Hermione had not regained her usual presence of mind yet, so she just looked a little astonished when she saw her wand being magically drawn out of her cloak's inner pocket and flying anywhere. Only when she heard the voice she flinched:
"Home so early, Minister?"
She whipped around.
"Roy?" she whispered in horror.
"I don't think we should call each other by our first names. Sit down."
Roy pointed his wand at the chair he had moved a little away from her desk. Hermione did as told. Then he fixed her on the chair so that she was unable to move and thus could not Disapparate. He secured the door of the flat with an Imperturbable Charm, then turned back to her again.
"You know why I'm here?"
Hermione swallowed.
"You're going to kill me," said she in a low voice.
"You said it."
This happened in March 2018. To understand why it did, we have to go back about half a year to the well-known farewell moment at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow.
So Ginny and Harry Potter have just said goodbye to their sons Albus and James, as Hermione and Ron Weasley did to their daughter Rose at Platform nine and three-quarters, where the children are about to leave for Hogwarts to start their term, the first for Albus and Rose.
It is September the first, 2017.
