. Trying to surpass the anger. He ranted.
"She's wrong. I can't go back. What would it prove, anyway? It won't change anything. You can't change the past." Simba sighed.
Simba looked up at the night sky, at the stars above, thinking about his father.
"You said you'd always be there for me!" Simba shouted up into the sky before dropping his head with a sigh. "But you're not. And it's because of me. It's my fault. It's my fault."
Simba choked back his sobs as tears formed in his eyes. He thought the guilt had left him as a cub. But he was wrong. No matter how hard Simba's mind tried. His heart couldn't run from the past.
Meanwhile, in a nearby tree, the branches began shaking as chanting could be heard.
"Asante sana!~ Squash banana!~ We we nugu!~ Mi mi apana!~"
Simba's ears perked up at the sound. He turned his head towards the chanting, and saw a figure in the branches, who was responsible for the chanting.
"Asante sana!~ Squash banana!~ We we nugu!~ Mi mi apana!~"
The chanting continued, which began to annoy Simba, so he began to walk away.
In the tree, jumping through the branches, the figure is revealed to be Rafiki who looked down at the retreating Simba, a big smile on his face, happy to see that the young lion was alive and healthy.
Simba walked onto a fallen tree that was over a small body of water. Looking down at the water, Simba moved to lay down on his stomach on the tree, and gazed down at his reflection with a sigh.
The reflection in the water is disturbed by a small stone thrown into the water.
"Asante sana!~ Squash banana!~ We we nugu!~ Mi mi apana!~" Rafiki kept chanting and hooting like a laugh
The annoying chanting was getting on Simba's nerves, making him groan in irritation as he looked towards Rafiki who was chanting and swinging back and forth while holding onto a branch of a nearby tree.
"Come on, will you cut it out?" Simba asked feeling irritated before getting back up and walk away as Rafiki jumped down from the tree.
"Can't cut it out. It'll grow right back! Hehehahaha!" Rafiki said and laughed as he proceeded to follow Simba.
"Creepy little monkey." Simba groaned as Rafiki continued following him. "Will you stop following me?! Who are you?"
Rafiki stopped in front of Simba, making him stop.
"The question is: Whooo... are you?" Rafiki asked, leaning close to Simba's face.
The question startled the young lion before he sighed and looked down.
"I thought I knew. Now I'm not so sure." Simba said with a touch of sadness in his voice.
"Well, I know who you are. Shh." Rafiki said before grabbing Simba's ear and leaning towards him. "Come here. It's a secret."
Rafiki brought his mouth close to his ear, and...
And as Simba listened. Rafiki chanted those words again starting in a whisper. "Asante sana~ Squash banana~ We we nugu!~ Mi mi apana!~"
Rafiki's chanting annoyed Simba again as the baboon walked and chanted, with his shaman staff in hand.
"Enough already! what's that supposed to mean, anyway?" Simba asked while looking at Rafiki.
"It means you are a baboon." Rafiki said pointing at Simba, before pointing at himself. "And I'm not. Hehehahaha!"
Rafiki laughed as Simba began walking away.
"I think... you're a little confused." Simba said back to Rafiki before facing forward, only for Rafiki to magically appear in front of him.
"Wrong!" Rafiki said, a finger on Simba's nose. "I'm not the one who's confused, and neither are your friends from the sky. Haha! You don't even know who you are.
"Oh, and I suppose you know?" Simba scoffed with irritated sarcasm as he tried to walk away again.
"Sure do, you're Mufasa's boy." Rafiki said, making Simba stop in his tracks and turn to face the baboon again, this time with a look of utter shock and surprise. "Bye!"
With that, Rafiki ran off, with Simba giving chase a second later.
"Hey, wait!" Simba called out to him as he tried to catch up to Rafiki. When he finally caught up to him at the top of a big hill, Rafiki was in a meditative lotus position on a rock, his eyes closed.
Simba stood close by, catching his breath before talking again.
"You knew my father?" Simba asked.
"Correction. I know your father." Rafiki said in a monotone voice, his eyes still closed.
At this, Simba looked down in sadness, not looking forward to having to say what he had to.
"I hate to tell you this, but... he died. A long time ago." Simba stated sadly.
"Nope. Wrong again!" Rafiki stated, rushing past Simba, taking him by surprise as Rafiki walked towards a dense jungle with his shaman staff. Before looking back at Simba. "Ha ha hah! He's alive! And I'll show him to you. You follow old Rafiki, he knows the way. Come on!"
Rafiki gestured for Simba to follow him as he ran into the jungle. And Simba proceeded to try to follow Rafiki, wanting and needing answers.
Simba had trouble keeping up due to Rafiki's baboon ability and speed of swinging through the trees. Simba ran as fast as he could trying to keep up with the Baboon. Losing sight of him several times as he could only follow the sound of Rafiki's voice.
"Don't dawdle. Hurry up!" Rafiki echoed in excitement.
Simba climbed under crevices that slowed him down as he called out. "Hey, whoa! Wait, wait!"
Then Simba got out and followed Rafiki who was swinging and running through trees like a parkour stunt monkey.
Simba tripped a few times over vines and dead branches but he kept going.
"Come on, come on!" Rafiki urged.
"Would you slow down?!" Simba exclaimed feeling mildly exhausted but kept going.
The only response Simba got was a laughing echo from the baboon. Rafiki was laughing hollowly and whooping As Simba struggled to keep up. Suddenly, Rafiki appeared with his hand held up right into Simba's face.
"STOP!" He yelled with his hand up which halted Simba by surprise.
Rafiki then signaled. "Shhh..." Then he came up to some reeds and gestured to Simba to walk past them. Feeling curious, Simba came up slowly expecting by some miracle to come up to his father. Back from the dead.
But instead he came up to a lake. And he wasn't alone.
"Sora? Donald? Goofy?" Simba said out of surprise seeing them along with the other Guardians with them.
"Simba?" Sora was surprised that he'd be there early.
Aiden had his paw out while he was using his ring to find the signal he found earlier. They all looked at Simba as the signal was getting stronger with him being there.
"I guess we can cancel our side quest to bring the candidate along." Aiden quipped about the fact that they were going to go find Simba and bring him there.
"What are you all doing out here?" Simba asked the Guardians looking anxious."I was told that my father would be here. Have you see him?"
"Well...No. We were told to come out here and find a mysterious disturbance, we didn't see anyone out here except for you." Sora explained his team's part to Simba. "And Rafiki
"Wait. You know all of them?" Simba asked Rafiki.
"All in good time my boy. Now everyone shush, stand back. Simba. Look out there..." Rafiki instructed with a whisper as he pointed out at the water.
Simba moved slowly towards the water, the Guardians stood close by but out of the way so the lion could see for himself. Simba looked down into the and saw his reflection staring back at him. Seeing this, Simba sighed in disappointment before sitting up.
"That's not my father. It's just my reflection." Simba told Rafiki and the team.
"Oh man." Sora sighed.
"It was worth a shot I guess." Kairi said smiling sadly with the others nodding in agreement.
"I think the shaman needs to lay off the herbs" Aiden quipped quietly.
"Noo." Rafiki said to Simba and the guardians before gesturing to the water again. "Look harder…..."
With that Simba decided to humor Rafiki one more time and looked more closely at the water, which began to ripple, distorting Simba's reflection. Simba looked on harder as the water now showed not Simba's face, but Mufasa's.
"You see, he lives in you." Rafiki stated, as Simba's eyes widened at this.
The others were starting to understand what the baboon meant by this.
Just then, the wind began picking up. At the sound of thunder as Aiden's readings were spiking on his ring.
"Simba." a deep disembodied voice spoke, catching everyone's attention.
"Hey guys you all heard that too, right?" Sora asked nervously.
"I certainly did." Kairi said, looking around.
"Father?" Simba spoke, looking up to the sky.
"Hey fellas…. Look!" Goofy said, motioning to where Simba was looking.
"WAAAAK!" Donald squawked, the others gasping, as the clouds in the sky began to move and shape themselves into a giant Lion, who was the spirit of Mufasa.
"Just for the record Spike, our Chinese food wasn't tweaked. We're all seeing the same thing." Aiden said, astonished at the sight.
"I am Groot." Baby Groot muttered with big eyes looking up. Translation: 'that is one big lion'.
"You said it Groot." Victoria said, looking up in awe.
Simba walked forward. Ahead of everyone while the team and Rafiki stood back. Knowing that this was meant for Simba. It was clear who this giant cloud formed spirit was. This was his father. The late great king. Mufasa.
"Simba, you have forgotten me." Mufasa said to Simba.
"No. How could I?" Simba said while shaking his head.
"You have forgotten who you are, and so have forgotten me." Mufasa began, several clouds swirling around him. "Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life."
"How can I go back?! I'm not who I used to be." Simba told him.
"Remember who you are." Mufasa said, his entire being shining in a brilliant light, as more clouds circled around him. "You are my son, and the one true king."
Simba looked on wide-eyed in awe at what he was seeing and hearing.
"Remember who you are." Mufasa said, as he began to rapidly disappear again.
"No. Please! Don't leave me!" Simba called out to Mufasa as he began chasing the clouds.
"Remember…." Mufasa's voice echoed.
"Father!" Simba called out, still running.
"Remember" Mufasa's voice echoed again.
"Don't leave me." Simba whispered as he finally stopped running.
"Remember..." Mufasa's voice echoed one last time, before he was completely gone, the wind rustling the grass as Simba sat down, looking on towards the now clear sky.
The first one to break the silence was Rafiki who stood next to Simba.
"What was THAT?!" The baboon exclaimed and laughed before he remarked. "The weather. Pbbbah! Very peculiar. Don't you think?"
"Dude! We just witnessed the burning bush of thunderstorms! I mean...Damn!" Aiden said in amazement making everyone chuckle.
"Yeah. Looks like the winds are changing." Simba smiled looking up.
"Ahhh. Change is good." Rafiki agreed seeing Simba have the right attitude for once.
"Yeah, but it's not easy." Simba had to admit.
"Can't argue with that Leo.I have my own personal hurricane to deal with. And Spike has his own headache. I don't envy you." Aiden said with a little encouraging humor.
"Thanks. I know what I have to do. But, going back means I'll have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long." Simba reminded himself as he wondered how he was going to face what was coming.
*Wack!*
Rafiki responded by hitting Simba's head with his stick which made the other Guardians wince.
"Oww! Jeez! What was that for?!" Simba grimaced in pain while rubbing the top of his head.
"It doesn't matter. It's in the past!" Rafiki stated and laughed.
"Yeah but it still hurts." Simba winced while rubbing his head.
"Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it." Rafiki stated before he swings at Simba with his staff again. This time Simba ducked out of the way.
Proving Rafiki's point.
"Hah, you see?!" Rafiki grinned with his arms crossed.
"Gotta be honest. Hands down. That was the most adult moral I've ever heard in my life." Victoria said being impressed.
"What?! What about all of my life lessons?!" Aiden exclaimed feeling jealous.
"Don't worry. You'll always have a special spot in third place." Victoria smirked teasingly.
"WHO'S IN THIRD?!" Aiden exclaimed feeling fumes rising from his fur as the team laughed.
Just then their banter was interrupted by Aiden's ring glowing.
'Maverick. You and your team's battle armor integrity has been updated due to a shift in the cosmic multi-outer sphere. You can now shift into your suit while in this form.' IRIS stated to Aiden.
"What is it?" Sora asked since he the rest of them didn't hear it.
"It seems the winds just gave us an upgrade." Aiden smirked feeling confident as he touched his ring and immediately shifted into the Maverick as the form of a metallic full grown armored liger. Complete with the Maverick face with lion neck hair.
This is clearly possible because of Mufasa on the side of Simba and his friends. The Guardians Of The Multiverse.
"Woah." Simba said in shock seeing Aiden shift into the Maverick as a liger.
"Does this mean?" Kairi beamed.
"Yep." Victoria smirked.
"Alright!" Sora cheered as he shifted into his armored form as a full grown armored lion.
Including Kairi who shifted into a full grown armored lioness.
Then Victoria shifted into Blaze as a full grown Cheetah. As the team stood together.
"Whooo! Hahahahahaha!" Rafiki whooped and laughed being impressed seeing Simba's friends with such power.
"I am Groot." Baby Groot commented. Translation: "Someone's happy."
"I see no reason to fear now. With them on your side. Your victory is assured!" Rafiki stated.
"He's right. The title of king was always yours Simba. And now the Guardians of the Multiverse is part of the revolution." Sora said in his armored voice.
Simba smiled at the Guardians of the Multiverse. "Thanks guys."
"So. Champion? What are you going to do now?" Rafiki asked while smiling at Simba.
Simba smiled mischievously before he said. "Well. first, I'm gonna take your stick." He snatched Rafiki's staff and tossed it for that bong on the head earlier.
"No, no, no, no! Not the stick!" Rafiki yelled as he ran to pick it up. Then he turned to see Simba and the Guardians leaving. "Hey! Where are you all going?!"
"Where going back!" Simba answered.
"To kick Scar's ass!" Maverick stated before they all ran with Simba.
"I am Grooooot!" Baby Groot cheered while riding on Maverick's back.
"GOOD! GO ON! GET OUT OF HERE!" Rafiki yelled and laughed before whooping and cheering with his staff held up. "WOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
This goes on as the Guardians of the Multiverse continues to run with Simba. While Maverick and Blaze took off flying into the air. As the magic of Fantasia caused several shooting stars to fly across the sky. with the 'Celebratory Melody Of Busa' to be sung throughout the land.

The next morning in the Oasis...
Timon and Pumbaa were sleeping under a tree. With the meerkat curled up on Pumbaa's belly while the warthog was lying on his back. Both were snoring while Pumbaa would occasionally mumble "Grubs...Grubs."
Just then Nala came over and nudged them awake with her paw. "Hey. Hey, wake up."
Timon woke up first to see Nala ip close to them as the memories of their first meeting come flying back at him.
"AAAH!" Timon screamed in fear.
"AAAAH!" Pumbaa awoke screaming.
Then they both screamed. "AAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
"It's okay! Whoa, whoa! It's okay! It's me!" Nala eased them both as they stopped screaming.
Timon took a deep breath getting over the fear. "Don't ever, do that again. Carnivores. Oy." He sighed.
"Have any of you seen Simba? Or maybe Sora and his friends?" Nala asked them both.
"No clue on the young boy scouts. But as for our 'best friend'. I thought he was with you." Timon snorted while holding a hand to his head.
"He was. But now I can't find them or any of the defenders. Where are they?" Nala wondered.
Just then the sound of Rafiki's laughter alerted them as they were startled and looked up on the tree to see the baboon shaman perched up there.
"Ho, ho, ho, ho! You won't find him here. Ha ha! The king... has returned. And the Guardians are on the move." Rafiki bowed as if to salute who he was mentioning.
Nala looked shocked and amazed to hear this. Yesterday she thought Simba was close to a lost cause, despite all her efforts to try and convince him he wasn't. But now...
"Guardians...Wait. He means Sora and his friends. I can't believe it. He's gone back." Nala's eyes widened as she smiled in realization.
That and Nala was told by Simba last night that Sora and Aiden are from another world. Including their teammates and girlfriends. Which made sense for how they were able to pull off all of those amazing skills and magic.
"Gone back? What do you mean?" Timon inquired as he turned and gawked seeing Rafiki was gone. "Hey! What's going on here?! Who's the monkey?!"
"Simba's gone back along with the Guardians to face Scar." Nala explained.
"Who?" Timon inquired.
"The Guardians." Nala elucidated.
"Who are the Guardians?" Pumbaa asked.
"Sora and his friends." Nala answered.
"So those kids are Simba's legal guardians?" Timon inquired.
"No no! That's what they're really called. They've gone with Simba to face Scar."
"Who?" Timon looked even more confused.
"Scar." Nala answered.
"Who's got a scar?" Timon looked just as confused.
"No no no." Nala shook her head."It's his uncle."
"The monkey's his uncle?" Timon inquired, being completely off.
"No! Simba gone back with Sora and the others, to challenge his uncle to take his place as king." Nala clarified on course and straight to the point.
After a quick pause. Timon and Pumbaa finally understood as they both said. "Ooooh."
Which means they need to be there for Simba. All of them. Because he will need all the help he can get to face Scar. And what's in his fold.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW FOLKS!
I have plans for the last chapter of The Pride Lands. But let me know if you all have great ideas for me to use as well.
Also I went with the movie version of these scenes and made no reference to the Live Action version.
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight is song at night! It's not called Can You Feel The Love In The Middle Of the Afternoon-ish!" Maverick criticized.
Got that right!
Anyhow. I'll have the next chapter ready soon don't you worry. And as for any Timon and Pumbaa ideas you wantes for this story. I will do in one shots. Rhis won't be the last of the Guardians antics with thw two buddies of No Worries.
Thank you all so much for reading. Be sure to leave comments and let me know your thoughts.
And as Always Disney/Square Enix fans! Hakuna Matata! And...
FISTBUMP!
