Time to Meet the New Crews!
Silence. That was the only sound coming out of the champions' mouths as their jaws dropped at the news.
This whole time they were travelling with the Alola Champion and not only was it with their favourite wandering chaos magnet, but said chaos magnet was the champion of the Alola League. After six regions, he finally became a champion.
The shock was so big that they could only do one thing: faint from the news.
Everyone looked at the fainted champions with mildly shocked expressions.
"They looked like they were KO'ed by a One hit move." Kukui remarked.
"Why were they so shocked?" Kiawe couldn't help but ask.
"It doesn't matter. Let's just get them to the hotel. Maybe they'll get some sense back to help with the League preparations.
And with that, they called a taxi to take the catatonic champions back to the hotel.
"Now then' Mallow turned to Ash. ``What did you mean by 'you already met the champions already?"
Soon, Ash was surrounded by his friends, who were wondering the same thing.
It was early in the morning and all of the champions made their way to the dining hall, all looking rather ragged and tired from yesterday.
"Hey, I had the weirdest dream." LAnce moaned, flopping into his chair.
"Let me guess? Ash Ketchum being champion of the Alola region? 'Cause I had it to." Steven remarked, grabbing a banana and peeling it for his breakfast
"Really? Same here. I think yesterday was a big fever dream" Wallace moaned, resting his head onto his arms.
The others were about to comment when suddenly they heard someone comment.
"Can you believe that the other champions are here?" A passerby said excitedly
"I know. Maybe we can finally be able to get this region recognised. And with our new champion, we may be one step closer to doing so." Another added
Cynthia was curious and approached them, wanting to ask.
"Really? So who is the champion?" Cynthia asked, a mug of coffee in her hand.
"Oh, his name is Ash Ketchum. A kid from Kanto that managed to show the thrill of battle to us."
The champions' eyes all widened.
"You're serious?!" Lance said as he looked in his eyes.
"Yep. I was there. He took on the Masked Royal and boy was it a battle to remember." He replied. Soon a couple approached them, having heard the conversation.
"Yeah. He managed to beat Tapu Koko with that Pikachu of his. Can't say he didn't deserve the title. Beating a deity...automatic respect." the female of the couple replied. Next a teen added his thoughts.
"If it weren't for him, Alola wouldn't be recognised as a proper region. I am thankful he came here." The teen spoke and soon it travelled around the room. The champions had to leave so they could gather their thoughts
The champions were once again silent. It wasn't a dream. It was real.
"Ash really is the champion?!" Lance exclaimed.
"I...I...I don't believe it!" Cynthia exclaimed.
"After breakfast we go and find Ash to congratulate him, agreed?" Diantha said
"Agreed!"
Meanwhile, Ash was currently seated at his table with his classmates, who were in the middle of an interrogation.
"Ash, what did you mean by you met them on your journeys?" Kiawe began as he bored his eyes into his skull
"It's like I said: I met them on my journeys, saw them battle and battled them myself. They aren't anything special. They are just REALLY strong trainers."
"But they're champions! I mean, didn't you treat them with respect?" Lana asked
"As fellow trainers, yeah!' Ash then paused to think about something. 'Except for Alder, who ended up falling asleep during our match." (Alder sneezed, thinking someone was talking about him in a not so nice manner.)
"Also, why didn't you tell us?!" Mallow shouted.
"You didn't ask," Ash replied, causing everyone to fall down in an anime fashion.
"That's enough! As much as this is amusing, I would like for us to get on with the lesson. Ash, the champions also want to talk with you. They want to try and help with the creation of the Alola league."
"OK professor!" Ash spoke in his cheery manner.
Soon the lesson began, with everyone's thoughts being
"How much do we really know about Ash?"
After breakfast, all seven champions made their way out of the hotel, all the while waving to the cameras and signing autographs.
"Since we are here, let's have our partners walk with us. They should enjoy the sun too." Alder suggested
They all agreed and flung their PokéBalls into air releasing their aces:
Lance's Dragonite hovered in the air before landing, letting out a brief grunt in relaxation from the soothing heat.
Steven's Metagross landed with a heavy THUMP, its gaze analysing it's current situation
Wallace's Milotic spun once in the air before landing gracefully. She then felt the heat of the sun and looked to see if there was any water.
Cynthia's Garchomp landed with a loud THUMP, growling as it analysed her surroundings.
Alder's Bouffalant was next as it immediately went to munch on some bananas left out.
Diantha's Gardevior landed with the grace of a ballerina, before surveying the area.
Leon's Charizard let out a growl before stretching his wings.
"Alright, let's go and find Ash!" Leon said in a happy manner and went off down the road, hoping to find Ash. Charizard just sighed in annoyance and flew to follow his trainer, hoping he doesn't get lost.
"We better follow him…" Diantha sighed and they took off to find the Galar Champion before he ended up in the woods someplace.
Ash was currently at the beach, playing with a one year old tanned skin boy with brown hair and eyes. The baby was currently wearing a green onesie with a pikachu face on the front and was gurgling in happiness. This was Lei, Kukui's son and Ash's baby pseudo-brother.
"Hey Lei, guess what? Some old friends are meeting your champion brother. Can you believe that? I haven't seen them in forever and I shocked them all with my new title." He spoke in a gentle tone.
Lei gurgled in happiness as he tried to reach Ash, with Pikachu getting his attention with weird faces.
"How about you meet them? See who I look up to?" Ash said to which the baby cheered in agreement.
Ash grinned in happiness. "Nice! I hope they know where we are!"
"ASH!" A robotic voice reang through the area. It was a red pentagon with a spike appearing on top of its head and had two arms sticking out. On the screen was a pair of oval shaped blue eyes and a mouth
"CHAMPIONS! THEY ARE COMING!" He said frantically.
"Calm down, Rotom.' He spoke in an easy manner. He then picked up Lei. 'COme on Lei, let's go" He said, picking him up and placing him into his pram, taking off to see the rest of the champions.
The champions were currently walking to the beach with their pokémon when they saw Ash pushing a stroller
"Hey guys!" Ash called out in his usual joyful manner
"Good to see you Ash.' Diantha spoke with a gentle smile. She then noticed the little kid, cuddling the Pikachu plushy. 'And who is this little cutie?" She asked as her eyes gleamed.
"Meet Lei! My new baby brother is from a different family!" He said.
The baby boy began gurgling, stretching her hands to the champions. Soon Diantha began to coo and play with the little child.
Lance decided to nip the topic in the bud.
"So Ash, we heard that you are really the new champion of Alola?" He asked in a serious manner.
"Yep!" He said in a happy-go-lucky manner. But then he noticed the serious looks on all of the champions' faces. Diantha even stopped playing with Lei.
"Uhhh, is something wrong?" Ash asked in a confused tone.
Suddenly, Ash was wrapped in the arms of Cynthia, much to his shock.
"I am so freaking proud of you!" She squealed in happiness.
That was it. The rest of the champions began wrapping Ash in their embraces congratulating him on the win.
"After a long time. Guess this was the surprise Goodshow was referring to." Said Lance
"I always knew you had the potential since Kalos!" Steven remarked
"Darling, you deserved the title!" Wallace proclaimed
"Hahahaha! Ashton, you do a trainer proud!" Alder bellowed out in a hearty manner
"I am so proud! I was hoping you would win!" Diantha exclaimed.
"Guess that explains your Pikachu, right mate?" Leon laughed.
Ash blushed in embarrassment. "Aww, you're embarrassing me!"
When they let go, Ash had an idea.
"Say, you guys want to see the Pokémon that helped me win?"
They all agreed.
Meanwhile, Rotom Dex was spazzing out.
"I DON'T BELIEVE IT! THE CHAMPIONS' ACES! NEED DATA!" He said as he began taking pictures of them, much to their confusion and annoyance.
Ash noticed this and deadpanned.
"Maybe we should wait until Rotom stops acting like a loon…" He muttered
"Pika…" Pikachu agreed in a deadpanned manner.
All the champions saw Rotom Dex and sweatdropped at the sight.
"Uhhh...who the hell is this?" Leon said.
"I AM ROTOM DEX! THE LATEST VERSION OF ROTOM!" He said with a proud manner.
"Yeah...I'll stick with my Rotom phone…" Leon said in a deadpanned manner
After that ordeal, the champions and their partners were by the beach with Ash holding a few of his Pokéballs ready. Lei was in the arms of Cynthia, who was currently playing with her hair
"Alright guys. I hope you are ready. This is the team that won me the League!"
Ash then took off his bag to reveal the first member
"Say hello to Rowlet!"
The bag opened to reveal a tiny owl with beige and green feathers, a green bowtie plus orange talons. It was currently having his eyes closed. All of the champions and their partners moved closer to get a better look.
"Oh my, looks like someone is rather sleepy." Diantha commented
"Yeah, Rowlet loves to sleep a lot, especially in my backpack." Ash said with a sweatdrop.
"ROWLET IS ONE ULTIMATE SLEEPYHEAD!" Rotom Dex chimed in as Ash took Rowlet out of the bag.
"OK, Rowlet. Wakey-wakey! Meet the rest of the champions!" Rowlet said as he presented the owl to the rest of the champions
Rowlet was silent before…
"Brr?" Rowlet chirruped sleepily as he tilted his head.
Alder then guffawed at the action.
"Talk about being relaxed!"
Soon Garchomp and Charizard smirked as a cheeky idea came to mind. As they approached Rowlet, they took in a large breath and...
*RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!*
...roared that it caused the beach to shift from the power of the sound. When they stopped they were expecting for Rowlet to be wide awake and screaming. Instead…
"Brrr?" Rowlet tilted his head again in a sleepy manner.
Charizard and Garchomp's jaws dropped in shock. That wasn't supposed to happen.
"Wow. Not even that double roar could faze Rowlet. He's so chill." Cynthia snickered as she adjusted her hold on Lei
Ash then took Rowlet back as he sweatdropped.
"Yeah, Rowlet SURE loves to sleep." He said as Pikachu also agreed.
"So, this one hadn't evolved yet managed to help you win the league?" Lance asked as he stroked his chin. MEanwhile, Charizard and GArchomp stomped off to sulk over their failed joke.
"Yep! Took down both a Decidueye and in the exhibition, took down a Braviary!' Ash said in a proud tone, before grimacing over a certain memory. 'Though his sleeping habits nearly cost me the match against Hau…"
"That is rather impressive." Diantha said.
"Yep. Rowlet ended up being rather popular." Ash said. Rowlet then began to fly out of Ash's hands.
"BR-R-R-R-R…" He chirruped as he floated out before dropping onto Ash's head.
"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr…." ROwlet crooned as he showed a rather blissful look with a pink blush.
"Say Rowlet? Why don't you sleep on Bouffalant's mane" Ash said with a sweatdrop.
"Brr?" Rowlet then tilted his head in confusion.
"Yeah, that mane is large and comfortable." Ash said with a cheeky grin. Rowlet then flew to where Bouffalant was and immediately perched on Bouffalant's large mane, snoring away while the Bash Buffalo looked confused and uncertain.
Alder couldn't help but laugh at the misfortune his Normal-Type had.
Ash then decided to throw the next capsule, revealing a canine with orange and white fur, sticking out like grags. It also had green eyes and was currently looking ready to play.
"Next up is Lycanroc! The one that won me the league!" Ash spoke in a proud tone. Lycanroc yelped in happiness and proceeded to lick Ash in affection.
"Oh my! I saw Lycanrocs in the guide but they didn't look like this." Cynthia spoke in awe, rubbing Lycanroc's head, much to it's affection. Lei then reached to pet his head. Lycanroc, being the playful wolf he was licked Lei in affection, causing the baby to laugh in affection
"That is Lycanroc's Dusk Form. The first of its kind."
Cynthia chuckled as she shook her head.
"Only you Ash…"
"What can I say?' Ash said, while rubbing the back of his head. 'I always get unique ones. Especially when Lycanroc helped me win the league. Man, that trophy felt good in my hands…"
Diantha then decided to scratch the chin of Lycanroc.
"You know, I would love to see how it happened." she said
"Don't worry. RotomDex recorded everything." Ash said while Rotom puffed with pride.
Ash then threw the third Pokéball revealing a tall, muscular bipedal red tiger with a wild look and a red belt with a flame on it's stomach. It roared out as he puffed it's chest.
"Meet Incineroar! The new strongest Incineroar in all of Alola!"
Diantha chuckled at the flamboyant behaviour presented by the cat.
"Someone is a show off, right Gardevior?" she remarked turning to her partner but her face morphed to mild shock.
Gardevior was looking at Incineroar with a glassy look, open mouth and a light blush on her face. In her vision, there were sparkles surrounding the fire cat as he slowly began flexing. Soon Incineroar looked at the other aces, seeing any challenges among them. His eyes then caught sight of Gardevior, causing him to lower his aggressive stance as his face felt warm. Time stood still for the two as they walked closer, getting lost in their eyes. However, the voice of their trainers snapped them out of their states.
"Well. I think someone's got struck with Attract~" Ash spoke in a teasing tone, causing the flame tiger to suddenly jolt in shock.
"Oh my. Are you feeling something for Incineroar?" She teased, causing the emotion Pokémon to also jolt.
They both looked away with flushed faces, clearly embarrassed. But they both exchanged shy looks.
"So...The new strongest Incineroar, huh?" Diantha said with a smirk.
"Yep. Took down Professor Kukui's Incineroar and evolved as a result. Never did get a chance to see how well he could battle though."
Ash then held two more Pokéballs...though one was blue and yellow.
"Uhh, Ash? Why is one of them different?" Lance asked, pointing at the Beast Ball.
Ash smirked.
"Trust me these two are special." He threw the regular Pokéball first revealing a giant that looked like it was made of liquid metal with a giant hex nut for a head with a black dot for an eye and two arms that looked like a pair of tyres for arms. It also had a wire for a tail.
Steven looked like he was about to have a heart attack.
"Say hello to Melmetal, an ancient Pokémon!"
Steven then walked up to Ash, moving like a robot.
"Ash. You. Had. A. Mythical. Steel-Type. This. Whole. TIME?!" He asked in a robotic manner as he began shaking his shoulders, a manic look in his eyes.
"You. Never. Asked!" Ash replied as he was getting dizzy from being shaken like a rag doll.
Melmetal then slammed its fists in joy then soon began to flex its muscles.
"Those metallic muscles…"
Melmetal then stretched its right arm high as he flexed.
"That glistening shine…"
The giant then flexed forward, flexing his arms.
"That lovely shine...
Melmetal then curled his arm
OH I CAN'T TAKE IT! LET ME ANALYSE YOU!" Steven declared as he leapt at Melmetal. Luckily, Metagross used it's psychic to bring him back
"Meta…" It groaned out.
"Did you seriously have to act like that?" Lance groaned out as Steven rubbed his head sheepishly.
Rotom then decided to pipe in with Metagross's data
"Metagross, The Iron Leg Pokémon. A Steel and Psychic Type. Metagross is said to have four brains locked into it's body, giving it the intellect of a supercomputer. It's strong legs and claws can hold itself down to prevent it from moving."
"You know, Prof. Oak did mention an ancient species being re-discovered. This is it?" Cynthia said with a thoughtful look
"Yep. Melmetal could hold his own well. With more training, he'll be unstoppable." Ash commented as Melmetal placed his arms on his hips, looking proud.
"So Ash' Lance began to ask 'Who is your last POkémon?"
"It's not technically a Pokémon but I still consider it one. Come on out!" Ash said as he threw the ball into the air.
As the light blasted out, there was silence until…
"NAGANA!" A figure swooped down and blitzed past the champions and their Pokémon. Soon it began flying at high speeds in the air before coming to a stop in front of them.
To their shock, the being was a purple insect-like dragon with a pair of scythe like wings, a thin upper body with two thin claws and a large, round lower body with three stingers at the end. On its face was an aqua visor and a pair of mandibles.
"Wh-Wh-Wh-WHAT THE HELL?!" Lance exclaimed in shock
"What on earth is that thing?!" Steven spoke in a surprised manner
"Meet Naganadel!" Ash said in happiness as the Ultra Beast began spinning in place.
All of the champions were looking at the Ultra Beast in shock and awe.
"I don't think that is a Pokémon…" Leon said
"That's because it isn't." Rotom piped up showing a display of a weird wormhole on its screen
Ash then piped up.
"Naganadel is called an Ultra Beast, Pokémon that exist in another dimension. During my time, my friends and I had to find them and get them back into their own dimension. It wasn't easy, let me tell you that."
"Hold on.' Cynthia said in a no nonsense manner. 'Ash. You wouldn't have something to do with this whole Ultra Beast thing. Did you?"
Ash soon began to sweat. "Uhhhh…." Soon Lance, Cynthia and Diantha face palmed, groaning at the realisation
"Seriously. Can't you go one journey without being involved in some world ending plot?" Lance groaned into his hand.
"I can't help it if I'm a magnet for chaos!" Ash spoke indignantly.
"Or that hero complex of yours." Cynthia also added.
"Look, we just don't want you getting hurt." Diantha said with her hands on his shoulders. She had a look in her eyes which screamed protective older sister.
"Look, you know I can't promise that. If someone needs help, then I'll be there to help." Ash said defiantly.
Diantha was silent but she just smiled.
"Fine. Just...try not to get into too many shenanigans, alright?" DIantha said.
"I'll try."
Leon decided to change the subject before things got heavy
"SO. This is the team that won the Alola League?" He said.
"Oh yeah! They managed to help me win! Alola was the only place where I won! Man, I still couldn't believe the victory. I still pinch myself to make sure it wasn't a dream!
The champions were impressed. This must be some team for him to become the first champion.
"However, it turns out I attracted more Pokémon when I came back to Alola."
Ash then revealed more Pokéballs
Throwing the first one was a toucan with a large beak with a large beak with four stripes going vertical, a white marking covering its chin and chest, and a half-circle, yellow marking on each cheek. He was clearly old as his feather were slightly grey
"This is Toucannon, Rowlet's pop!" He said as the toucan let out a low caw and bowed in respect.
"You managed to get Rowlet's dad to come with you?" Steven said as Toucannon went to where Rowlet was, alerting the owl awake with a tap of his beak.
"Yep. There is still a lot for Toucannon to teach him. Luckily, the rest of the flock decided to move near here. He is pretty skilled though. Taught Rowlet a lot of his moves." Ash said as Toucannon began napping in Bouffalant's mane.
Ash then launched another Pokéball, revealing a pink and light green mushroom with black eyes and two thin arms. Diantha soon crouched down, interested in such a being.
"And who is this cutie?" She said, rubbing the cap, causing it to giggle
"Meet Shiinotic. I met this girl when I went camping." Ash spoke as he watched the mushroom absorb all of the attention from Diantha
"So...how did you help her?" Cynthia said with a knowing smirk.
"Huh?" Ash said with a cute tilt.
"Come on. Most of your Pokémon come with you because you helped them or saved them." She clarified.
"OH! Helped her restore an old tree." Ash said with a proud manner.
"By planting new roots or killing any weeds?" Wallace asked
"Nope! By allowing her to drain my energy to restore it!" He said with the same tone. The champions were silent before deadpanning. That shouldn't be a surprise.
"Anyways...here is the next one!" Ash said as he threw the capsule. When it opened, it revealed a tall, bipedal arthropod with a light blue shell and grey underbelly. It has rather wide forearms with two claws on each one and a narrowed glare with purple antenna sticking out. It also stood with a calm expression, looking at the champions who were also analysing the being.
"Oh my. A calm expression like the body of a lake. Tell me, who is this magnificent creature?"
"Meet Golisopod. Met him after he got trapped between some rocks!" Ash said as Golisopod bowed with discipline.
Wallace nodded his head in approval. He appreciated the discipline of the Pokémon
"Now then, you may want to crane your necks for this one." Ash said as he threw the ball into the air. What it revealed was an Exeggutor, only its neck was very long and it had more of a dino like build with a green bulb with a face on it.
"Ex-eeg…" he droned, stomping his feet in happiness.
"HUGE!" Leon said as his eyes bugged out of his skull.
"An Exeggutor? Never expected that." Steven remarked
"Yep! Met him on an island. Had some fun times riding him." Ash said with a wide smile.
Cynthia then remembered something.
"Say Ash? Aren't they Dragon Type?"
Lance immediately moved in front of Ash, who looked nervous.
"Uhhhh...yeah?"
"Can you show me where the island is?" He asked, eyes sparkling at the thought.
"Uhh…" Ash was starting to get nervous by the look.
Diantha meanwhile was admonishing Cynthia.
"Oh well done. You just made Ash scared of Lance now(!)" Cynthia just rubbed her head in embarrassment.
Leon quickly grabbed Lance by the back of his cloak, bringing him back.
"Anyways...Who else do you have?" Leon asked
Ash held the ball in his hand and flung it upward.
"How's about a fun playmate?"
When it opened, it revealed a black and white lemur with a yellow helmet that had an orange leaf on the front of it. Its shoulders had two green leaves. In his hands was a yellow coconut.
"Say hello to Passimian!" He said as the lemur backflipped and let out a cry in greetings. Leon immediately took a liking to him.
"Woah-ho-ho! Talk about a wild spirit! This guy must love to play!"
Ash nodded in agreement.
"Yeah! I managed to get them to play some football with some fruit. They were great fun...right up until they tried to get me to join their tribe."
Soon all of the champions were curious about that.
"How so?" Leon asked with a tilt of his head.
RotomDex then chimed in
"SIMPLE! ASH PRETENDED TO BE A PASSIMIAN AND PLAYED WITH THEM!" RotomDex said as he showed the pictures.
Seeing the pictures got some responses from them.
"AWWWW! HOW ADORABLE!" Cynthia said as she and Diantha gushed at the make-up Ash had.
"You look so cute!" Diantha added. With the male champions, they couldn't help but chuckle.
"PPFFFFFTTT! NICE OUTFIT! TRYING TO START A NEW TREND?!" Alder bellowed, much to his embarrassment. Luckily, the female champions intervened. By dragging him by the ears.
"Oh clam it you old geezer!" They both yelled.
Ash then revealed a final PokéBall.
"Anyways...here is the last one. This guy wanted me to make him the strongest." Ash said as he flung the ball into the air. It revealed a large, bipedal grey dragon with gold and yellow scales. It had a beak like snout and a jagged jaw. It also had very large claws and a narrowed gaze.
Lance immediately looked immersed.
Ash then introduced him. "Meet Kommo-o! He came to me to train him to become strong! And I did just that!"
Kommo-o just looked around for any challengers...then noticed the forms of Garchomp and Dragonite.
Smirking, he dove straight in with a battle cry.
"KOMMMO!" He yelled as he dove in with a pair of Thunder Punches. Luckily, Garchomp and Charizard blocked the attacks with a fin and their own Thunder Punch. Flinging him back, Kommo-o was about to charge again and both Garchomp and Charizard were ready. Luckily, their trainers ran interference
"HEY! NO FIGHTING KOMMO-O!"
"ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH GARCHOMP!"
"HEY EASE BACK! EASE BACK, CHARIZARD!"
The three brawling reptiles stopped but glared at each other. The message was clear: Let's finish this later…
"Sorry. Kommo-o is kinda a battle nut…" Ash said as he rubbed the back of his head
"That's alright, Ash' Cynthia said before smirking. 'Though we could have a little spar, later." Ash shared the same grin.
"You're on.' Ash then gathered the new guys. 'So yeah. These guys are who I befriended in Alola. Never thought they would come here to join my family, but hey. Anyone is welcome!" Ash said as everyone began nuzzling their trainer in affection. Except for Kommo-o but he smirked in recognition.
All the other champions smiled at the adorable scene. It was nice to know that he hadn't changed that air of innocence he had despite all of the shenanigans he went through.
Suddenly Leon perked up.
"Hey wait. Weren't you also working as a research assistant?"
That got the rest of the champions' attention.
"Yep. Before the World Tournament got put on hold, I made a few new friends."
Ash revealed the last set of Pokéballs he had on him.
"Here are the new guys."
The first Pokémon revealed caused Lance's eyes to widen. It revealed a smiling Dragonite that immediately dived straight to Lance in a hug.
"BWOAR!" She cheered in joy as the dragon embraced Lance in joy.
"A DRAGONITE?! YOU CAUGHT A DRAGONITE?!" Lance yelled in a high pitched tone from the arms of the friendly dragon
"Yep! You surprised?" Ash said while watching Dragonite squeeze the life out of the 'dragon' master.
"Extremely! Now can you tell her to let go?! I think my lungs are being crushed" He gasped out from the confines of the friendly dragon
"Sorry about that. Dragonite is extremely friendly."
"Friendly'' is an understatement! I think I cracked a rib!" Lance said, wincing in pain.
"Anyways...Here is the next one!" Ash said as he threw the Pokéball into the air, revealing a purple grinning ghost
"GENGAR-AR-AR-AR!" it snickered as it floated in the air.
"And a Gengar to?! Are you planning on capturing all of the Kanto elite 4's aces?" Lance questioned him.
"Oh please, I took Gengar in." Ash proclaimed, the ghost floating between Lance's Dragonite and Charizard, both dragons were trying to amack the annoying ghost away.
"How so?" Cynthia asked
Ash then scowled as he remembered that scrawny loser he encountered.
"Its old trainer abandoned it as he kept losing battles. Said Gengar was a curse and left it at the lab for three years. Gengar caused some trouble and nearly killed its old trainer. Honestly, I wanted to punch his face myself." He said. Gengar also scowled at the memory of his old trainer.
Soon the other champions scowled as well.
"So he believed in luck? What a joke." Lance said
"Tell me, dear. Do you know his name? I have half the mind to give him a few lessons." Wallace asked.
"No idea. He ran away like the Torchic he was." Ash said.
"But still,'' Cynthia said as she rubbed Gengar's head, 'It was nice of you to take Gengar in."
"Hey. I can't stand a Pokémon being abandoned. Course I'll take 'em in." Ash said with a smile. Gengar let out a joyful 'Gar' as he hovered behind Ash
Soon Ash held another ball.
"Here is member number three!" He said as he threw the ball into the air. It then revealed a blue, humanoid jackal that looked at the champions in curiosity.
"A Lucario?" Cynthia looked in curiosity
"Yep! Raised it from when it hatched!" Ash said with pride.
Lucario then began to analyse the Champions and their partners, seeing which ones were worthy for a fight.
"Hey, Lucario. You can spar with them later. I want to introduce the rest of the team." Ash said
Lucario looked put off but relented, going off to sit in the sand as it stared at the champions.
"Anyways, I would like for you to meet the next member. The knight! Sirfetch'd!" Ash said as he threw the ball into the air, revealing a white duck holding a leafy shield and leek sword.
All of the champions, barring Leon, looked at the duck in interest.
"A Sirfetch'd? Say, I heard that was an evolution to the Galarian Farfetch'd right?" Lance asked as he placed a hand under his chin in thought.
"You're right mate. Sirfetch'd are a regional evolution, much like the ones in Sinnoh. Pretty sound and honest, like the knights of old." Leon said
The champion all looked at him in wonder.
"What? Sonia made me study Galar's history. I couldn't say no." Leon said, crossing his arms
"Guess you do know more things than battling." Cynthia noted, causing Leon to puff up in pride.
"Now all we need is for you to know how to read a map" She added.
And like that, his pride dropped.
"DON'T RUB IT IN!" He yelled childishly.
Sirfecth'd meanwhile looked at the two female champions with a sort of glare, making them feel uneasy
"Umm...why is it staring at us?" Diantha asked.
Soon Sirfetch'd pointed its sword into the air...and bowed in respect
"Oh my. Someone is respectable." Cynthia said
"Like I said. Chivalrous and respectable." Leon replied.
"And now for the last member!" Ash said as he threw the ball into the air. A resounding 'CHOMP!' filled the air
"OW, MY HEAD!"
What was revealed, really shocked the champions and their aces. Specifically, the dragon-types and lone water type
It was an...odd creature with a pair of legs attached to a spiky tail...with a fish head attached to the end. It had beady eyes and a pair of tiny flippers as well as a pair of big jaws.
"DRA! DRACO! DRACO!" It garbled as it bit Ash's head in happiness
Ash was currently flailing inside its mouth
"AW COME ON, DRACOVISH! I AM NOT A SNACK!" He yelled from inside.
Meanwhile, a blue haired man flinched.
"Something wrong?" His partner asked.
"I feel like someone is going through something I did." he replies
After getting his head out, Wallace coughed in awkwardness.
"Umm Ash. What is...that?" He asked.
"Meet Dracovish. A fossil Pokémon...and someone that loves to bite my head when I send him out." He said with a resigned look.
Wallace simply looked at the frankenstein like fish as it also stared back with its beady eyes. There was no way that thing could be real.
"Is this a water type? Because it is one odd looking Water Type." He asked
"Water/Dragon type." Ash answered, patting the fish's head. Lance and Dragonite just looked at Dracovish in uneasy shock
"That's a dragon-type?" Lance asked in confusion.
Meanwhile, Milotic was watching with apprehension at the creature. Most water types were the epitome of beauty. This thing looked like an abomination of science. Dracovish then started to roll around in the sand before charging into the water.
"Yep. Restored it from fossils in Galar. Went on a rampage only to find it wanted to swim. It tagged along."
"Say Leon. You know anything…" Lance said but then he noticed Leon looking a bit...apprehensive.
"Uhhh...something wrong?"
"Let's just say...I have bad memories with a Dracovish…" he said mysteriously.
Lance stared at him for a while before turning back to Ash.
"So. These are your new Pokémon? I must say, you have a strong team."
"Thanks! They got me through the league, easy! That trophy felt nice in my hands. TO this day, I had to pinch myself to make sure it wasn't a dream."
"But now...I have a request." Ash said with determination.
Soon all of the champions began to smirk.
"You want to battle one of us?" Cynthia said in an amused tone.
"Yep!"
"Well then...who do you want to battle?" Leon said as he got a battle hungry smirk on their faces. Everyone else also got ready to battle.
Dragonite had a look of determination as he flexed his claws
Metagross hovered in the air as it glowed with psychic energy
Milotic wrapped around Wallace as she let out a low hum
Garchomp bared her fangs after rolling her shoulders
Bouffalant stomped on the ground in anticipation
Gardevior smiled as two orbs appeared in her hands
Charizard began letting out wisps of flame appear from his mouth, cracking his knuckles.
After a few seconds, he chose.
"I think we need to complete our battle, Diantha." Ash said with a grin.
Diantha returned his smile.
"It will be my pleasure".
