The next day was Monday; both Addie and Dustin had a habit of sleeping in, so they both frantically got ready for school, and biked to school together. Thankfully they arrived on time, though Addie was feeling slightly sweatier than she would have liked.

"Man, we really got to work on getting up earlier," Dustin huffed, leaning on his knees for support as he caught his breath.

Addie laughed, "Yeah, or you need to workout more." Though she was sweaty from the fast bike ride, she had grown up playing a variety of sports and activities, her favorites being kickboxing and mixed martial arts. However, she hadn't worked out since moving to Hawkins, and could definitely feel how out of practice she was.

Dustin merely flipped Addie off and walked off to where Mike and Lucas were waiting by the front door.

As Addie was walking up to the school she spotted Eddie and the older Hellfire boys standing by his van in the parking lot. Eddie was holding a cigarette in his fingers and laughing at something Gareth had said. Just then he looked up and caught Addie's eye; he smirked at her and winked before going back to talking to the boys.

Unfortunately, someone else was watching the interaction between Eddie and Addie. Andy, one of the popular jocks, was standing against the railing along with Jason and Patrick. Addie hadn't interacted with the jocks much since her encounter with Becky and the other cheerleaders in the cafeteria on her first day. She didn't have anything against them, some of them were really nice. She had chatted with one cheerleader Chrissy after class a couple times, and Addie had been paired up with Patrick in Chemistry for experiments and he had been friendly. However, Addie tried her best to avoid Andy.

There was something about him that made Addie incredibly uncomfortable, and when she turned to walk into the school after Eddie winked at her, she found Andy standing there watching her.

Addie stopped and crossed her arms, "Can I help you?" she asked Andy.

He smirked, and while when Eddie smiled at her like that she found it endearing, on Andy it felt like a threat. He looked at Addie, and then lifted his gaze to where Eddie was in the parking lot, "Nah, just…observing."

Addie's lip curled and her hands clenched by her side, she knew he was trying to intimidate her. "Why don't you go observe your ugly ass in a mirror and leave me alone, mkay?"

Patrick tried to stifle a laugh, and Jason smiled and pulled Andy back, "Come on man, we're gonna be late to class."

Andy threw a hostile glare in Addie's direction before letting his friends pull him into the school.

Great, Addie thought to herself, what a lovely start to the week.

She gave herself a little shake, to get rid of the icky feeling the encounter had given her, and headed into the school. Her first class of the day was English, and thankfully all they were doing was watching a screen adaptation of Hamlet. It was fairly painful to watch as the movie was made in the 40's, but it made for an easy morning.

Addie walked into class and went to sit near the back of the class. Mrs. Lewis, the senior English teacher, rolled in the TV a couple minutes later and got the film set up. She was Addie's favorite teacher at Hawkins High, with her crazy patterned dresses from the 70s, her frizzy curly hair, and her sometimes overbearing passion for literature.

They started the movie, and were about 10 minutes in when the door opened slowly and in walked Eddie, late as always.

Mrs. Lewis sighed, "Really Mr. Munson, can you not even manage to be on time on movie day?"

Eddie held up his hands in apology and went to sit in the open seat at the back of the class, which happened to be right beside Addie. He grinned when he saw her and plopped down in the seat. The next thing Addie knew, Eddie was picking up his desk and moving it right beside Addie.

She heard Mrs. Lewis sigh again, "Mr. Munson, what are you doing?"

He held up a hand again, "Sorry Mrs. Lew, I couldn't see, just moving over so I can fully engage with the film." He threw a charming smile her way.

From what Addie could tell, most of the teachers found Eddie insufferable; however, Mrs. Lewis cared for all of her students equally, and always let Eddie's antics slide.

Addie glared at Eddie and whispered as quietly as possible, "Seriously?"

He just smiled cheekily back at her and held a finger to his mouth, telling her to be quiet.

Addie rolled her eyes and went back to watching the film. After about ten minutes, Addie heard scribbling beside her and she glanced over to see Eddie writing something on a slip of paper. A moment later he slid the paper in front of Addie. She threw her head back in frustration, but opened the note regardless. It read, "Do you have plans tomorrow?"

Addie gave Eddie a confused look, but he kept his eyes on the screen at the front of the class. She quietly pulled a pencil out of her bag beside her and wrote back, "I work until 6:30, why?" She slid the paper back to Eddie.

He opened the note, took a moment to read it, and started writing something back. He slid the note back. Addie opened it, "Come to my show afterwards. My band is performing at the Hideout."

Addie raised an eyebrow, she knew Eddie played guitar but he had never mentioned having a band, she wrote back, "You never told me you had a band?"

Eddie smiled when he read her response; he wrote back, "There's lots of things you don't know about me, Firecracker," along with a winky face with its tongue sticking out.

Addie rolled her eyes and glared at Eddie, but he was too busy trying to keep himself from laughing. She sighed and wrote back a quick, "Fine, I'll come."

Eddie smiled again and nodded in acknowledgement, folding up the note and tucking it into the pocket of his jean vest.

The two of them sat quietly for the rest of the film, Addie occasionally having to nudge Eddie with her foot when he started to nod off. When class was over, Eddie pulled his desk back and headed out of class. Addie grabbed her things and headed in the opposite direction towards the chemistry classroom.

Periods 2 and 3 went by without any major issues, and finally it was time for lunch. Addie was now very used to sitting with Robin and the rest of the band kids at lunch, and they had gotten used to having her around. Though Addie came across as a bitch at first, she was always nice to those who were kind to her, so she generally got along with the rest of Robin's friends.

Addie was sitting in between Robin and a saxophone player named Claire at that moment, and when Robin picked up her sandwich and took a big bite Addie took that as a good moment to ask her friend a question. "Have you ever heard of the Hideout?"

Robin nearly choked on her sandwich, and Claire gave Addie a 'what the fuck look'.

"What?" Addie asked defensively.

Robin finally stopped coughing and laughed, "No it's just, that's like the biggest dive bar in the area. Only major drunks and stoners hang out there."

"Oh," Addie said in reply and played with the chips on her plate, "It's just I might go there tomorrow to watch Eddie's band play, and I wanted you to come with me."

Robin let out a sarcastic "Ha!" and told Addie, "No way in hell."

"Why not?" Addie whined, pouting out her lip, "I told Eddie I'd go and I don't want to go alone! Please?"

"No! Sorry not gonna happen," Robin protested, shaking her head aggressively.

Addie continued pouting, giving Robin her best puppy dog eyes, "Pleeaassee Robin? I'll owe you big time!"

Robin groaned and threw her head back, "Oh my god, fine! I'll come, but you know he's gonna wanna come too."

Addie laughed, "Yeah, he seriously hates missing out, doesn't he?"

"Big time."

That was how Addie found herself on Tuesday night standing outside the Hideout with Steve and Robin. Robin had been correct, when Addie had brought up their Tuesday night plans when she had seen Steve Monday evening he had insisted he came along as well. He claimed it was to protect the two of them as the Hideout had quite the characters, but Addie knew he just hated feeling left out.

Addie was wearing a jean vest, her black ripped jeans, and a fitted black long sleeve shirt. Robin had joked that Steve and her looked like they were wearing couple outfits, as he had also shown up in black jeans and a jean jacket. Addie had responded to this by giving Steve a big kiss on the cheek and referring to him as "honey buns," until he had threatened to make them walk home.

The three of them had walked into the bar and found a somewhat clean table to sit at. The bar wasn't too busy; there were probably about 10-15 patrons in the bar, most of them were middle aged biker men, and most of them were already wasted.

Robin kept fidgeting in her seat, but Steve didn't seem overly phased but the tougher crowd. Addie was plenty used to being dragged to biker bars by Sam back in Chicago, her friend went exclusively for older biker guys.

At around 8:30 Eddie and his group Corroded Coffin came on stage to set up. The group consisted of himself, Gareth, Jeff, and Ethan, so basically it was ¾ of the members of Hellfire.

Eddie was setting up his amp when he looked up and saw Addie sitting in the crowd; he smiled and gave her a small wave before going back to getting set up. The other three boys spotted Addie in the crowd and waved happily at her; she could tell they weren't used to having audience members in their age category, particularly ones that they knew.

While they were waiting for them to start, Steve and Addie went to the bar to get beers, both of them had fake IDs with them. They got Robin an iced tea, she was not happy with them for this.

Finally it was time for the group to go on. Addie wasn't sure what she was expecting, but once they started playing she realized she hadn't been expecting them to be…well, good.

It was obvious that they were still learning, but for a group of teens/young adults, they were quite good. Addie could tell how much Eddie loved his music; one of the first thoughts she had during one of his solos was that if he put as much effort into his schoolwork as he did into practicing guitar, he would have graduated two years ago like he was supposed to.

Their set was all covers of songs; they played primarily heavy metal music, though there was also some late 70s rock music thrown in as well.

It was getting late now, and Eddie grabbed the mic and announced that this would be their last song. He looked directly at Addie as he said this, and winked at her. When the music started, she understood why. Their final song of the night was Children of the Damned by Iron Maiden. It just so happened to be on the album that Addie had been wearing a shirt of when she had first met Eddie.

Addie held her beer in the air and swayed to the music, singing along with the band from her seat. Steve and Robin just laughed at her, though Steve was vibing to the music nearly as much as Addie was.

When the song ended, everyone in the bar started cheering for them. The cheering was mainly drunk hollering from the other patrons in the bar, but it was something at least.

Eddie hopped off the stage and walked towards where Addie and them were seated. "Hey," he said as he got to their table. He pushed his hair out of his eyes; he was sweaty from being on stage for so long, and his hair was sticking to his face. Addie's thought to herself that she shouldn't find his sweatiness as attractive as she did.

"Hey! You guys were awesome!" Addie replied.

"Yeah?" Eddie asked, looking between the three of them.

"Yeah, um, you guys were actually really good," Robin said awkwardly, smiling at Eddie.

Eddie smiled at her, "Well thanks Buckley, I gotta say, I never thought I'd see you here, you either Harrington."

"Yeah well, Steve thought we might need some protection from the big bad bikers," Addie joked.

"Ah, they're not so bad," Eddie reassured them, "They're incredibly loud drunks, but they'll only fight you if you steal their beer or suggest they're wearing fake leather."

Addie laughed at this, but Robin looked seriously concerned at this statement. Just then Gareth yelled at Eddie from the stage to help them take their stuff down, Eddie waved absentmindedly at them and turned back to Addie, "So, study session tomorrow? We can start looking at some D&D stuff as well. We have to get you and your character ready for the next campaign! We're starting Halloween Day, you only have three more weeks to prepare."

Addie scrunched her nose playfully, "You think I need three whole weeks to prepare?"

Eddie tucked his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, "Hell ya, if you're gonna be a part of Hellfire, you need to be an expert."

She smiled, "Yeah, okay. Meet me after school?"

Eddie nodded, then thanked them all for coming one more time before turning and jogging back to the stage to help the rest of his band.

Addie was grinning to herself when she noticed both Steve and Robin trying not to laugh, she crossed her arms defensively, "What?!"

Robin smiled, "Oh, you are so in over your head."

"What do you mean?" Addie demanded, but Steve just threw an arm over her shoulder and led her towards the door.

"Don't worry about it Wolff," Steve said as they walked towards the exit.

Robin laughed and walked ahead of the two of them, both of them refusing to explain to Addie what they meant. However, Addie didn't care, she was too excited about tomorrow to worry about whatever they meant.
