** Hi everyone ! Thank you so much to everyone who has been following along with my story :) I really appreciate the likes, follows, and reviews. This chapter would have been longer but I am currently at a family reunion and have terrible service :( Enjoy! **

Addie and Dustin spent another three hours hanging out on the couch, watching cartoons, and talking about random topics. When Dustin decided to head over to Mike's, Addie figured she should get ready to head to Eddie's. She realized after he had left the store on Thursday that they hadn't specified a time, so she was crossing her fingers he would actually be home.

Today she opted for her favorite denim overalls, a black knit sweater, and her Doc Martens. Seeing as it was almost October, it was starting to get chillier out.

Addie grabbed her backpack off her bed and tried to decide what all to bring. She was currently taking English, Chemistry, World History, Pre-Calculus, and a creative writing elective. She was all caught up on her math homework, but wasn't sure if Eddie would even have a math textbook at home so she tucked that into her backpack. In chemistry they were doing experiments so there was nothing to study there. World history they were preparing for a test so she threw her notes, textbook and flash cards into her bag.

The only other work she really had to complete was in her English class. It was a world literature class and they were currently reading Hamlet. Addie had just been assigned a report on what Hamlet meant in his 'to be or not to be' soliloquy. Addie figured they would either be working on English or History seeing as Eddie was in both of those classes with her.

She grabbed her notebooks, pencil case, and her copy of Hamlet, threw them in her backpack and headed out of the house.

Dustin had explained how to get to the trailer park so Addie didn't have to carry the note with directions Eddie had given her.

It actually took less time than she had expected to get there and before she knew it she was pulling up to Eddie's trailer. She was still nervous he wouldn't be home, or that he had forgotten their plan to study together.

She placed her bike up against the mail box and walked up to the door. She knocked twice and waited.

It took a few moments but finally she heard movement in the trailer. The door swung in and standing in the doorway was a middle aged man whom Addie assumed was Eddie's uncle.

"Who are you?" He asked gruffly, taking a drag of his cigarette.

"Hi, I'm Adelaide," Addie held out her hand and smiled politely.

The man stared at her hand then back up at her, "Who?"

Addie withdrew her hand and crossed her arms across her chest, "Um, Adelaide? Did Eddie not mention I was coming today?"

The man snorted, "You think that boy tells me anything? No, he didn't mention you."

"Oh, okay," Addie was starting to feel uncomfortable, "Well, I agreed to help Eddie study. Maybe he forgot he invited me over…"

"You're going to help him study?" He asked skeptically.

Addie nodded, "Yes sir."

Eddie's uncle rubbed his chin, "Well good luck to you. I worry sometimes that boy will never get out of this town." He finally stepped out of the way and gestured for her to enter, "He's still sleeping. I have to head to work but feel free to wake him up or make yourself comfortable until he wakes up."

Addie thanked him and set her bag down beside the dining table. He hesitated as if he wanted to say something more but decided against it and walked out the door.

Once he was gone, she took a minute to analyze the trailer. She had never actually been in a trailer home before; growing up with wealthy parents, most of her friends had been fairly well-off as well.

It was very obvious to her that both of the men that lived in this home were a bit disorganized. There were dishes in the sink and on the counter, the table was full of papers, the couch had clothes strewn over it.

Addie had no desire to go into Eddie's room to wake him up, so she decided to make herself busy. She needed a somewhat organized space to do homework anyways. She got to work decluttering the table and couch, and once that was done she started cleaning the dishes.

She was nearly done washing the dishes when she heard footsteps behind her, followed by a very groggy, "What the hell are you doing firecracker?"

Addie turned her head to see him and paused for a second. He was only wearing boxer shorts. Fuck, she thought, why does he have to look good?

"What does it look like I'm doing?" she shot back before turning back to the dishes.

She heard him walk up to her, and when she glanced over he was leaning against the counter watching her.

"It looks like you broke into my house while I was sleeping just to clean up," he said with a grin.

Addie glared at him, "Excuse you, I did not break in, your uncle let me in, and pardon me for thinking you would be awake by…" she checked the clock on the wall above the sink, "almost three in the afternoon. Did you forget already about our plans to study?"

Eddie chuckled at her annoyed tone, "Now how could I forget about that, firecracker?"

She continued glaring at him, "What happened to princess?"

He shrugged, "I don't think a princess would break into someone's house just to do the dishes."

Addie started to protest, but decided it wasn't worth her energy. She went back to the dishes, "Go put some clothes on or something," she huffed at Eddie.

Suddenly he moved so he was standing directly behind Addie. He put his head on her shoulder and she could almost feel him smirking at her, "Why?" He asked her, "Can you not handle the sight of me without any clothes?"

Addie turned around and slapped his stomach with the dish towel. Eddie laughed and backed away, "Just… go put on some clothes," she said in frustration.

Once he had walked back to his room she let out a long, strangled breath. She would not let him know how affected she was seeing him nearly naked.

She finished up with the dishes and went to gather her things on the dining table. Eddie walked back in, wearing his trademark hellfire shirt and black jeans.

"You ready?" asked Addie.

He gave her a withering stare, "No. I need coffee and a smoke."

"I would appreciate some coffee," Addie told him with a smile.

He grunted, "Not a smoke?"

She shook her head, "I only smoke when I'm drinking."

"You know, that could be arranged," Eddie teased as he grabbed down two coffee mugs and poured them both a cup of coffee.

"No, we need to get at least a little bit of work done first," Addie scolded.

He set the mug down in front of her, took out a cigarette from the pack by the table, then turned the chair so it was facing backwards. He sat straddling the chair, then lit his cigarette.

Addie looked down at her coffee, "You just assumed I drink my coffee black?"

Eddie exhaled a cloud of smoke and observed her, "Was I wrong?"

She pursed her lips, "No. You were right."

He smiled triumphantly and took a sip of his coffee.

Addie merely shook her head and pulled her books in front of her, "Alright Eddie Munson, what are we working on?"

"God, are you going to make me work already? If I knew you were such a nerd with school work I wouldn't have agreed to this," Eddie complained.

"What the fuck did you expect? You said you wanted help studying, so I am here to help you study!" Addie exclaimed, throwing up a hand in frustration.

"Well, to be completely honest, I thought you were just looking for an excuse to spend more time with me," Eddie teased, winking at Addie.

She had to stop herself from kicking him under the table. "Fine, we can relax for thirty minutes and then we are starting on something!"

Eddie smiled and took another drag of his cigarette. "So miss Adelaide, if we are to be study partners and if you want to be a part of my next campaign, I think we should get to know each other a bit more."

Addie narrowed her eyes, she disliked talking about herself. "What do you want to know?"

Eddie rested his arms on the back of the chair, "Let's start with why exactly you're spending your senior year in Hawkins, Indiana."

Addie studied him, she didn't want to share her life story with this boy she barely knew, but it was looking like this study session wasn't going to go anywhere for now at least. She let out a sigh, ah what the hell, she thought to herself.

"On second thought, maybe it's not too early to start drinking."

Eddie cheered and slapped his hands together, "That's more like it!"

He was about to stand up but Addie held out a hand to stop him, "Here's the deal; you're going to study for history. For every question you get right, I take a shot and will answer one of your annoying questions, but if you get the answer wrong you have to take a shot. Okay?"

Eddie barely even had to think about it before he agreed, "Deal!" He jogged back to his room.

Addie groaned, she had a feeling this wasn't going to end well.
