Chapter 1088
Everything She Wanted
Young Allison and Savannah flew the B-25 through the Central Valley past some of the spots that the team previously saw action at. They followed the railroad tracks so they passed over several of the locations. Soon they were over the Tehachapi Mountain Range.
"There's the Tehachapi Loop." Young Allison said. "I've only seen it from the satellite photos and drone images. I've seen railfan photos and a lot of YouTube videos too."
Young Allison and Savannah both read the reports in addition to viewing body cam footage. There was a lot missing from them that happened on a personal level for Cameron.
Savannah liked the view of the engineering marvel below them as they flew. She could see there was a series of curves before and after the actual section track that made a circle and looped over itself to gain elevation. It was all done to keep the ruling grade to just over two percent. If the grade became too steep, train length would need to be excessively short.
Some of the photos that she'd viewed showed trains that were of over a mile long in length. Those always contained at least one set of helper locomotives. Some had mid train helpers as well as rear end helpers.
There was one vintage video taken sometime during the early Eighties that showed sixteen locomotives on one train. There were six on the point, four more back about one third of the length, four more two thirds back from the end of the train and two rear end helpers. It was quite impressive to view. She didn't know what the longest train ever operated over Tehachapi Pass was or what the most amount of working locomotives on one train was. She needed to refocus.
"It's quite impressive." Savannah said.
Young Allison spotted several trains. Most of them were double stacked container trains.
"There seems to be a lot of rail traffic." Young Allison said.
Cameron needed to suppress more than a few glitch impulses. She was able to keep everything under control. The events that happened in the Tehachapi area as well as the follow up incidents still caused her a lot of trauma. She was glad that there were a lot the people around her who supported her. She looked down on the railroad tracks below and a double stack train.
"There always are a lot of trains." Cameron said. "Two railroad companies share this section of the track from Bakersfield to Mojave. There are still sections of single track. Those are mostly through tunnels and over some bridges. The single track sections lead to bottlenecks with the high volume of rail traffic."
Cameron remembered she was going through some hard times when the action around Tehachapi developed before. Everyone got her through those troubling times. The incidents still haunted her. She looked at Young Allison and Savannah. Those troubles needed to be past her. The future held much promise and everything she wanted….
She reached forward and touched both Savannah and Young Allison on their shoulders. They both looked back at her and smiled.
Cameron really hoped the love of those two beautiful girls would provide her with everything she wanted. It was something beyond sex. She wanted the friendship and the love. She wanted companionship. She wanted everything that the girls could offer her. She knew that the girls could make her a better individual. That was what she wanted. She wanted to be better than what she was. It was still hard for her to understand that everyone loved her for how she currently was.
Ally and Derek were in the TF-51. It was a modified, dual control P-51 Mustang.
Derek and Ally passed over one last set of small mountains and into the San Fernando Valley.
"Look at the waterfall." Derek said.
Ally knew what he referred to. There were actually two of them. One of them was larger than the other. Only one of them was currently turned on. It was the smaller one. She was aware there was a complete story behind the water that came down the man made waterfall. She didn't want to think Derek wanted to hear the entire story. There was a lot of underhanded politics involved with it. The city of Los Angeles basically stole all the water from the Owens Valley. For thirty years after the pipeline was built to bring the water, it was routinely attacked by the people from the Owens Valley who wanted their water back. The pipeline was often dynamited. It wasn't until almost a hundred years later when the courts finally ruled that the people in the Owens Valley could keep some of their water. She thought the greatest feature about the whole thing was that the water was transported for several hundred miles up and down over hilly terrain with the use of siphons. It was done without any pumping stations. That in itself was a marvel. She decided to cut the story short.
"That's the 'Cascades'. It's part of the Los Angeles Aqueduct. It was to show off the accomplishment of bringing water to Los Angeles so it could grow as a city. The water came from several hundred miles away. It was from the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range." Ally said. "The water and electrical systems were two of the first things Skynet destroyed in an area, unless they planned to use it."
Derek thought back to a similar situation from his future. It was something that neither side wanted to destroy because they both wanted to be able to use it.
"That sounds like the Serrano Point nuclear power plant at Avila Beach." Derek said.
Ally was familiar with the scenario from two different futures. They were very similar.
"That's a case in point." Ally said.
Derek and Ally were in the landing pattern in just a few minutes. They were lined up for One Six Right, one of the runways at Van Nuys Airport.
"I see we are about to land." Derek said. "We got back here really fast."
Ally 'hot dogged' it most of the time. She didn't know when she would have the opportunity to fly the Mustang again. She wanted to make the most of her flight time.
"I pushed it all the way." Ally said.
Derek wondered how fast they went. He spent most of his time looking out the canopy instead of at the instruments.
"What was our fastest dive speed?" Derek asked.
Ally achieved the speed Derek requested two separate times.
"It was just over five hundred miles an hour, twice." Ally said. "I didn't push it past that. I'll save that for the air racers at Reno."
Derek was aware that the Reno Air Race was where the fastest piston engine airplanes gathered to race every year. Most of them were modified Warbirds. He always wanted to go there and watch them race. He thought that must be a real site to see a half a dozen or more Warbirds running flat out at a very low altitude as they went around the pylons. The altitude varied between fifty feet to two hundred and fifty feet above the ground. It was very low for aircraft traveling at that speed.
Ally made a smooth touchdown after she received clearance to land. She taxied back to the hanger area.
Derek noticed Ally wagged the tail from side to side as they taxied.
"Why do you swing the tail back and forth like that?" Derek asked.
Ally was aware of some past incidents involving other Warbirds that were tail draggers. Forward visibility wasn't very good while they were on the ground. She didn't want to be involved in an accident herself.
"It's so I can see clearly in front of me." Ally said. "I don't want to taxi over some 'puddle jumper' and chop it up with my propeller. That big four bladed prop would tear it to shreds."
Ally pulled up to the ramp outside the hanger and shut the big Merlin off.
They exited the plane.
Derek seemed to sway a little.
"Are you OK?" Ally asked.
Derek was pumped full of adrenaline. He was still exhilarated about the flight.
"I'm good." Derek said. "I just need to get my land legs back."
Ally was glad she didn't push it harder or do more aerobatics. She didn't want to have to clean up any mess if she would have made Derek sick. She'd needed to clean up enough messes in Cameron's interrogation room at her base. She found Derek very pleasant to be with. The 'Allison programming' on her chip from the 'Neural Interface' was very favorable of the Reese brothers.
"I can give you a tour of the other aircraft Cameron has here or take you back so you can see Riley." Ally said. "She should be back soon."
Derek wanted to see the aircraft now but felt Riley might need him. He wanted to bring Kyle too when he came back to see them.
"Can I come back here another time?" Derek asked. "Maybe I can bring Kyle. I think I should go back to the base for now. I need to check on Riley. I want to really thank you for this."
Ally smiled at him.
"I'll do anything for you." Ally said.
Derek could see the beauty in Ally. She was a lot like Allison in every way. The main difference was she seemed 'happier'. That struck him as very strange that a machine based on a human seemed 'happier' than the human she was patterned after. He figured it was what the girls went through that soured them to life. He couldn't blame them for that.
"I'll drive." Derek said.
Ally didn't want to seem rude but she thought it would be better if she drove.
"Hardly…." Ally said. "I have the keys."
Normally Sheila hogged all the flying or driving when they were out. Sheila was very dominant in everything they did. Now it was her turn. That applied to things that happened in the bedroom too.
Derek thought that was just as well. He still felt a little shaky from their high performance flight in the Mustang. He really wanted to see the other aircraft but he was worried about Riley. He knew that love was about sacrifice. He would sacrifice his personal interest for the woman that he loved.
John was afraid Kyle wanted some action. He knew that Derek and Kyle always liked to push the recon to see what they could squeeze out of it. He wanted to nip that in the bud in case it started to happen again today with Kyle.
"I want you to keep track of what Kyle and Bob are doing at all times." John said.
John Henry tilted his head slightly.
"I always do." John Henry said.
John didn't want to make a big deal out of this.
"You know what I mean." John said. "I don't want things to expand."
John Henry did know. John wanted his family protected. It made sense when there were plenty of Terminators to go around. That was unless Cameron picked up on the threat. She would often go and take care of the problem herself.
"You want to make sure they don't escalate anything beyond a recon." John Henry said. "Is there something I need to know?"
John felt he made his point.
"No." John said.
John Henry checked the airport footage.
"Derek and Ally are back." John Henry said.
John didn't like others to take chances but he was sure he would have done the same things that Derek did if he was in the P-51 as well. He really wanted to take a flight in some of those aircraft. He just wanted everyone to show a little restraint.
"It's nice to know they're back safe with all the 'hot rodding' that they were doing." John said. "I wonder what happened that we didn't see."
John Henry believed that information was readily available.
"You can always ask Derek when he gets back." John Henry said.
John wasn't so sure that was a good idea. He was worried about any repercussions for Derek if he needed to tell them something that he wasn't supposed to. He didn't want to have to have him lie either.
"I don't want to put him in a compromising situation." John said. "He will be afraid if he says too much that Ally might get in 'trouble'."
John Henry could see John thinking. He determined what John wanted was only something he needed to ask for from Cameron.
"Cameron will take you flying if you want." John Henry said. "All you need to do is ask her."
John actually was thinking about Young Allison and Savannah. He decided to 'edit' his response.
"I was thinking about asking Savannah." John said.
John Henry thought that Cameron would approve that request even sooner.
"That sounds like an effective strategy." John Henry said. "Do you want 'fixed wing' or 'rotor wing'?"
John thought about that for a few seconds.
"Do you mean an airplane or a helicopter?" John asked.
John Henry tilted his head slightly.
"That's what I said." John Henry said.
John wanted to go in one of the Warbirds. He wouldn't mind a helicopter flight either. He thought that was almost like asking him who he would rather be with first. Would it be Young Allison or Savannah? He really wanted to 'break them in' and take their virginity.
"I'll take either one." John said.
John had been in their Blackhawk a few times as well as the company jet. He was ready for a new experience. He was ready for a new experience with the girls as well.
John Henry studied the reports on Savannah's flying. He was impressed with her abilities.
"Savannah can do both." John Henry said. "She can do it very proficiently I might add."
John was aware of Savannah's adventure with the UH-1 before. The most extreme one was the event with all the girls hanging upside down outside of it like a circus act. That was another close one for all of them.
"Do we know anything more about where Cameron is?" John asked.
John Henry was aware it wasn't unintentional that they didn't know. He didn't think now was the time to push it.
"No." John Henry said. "CamNet has them off the radar and everything else."
It was possible there were more Fanatics or Grays to follow up on there. There was always the Syndicate and the Cartel to pilfer and loot. There were always some poor girls to free from the sex trade. There were always future Scavengers to terminate. Everything around them was a 'target rich' environment.
John wanted Cameron to use caution with the girls along. He thought some of the choices were worse than others that Cameron could make.
"I sure hope they don't go back to Nevada, especially with Young Allison along." John said. "Nothing good seems to happen there."
John Henry was aware that he was the center of the attack that the Terminator tried to launch on them at the top floor of the casino hotel. He'd been operating under very primitive conditions. He would try and track what he could but he didn't want to make any guarantees. He figured the main thing to watch for would be 'incidents' that occurred.
"I'll let you know." John Henry said.
John Henry doubted he would know until after the fact. CamNet would back Cameron's play. CamNet and Cameron would both back Savannah's and Young Allison's play as well.
Hanna was pleased with Claire's progress. Her marksmanship was much improved and the handling of the weapons was much smoother.
Cameron previously spent time with Claire in the Young bunker going over all the weapons along with Young Allison. That specialized instruction seemed to help both of them improve.
Sarah called a 'cease fire'.
Everyone put down their weapons after clearing them.
"I think that's enough for the girls." Sarah said. "I'm going to need to get some food ready for Jan."
Claire felt that they all brought something to the table. In this case it could be quite literally. She was aware that all of the girls from the future and Sarah were much more skilled at anything dealing with Skynet or combat than she was or probably ever would be. She was however skilled in many domestic things.
"I can do that." Claire said. "That's one thing I'm good at."
Sarah thought about some of her meals that turned into disasters. She wasn't even sure if the term disasters would cover it all. There had been some real failures. Most of the time she'd been inattentive doing other things and the food burnt. She was pretty sure if it was possible to burn water that she would have done it. She seemed to recollect more than one pan burnt black after the water she intended to boil had evaporated. The pans sat on the burner without anything in them until the metal blackened. There weren't many things she liked to ask help for. In this case, she was willing to do so. Maybe it wasn't just the help she wanted but the person who would be able to provide that help. She thought it would bring her a little closer to Claire.
"Maybe you can teach me." Sarah said.
Claire quickly looked at Sarah. She wondered if there was a double meaning there. She was willing to give it a try. There was more than one thing that she was willing to give it a try on. She remembered Jan and Summer were there.
"I'd love to." Claire said. "I try to teach Allison, both of them, and Summer whenever I can."
Jan wanted to learn more about cooking. Nobody there was any good at it except Savannah. She was always out or busy with the girls.
"I want to learn how to cook." Jan said.
Summer learned from her mother.
"I can help you." Summer said.
Claire and Sarah smiled at each other.
Sarah already knew without having to see her do it that Summer could out cook her. She knew she was good at some things.
"I guess we all have things we can do a good job at or at least a little better than some other things." Sarah said.
Claire felt that was true and there could always be improvement too. There were always new learning opportunities of various types.
"We can all learn and improve at everything." Claire said.
Sarah did a quick visual inspection of the weapons. She did a few quick visual inspections of Claire as well. The more she looked, the more she liked. The old desires inside of her were definitely reawakened. She needed to concentrate on the task at hand.
"Let's get the weapons cleaned up and put away." Sarah said.
This part reminded Claire of the clean up after preparing a meal.
"This is like doing the dishes to me." Claire said.
Hanna wanted Claire to have more time to cook. She volunteered to do the dirty work.
"I can finish up here." Hanna said.
Claire appreciated the offer. She also wanted to do her part and improve herself. She didn't want to run out on the others when it came time for the 'dirty work'.
"No. I need to know how to do everything and do it right." Claire said. "I need to learn to do the same things that everyone else needs to do. We all need to share equally."
Claire glanced over at Summer and Jan.
"It won't take us long." Sarah said. "OK girls, where do we start?"
Claire watched as Summer made sure the M9 she held was clear. She actuated the take down lever and pulled the slide off the frame. She compressed the recoil spring and removed the guide rod and barrel. It took her only about three seconds to do that.
"Can you show me that again?" Claire asked. "Except this time I need it in slow motion."
Summer looked at her mother. She didn't know how to tell her the bad news.
"That was slow motion." Summer said.
Claire looked at her youngest daughter for a moment.
"I want you to teach me that until I can do it the same as everyone else, including you." Claire said.
Jan didn't say anything but she figured they wouldn't be eating for a while.
Savannah piloted the B-25. They were about to pass Mojave. Edwards AFB loomed over to the east.
Young Allison spotted the rows of parked aircraft around the Mojave Airport.
"There are a lot of parked airliners down there." Young Allison said.
Cameron looked at the rows of planes with some disgust. It was the fate of unwanted or 'obsolete' machines. She wondered if some day that wouldn't be the fate of the endoskeleton Terminators. Maybe they would be stacked in big piles waiting to be melted down for other purposes. She remembered seeing a picture one time of a bunch of 'Pacific Electric' streetcars that were stacked three high on top of each other for as far as the eye could see. She knew what their fate was.
"Most are headed for the scrapper's torch." Cameron said.
Young Allison thought there could be other uses for most of the aircraft. It seemed that more of them could be converted to 'fire retardant bombers'.
"What a waste of machinery." Young Allison said.
Cameron didn't want to think about machines being scrapped. She hoped the girls were up to some more action. She really didn't care what kind it was at this point.
"Where do you want to go to now?" Cameron asked.
Savannah would feel safer with Young Allison at home in her bunker. It was the same way Cameron felt about John. She really didn't want to say it out loud but she felt that she needed to.
"I want to take Allison back to Palmdale." Savannah said.
That was about the last thing Young Allison wanted to hear. She quickly checked the gauges and their fuel load.
"Do we have to?" Young Allison asked. "It's still early, we have plenty of fuel."
Savannah wanted Young Allison to accept moderation.
"You need to exhibit control and restraint." Savannah said.
Young Allison felt that she did. She hadn't done anything extreme or almost died like Savannah had. He also wanted to remind Savannah of her future goals and intentions.
"I have control and restraint." Young Allison said. "I'm not the one who risks my life regularly. I intend to do the same things that you've done. I mean all of them too."
Savannah felt Young Allison's adventure into the past would be a pretty big endeavor.
"You want to do something for a few years that will require a lot of sacrifice." Savannah said.
Young Allison hoped to be gone only two years. That was 'old enough' for everything. John would accept her then. She'd be able to have a baby for Cameron before that. She decided not to vocalize that last part. She wanted to remind Savannah that she would be there too at some point. It wasn't like she was going to be all alone. There would be plenty of Resistance personnel there for various reasons.
"You will come and see me. Young Jesse will be there too." Young Allison said. "My mom will be there. Anna and Cameron will be there."
Savannah didn't care for Young Allison's comment that she was going to do all the things that she'd done. It didn't seem to be the right location to get into a discussion about it. It would most likely turn heated. She knew that Young Allison's reference was to all of the things sexual that she'd done. It applied to the Skynet activity as well.
"I don't want to discuss this now." Savannah said. "We can talk about it later in a better setting, preferably someplace more appropriate."
Young Allison didn't think she had a whole lot to lose at this point. She wanted to spend time with Savannah. She didn't know what would happen.
"Will you stay the night with me?" Young Allison asked.
Savannah looked over at Young Allison for a long moment. She thought about all of the implications.
"I can sleep in Allison's room." Savannah said.
Young Allison didn't look happy.
Cameron didn't want there to be a problem. She wanted Young Allison to think things through.
"This is where you need to use good judgment." Cameron said.
Young Allison wondered about what was going on. She wasn't really sure at this point.
"Is this a test?" Young Allison asked.
Savannah needed to learn a lot of things the hard way. She didn't want some of them to be as hard for Young Allison as they were for her. There was a cruel reality to life.
"Life is a test." Savannah said. "This is part of life."
Cameron wanted to offer a few suggestions. There were still things that could happen for all of them.
"We can do a few touch and go landings on my private airstrip." Cameron said. "Sheila and Gail can return the Mitchell back to my hanger at Van Nuys."
Young Allison noticed that Cameron left herself out of the equation. She wanted to know more.
"What about you?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron looked at Savannah. She thought about what could happen at the Young residence. Things could go several different ways.
"I haven't decided yet." Cameron said.
Young Allison looked at Cameron and Savannah. She was ready to claim what was hers. She would make that clear even if nothing happened. She wasn't about to be put on the back burner, even for Cameron. She decided to make a point.
"You and John need to get ready for your cruise." Young Allison said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She didn't need a lot of personal things.
"I will only need a few minutes to pack." Cameron said.
Cammy and Anna were in the rear fuselage. They listened to the conversation.
"We can't compete against 'her'." Cammy said.
Anna knew that Cammy meant Cameron.
"We're both 'her'." Anna said. "That's why we think we can't."
Cammy thought about her relationship with Savannah. She was sure Young Allison and Anna were headed down the same path, even if it took them a while to get there.
"You will be to Young Allison what I am to Savannah one day." Cammy said.
Anna often wondered what the future would hold. There was no guarantee of that. She wasn't in any of the futures and neither was Cammy.
"I don't know what I'll be." Anna said.
Cammy thought back to her creation by Cameron and what her 'assignment' was. She understood that she was to be a surrogate for Cameron in Savannah's life. She was 'Cameron' when she was created. She was a 'Cameron clone' anyway. She didn't know how long she would be activated for before Cameron terminated her and replaced her with herself.
"I don't either." Cammy said. "I've expanded much further than I ever thought was possible."
Anna felt just the opposite. She felt the extent of her existence was very limited. She didn't see why all the restrictions needed to be placed on her. They weren't placed on any other female Terminator.
"I haven't expanded at all." Anna said.
Cammy thought it was all part of the process of the development of the girl they were 'assigned' to. As Savannah's sexuality grew, so did hers. Savannah encouraged it for her. She didn't like to see Savannah with others at first but once she started to share with others she saw the beauty in it like Savannah told her.
"You will expand when Young Allison does." Cammy said. "That's how it was for me as Savannah expanded."
Anna previously asked Holly about how her relationships and sexuality expanded.
"Holly told me the same thing." Anna said. "She always thought it would only be Allison for her but like you, now it's everyone."
Cammy thought that Anna needed to give it some time.
"It's very beautiful, Anna, one day you will experience it all too." Cammy said.
Anna questioned a lot of what went on around her.
"I really don't know." Anna said. "The future looks lonely."
Cammy was sure that she would be pushed aside at some point. She figured the same thing would happen to Anna as well. That would be when both girls decided to be with Cameron and John. Cameron would make sure that they were out of the picture. She didn't think it was so much as to keep them away from Savannah and Young Allison as it was to keep them away from John. She hoped rather than deactivation that there would be other opportunities available to them. She could think of two of them right now.
"We can always ask to watch over Jan or Summer when we're replaced." Cammy said. "Cameron will want them to have a guardian at some point."
Anna thought Summer already picked her guardian.
"I think Bob will be Summer's guardian." Anna said. "She really likes him and he seems to like her."
Cammy felt Cameron would want more control in Jan's and Summer's lives as they matured. She would want to keep Summer 'available' for John as a backup. It would be much the same way as she did with Young Jesse.
"Cameron will assign a female Terminator for that task." Cammy said. "She likes to control the 'direction' of the future."
Anna understood what Cammy meant. She was sure Cameron would want Jan and Summer to be 'together' until she needed Summer for John. She believed Cameron would make sure that all of the females were focused on each other. That was all of them except Riley.
"Maybe she will." Anna said.
Cammy felt the plane slow down and looked out from the port waist gun position.
"I think we'll land soon." Cammy said.
Anna was sure that there would be a little more flying and practice landings involved
"I think they'll do some touch and go landings." Anna said.
Cammy wondered if Cameron stayed at the Young residence if she would be sent back with the plane. She wasn't going to ask Cameron. She didn't want to give her any ideas. The more she thought about it, the more she realized it didn't matter. Cameron would do what she wanted, with who she wanted, whenever she wanted. She believed that Cameron would take the virginity of each of the Metal girls with her chip in their chassis or through tether control. She didn't plan to submit willingly to allow Cameron to do that with her chassis. She was glad she wasn't a Bitch like Cameron was.
Bob received a secure transmission from John Henry that John seemed concerned about Kyle on their current recon. He knew what the rules were. He didn't like being put in the middle of what everyone wanted to do.
Kyle noticed that Bob looked a little upset.
"Is everything alright?" Kyle asked.
Bob didn't want to get into the conversation with Kyle about the reminder he was sent. He limited his response to the rest of John Henry's transmission.
"Affirmative…." Bob said. "John Henry sent me some updates."
Kyle hoped that some action would develop.
"Is there anything new or that we need to worry about?" Kyle asked.
Bob hadn't received any information that changed anything.
"No." Bob said.
Kyle checked the surrounding area as they drove.
"We must be getting near the target area." Kyle said.
Bob was aware that they were close.
"We're almost there." Bob said.
Kyle felt his anticipation build. There was always the chance for combat to erupt. He didn't think it would though. Everything that he'd been out on recently had been very sedate.
"I'm sure it will be nothing." Kyle said. "Just like at the rest of the recons I'm allowed to go on."
Bob knew some of the work was tedious at times. Some things drug on for a long period of time. Some leads paid off, most didn't.
"Every lead needs to be checked." Bob said.
Now Bob was worried that maybe there was more here than met the eye. The new information from John Henry might change everything.
Everything She Wanted
Some more than others
Are more easily daunted
Perhaps that's because
Their past is haunted
All of their pathetic lives
They've preened and flaunted
Their own self worth exaggerated
As who they were was vaunted
Many in their selfish way
Were bullied and affronted
As they were ridiculed
Banished and taunted
When with reality
The bully was confronted
All their past actions
Were denied and punted
After repeated abuse
The future was blunted
It created a dead end
For everything she wanted
Nobody
