When Goodshow announced to the other Champions Alola has a new champion, they expected to be an experienced trainer like them. They didn't expect it to be the chaotic wanderer with a lot of potential to be it. Join Ash as he goes on misadventures with the other champions as they help him adjust to the role of champion of Alola while Ash helps them out in his own chaotic way.

Kontinuing the Klash in Kalos!

Ash and the rest of the Champions made their way to the stadium, where they were going for Ash and Diantha's battle.

"So' Diantha began as she looked around. 'This is where we'll be battling?"

"Yep! Got permission from Kukui to use this. When he found out about our battle, he was ecstatic!" Ash answered.

Suddenly, they heard Kukui laugh out.

"That's right! This battle will be as electrifying like a thunderbolt! In fact, I asked the rest of the class if they wanted to watch your match!"

Soon, they all saw the rest of the class looking excited at the match.

"You don't mind?" he said

"Nah! Hey, maybe you can get the whole of Alola to watch! It will be more awesome and a spectacle to remember!" Ash said with stars in his eyes

"Maybe even bigger than our match!" Kukui replied with just as much vigor. 'We may need some time to get everything ready. Until then, you better get your team ready!"

"Right!" Ash said

And with that, Ash ran off to get ready, yelling at this will be an awesome match.

Lance shook his head in amusement.

"He is such a wild child," Lance replied.

"You got that right. Chaotic as hell but I wouldn't want it any other way."

Cynthia noticed the look in his eyes. It was the kind of fatherly longing

"You care about him, don't you," Cynthia said

"Is it that obvious?" Kukui replied.

"Yeah. All of us had the same look," she said, with Kukui looking slightly surprised.

"Really?"

Diantha then replied.

"He may not show it, but Ash went through more hell than a 16-year-old should go through. Facing poachers, legendaries and evil teams. Especially after Kalos." Diantha said with a pained look. All the champions had an idea of what happened and felt sympathy for Diantha.

"Yeah...Something did happen in Kalos but I never got the whole story. Ash just clammed up and refused to talk about it. I figured he didn't want anyone to find out so I didn't push."

"Good idea," Lance replied. 'We figured that Alola will be a good place for him to relax and forget about his past journeys and the craziness he went through. We never expected him to become champion though. He always came clutch in the other regions but he always fell short."

"I still say he should've won the Sinnoh League…" Cynthia said with a pout.

"You still salty about Tobias winning?" Leon remarked

"Is it that obvious? Just be lucky I took him down and ended up exposing the fact he obtained them through illegal means." She said.

"But still' Leon said with a smile. 'Let's forget about the doom and gloom! Diantha, you need to prepare and give the region a Champion Time!"

Diantha smiled and nodded her head. "Right. I have the battle to prepare."

And with that, Diantha went off to get her team ready to battle.

The next few days passed, it was time for Ash and Diantha's long-awaited rematch and it got a lot of attention in the region. Not only were The Kukui family there but also, Ash's classmates, the trial captains, the Kahunas, Hau, Gladion, all of the people Ash had met in Alola were there as well. Even Guzma and Team Skull took time to see the match. Not only that, Ash's mother and Professor Oak had visited when they got the news. And they brought along some special guests.

The first two were male and female. The girl had orange hair done in a spiky pigtail, pale skin, and green eyes. She wore a yellow tank top, blue jean shorts that were attached to a pair of red over-the-shoulder straps, and a pair of red sneakers. Next to her was a tall, dark-skinned male with squinty eyes and spiky, black hair. He wore an orange t-shirt under a green flak jacket, brown khakis, and a pair of blue trainers. These were Misty Waterflower and Brock Harrison, two Kanto gym leaders and Ash's first traveling companions.

"All right guys! Welcome to Alola!" Misty exclaimed as a lot more people exited the plane.

"Oh Misty, me and the Professor have already been here." A joyful voice spoke up. The speaker was a beautiful woman in her 30s with pale skin, brown hair done in a ponytail plus a pair of amber eyes that showed youth wearing a yellow and red sundress under a white jacket and brown sandals. Next to her was an elderly gentleman with grey hair and blue eyes that also showed signs of youth despite his age. He was wearing a yellow and red Hawaiian shirt and a pair of grey shorts with brown sandals. These were Delia Ketchum, Ash's mother, and Professor Oak.

"Indeed. This region isn't new to us. But it is always a wonderful sight to see.".

Soon a lot more people began to exit the boat.

The first was a male with black hair and brown eyes. His forehead had a red headband on it and he was currently wearing a green shirt and red shorts along with a pair of green sneakers. This was Tracey Sketchit, Oak's assistant.

Next to come out were a pair of siblings. The eldest was a female with brown, chin-length hair that went in alternating directions and a pair of blue eyes. She wore an orange vest with no sleeves over a black T-shirt, a pair of blue biker shorts, and red high-tops. On her hands were a pair of white and blue gloves while she wore a green bandanna around her head. Next to her was a young boy with blue hair and black eyes. On his face were a pair of glasses. He was currently wearing a blue hoodie over a white T-shirt, black jeans, and a pair of blue sneakers. On his hands were a pair of black fingerless gloves. These were May and Max Maple, Ash's Hoenn companions.

The fifth was a girl with long blue hair and blue eyes. She was currently wearing a neon pink tank top under a blue latex jacket. She also had on a pink skirt plus white boots. Next to her was a blue penguin. This was Ash's Sinnoh companion Dawn and her partner, Piplup.

The next two were also male and female. The girl was a dark-skinned girl with large purple hair and brown eyes. She wore a long-sleeved white shirt with pink highlights, white leggings, and beige sandals. The male was tall and skinny with green hair and eyes. He wore a white shirt under a black vest with black slacks and brown smart shoes. These were Iris Dragule and Cilan Dent, Ash's Unova companions.

The final set of the traveling companions were a trio. One was a female with honey-blonde hair that was extremely short and blue eyes. She wore a red tank top under a pink vest. She also had a pair of white shorts and trainers. The next was a male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore glasses on his face and had on a blue jumpsuit. On his back was a strange backpack. Finally, it was a young girl around Max's age that shared characteristics with the male of the trio. Only she had orange highlights and wore a grey sundress. She also had a pair of yellow sandals and a small, yellow bag. Popping out was an orange little round mouse with whiskers shaped like aerials. These were Serena Yvonne, Clemont, and Bonnie Sparks and Bonnie's partner, Dedenne, Ash's Kalos companions.

But they weren't the only people that came along.

The first was a young man with spiky brown hair and black eyes. He was wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, white pants, and black sneakers. He also had two purple wristbands and a purple gem around his neck. This was Gary Oak, Prof. Oak's grandson.

Next was a purple-haired man with black eyes and a scowl on his face. He was wearing a sleeveless blue jacket over a purple T-shirt with black jeans and trainers. This was Paul Slate, Ash's rival from Sinnoh.

Next was a dirty-blonde-haired male with pale grey eyes, dressed in an orange hoodie and beige shorts and blue trainers. On his wrist was a watch. This was Trip Shooter, Ash's rival from Unova.

Finally, there was a tall male with charcoal black hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt, black jeans, and walking boots. He also was wearing brown fingerless gloves as well as a black ring with a stone in it. This was Alain Blaze, Ash's Kalos rival

"So this is Alola?" Alain asked in curiosity as he saw the crystal blue ocean when they exited the boat.

"Hmph. The place seems too peaceful for someone like Ash" Paul grunted out.

"But you gotta admit. This place is so relaxing." Max spoke.

"Indeed. Alola is a region filled with so many natural flavors, which is playing a symphony in my mind and heart!" Cilan said in his exaggerated manner.

"Cilan. No one cares." Iris deadpanned but even she was enamored by the atmosphere of Alola.

"Yep! Alola is a region that is all-natural. From the forests to the oceans. Now come on! Let's see why we got placed on this trip! Mrs. Ketchum said it was a surprise!" Misty exclaimed as they went to the entrance of the stadium.

Delia and Prof. Oak were talking to Kukui about something.

"Really? You think Ash will be able to handle it?" Prof. Oak questioned

"Well, he will have help from the others, so he won't have any issues. But I trust him. The region loves the kid" Kukui replied.

"Hey, Mrs. Ketchum!" Delia heard Misty call out.

"Oh hello everyone! You are waiting to go in?" Delia asked in her cheery manner.

"Yeah! What is this surprise anyways?" May asked.

"I mean all you said was there was a surprise in Alola when you called us to go on this trip!" Dawn added

"Well...why don't we go in. There is a battle to watch." Kukui said as he chuckled, all three adults heading inside. The teens looked at each other in confusion and followed them, hoping they would get some answers.

As soon as they entered they were greeted by the sounds of roaring crowds, thirsty for a battle.

"GEEZ! How loud are these guys?!" Iris said, plugging her ears.

"This battle must be special if it attracts this crowd," Max added, wincing from the sound.

They all took their seats where they soon caught the attention of a group of elite trainers.

"Well, well. Glad you could make it." Cynthia remarked playfully

They all turned and their eyes bugged out of their heads at the sight of the champions looking down at them with amused smirks.

"No way…" Brock breathed out

"The champions?!" Misty squealed out, especially at Wallace.

"What are you doing here?" Paul had to ask

"Well, we came to watch the match? What about you?" Leon replied back.

"Same reason. We got told to come here for an exhibition match by Mrs. Ketchum." May answered.

Alain soon noticed something.

"Hey, where's Diantha?" Alain asked.

The champions just smirked.

"Battling the Alola Champion." Cynthia simply said.

That soon caught their attention.

"Alola Champion? Who is…?" Max asked but soon he was cut off by the announcer.

" LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF ALOLA! AND WELCOME TO THE EXHIBITION MATCH OF THE AGES! WE HAVE A REAL TREAT AS OUR NEW CHAMPION WILL BATTLE ONE OF THE CHAMPIONS VISITING OUR LOVELY REGION! I HOPE YOU ARE READY FOR A CRAZY TIME! WHO IS WITH ME?!"

The crowd cheered in anticipation, along with the other champions.

"This must be one big event for the champions to cheer in excitement," Paul said in amazement as he saw Cynthia cheer the loudest.

" IN THIS CORNER! THE STAR OF KALOS WHO MADE THE BIG SCREEN GLOW BRIGHTER THAN A MINIOR! THE STRONGEST TRAINER OF KALOS! THE LEADING LADY HERSELF! DIANTHA DIAMANT!"

The crowd roared as Diantha walked out onto the field with the elegance of a princess at her coronation. She waved her hand to the screaming crowd.

"OH DIANTHA! YOU ARE SHINING AS BRIGHT AS THE STARS IN THE NIGHT SKY-OOF!" Brock went on a loved-filled tangent, only for Misty to slam her mallet on his head.

"Stop goofing around else you will get a shiner!" She snarled.

"So Diantha is battling the new champion?" Alain asked

"Yep. It was the request of the Alola champion himself." Lance replied, eager to see Ash battle at a champion level.

"But who is the champion of Alola?" Bonnie squealed out as she stamped the ground in frustration.

They were about to get the answer.

" AND HER OPPONENT! COMING FROM KANTO, HE MANAGED TO WIN THE HEARTS OF ALOLA! HE IS A BUNDLE OF CHAOS IN A SMALL FRAME! BUT DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HIM! HE IS HARDER TO PREDICT THAN A SPINDA! HE IS OUR FIRST CHAMPION AND GUARDIAN OF ALOLA! PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER! FOR THE ONE AND ONLY! ASH KETCHUM!"

"WHAT?!" Ash's friends and rivals screamed out at the announcement. They heard wrong, right?

The crowd roared like maniacs as a Garchomp began to dive bomb to the field. On the back with a manic grin was Ash standing on the back. Just as Garchomp was about to ascend, Ash and Pikachu performed a backflip off Garchomp's back, landing on the field, with a hand and a paw on the ground.

When Ash stood up, he was in a different outfit. First, he was wearing a blue tank top that clung to his lithe frame. On his shoulders were two tattoos: A Sun emblem and a moon emblem while his back had a picture of a giant Lion coming out of a wormhole. He also wore blue jeans and red high tops. Around his head was a blue bandanna while his Z- Power Ring was on his left wrist, while Pikachu was wearing his signature cap. He was grinning with anticipation.

Meanwhile, Ash's friends were looking shocked beyond belief.

"The Alola champion...is Ash?!" Brock started to say

"And he never told us?!" Misty added as fury started to etch into her voice. Ash had a LOT of explaining to do.

"Wait.' Gary began 'Was THIS the surprise you were talking about, Mrs. Ketchum?"

Soon everyone was looking at the grinning face of Delia.

"Oh, my Arceus...it was…" Max muttered.

Soon everyone began to watch the match, eager to see how far he came.

"Ash better not be slacking off in this match if he is now champion," Paul said, still stunned over the news of his rival being a champion.

The two trainers soon made their way to the center of the field for a quick chat.

"Well looks like you attracted quite a fanbase huh Ash?" Diantha said amused as they met in the middle of the field.

"Well then, shall we give them a battle to remember?" Ash said with a grin, eager to start. Both went back to their sides of the field, eager to begin the match.

Soon Kukui began to announce the rules.

"Alright, we are having a 6-on-6 match! Both sides may substitute and both Mega Evolution and Z-Moves are allowed! You two ready?"

"Say the word!/Let's do this thing!"

"OK. BATTLE!' Both primed their Pokéballs. Soon Kukui brought his arm down 'BEGIN!"

'Let's test Ash with an opening act before starting the match' Diantha thought as she threw the PokéBall.

"Gourgeist, let's give the fans a performance!"

Emerging from the ball was a gourd-shaped plant with a tiny face. It was rather average-sized and had a brown pumpkin for a body with a beige stalk. It also had pink tufts of vines coming from the top as well as a spooky face on the pumpkin.

"Gourgeist huh? I know just who to go for! Rowlet! I choose you!" Ash announced as he threw his Pokéball to reveal Rowlet. Only this time, Rowlet was wearing a green cloak and had a look of determination.

"RRRROOOWWWWW!" Rowlet chirruped as he spread his wings.

"Oh my. I see someone is trying to start a trend." Diantha commented as Rowlet hovered in the air.

"Yeah. Rowlet likes to wear that cloak. He is now Decidulet!" Ash said with a grin.

"Brr!" Rowlet chirruped as he puffed steam from his nose.

" IT'S A GRASS ON GRASS BATTLE BETWEEN DIANTHA'S GOURGEIST AND ASH'S ROWLET! MAYBE WE SHOULD PLAY WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE FOR THIS?!"The announcer said in excitement.

Meanwhile in the stands.

"OH, IT'S SO CUTE!" Bonnie gushed at the baby owl in its cloak and all of the girls agreed. Rowlet was adorable in his cloak. But that was ruined by Paul's cynical voice.

"Really? A first stage? Is Ash trying to lose?" Paul spoke in an unimpressed manner.

"Yeah. That Gourgeist is going to pummel him." Trip said in the same manner.

Soon they heard Brock.

"I don't know. Something tells me that Ash has something up his sleeve," he said

"That's right. That Rowlet has more power in him than you know." Kiawe said from behind him.

"Huh? Kiawe? I see you are watching the match as well." Brock said.

"Yeah. Trust me. Don't underestimate that Rowlet." Another voice spoke. When they turned around they saw a young man with wild white hair with red tips. He was dressed in red leather and was holding a guitar case.

"Who the hell are you?" Paul asked.

"Names Ryuki. Rockstar and dragon trainer legend in the making."

"Dragon trainer?!" Iris spoke in eagerness.

"Yep. Anyways, that Rowlet? You shouldn't underestimate it. He took down two of my Pokémon when I faced him and one of my Pokémon has a rivalry with him." he said.

"Don't forget Rowlet had help." Kiawe reminded Ryuki.

That got both Paul and Trip's attention. A Rowlet took down two dragons and won with some help? This made them wonder.

"Let's start things off. Gourgeist! Focus Blast!" Diantha commanded. Gourgeist then formed a large blue and red sphere and launched at the owl.

"Here it comes!" Ash yelled out and Rowlet began to fly above and around the blast...only to tilt his head as he fell asleep, snot bubble and all.

"Huh?" Diantha and Gourgeist looked shocked.

"Brr..brr...rr..." Rowlet sleepily chirped as he spun around then lowered onto the ground, the blast missing him completely.

Ash and Pikachu fell on the floor anime-style then rushed to Rowlet.

"YOU'RE SLEEPING?!/PI-PIKAAA!"

They yelled as Rowlet began to snore.

" Well...I guess someone missed their nap..." The announcer commented as the Alolans laughed at Rowlet's antics.

In the stands...

The Alola classmates, champions and Ash's entourage also fell anime style at the display.

"Is it seriously sleeping in battle?!" Misty yelled out.

"That's Rowlet for ya." Mallow said with a sweatdrop.

With the Champions, they also had their own conversation.

"I know Ash said Rowlet liked to sleep but this is ridiculous," Lance said with a sweatdrop.

"I wonder how a sleepy owl can take down that Gourgeist." Leon replied as well.

"We shouldn't underestimate Ash. Maybe that Rowlet can do something amazing." Cynthia said, but even she was slightly stunned by Rowlet's antics

Back onto the field.

After shaking Rowlet awake, it was time to get back to the battle.

"Sorry about that. Anyways...Rowlet! Shadow Sneak!" he commanded as Rowlet dove straight into the shadow, making his way to Gourgeist.

Looking over her shoulder, Gourgeist saw Diantha make a gesture and quickly moved out of the way.

"Eye contact huh? Guess it isn't just Gardevior.' Ash thought

"Shadow Sneak again!" Ash commanded as Rowlet began to dive back into the shadow. Diantha made another gesture as Gourgeist leaped above the incoming Rowlet.

"As you know, Gardevior isn't the only one that I can command without speaking. How will you deal with this?" Diantha commented as Rowlet kept missing with the Shadow Sneaks

Ash, however was smirking.

"Now Seed Bomb!" He commanded as Rowlet shot out of the shadow and launched a Seed Bomb right between the eyes

"Wait what?" Before Diantha could get an understanding, Gourgeist was shot right between the eyes.

"GOUR!" she cried in pain

Meanwhile, Rowlet was doing a little victory dance in the air.

"BR! BR! BR! BR! BR! BR! BR!" he chirruped in victory as he grabbed the Everstone in his mouth, with Gourgeist glaring at him as he continued dancing.

In the stands...

"Wait. Was that an Everstone?" Brock asked.

"Looks like it. Guess Piplup and Rowlet can be Everstone buddies." May said with a smirk.

"Hey, you're right!" Dawn exclaimed.

Piplup chirped in agreement.

Back to the battle.

"Now keep on using Seed Bomb!" Ash spoke and soon Rowlet began to shoot its everstone at Gourgeist.

Gourgeist tried to glance at Diantha for a visual command but the stone kept on hammering at her face.

" THIS SEEMS FAMILIAR! ROWLET IS DOING A SIMILAR TACTIC DURING THE EXHIBITION MATCH OF ASH VS KUKUI!"The announcer commented

Diantha gritted her teeth in frustration. That Seed Bomb was disrupting her visual commands.

"I figured that Gardevior wasn't the only one with visual commands, so what better way than to relentlessly attack and disrupt any chances of showing the commands." Ash said.

"Clever. But an actress can play many roles. Now Gourgeist, Phantom Force!" Diantha commanded.

Gourgeist heard the plan and quickly disappeared in a shadowy portal as the Seed Bomb landed on the ground. Rowlet went to pick it up then looked to find Gourgeist disappeared.

" AND LOOKS LIKE GOURGEIST PULLED A DISAPPEARING ACT! NO USE SAYING ANY MAGIC WORDS TO MAKE HER REAPPEAR!"

"Stay sharp, Rowlet. Gourgeist may appear anywhere." Ash instructed keeping an eye out for Gourgeist.

Rowlet was looking around, wondering where Gourgeist will strike when suddenly another portal opened and Gourgeist emerged.

Ash's eyes widened

"Rowlet behind you!"

Rowlet didn't turn his head quick enough as he was suddenly drop kicked by Gourgeist.

" ABRA-KADABRA! GOURGEIST HAS REAPPEARED AND DELIVERED A HARSH BLOW TO ROWLET! WILL THE ALOLA CHAMPION BE ABLE TO RECOVER?!"

"And checkmate. Gourgeist, Rock Slide!"

Gourgeist managed to summon a lot of rocks from the sky that dove onto Rowlet. Luckily Ash was quicker with his command.

"Rowlet, Shadow Sneak!"

When the rocks landed, the dust had formed blocking the vision. When it cleared, it revealed the rock slide and no Rowlet.

Diantha's eyes furrowed. Rowlet had just disappeared and the cloak was still there. When she looked at Ash, he was grinning.

"Now, Rowlet! Emerge from the shadows and strike with Steel Wing!"

Diantha's eyes widened but before anything could happen...

*WHAM!*

Rowlet emerged from the shadow and sent Gourgeist flying with a Steel Wing uppercut.

"Not this time. Gourgeist, Phantom Force!"

Gourgeist once again disappeared, but unlike before Ash had a plan.

"Stay in one place, Rowlet. I'll look for a sign of when Gourgeist will strike." Ash then closed his eyes waiting for a sign. Suddenly, he heard Gourgeist cackling. Opening his eyes, he saw the pumpkin ghost trying to emerge from behind.

"Rowlet, behind you! Grab it!" Ash said.

Quick as a whip, Rowlet turned around and grabbed Gourgeist in his claws.

"What the?!" Diantha said much to her shock.

Gourgeist was also shocked as she found herself unable to escape from the grip of Rowlet's talons.

" AND IT IS A TIGHT GRIP ROWLET HAS ON GOURGEIST! I DON'T THINK ROWLET WILL BE LETTING GO ANYTIME SOON!"

"Now Rowlet, throw her into the air!"

With all the strength in his talons, Rowlet launched the pumpkin into the air, the ghost screaming.

"Gourgeist, Focus Blast quickly!" Diantha commanded.

Gourgeist began to form another Focus Blast but...

"Not this time! Rowlet, combo move! Brave Bird and Steel Wing to form Missile Strike!"

Rowlet soon hovered behind Gourgeist and a yellow bird like aura formed around his body. As he dove down, Rowlet's wings glowed a steel silver as he put them behind as he dived. The effect caused the owl to form a missile like aura diving at high speed when suddenly...

*BAM!*

Smoke formed when Rowlet hit Gourgeist. Gourgeist plummeted to the ground, bouncing as she hit the ground.

It then stopped bouncing as she laid on her side with swirls in her eyes, indicating she was out cold.

"What on earth?!" Diantha spoke in a shocked tone.

"Gourgeist is unable to battle! The winner is Rowlet!" Kukui said as Rowlet lowered back onto the ground.

"BRR, BRR! BRRRO!" Rowlet raised his wings in victory as his cheeks pinked before placing one on his hip then flicking the cloak as the crowd roared in excitement.

" AND THE GOD OF THE STARTERS HAS PASSED JUDGEMENT ONCE AGAIN AS GOURGEIST CRASH LANDS ONTO THE FIELD! THAT POOR GOURGEIST IS ANOTHER POOR SOUL ON GOD'S LIST! ALL HAIL THE GOD OF STARTERS!"The announcer said as everyone soon spoke:

"ALL HAIL THE GOD!" The crowd cheered out.

In the stands, everyone was shocked but no more than Paul and Trip.

"D-did that just happen?! That unevolved owl wiped out a Gourgeist?!" Paul said.

"How?! I figured that owl would get beaten!" Trip said with the same shocked look.

"And that is why we said not to underestimate Rowlet. Despite being unevolved, he took down Pokémon tougher than him. Everyone calls him the God of the Starters." Kiawe said.

Alain then asked Ryuki something.

"Ummm...which Pokémon has a rivalry with Rowlet again?" he asked.

"My Hydreigon.'' He said simply, shocking everyone. 'Rowlet beat him as a Zweilous and right now it is 9-9 between us."

They were silent until…

"That is one strong baby starter" Gary commented, shocked at the news and who could blame him? Hydreigons are one of the most ferocious Dragon-Type Pokémon out there and a Rowlet was tied with one.

With the champions, Cynthia had a smug look on her face as the rest had their jaws dropped.

"I told you not to underestimate that Rowlet." She said in a smug tone.

"That starter...took down...a Gourgeist..." Lance droned in shock

"I-I just...HOW?!" Steven said as he looked like his brain was going to explode.

"At least it explains why I saw some merchandise with Rowlet and the words God on the front..." Leon said, thinking about the time he was exploring a gift shop and came across those hoodies.

Diantha returned Gourgeist back into her ball.

"Spectacular performance, Gourgeist." she said, thanking the pumpkin.

"That is some Rowlet, Ash. I guess it does more than sleep all the time." She complimented.

"Thanks!"

"But now...it's time to see how well you deal with this! Tyrantrum, give the fans a performance!" she said, flinging the capsule.

As soon as the ball burst open, a large shadow was casted over Rowlet. The cause? A giant Tyrannosaurus Rex with orange skin that looked like rocks with a silver underbelly. It also had a white beard and a sort of mane sticking from around its neck as well as a mean looking glare.

"RRROOOOOOAAAARRRR!" Tyrantrum roared out

"RROWOWOWOWOW!" Rowlet screeched in terror.

"A Tyrantrum?! Yeah, this is out of Rowlet's league. Rowlet, return!" Ash said as Rowlet was returned.

" LOOKS LIKE ASH HAS DECIDED TO SWITCH OUT! WHO WILL FACE OFF AGAINST THE KING OF THE DINOSAURS?!"

"Tyrantrum is part rock so...Kommo-o, I choose you!" Ash said, flinging his ball onto the field. Kommo-o emerged and bashed his fists in anticipation.

"KOMM!" He cried, the sound of his scales ringing in the arena.

In the stands

Currently, Iris was going gaga over Kommo-o.

"OH MY GOSH! LOOK AT THAT DRAGON-TYPE! SO POWERFUL! SO MAJESTIC! WHY DIDN'T ASH TELL ME?!"

"Because you would try and take it?" Cilan commented off handed.

Dawn and May had to pull off a feral Iris from Cilan

With the Champions.

"Now let's see how well this dragon type can stand against Tyrantrum." Lance said, observing the battle.

"Seems to be a cancel out as they both have advantages over each other," Alder said.

"I don't know. Tyrantrum is part dragon and Kommo-o must have some dragon-type moves on its side." Leon spoke with a thinking face.

"Yeah, but Tyrantrum has moves to deal with fighting types. Let's just see the battle." Steven said, eager to watch.

Back to the battle

" AND ASH HAS SENT OUT KOMMO-O! THIS IS ITS FIRST BATTLE SO LET'S SEE HOW WELL IT FAIRS!"

"This is your first battle, Kommo-o so let's make it a good one!" Ash said.

"KOM!" the scaly dragon said as it got into a boxing position.

"Now use Thunder Punch!" Ash commanded as Kommo-o's left fist began to spark, rushing forward to deck the T-rex.

Diantha simply nodded as Tyrantrum used his tail and picked up Kommo-o, shocking the scaly dragon.

"Oh no!"

"Now throw him into the air and catch it with Psychic Fangs!"

Tyrantrum did just that, his jaw widening as it glowed pink with psionic energy as he crunched down on Kommo-o.

The scaly dragon roared in agony as the jaws kept hold of his body and it won't let go.

"Kommo-o, can you escape?"

Kommo-o's cries of agony answered that question.

" OH DEAR! LOOKS LIKE KOMMO-O IS TRAPPED IN THE JAWS OF DEATH? HOW WILL HE ESCAPE?!"

"Tyrantrum has a pretty strong bite strength. How will you escape?" Diantha quizzed as she saw the thoughtful look in his eyes.

"How's this? Use Draco Meteor!"

With some willpower, Kommo-o's eyes widened as his mouth began to build up draconic energy, which was soon fired into the air. The energy soon split as meteor began to rain down from the heavens, hitting Tyrantrum as he grunted in pain

"Oh no!" Diantha exclaimed as Tyrantrum fell, causing Kommo-o to tumble out of the mouth. He was panting as he uneasily stood up.

"You alright, Kommo-o?" Ash asked to which he nodded his head and got into his battle stance.

Tyrantrum also got up, glaring at the cheap shot.

"Well then, let's have an explosive attack. Head Smash!"

Tyrantrum then fired up a lot of blue energy surrounding him as he roared to the heavens.

"Here it comes! Charge up a double Thunder Punch!" Ash ordered as Kommo-o's claws began to spark.

As soon as Tyrantrum came close:

"NOW BLOCK IT!"

The head and electric hands collided as both battle aura and lightning danced as the two dragons went on a power struggle, both gritting their teeth as they refused to budge

"AND WE HAVE A CLASH OF DRACONIC IDEALS BETWEEN THESE TWO REPTILES! WHO WILL LOSE THIS CLASH?!"

With the champions

"And that is why Dragon-types are the best!" Lance said with a prideful tone as he witnessed the clash.

"So why do you have mostly flying types, bird boy?" Leon snarked as Lance fell down, feeling his pride diminish.

"Look, I caught more dragon types over the years, OK?!" He screeched in a vain attempt to get his pride back.

"Whatever...Tweety" Cynthia snarked as the others laughed at Lance's expense

With Ash's friends

"OH MY ARCEUS THIS IS SO EXCITING! A CLASH BETWEEN TWO POWERFUL DRAGONS! IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE!" Iris squealed as she watched with stars in her eyes.

Paul was watching Iris with a weirded-out look.

"Is she on a sugar rush on something?" He asked as he leaned into Cilan

"She just loves Dragon-types a lot." He said with a nervous smile.

Back to the Battle

"COME ONE KOMMO-O! KNOCK HIM BACK WITH ANOTHER THUNDER PUNCH!"

"NOT THIS TIME! UNLEASH THE IRON HEAD!"

Tyrantrum's head soon shone as it began to bump while Kommo-o's fist began to spark even brighter. The two attacks clashed which resulted in an explosion that sent both dragons back from the impact as they crashed by their trainers' feet.

"Kommo-o! You alright?!" Ash asked as Kommo-o shakily stood back up.

"Are you OK Tyrantrum?" Diantha also asked as Tyrantrum did the same.

Both were glaring as they let out some heavy breaths, exhaustion cleary showing

"I gotta finish this quick! Kommo-O is gonna keel over from exhaustion!" Ash thought as he ran through the plans through his head.

"I can't use physical attacks or get up close as that tail can easily stop me. I'll have to settle for range."

"Kommo-o, Flash Cannon!" Ash ordered as the dragon began to charge up silver energy in his mouth before letting it fire.

"Block it with your tail!" Diantha said as Tyrantrum swung his mighty tail, sending some of the energy back. Ash however soon had an idea.

"Now checkmate. Dragon Pulse!"

Tyrantrum's maw opened as draconic energy began to form but before he could fire...

"Use Aura Sphere!"

Kommo-o soon began to form a sphere of blue energy in his claws then fired it.

"Oh no. Knock it back with your tail!"

Tyrantrum did the same thing as before, swinging his tail and knocking the Aura Sphere back to Kommo-o but Ash was smiling.

"Bite it down!"

"Wait what?!" Diantha must've been hearing things right?!

Kommo-o's jaws soon made their mark as they bit down on it. Soon Kommo-o began to shake as his eyes were hidden before...

*BOOOM!*

"KOMM!" He roared as blue energy shot out from his body. It then went into the scales on his arms.

" I-I DON'T BELIEVE IT! ASH USED THAT AURA SPHERE AS A SNACK AND NOW HE HAS A BATTLE AURA! I WONDER IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER TRICKS UP HIS SLEEVE!"

With Ash's friends...

"No WAY! Didn't he use that against Palmer's Rhyperior?!" Dawn said as she recognised that technique.

"Yeah! I didn't think Ash would remember that technique" Brock replied, suddenly feeling a bit nostalgic.

"What do you mean?" Paul asked, interested in the technique

"It was during a mini tournament during the Twinleaf festival. Ash had won and got the chance to battle Palmer. He used Grotle while Palmer used Rhyperior. Soon Grotle was charging an Energy Ball that clashed with Rhyperior's Megahorn. The result was the energy ball being shot straight into Grotle's mouth, causing a boost in power." Brock said

"It even makes a good contest technique as well" Dawn added.

The champions meanwhile looked interested, Wallace in particular.

" I wonder if that can be used in contests?"

Back to the match

"Oh my, that is interesting." Diantha said.

"You think that's interesting. How about this? Another combo move! Aura Sphere and Thunder Punch to form Railgun Shot!"

With the energy from the Aura Sphere snack, Kommo-o's claws began to spark as it formed an Aura Sphere, the electricity began to surround the orb, making it turn a slight green.

"Not this time. Dragon Pulse!"

Tyrantrum soon fired the draconic energy in his maw, a purple energy dragon shot to Kommo-O.

"Now, let it rip!"

With one mighty throw, Kommo-o hurled the sphere as it tore through the Dragon Pulse before landing on Tyrantrum. The electricity sparking his body along with the aura Sphere bruising his body, sending him straight back to the wall, covering him with dust.

"Tyrantrum?!" Diantha said in a worried tone. When the dust cleared up, Tyrantrum was out cold with swirls in his eyes as he fell forward with a resounding thud.

"Tyrantrum is unable to battle! The winner is Kommo-o!" Kukui announced.

Kommo-o raised his fists as he roared in victory as it began to pant in exhaustion.

" AND ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! HOW WILL DIANTHA FARE NOW?!"

At the stands...

Everyone was cheering in delight.

"He beat two of them! Ash is on a roll!" Bonnie squealed.

"But we can't forget the next Pokémon! We don't know what she may have in store." Clemont told his sister

With the champions

"Guess Ash is doing well." Lance said, impressed at the battle

"But who knows what may happen next." Steven replied

Back to the battle

"I'm two naught against you, Diantha! This battle is going my way!" He said confidentially.

"You shouldn't get too confident, Ash! The battle may change! Now, Aurorus, let's give the fans a performance!" She said as flung the Pokéball.

Emerging from the capsule, was another large Pokémon, only this one was rather slender taking the form of a sauropod. It was completely blue with a light blue underbelly and a white sail on its neck. It was also covered in blue gems on its side and head.

"AUROOO!" Aurorus cried out.

" AND DIANTHA HAS CHOSEN AURORUS! LOOKS LIKE A CLASH OF TYPES BETWEEN THESE TWO FIGHTERS! MAYBE THIS WILL BREAK ASH'S WIN STREAK!"

"Aurorus huh? I better..." Ash was about to recall Kommo-o however...

"KOM!" He snarled at his trainer.

"Wait. You still wanna battle? Well, if you say so!"

Despite the injuries, Kommo-o stood tall, getting ready to fight.

"So you're not going to substitute? Well fine by me." Diantha commented.

"Well then, I hope you don't mind. Use Aura Sphere!"

Kommo-o began to charge aura in his claws but before he could launch it...

"Freeze-Dry!"

Aurorus breathed out cold air to Kommo-o's hands, freezing them solid.

"What the?!" Ash looked shocked.

Kommo-o tried to break the ice by smashing his claws but to no luck.

"Well then, how about Flash Cannon?!"

Kommo-o began to power up silver energy but...

"Freeze-Dry on the mouth!"

Aurorus once again fired a cold breath of air, freezing Kommo-o's mouth, shocking Ash.

"Oh no!"

"And Checkmate. Now Psychic!"

The icy saurapod's eyes glowed blue which surrounded the scaly dragon then sent him flying into the sky.

" AND THERE GOES KOMMO-O! LOOKS LIKE HE MIGHT BECOME A FLYING-DRAGON TYPE NOW!"

With a resounding thump, Kommo-o landed in a heap. Out cold, swirls for eyes and covered in ice.

"Kommo-o is unable to battle! The winner is Aurorus!"

" LOOKS LIKE OUR ALOLAN CHAMPION'S WIN STREAK CAME TO AN END! KOMMO-O SIMPLY COULDN'T HANDLE THE DINO!"

Ash just sighed as he returned Kommo-o back to his Pokéball

"Good job Kommo-o. You did well for your first battle."

"Well, it looks like I broke your streak. Are you able to continue?" Diantha asked

"It's still two-one to me Diantha, I ain't giving up anytime soon!"

In the stands

"Well, we couldn't have hoped Ash would've won this time." Misty said with a sigh

"Yeah. Kommo-o took too much damage from battling Tyrantrum. Plus, being an ice type didn't do any favours." Clemont added.

"And Kommo-o refused to be switched out. Ash still hasn't lost that aspect." Paul replied. Guess some things never change.

"Well Dragon-types tend to be extremely prideful. Guess Kommo-o wanted to go down fighting then be substituted.' Iris said. 'Though...WHY AN ICE TYPE?!" She then squealed in fear as she began to shiver.

Paul and Alain looked at her like she was on drugs.

"What's with her?" Paul asked

"No clue." Alain replied.

Back to the battle...

"Alright Sirfetch'd, you're up!" Ash said as he flung the ball, releasing the duck knight.

"FETCH'D!" He cried raising his sword into the air.

" WELL THAT IS A POKÉMON WE HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE! LOOKS LIKE FROM A DIFFERENT REGION! I WONDER HOW WELL IT CAN BATTLE?!"

"So you're using Sirfetch'd? I am interested on how a Galar Pokémon can battle." Diantha said

"Don't worry. As a leek master, Sirfetch'd won't run from a challenge."

"SIR!" The duck knight cried as he got into a stance.

In the stands...

"Woah, what Pokémon is that?!" Max asked as he leaned over to get a closer look.

"I have no idea. Let me check my archives. Searching. Searching." Rotom Dex said as he began to load his screen.

"No need. Allow me." Leon said as he readied his Rotom Phone.

"Sirfetch'd, The Wild Duck Pokémon. A Fighting-type and the evolved form of Farfetch'd. It is said that Farfetch'd from Galar will evolve when it battles a lot. When the leek withers, it is said to retire from combat."

"Wait, wait. Farfetch'd can evolve in Galar?" Brock asked in shock.

"Oh yeah. Alola isn't the only place with regional forms. Farfetch'd in Galar are fighting types" Leon explained.

Soon everyone went back to the battle.

"I wonder how strong it is?" Paul asked as everyone wanted to find out.

Back to the field.

"Now Sirfetch'd, get close with Steel Wing!"

Throwing his shield and sword into the air, the duck knight quickly flew up with silver glowing wings as he dove straight onto Aurorus.

"Psychic."

Aurorus's eyes glowed as a pink aura surrounded, stopping him in his tracks before sending him high. Sirfetch'd managed to stabilise himself in the air before lowering back onto the ground, grabbing his blade and shield.

"Aw, nuts. I forgot about the psychic.' Ash grumbled before remembering something. 'Wait. I know. Sirfetch'd dive down to Aurorus with Night Slash."

Sirfetch'd's sword soon began to blow a scary black with shadow energy surrounding it.

"Aurorus use Psychic!"

Aurorus's eyes started to glow but soon.

"Now spin the sword clockwise! Form a shield!"

Sirfetch'd did just that and the psychic energy soon disappeared, shocking Aurorus. The night Slash soon cut down on Aurorus doing some damage.

"Dark beats Psychic!" Ash said smugly.

"Clever," Diantha said.

"You know what else is clever? Use Steel Wing!"

Sirfetch'd's wings soon shone silver as he flew up and delivered a clothesline to Aurorus, causing it to tip slightly.

Diantha gritted her teeth.

"Quick, use Freeze-Dry!"

"Dodge!"

Aurorus began to let out freezing breath onto Sirfetch'd, who managed to roll out of the way. But Diantha wasn't going to let up.

"PSychic! Then Thunder!"

"Wait what?!"

Aurorus's eyes glowed as he caught Sirfetch'd then sent him flying into the air. Soon the sail on his back began to spark as a large thundercloud formed ahead.

Ash began to sweat.

"This is bad. If that Thunder hits...It's not like Sirfetch'd can tank the...attack...THAT'S IT! It's risky but..."

"Sirfetch'd! Raise your sword into the air! Just trust me!"

Sirfetch'd did that while flying and the thunder soon struck. As the lightning coursed through his feathers, Sirfetch'd gritted his teeth.

"COME ONE! BE ONE WITH THE LIGHTNING AND SHOW THAT KNIGHTLY SPIRIT!"

Sirfetch'd's eyes shot open and soon a bright light formed, blinding Diantha and Ash, as well as the rest of the crowd. What they saw shocked them all.

Sirfetch'd was now covered in a golden yellow armour, sparks crackling over him.

"SIR!" He squawked as the voice echoed.

"I haven't used this in a long time. How do you like the Thunder Armor?" Ash said with a crazy grin

With Ash's friends...

May, Max and Brock were shaking with excitement.

"I don't believe it! Ash used the Thunder Armor?!" May said with wide eyes.

"That's a blast from the past!" Max said in excitement.

"WAIT HOLD ON! Thunder what?!" Misty asked.

"It was a technique he came up with in Hoenn. Ash simply fired a Thunder at Pikachu and Swellow and they managed to absorb the electricity to form electric armor. It was useful against Liza and Tate." Brock explained.

"I wonder why he didn't use it before?"

"Ash probably forgot about it." Brock commented as everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

Meanwhile the champions were having their own discussion.

"OK, THAT was risky! Taking a thunder like that? Ash must be very brave or very stupid." Leon commented.

"Well Ash is known for being unpredictable. This is one of those moments." Cynthia replied.

"And we cannot forget how stubborn his Pokémon are." Lance added.

Back to the field.

Ash decided to take the initiative and attacked.

"Solar Blade!"

Leaping high into the air, Sirfetch'd charged a large beam of light into his leek blade. Seeing it still charging, Diantha called out a move.

"Use Earthquake!"

Aurorus reared back and stomped on the ground, shaking it and causing Sirfetch'd to lose balance.

"Don't fall now! Bring the blade down!"

Sirfetch'd managed to stay upright and bring the blade down, with the extra electric boost, causing major damage as it collided with Aurorus.

"Are you OK?!" Diantha said with worry. Luckily Aurorus was still standing but was badly damaged.

"Good, now Psychic!"

Aurorus's eyes glowed and he sent the duck night into the air. However Ash wasn't worried.

"Here is another combo move! Sirfetch'd, combine Night Slash and Meteor Assault to form! Black Meteor!

Soon Sirfetch'd's leek began to glow black from dark energy but rather spinning his body, the duck knight instead went into a diving position with the leek poised to stab. He soon began to fall at a rapid pace. Soon a dark cone formed as he fell.

"Quickly, Psychic!"

Aurorus tried to do so but the dark energy from the Night Slash protected him and soon...

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

A large explosion of black and yellow formed with Sirfetch'd on the other side. When the smoke cleared, Aurorus had keeled over onto his side, swirls in his eyes.

"Aurorus is unable to battle! The winner is Sirfetch'd!"

"SIRFETCH'D!" Sirfetch'd cried in victory as the Thunder Armor dissipated.

" WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE VICTORY! A NEW POKÉMON HAD JUST WIPED THE FLOOR WITH AURORUS! DESPITE ALL THAT, HE IS STILL STANDING! WHAT A KNIGHT!"

Ash was cheering at the victory. He was on a role.

AS Diantha returned Aurorus, she decided to comment

"Very nice Ash. I never expected the Thunder Armor."

"Aww, thanks." Ash said, rubbing the back of his head.

"But I hope your Sirfetch'd will be able to withstand this. Hawlucha, give the fans a performance!"

What came out was a short red bipedal avian, that had a plumage designed like a mask as well as a white underbelly and its feet were coloured yellow. It soon began to pose in front of the audience.

"LUCHA!" it cried

" AND DIANTHA HAS SENT OUT HER HAWLUCHA! WILL THIS WRESTLER BE WILLING TO TAKE ON THE KNIGHT OR WILL ASH MAKE A CHANGE?!"

"Sirfetch'd, can you still battle?" He asked.

"SIR!" He cried as he stood his ground, albeit the earlier damage he took along with the meteor assault was preventing him from moving.

"Well then...Hawlucha, Thunder Punch!"

Hawlucha let out a battle cry as he leapt into the air with an electrified fist, diving down to SIrfetch'd and unfortunately...it connected. The lightning fist connected to his torso.

"SIR!" He hollered at the shock. Luckily, he was still standing.

"You OK?" Ash cried out as Sirfetch'd nodded.

"Ok, Steel Wing!"

"Use Steel Wing too!"

Soon both birds' wings shone silver as they began to clash with each jump. However, it seemed Hawlucha had the advantage due to being fresh blood and Sirfetch'd being damaged goods...Ok, that came out wrong...

In The stands...

"Looks like Sirfetch'd is struggling." Paul commented.

"Well with the damage it took from Aurorus...he's starting to run low on steam. All Hawlucha is one good hit to win." Alain remarked.

On the field.

"Hawlucha, jump off Sirfetch'd!"

Hawlucha then placed a foot on Sirfetch'd's head and with one jump, she leapt into the air.

"And checkmate. Flying Press!"

A red aura surrounded Hawlucha as she began to body slam onto the duck knight. When the dust cleared, Sirfetch'd was sprawled on the floor, knocked out.

"Sirfetch'd is unable to battle! The winner is Hawlucha!"

" WELL ALL THAT FIGHTING WITH AURORUS HAD CAUGHT UP TO SIRFETCH'D AS HE GOT BODY-SLAMMED INTO THE NEXT CENTURY! WHO WILL THE CHAMPION SEND OUT NEXT?!"

"Sirfetch'd return! You tried hard. So rest up.' Ash then threw a Poké Ball onto the field 'Rowlet, I choose you!"

Soon Rowlet came out, cloak and all.

"Rowlet, Steel Wing!"

Rowlet's wings soon shone a metallic silver as he flew straight to Hawlucha. Diantha simply nodded as Hawlucha managed to back-flip away from the attack but Ash was ready.

"Use Seed Bomb!"

Rowlet soon shot out his everstone but...

"Not this time. Kick it away!"

Performing an axel kick, Hawlucha knocked the stone back to Rowlet, it hitting his head disorienting him.

"Now X-Scissor!

"Dodge with Shadow Sneak!"

Rowlet quickly managed to grab his stone and dove into the shadow, just as Hawlucha dove down with his claws glowed a purple X. Rowlet then shot out and dove kick the lucha bird in the back.

"Steel Wing, Rowlet!"

Rowlet then flew and tried to strike with his metallic wings but Diantha made an indication causing Hawlucha to turn around, ready to block.

"Thunder Punch!"

The metallic wings and electric claws soon clash as the two birds performed a power struggle to see who would overpower who. Sparks flew when suddenly ROwlet became covered in electric sparks.

"Row-O-OW!" HE screeched as he felt his joints stiffen up.

"Oh no!" Ash said as his eyes widened. Rowlet was paralysed!

"And checkmate. Flying Press!"

Hawlucha leaped up into the air and proceeded to dive down onto Rowlet. Rowlet tried to move but the sparks prevented him from moving. Soon Hawlucha's body slammed the owl. When Hawlucha got off, Rowlet was out cold barring the twitching talon.

"Rowlet is unable to battle! The winner is Hawlucha!" Kukui announced

" OH, AND IT IS A REPEAT WITH SIRFETCH'D AS ROWLET GETS PRESSED FROM ABOVE! NOW THE SCORE IS EVENLY MATCHED! WHO WILL OUR ALOLA CHAMP SEND OUT NOW?!"

Ash returned Rowlet back into his ball.

"You fought well, Rowlet. Now enjoy some rest." He said in a friendly manner.

"Well, Ash, who will be next? Hawlucha is still rearing to go." Diantha said as Hawlucha began bouncing in place.

Ash said nothing. Instead...he brought out a beast ball.

Everyone's eyes widened at the ball. They knew who is going to be sent out next...except for Ash's travelling companions.

Speaking of which.

"Uhhh...what's with the weird ball?" Max said in confusion.

"I have no clue," Brock said in a thinking position. But soon they all noticed the Alolan classmates vibrating with anticipation.

"Hey...you guys know who's coming out?" Misty said.

"Yep. And it will be awesome~" Sophocles said with a wide grin.

"OK...I think it's time for you to see how an Ultra Beast battles. Naganadel, I Choose You!" He said as he threw the ball into the air.

As soon as the Beast Ball cracked open, everyone waited with bated breath for the Pokémon to emerge. Suddenly...

"NAGANA!" A raspy voiced filled the field as a purple figure dashed passed Diantha, who quickly covered her face from the dust. Suddenly, Naganadel began blitzing in every direction before diving to the ground.

" AND WE HAVE ANOTHER STAPLE OF OUR CHAMPION'S ALOLAN ACES IN THE FORM OF THE ONLY TAMED ULTRA BEAST, NAGANADEL! CAN THE AGILE HAWLUCHA BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE BLITZING BEAST? LET'S LOOK!"

Everyone soon roared in excitement, eager to see what was going to happen

In the stands, Ash's friends were all looking with wide eyes. This was the first time they saw an Ultra Beast.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" That was Misty's response.

"I have never seen that Pokémon before? Where did Ash get it?" Brock also added

Kiawe then chuckled. "Man, have we got a story to tell you." Gaining their attention.

With the Champions, they were also interested to see how Naganadel would fair.

"So, we will see how well an Ultra Beast will do in battle." Lance said arms crossed as everyone nodded their heads.

Back to the field.

"You ready Naganadel?" Ash asked as Naganadel let out a roar of determination as an orange aura soon burst around him.

"OK, that's strange. Either way, Hawlucha! X-Scissor!" Diantha commanded as Hawlucha's claws glowed as she charged to the Ultra Beast.

"Match that with X-Scissor too!" Naganadel's stinger soon glowed aqua as he dove straight into the bird's claws. The claws and stinger soon clashed as the two began to struggle for dominance. Soon, both went back as the clash was even and both sides wouldn't give an inch.

"Now Naganadel, blitz past!"

"Wait, what?"

Soon, Naganadel began to speed past leaving only faint impressions in the air, something which both Diantha and Hawlucha struggled with keeping track of.

"What the? How fast is he?!" Diantha exclaimed as she struggled to keep track of Naganadel.

"Can't keep track?" Ash taunted.

"See, I found that Naganadel is one of my faster Pokémon, if not the fastest of my team. When he goes into full speed, you can be sure to not be able to see him coming.

"I see...Dammit..." She cursed under her breath. This won't be easy.

In the stands.

"Man, talk about a fast fighter." Brock said as he tried to track the Poison Pin Pokémon's movements

"Maybe that's why Ash sent out Naganadel. With that speed, it would make it impossible for Diantha to track." Clemont said as he adjusted his glasses. It was hard to track Naganadel as he blitz everywhere.

"So you're saying that it is something called an Ultra Beast?" Brock asked Kiawe.

"Yep. After rescuing Lillie's mom from Ultra-Space, she gathered us to send back any Ultra Beasts that escaped. Naganadel was the only one that wanted to stick by Ash. Hell, he even stayed with him after we saved Necrozma."

Soon, all of Ash's friends just groaned in exasperation.

Misty then sighed. "You know...I was hoping that Ash WOULDN'T be involved with saving the world...again."

Dawn even nodded her head. "True. I am now counting how many times and I think this is the 20th?"

The Alolan classmates were silent.

"You need to tell us about those adventures," Lana spoke in a deadpanned tone.

With the Champions

"Man, how fast is he moving?!" Alder exclaimed as he saw the blitzing dragon moving faster than their eyes could track.

"So far, the Ultra Beast is doing well. He's so fast, Diantha can't track his movements." Cynthia spoke with a finger on her chin

"Let's see how Diantha can handle this," Lance said

On the field

"Now Naganadel, use Iron Tail!"

Soon Diantha saw streaks of silver rain down on Hawlucha, the strikes sending her in all sorts of directions. Soon Diantha began to grit her teeth in frustration, until...

"I know. Hawlucha, backflip then Flying Press!"

Hawlucha's eyes shot open as she managed to dodge a sweeping silver stinger before slamming onto Naganadel. The blow caused him to crash land onto the field.

"That put a stop to you."

Ash gritted his teeth before shouting out...

"X-Scissor!"

The stinger shone green as Naganadel flew straight to Hawlucha.

"Hope you don't mind using one of your strategies. Thunder Punch and grab the stinger!"

Hawlucha's claws started to spark as he grabbed the incoming stinger, stopping the attack. Shocks coursed through Naganadel's veins.

"How do you like that, Ash?"

Ash, however...grinned

"Iron Tail and send it flying!"

The stinger shone silver as Hawlucha felt a blow under her beak, it was now sent flying.

"You really thought I didn't think of a way to stop my own strategy being used against me? Now Naganadel, combo move time! Dragon Pulse and Thunderbolt to form Draco's Lightning!"

Naganadel's other two stingers showed draconic energy in the form of a dragon's head then the whole body began sparking. The two heads merged and soon the maws filled with lightning and draconic energy.

"NAGANAAAA!" Naganadel hissed as he let loose the attack, blasting Hawlucha with the makeshift roar. Hawlucha soon fell back down. Swirls in the eyes, sprawled onto the ground and baked.

"HAWLUCHA IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! THE WINNER IS NAGANADEL!" Kukui announced.

"Awesome job, Naganadel!" Ash said as Naganadel began to spin in victory. He then went to the stands and performed his dance.

" NAGANADEL IS ONE AWESOME BEAST! THAT POOR HAWLUCHA BECAME BARBECUED!"

Diantha returned Hawlucha, thanking it for her hard work.

"That is the power of an Ultra Beast, eh? Time for another Dragon VS Dragon Match!"

Diantha had a Pokéball ready.

In the stands.

"WOAH! THAT WAS EXTREMELY COOL!" Dawn said with stars in her eyes

"I have GOT to ask Ash how to do those combo moves!" May also spoke

Paul, Trip, Gary and Alain just shook their heads.

"Co-ordinators..." They muttered

"But still' Paul then added 'That is ONE powerful Pokémon. I wanna see how strong he is."

With the Champions

"Holy Hell, that was bloody wicked!" Leon spoke as he leaned forward to see the battle.

"So that is the power of an Ultra Beast. Definitely, something we need to look into." Lance said

"True. Who knows what evil team would want to use them." Cynthia added.

Back onto the field.

"Now then...Goodra! Let's give the fans a performance!" She said, flinging the ball onto the field.

Diantha threw the ball to reveal a bipedal slug-like creature with two long antennae and a tall, slimy body. It had a pair of green eyes and green spots on its cheeks.

"GOOOO!" It roared as she got into position.

"She has a Goodra. Man, talk about memories..." Ash mused as he thought about his one. While Ash was feeling nostalgic, Diantha decided to break him out of his stupor.

"So Ash, shall I go first?"

Ash then went back to reality.

"Oh sorry, just remembering a good memory. Anyways...Naganadel! Iron Tail!"

Naganadel's stinger shone silver as he blitzed to Goodra but Diantha simply smiled.

"Fire Blast."

Goodra soon let loose a blast of fire that soon grew into the shape of the Kanji for Fire which then enlarged, covering the field, and blocking Naganadel's assault.

"Oh no! Naganadel, fly high away from the flames!

Naganadel quickly stopped and began to fly above the fire, the top of the kanji just burning the stinger before he dived down, ready to slam the stinger on Goodra's head. But Diantha was quicker.

"Dragon Pulse!"

Goodra soon let loose a blast of draconic energy, which was shaped like a dragon and it struck Naganadel at point blank. Naganadel was soon blown back but managed to recover.

"Naganadel! You alright?" Ash asked in a worried tone.

"NA!" The Ultra Beast hissed as he nodded his head.

"OK, let's try this. Use Thunderbolt!"

Naganadel began to spark as he let loose electricity to Goodra

"I thought Pikachu was the only one to use Thunderbolt," Max said

"Guess some of Ash's Pokémon can use it as well." Brock commented.

The electricity managed to strike, causing discomfort within Goodra's slimy veins, causing her to slack.

"Now X-Scissor!"

Naganadel's stinger soon shone green as he darted to Goodra. Diantha however... smirked.

"Catch it!"

When Naganadel got closed, Goodra's eyes shot open, and used her feelers to grab a hold of Naganadel, who was struggling in the grip.

"OH NO!" Ash exclaimed.

" Why does this feel so familiar...? Oh right. Sinnoh League with Paul and Electivire...crap." Ash thought as he remembered what may happen

" AND IT LOOKS LIKE GOODRA PUT THE BRAKES ON NAGANADEL'S ASSAULT! WILL OUR CHAMPION'S ULTRA BEAST BREAK FREE FROM THE GRIP?!"

In the stands.

"Oh man, I'm getting a feeling of deja vu," Paul said as he remembered what was going to happen.

"Yeah. Unless Ash can get Naganadel to break free, it's going to be a point-blank attack." Brock said as he witnessed it during the Sinnoh League

On the field...

"Checkmate. Goodra! Ice Punch!"

Goodra's fist soon was covered in a cold aura, flashing white and having snowflakes covering it. With one mighty roar, she punched Naganadel in the abdomen, causing him to freeze over and shoot past Ash. With a crash, the ice broke but Naganadel was slumped on the floor unconscious.

"NAGANADEL IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! GOODRA WINS!"

" TALK ABOUT A COLD SHOULDER! NAGANADEL GOT TURNED INTO AN ULTRA BEAST POPSICLE!"

"Man, talk about close. You did a good job, Naganadel. Take a rest." He said, returning Naganadel back into the capsule.

Soon Ash got out another PokéBall.

"Man, I got to thank Guzma for training him with me. Golisopod, I choose you!" he said, throwing the ball to reveal the arthropod samurai.

"GOLLL!" He screeched.

As soon as Golisopod was released, he heard a screaming girl in the stands. Ash immediately knew who that voice belonged to.

"If Misty's here then...Oh crap, I'm screwed..." He muttered in a fearful tone.

He knew a mallet was coming his way soon.

In the stands...

"A BUG! ASH HAS A BIG-TYPE!" She shrieked with an over-exaggerated look of fear on her. Everyone couldn't help but sweatdropped at her actions.

"Why are you complaining? It's also part water." Lana added, which calmed Misty down a bit but not much.

"But still. Why did Ash send out a bug type against a dragon type?" Said Dawn.

"This is Ash. He must have a plan." Alain answered.

"Yeah, plus I trained that Golisopod myself." A gruff voice soon butted into their conversation. They soon saw a man with messy white hair and grey eyes as well as black rings around them. He had a pair of sunglasses on his forehead and wore a white shirt under a black hoody with a skull on the back. He also wore a pair of black sweatpants and white trainers and had a golden chain with a golden S around his neck. He also had a purple skull tattoo on his left arm.

Next to him was a female with a slender build with long pink hair with yellow highlight done in two thin pigtails. She wore a grey tank top, grey sweats and white trainers and a small skull around her neck. Her eyes had white makeup around them, giving an impression of a mask.

Behind them were a group of teens dressed in black tanks and shorts with white caps and black bandannas covering their mouths as well as white skulls around their necks.

"Who are you?"

"Guzma. The girl beside me is Plumeria. And these guys are some students of mine." He said.

"Yo G! Ashy-boi is gonna whoop that slug so bad!" One with blue-haired said as he made exaggerated movements with his hands.

"Yeah! He's gonna kick him to the curb!" A pink-haired female added.

"Well, let's see the match and keep yer yaps shut!" Plumeria roared as they simmered down.

Meanwhile, Ash's friends were looking at them strangely. Luckily Kiawe managed to clear things up.

"Oh, that's just Team Skull." He said in a disinterested tone.

"Wait. THAT'S an evil team?" Brock said in a confused tone.

"Yep. Trust us, they aren't all bad," Kiawe added.

Back to the battle...

"Well, that is an interesting choice. Let's see how well-"

Diantha was suddenly interrupted by Ash calling out:

"First Impression!"

Suddenly, Golisopod blurred from view then reappeared in front of Goodra, punching her square in the face, sending the dragon back.

"What on earth?" She exclaimed

"Something I learned from someone: When using First Impression, you gotta make sure you say it quick for easy damage. Now, Frost Breath!"

Golisopd then opened his mandibles and let lose a frosty breath, but Diantha was quick on the draw.

"Counter with Dragon Pulse!"

Goodra then let loose a blast of draconic energy, causing it to clash with the icy breath. But Ash was in deep thought as he saw the smoke.

"Hmm...I wonder...Now Mud Shot!"

"Not this time. Fire Blast!"

Goodra then let loose a blast of fire in the kanji form but Ash then said something else.

"On your back and spin!"

"Wait what?!"

Golisopod did just that as he went on his back and began to spin, shooting mud from his mouth in all directions, creating a tornado of mud. The mud then clashed with fire, causing it to whiter out.

"Goo?" was all Goodra could get out before she was hit by whips of mud, over and over. No matter what Goodra did, it always got hit by muddy whips.

"What? Why can't Goodra dodge?" Diantha questioned to herself

"Say hello to the Counter Shield!" Ash declared

" WHAT AN INTERESTING TECHNIQUE! I WONDER WHY WE HAVEN'T SEEN IT BEFORE? EITHER WAY, GOODRA IS STUCK IN A WHIRLING DERVISH OF MUD! HOW WILL DIANTHA GET OUT OF THIS?!"

In the stands, Dawn, Brock, and Paul were leaping out of their seats in excitement. They knew this technique.

"I don't believe it! The Counter Shield!" Dawn said.

"He's using it after all this time?!" Brock said with a giddy look.

"Man, talk about nostalgia," Paul said with a smile on his face.

Meanwhile, most of the others were confused.

"I'm sorry, Counter what?" Clemont asked

"It was a technique developed in Sinnoh. It involves a Pokémon spinning around using a move, creating a shield that can block incoming attacks and strike with continuous blows. It's really hard to escape."

"Wow. And that means that Goodra is getting a lot of damage from each hit?" Serena said.

"Oh yeah. Hell, I used it, and let me tell you, it is useful." Paul said as he watched Goodra get slammed with a lot of mud.

With Guzma, he rose an eyebrow.

"Well, that's something you don't see every day." He mused.

"Guess the student definitely became the boss, huh. Wonder why he never used that?" Plumeria asked.

"Who knows? Who cares?" He said as he watched with interest.

---

Meanwhile, Cynthia also had a nostalgic grin on her face seeing the counter shield. Leon however, saw this.

"Hold up! Time Out! Offside! Double Dribble! Foul on the play! How long was he hiding this? And why are YOU smiling?" Leon spoke up as he pointed at Cynthia with a pointed glare.

"Oh just remembering seeing that technique for the first time."

"You are SO gonna answer questions for this," Leon said as he went back to his seat.

Back on the field

"Dammit. That Mud Shot is still going strong...Ice Punch to block!"

Goodra's fists froze over as she got into a blocking position. This had the effect of freezing the mud as it struck. This gave Diantha an idea.

"Goodra. Double Ice Punch on the ground!"

Goodra nodded her head and with a mighty roar, slammed them onto the ground, creating an ice sheet. This had Golisopod to continue to spin out of control.

"Oh no. Golisopod, stop the shield and use your claws to self-right!"

Hearing his trainer, Golisopod used his mandibles to pierce the ice and flip his body over. Even though he was slightly green and was lurching.

"You alright?" Ash asked in concern. After shaking his head, Golisopod let out a grunt in confirmation.

"Now then, use Dragon Pulse!"

"Aqua Jet to get in close!"

As Goodra fire another Dragon Pulse, Golisopod was soon covered in a veil of water as he shot towards Goodra. But before the dragon pulse could make contact...

"Combo Move time! Use Frost Breath from within the Aqua Jet! Time for the original combo move: Ice Aqua Jet!"

Soon Golisopod opened his mandibles and unleashed the cold air from within the Aqua Jet, freezing the water and turning it into an oncoming iceberg.

"What the hell?! How did he...?!" Diantha spoke in shock

Meanwhile much like Counter Shield, Dawn and Brock were leaping in excitement.

"AND ICE AQUA JET TOO?! THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!" She said in excitement.

"Let's see if it can hit first," Brock said, but even HE was excited at the incoming impact.

On the field.

Before Goodra could block the attack, the incoming iceberg struck her with the force of a torpedo, sending it back. The damage was great that Goodra fell onto her back.

"Goodra? Are you alright?" Diantha said in concern

Goodra began to slowly get back on her feet, tipping as she did. She tried to keep her eyes open but the damage was too great. She ended up flopping forward with her arms sprawled in front of her, out cold.

"GOODRA IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! THE WINNER IS GOLISOPOD!" Kukui announced

"YES!' Ash cheered as he leaped in celebration. 'One more to go!" This was the big one.

"Goodra...return..." She sighed out, thanking her for a good performance.

" AND DIANTHA IS DOWN TO HER LAST POKÉMON! WILL OUR CHAMPION MANAGE TO TAKE IT DOWN AND CLAIM VICTORY?!"

"Ash.' Diantha began 'It's official. You have truly earned the title of champion of Alola and I am grateful for our battle! But remember my ace had been with me since the beginning. So...are you prepared?" She spoke in a proud tone.

"C'mon, Diantha! It isn't fun if you went easy! You and Gardevior give us all you got!" Ash said, blood and adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"Right! It's the final act, Gardevior, Let's give the Fans a Performance!"

As the ball popped open, the light dimmed to reveal Diantha's ace, Gardevior. Those that recognised the ace immediately cheered as they knew that they were going to be in for an amazing show.

"So, the main star has arrived," Ash said with a battle-hungry grin.

"I hope you're ready, Ash. We aren't going to hold back!" Diantha said in an excited tone.

"GAR!" The empath Pokémon agreed with her trainer.

"I wouldn't want it any other way! Let's get this party started!" He roared in excitement along with Golisopod. This managed to get the crowd cheering the champions and his friends also screaming, pumped for the battle.

"Now use Aqua Jet!"

Golisopod soon charged forward, surrounded in water to Gardevior but Diantha just made a gesture with her face, allowing the empath to dodge the incoming water.

"Keep on using Aqua Jet!"

Golisopod continued to jet across the field and each time Gardevior dodged it.

"Did you really forget the signature trick me and Gardevior use? Now use Psychic to send him flying!"

Gardevior's eyes glowed blue as she stopped Golisopod in place before waving her hand and sending him flying into the air.

"GOOOOOOLLLL!" He shrieked

"GOLISOPOD! HANG IN THERE AND USE MUD SHOT FROM ABOVE!" He yelled as the arthropod righted himself and began to shoot mud from his mouth.

"Dodge it!" Diantha commanded as Gardevior soon began to teleport out of the mud's way, and with each shot, the field was covered in mud.

"Frost Breath!"

Golisopod's mandibles soon began to let out the cold breath as it soon began to freeze the field over.

"Perfect. Now Golisopod!"

Soon Golisopod began to skate over the ice, gliding like a champion ice skater to the empath Pokémon, who narrowed her eyes at the skating bug.

"Now circle around and use Mud Shot!"

Soon Golisopod did just that, shooting out mud to Gardevior, each one hitting her body. And with the icy battlefield, it meant that Gardevior couldn't exactly glide out of the way. This revelation caused Diantha to grit her teeth.

"So Diantha, how are you going to dodge on something you can't move?" Ash said with a slight grin on his face.

"Perhaps we should heat things up, Mystical Fire!" Diantha commanded

Gardevior soon began to build up blue flames in her palms and began to shoot at the skating Golisiopod, getting a few good hits but the heat from the flames began to melt the ice. Soon the icy field became a large puddle.

"That's more like it," Diantha said with a satisfied smile.

"Oh no..." Ash said in slight horror when he realised that the field was now one big puddle.

"And that's checkmate. Use Moonblast!"

Soon Moonlight began to shine down on GArdevior, who soon began to build up power from within her palms.

"Here comes the blast, Golisopod. Get ready to block!" Ash said as Golisopod quickly put his arms up. Soon the Moonblast fired straight to Golisopod's armored arms. As the blast collided, the impact caused the arthropod to skid back. As soon as he lowered his arms though, she disappeared.

"What where did she...? Behind you!" Ash said as Gardevior was now standing behind Golisiopod.

"Shadow Ball! Point Blank!" Diantha ordered as she fired a glob of shadow energy to Golisopod who didn't have the chance to block. The blast was so huge that Golisopod was sent flying into the center of the field and landed on his back, swirls in his eyes.

"GOLISOPOD IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! THE WINNER IS GARDEVIOR!" Kukui announced

" AND THEN THERE WAS ONE! ASH HAS ONLY ONE POKÉMON LEFT! WILL IT BE ENOUGH TO WIN THE EXHIBITION? LET'S WAIT AND SEE!"

Ash returned Golisopod, thanking him for his hard work.

"Well, this is it. A battle between our partners. Say Pikachu?' Ash looked at his partner. 'Let's end this with a bang! Pikachu, I CHOOSE YOU!" He declared as they shared a fist bump, and the mouse leaping to the field.

" AND WE HAVE THE BATTLE BETWEEN THE STRONGEST POKÉMON BETWEEN GARDEVIOR AND PIKACHU! THIS WILL BE A BATTLE TO REMEMBER AS THE TWO WILL CLASH FOR THE CHANCE OF VICTORY! IT IS IN THEIR GRASP!"

In the stands.

"And then there was one." Lance remarked.

"We all know how powerful Pikachu and he hasn't taken any damage. You think the advantage will be in Ash's favor?" Misty asked.

"I don't know. The last time Ash used Pikachu, he nearly lost. But you never know." Clemont remarked.

"Let's just wait and see. Who knows? Besides, knowing Ash? He may have a trick up his sleeve." Cynthia commented.

As Pikachu landed on the field, both Diantha and Ash let show some battle-hungry grins. This was the most fun they had in a while.

"So, you want to go first?" Diantha asked.

"How's this for an answer? Use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu soon began to sprint towards Gardevior, a white streak appearing behind him as he built up speed. Before he could make an impact...

"Send him flying with Psychic!"

Gardevior held out a hand as her eyes glowed blue, halting the electric mouse in his tracks, much to his shock. With a wave of her hand, Pikachu was sent flying into the air. Luckily Ash was a pro in the art of adaption.

"Iron Tail and use the height to your advantage!"

Pikachu soon began to spin as his tail shined silver like steel as he came down, turning him into a buzzsaw. With the extra weight, he came down like a mini meteor. The impact was definitely felt when it made contact with the psychic type's head. Gardevior felt her head rock from the impact as she staggered back with dizziness. With the staggering, Ash took a chance:

"Use another Quick Attack!"

As soon as he landed, he sprinted to her and slammed headfirst into her abdomen, knocking her further back.

"Are you ok?" Diantha asked her partner. After getting a nod, she decided to attack.

"Rapid-fire Shadow Balls!"

Gardevior soon began to shoot out orbs of ghostly energy, Pikachu following his instincts began to dodge each one.

"Alright, Pikachu! Keep on dodging! And when you find an opening, use Thunderbolt!"

As Pikachu kept on dodging the Shadow Balls, Gardevior began to lose power with each one. Soon, Pikachu was above the psychic type...

"PIIII-KAAAA-CHHUUUUUUU!"

...and unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt from above. The lightning came down on Gardevior, frying her to the bone. The lightning strike stopped as Gardevior had static and burn marks covering her body.

"Well, I'm impressed. Last time, you couldn't even manage one hit on Gardevior." she complimented.

"Hey, I learned a lot," Ash said as he rubbed the back of his head. Pikachu squeaked in agreement.

"But now it is the final act. And the audience will definitely love to see a show as grand as this.' Diantha soon touched the Keystone around her neck, the rainbow light linking with her the stone around Gardevior's neck.

"AND LOOK'S LIKE WE ALOLANS ARE GOING TO GET THE FIRST HAND LOOK AT THE POWER OF MEGA EVOLUTION AND THE FIRST LOOK AT DIANTHA'S FAMOUS MEGA GARDEVIOR! HOW WILL OUR CHAMPION BE ABLE TO HANDLE A POKÉMON THAT MADE DIANTHA THE CHAMPION OF KALOS?!"

In the stands...

"And so it begins..." Lance said as he saw the light die down to reveal the mega Pokémon with a body looking like a ballroom gown, along with the arms and the crest sticking out more.

"Diantha's Mega Gardevior is especially powerful. I wonder how well Ash can battle against a Mega Pokémon." Cynthia said with her arms crossed.

"Well, he did well against my Bouffalant," Alder said in a knowing tone.

"Yeah, cause you ended up taking a nap." Leon snarked with a grin on his face. This caused Alder to splutter, seriously regretting telling them that story.

With Ash's friends, the Kalos group looked concerned over the fact that Mega Gardevior is on the field.

"Oh boy, this can't be good," Bonnie said in worry, Dedenne chirping in agreement.

"Yeah. Mega Gardevior is extremely powerful. One hit and Pikachu can be out cold." Clemont said as he pushed his glasses up his nose.

Out on the field, Ash was smiling wide as he witnessed the Mega Evolution take place.

"Now we brought out the big guns, what will you do?" Diantha asked. She was feeling the adrenaline as well.

"How's about I use my trump card?!" Ash said as he crossed his arms with Pikachu doing the same. He then said a phrase the Kalos crew hadn't heard in a long time.

"LET'S GET STRONGER! STRONGER! AND STRONGER!"

Ash roared as Pikachu's eyes shown red as they both roared. A bolt of lightning soon struck down as the two auras linked. When it died down, Diantha's eyes widened:

Pikachu was now sporting a black tuft of fur like Ash's, his cheeks were now blue and also began to spark blue lightning. His torso was blue while the arms were still the same.

"No way..." Diantha whispered.

"You missed this? Here's the Battle Bond Phenomenon with your host, Ash-Pikachu!"

" I-I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE THAT IS WITNESSING THIS! OUR CHAMPION HAS JUST REVEALED A HIDDEN TRUMP CARD OTHER THAN Z-MOVE! HOW POWERFUL WOULD THIS NEW FORM BE?!"

The crowd soon went wild, eager to see the new form in action.

In the stands, both Gary and Prof. Oak were leaning over their seats to see the new form. But the biggest response came from Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie.

"No Way! Is that?!" Clemont said, his eyes bugging out

"The Bond Phenomenon!" Serena said as she saw the transformation take place. "I thought only Greninja could do that!"

"I hadn't seen that in a long time..." Alain breathed out in shock

"Wait. You guys knew about this?" Paul all but demanded, still reeling from the shock.

"Yeah. Back in Kalos, Ash had a pokémon that could become another form when their hearts linked as one. So far, only Greninja could access it but looks like he isn't the only one."

"So how powerful is it?" Trip asked, oddly eager to battle him.

"From what we know, it is pretty powerful. Greninja was able to go toe-to-toe with my Charizard, so it will be interesting to see how powerful Ash-Pikachu will be." Alain answered.

With the champions.

"WOAH! Talk about two becoming one!" Leon exclaimed as he looked over his seat.

"So this is the famous Bond Phenomenon Diantha was raving about," Cynthia said, with stars in her eyes.

"Now then...I wonder how powerful it will be in battle." Steven spoke as all of the champions watched, eager to see the form in action. They heard about it from Diantha but now they had a front row seat.

On the field, Diantha was still reeling from the shock of the Bond Phenomenon being used once again. She had to ask.

"Is that the...?" She began when Ash confirmed.

"Yep. While we were training, we remembered Greninja and the bond phenomenon. We thought, If I could do it with him, why not. It took a while but we managed it."

Diantha just smiled, eager for this battle to happen.

"Well, I hope you can pull off a fantastic performance. It is the final act. Now Gardevior!"

Gardevior glided over the field to the center.

"Let's rock, Pikachu!" Ash said as he crouched down and swung his fist back, with Pikachu darting to the middle.

"Pikachu, Iron Tail!" Ash said as he performed a breakdance before going into an ax kick. Pikachu did the same movement as the tail shone silver.

"Gardevior, Psychic!"

With the boost from Mega Evolution, Gardevior halted the attack and sent Pikachu to the side of the wall. But before he could make an impact.

"Electroweb to form a rebound!"

Pikachu launched a web of electricity to the wall, allowing him to cushion the blow before springing back.

"Boost yourself with Quick Attack!" Ash then spun around to form a reverse roundhouse. Pikachu soon zoomed forward with a white streak as he made contact with Mega Gardevior's head, sending her flying.

"Gardevior! Oh, now you're going to get it. Recover and use Mystical Fire!"

The empath soon got her bearings back together and shot out blue flames from her palms to Pikachu, the scorching heat stroking his fur. This also caused Ash to let out a grunt in discomfort. He had forgotten about this aspect of the Bond Phenomenon.

"You ok?' Pikachu nodded, eager to battle. 'OK, Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu let out a blast of lightning but Diantha was ready with a command.

"Not so fast! Use Shadow Ball!"

Gardevior quickly let out a blast of ghostly energy towards the Thunderbolt, canceling it out. But Ash was quick on the draw.

"Now, Quick Attack!"

Emerging from the smoke, Pikachu was speeding to Gardevior. Soon Ash made a leaping uppercut, to which Pikachu followed, clocking her on the chin. Diantha then decided to follow up with a move of her own.

"Moonblast!"

Gathering moonlight in her palms, she then charged up an orb ready to fire, however, Ash was also ready.

"Use Thunderbolt!"

While in the air, Pikachu soon shot out a blast of blue lightning as Gardevior fired. The resulting explosion resulted in the two aces landing in a heap on the field. As they slowly stood up, they began panting from exhaustion.

"Looks like they are getting exhausted," Diantha commented.

"Yeah. How's about we end this with one final attack?" Ash asked.

"Sure. Gardevior. Let's put it all into one final blow. Combine Shadow Ball, Moonblast and Mystical Fire then use PSychic to accelerate the blast!"

Gardevior did just that, forming a glob of ghostly energy and moonlight mixing with each other before being surrounded by a veil of fire. Using Psychic, she increased the size.

"Well then, let show 'em our Full Power!" Ash said as he crossed his hands in front of him.

"PIKA!" Pikachu chirped as he pulled the hat down before leaping to Ash, fist-bumping him then slapping his hand with his tail. As he landed, both Ash and Pikachu began to move in sync with a right fist out, charging the Z-Move.

" MUCH BIGGER THAN A THUNDERBOLT! 10 MILLION VOLT THUNDERBOLT! LET'S UNLEASH OUR POWER WITH THE SPIRIT OF ALOLA!"

Ash and Pikachu then crouched down before jumping into the air.

"GARDEVIOR! LAUNCH THE ATTACK!"

Gardevior soon unleashed a large beam of Shadow Ball, Moonblast, and Mystical Fire, which was then propelled forward with PSychic as a large thundercloud began to form and Pikachu began sparking.

"PIKAAAAAAAAA-CHUUUUUU!" Pikachu yelled out as he shot out lightning in the seven colors of the rainbow. Soon Ash began to spin vertically before dropping down with two fists raised.

" HERE COMES THE FINALE! LET'S GIVE IT ALL WE GOT! FULL POWER!"

Ash soon slammed his fists as Pikachu did the same, the lightning soon shot towards the blast Gardevior launched. The two attacks clashed but the Z-Move was clearly stronger as it began to overpower the blast and sent towards Gardevior. As it was happening, Diantha thought one thing:

'Ash...you really have grown from a young trainer to your Champion Status. You have earned this victory.'

Gardevior seemed to have the same thoughts as the blast was obliterated by Pikachu's and she was struck by the 10 million volt Thunderbolt. The blast was so great that everyone had to cover their eyes from the blast blinding them all. When the smoke subsided, Pikachu landed and was panting from exhaustion. Gardevior was standing...until the mega evolution wore off, reverting her back to normal as she stuttered then landed on her side, out cold.

"GARDEVIOR IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! THE WINNER IS PIKACHU AND THE WINNER OF THE EXHIBITION MATCH IS ASH!"

The crowd roared from the amazing battle, cheering both trainer's names. The loudest came from the other champions, who all screamed Ash's name in cheer and excitement along with his friends and mother...well I don't need to explain why

" I-I DON'T BELIEVE IT! OUR ALOLA ACE HAS DONE IT! HE HAS BEATEN THE CHAMPION OF KALOS IN A 6-ON-6 MATCH! HE HAS TRULY SHOWN THAT HE HAS A PLACE AMONG THE TOP TRAINERS! AFTER A LONG HARD MATCH! HE HAS PROVEN HIS SKILL!"

Ash simply flopped back in exhaustion as Pikachu simply flopped onto his chest.

"We really did it. We managed to beat a champion in a fair match." He then looked at Pikachu who was fast asleep. "Yeah, you earned that nap. We did it."

Diantha returned Gardevior with a proud smile.

"You really have proven yourself today, Ash"

In the stands...

"HE DID IT!" The girls cheered in happiness as they hugged each other in joy

"He came a long way from Kanto," Brock said with Tacey and Gary nodding their heads in agreement.

"Man, that was an awesome battle. Now I can't wait to battle him!" Max said with stars in his eyes.

"Get in line, kid. Ash owes me a rematch." Paul said, with a grin. Ash has gotten stronger. But he was simply knocked away by Trip.

"No way in hell. I'm battling him." He said but Alain had gotten in between them

"Ladies, you're both beautiful but I'M the one he'll rematch." Soon the boys began fighting on who would rematch him.

"Now that was a battle filled with a lot of strong flavors! A truly hearty battle!" CIlan proclaimed.

"Man, I have never seen Ash battle so hard!" Clemont said.

With the champions:

"Ash has really come a long way," Lance spoke with pride.

"That's right. Now...hope he gets ready for our crazy antics." Steven said

"Oh hun, this is Ash. Chaos is in his blood." Wallace spoke

"Well said. I got to remember to treat him for ice cream." Cynthia said.

"Oh boy, he'll be old and grey by then..."Alder whispered to Leon who snickered.

"Well, that was definitely a Champion Time. Welcome to the big leagues, Ash!" Leon said.

Back on the field, Diantha was looking over Ash as he was gazing up to the sky. Offering a hand, he helped him up.

"That was an amazing battle, Ash. You have definitely shown you were worthy of the title of Champion." She said.

"Yeah, but you put up such a great fight. I still have a long way to go."

"Well, I and the other champions will help you. I just hope you can stand the chaos that comes when we get together."

Ash just giggled. "After all the journeys I've been on? Chaos is now in my bloodstream."

Diantha giggled as she and Ash faced the audience, who were cheering, raising their hands in victory.

It was a battle to behold.

Holy Motherfucking shit! This was one long chapter to write! But I am SO glad I did! Anyways here is a list of COmbo moves used:

Missile Strike - Brave Brid + Steel Wing = User uses Brave Bird to dive down then increases the momentum with steel wing, increasing in speed. The target is struck with a lot of force

Railgun SHot - Aura Sphere + Thunder Punch = User builds up an Aura Sphere then uses Thunder Punch to charge it with electricity before launching. It increases in speed and when it strikes the user gets struck with lightning.

Black Meteor - Meteor Assault + Night Slash = USer dives down with Meteor Assualt but the blade is surrounded by Night Slash. It then strikes the target hard.

Draco's Lightning - Dragon PUlse + Thunderbolt = The user builds up a Dragon Pulse before powering it up with Thunderbolt, launching a powerful blast mixed with electricity and draconic energy.

Ice Aqua Jet - Aqua Jet + Frost Breath = User uses Aqua Jet then freezes it with frost Breath from the inside, striking the opponent with a lot of force.

Also, I added some old techniques of Ash's, especially the Battle Bond Phenomenon with Pikachu. Bet you weren't expecting that? I mean, Pikachu was with Ash since the beginning, it would be a crime to not have a bond phenomenon with him.
