Chapter 1132

It Could Be Unrelated

John was a little worried about what John Henry found during one of his searches. He wanted to get it taken care of before Cameron came back and attempted to get involved. He didn't want anything to happen to her anytime, especially since they were supposed to leave on their cruise tomorrow. He wanted John Henry to try to handle it as quickly as possible and use their drones if they could.

John Henry sent a drone to the target location that he'd uncovered. It appeared it wasn't going to be as simple as just blowing up the building. They didn't have any solid information yet either.

The drone was only on station for a few minutes when there was a new development.

"John, there's a vehicle leaving the targeted structure." John Henry said.

John wondered if they'd been detected and how. The drones only arrived a few minutes ago.

"Did they 'make' us?" John asked.

It didn't appear to be a hasty departure. The vehicle didn't seem to be in too big of a hurry.

"I don't know. I don't think so." John Henry said. "They don't appear to be running."

John didn't want to lose the current target.

"Stay with them." John said. "Too bad we don't have more drones. I'm glad that you have at least one."

John Henry had more than one drone to work with.

"I have a second drone to follow them." John Henry said. "One will be able to remain at the building."

John was under the impression that all of the drones were returned to their bases. The current operation was over and there was no active threat.

"I thought you sent most of them back." John said.

John Henry believed that's what he'd done. He was suddenly aware that he had multiple drones to work with. It was a surprise to him as well.

"I did." John Henry said. "CamNet held them in the area to stay with the team members that are still out."

John figured that Young Allison was behind that. It looked like a good call because now something looked like it was about to develop or could anyway. That gave them additional options for their immediate use that they wouldn't have possessed otherwise. It always seemed Young Allison was one or two steps ahead of the Command Center. That meant she was always one or two steps ahead of John Henry and him. It gave him a lot of confidence that the Resistance matters would be well looked after with his week long absence.

He also wanted to get everything resolved before Cameron got in on it. That was still his biggest worry. Maybe he should concentrate on the actual threat first and not worry about who would respond to the threat. He quickly checked the satellite overlay map to see what team members were close. It was the Metal girls.

"Let's see where the vehicle goes." John said. "Get the Metal girls in on this. They haven't returned yet."

John didn't like to send them all back into action again but it was what they were constructed for. They were sure getting a workout today. He really wanted to get things wrapped up before Cameron returned. He wanted them to use caution so none of them were shot up or damaged. He would wait until they were closer to any actual contact before he pointed that out. He didn't think it would do any good to mention it now.

Sometimes he needed to remind himself the Metal girls were all very scary robots from the future. They were the same as the male Terminators. It was mainly their sheath that was different. He knew the programming was a little different as well. He wasn't always sure that was a good thing. Most of the Metal girls seemed just like human girls at this point in time.

The B-25 thundered across the night sky over the Pacific Ocean. They had left Santa Monica Airport just minutes ago.

Savannah flew in the darkness towards Catalina Island. It was clearly visible in the distance. Sometimes it was shrouded by a fog bank between the mainland and the island.

Derek and Kyle would switch positions between the nose and the top turret on and off through the flight. Cameron took a look around from the top turret. Every time they switched. She wanted to make sure there was nothing around them. There wasn't. John Henry and CamNet made sure of that.

"It looks like Avalon is the only thing lit up on the island." Derek said. "I mean the only major thing."

Kyle spotted a few other lights on the island as well as in some of the small boats in and around the harbor.

"There are a few scattered lights here and there." Kyle said. "What's that big structure on the right side of the harbor as we face it?"

Cameron glanced down at where Kyle indicated.

"That's the Casino." Cameron said.

Kyle was surprised to hear that. He thought the 'Native Americans' controlled all the gambling in California.

"Do they have gambling there?" Kyle asked. "It seems like an out of the way place but it would bring tourists to the island."

Cameron thought she'd better explain herself. There was one other aspect of his statement that she didn't want to get into. It was true that the 'Indians' now referred to as 'Native Americans' controlled much of the gambling in several of the states. There were also other entities involved now. The heavy hand of the Syndicate reached far and wide.

She wasn't sure the term 'Native Americans' told the true story of human migration. What were known as 'Native Americans' came from Asia. Maybe they should be referred to as 'New Asians' or 'Transplanted Asians' to be more accurate. Their genetic makeup was most similar to those from the Asian continent. Then again, if everything was taken back a step further, some believed that humans originated in Africa. Maybe technically they should be referred to as 'New Africans' or 'Transplanted Africans'. She wasn't really sure why humans were hung up on designations since they all originated from the same core beings. She thought it was a shame that they killed each other over trivial differences between them. Didn't they know that Skynet was the enemy? It wasn't other humans, unless they were Grays, Scavengers or the anti-Metal group. She was aware that Skynet became the unifying factor in the future for all the different groups of humans to work together. It was a shame it took the loss of billions of lives for them to figure that out. Sometimes she wondered what was wrong with people. Her mind wandered too much. She needed to clarify everything for Kyle.

"'Casino' is a word for a 'gathering place' in Italian." Cameron said. "It houses a theater and ballroom on the upper level. It was built nearly a hundred years ago."

Savannah figured John and Cameron would be able to get a close up look soon. Catalina was on their itinerary.

"Catalina is one of the stops on Cameron's cruise." Savannah said. "Sometimes they go to Santa Barbara or Monterey as an alternate stop. Most of the reviews rate Catalina with a higher rating than the other two locations."

Cameron knew they would need to 'tender' any of those stops as there was no place to dock a large cruise ship at those three locations. The small dock there and the harbor itself weren't equipped for a giant cruise ship.

Derek could see the distance wasn't that far from Catalina to the mainland. It only looked to be about twenty five miles or so.

"It seems like the ship could reach Catalina in a couple of hours." Derek said.

Savannah wondered about some of those local destinations as well. Her research indicated a cruise was more than its destinations. She wanted to elaborate on that fact and make Cameron understand it as well.

"A cruise is more about the experience on the ship as opposed to where it goes. They don't spend a lot of time at each of the port destinations they stop at." Savannah said. "I've flown over all of the ports of the cruise in the last few days except Ensenada."

Savannah wanted to stay out of Mexican airspace. Various Warbirds, especially in the Sixties and Seventies, were used to smuggle drugs into the United States from Mexico and Central America. Now most of the aircraft used for that illicit activity were small surplus jets that were at nearly every airfield. She was aware that the B-25 Mitchell was a prime candidate for some of that smuggling because of its 'long legs'. It could easily fly thirteen hundred miles on its standard fuel supply. With an auxiliary tank in the bomb bay that distance could be stretched out to two thousand miles or more. It could do all that while carrying a couple of tons of cargo, whatever that cargo might be.

Cameron wanted more people to come with them. She didn't agree with Savannah and Young Allison that only John and her should go. CamNet controlled the cruise line now. All of them could go. They were always last minute cancellations. As a matter of fact, she could have CamNet delay dozens of flights into the Los Angeles area which would ensure that there would be plenty of passengers who didn't make it. She would make sure that all of them were reimbursed in full and given a free cruise at a later date. She figured maybe the best way to do that was to prevent the flights of those passengers from ever taking off so they would be less inconvenienced by everything. She understood it was something that Savannah would want her to do to take care of any displaced passengers. She did however think it would be better if Savannah didn't know that she did that. There would be a lot of other individuals affected as well by the canceled flights.

She didn't want to get on thin ice but she did want to make her position known.

"You're all welcome to come." Cameron said. "I would actually like that and I believe John would like it as well. He loves his family very much."

Savannah didn't want that. She didn't want Cameron to 'lean on' anyone specifically. That meant Jesse, Claire, Vanna or Allison. She cut her mic, turned around and looked at Cameron so only Cameron could read her lips to 'hear' her.

"No. No one else is going until the next time." Savannah said. "This trip is about John and you. It's for John and you only."

Cameron only nodded slightly. It was an issue that she didn't agree with Savannah on. She actually believed it would be a better experience for all of them to be able to go together. There would be plenty of alone time in private. She still wanted Savannah or Young Allison to accompany them. She wanted to give John a real honeymoon. What would be a better honeymoon for John than a young virgin? She smiled to herself. She knew two of them would be better.

Savannah returned her attention to flying. She knew Cameron wasn't done yet.

Right now she was most concerned about getting Cameron and John on the cruise ship tomorrow. Cameron needed to be undamaged for that to happen. She felt that was her job to make sure that Cameron remained undamaged until she boarded the cruise ship. So far she'd been able to tie Cameron up most of the day.

Savannah overflew Catalina Island and then banked back around to the north. She was going to come inland by Point Mugu.

Cammy wanted to remind Savannah about some restricted areas.

"Watch the Naval airspace." Cammy reminded her.

Savannah already stayed clear of San Clemente Island.

"I'll stay out of it around San Nicolas Island and at Point Mugu." Savannah said.

Savannah remembered when she was still young that Cameron read her a book called, 'Island Of The Blue Dolphins'. It was about a Native American girl that was left alone on San Nicolas Island for eighteen years. It was about a girl who lost everything, like her. She survived and prevailed. She often thought about the story and what Cameron tried to tell her as she grew older. Maybe Cameron tried to tell she wasn't alone in her loss and that it was possible to persevere against all odds. It was the strength of the person inside the Native American girl that helped her overcome all obstacles. It also reminded her that even when she felt alone, it could be worse. There really was an 'all alone'. Nobody was around.

Savannah cleared her mind. She checked her map and heading.

Cameron received the newest information from CamNet about the possible Gray location and vehicle. She decided to let John Henry and CamNet deal with it. John and Young Allison were on it. She was with Savannah now and they were all having a good time. Everyone seemed happy and that made Cameron feel content. It made her feel 'happy'.

She didn't want to deal with Skynet right now. She wanted to think about her honeymoon with John tomorrow. She understood Savannah and Young Allison really looked out for her and wanted it to happen. She needed to respect that. She really couldn't understand their reluctance to go. She thought it would be very special for a young woman to have her first sexual experience on a cruise ship. It seemed very romantic to her. She was sure things would be a lot smoother for Savannah since she'd already delivered two babies. It might be a little tougher for Young Allison the first time, especially if everything was still intact.

John wanted to activate his closest resources. He wanted to have everything taken care of before Cameron could get involved. The closest Terminators to the location were the Metal girls.

John Henry contacted them.

Ally was ready for some alone time with Sheila. She wasn't pleased when John Henry called them. It looked like they may see action soon. She wanted to make her displeasure known when she responded to John Henry.

"You want us, again?" Ally asked.

John Henry wasn't sure if 'again' was the proper word to use. The operation that they'd just finished up was more of a personal matter than a Resistance matter. The Resistance matter was earlier in the day when they'd dealt with the suspected Fanatics. He thought they were the best choice. They were the nearest team.

"You and Sheila are closest." John Henry said.

Sheila wasn't thrilled either. She wanted to make her displeasure known as well.

"You mean closest to getting back to the base…." Sheila said. "I haven't been speeding for nothing."

John Henry wanted them to know more help was on the way.

"Cam, Hanna and Holly are all responding too." John Henry said. "Jim will assist you."

John didn't want things to become a problem. There was a job that needed to be done and the Metal girls were the closest. He wanted to get things wrapped up before Cameron returned. He didn't want to make a big deal about it.

"The drone is following the vehicle. You're only loosely trailing it." John said. "We want to know where it goes. You can respond if necessary. So far this is only a recon. We don't know what will need to be dealt with."

John Henry gave them the information.

Sheila thought Gail ended up with the best deal.

"It looks like Gail lucked out." Sheila said.

They both knew Gail was in the B-25 now.

Ally was sure there was something that would thrill Gail even more than being on the bomber.

"Since she's with Savannah, she really lucked out." Ally said.

Sheila wondered if it was some domestic task the vehicle was conducting. Maybe it was a dead end lead.

"It's probably someone going to the laundromat or a fast food joint." Sheila said.

Ally thought she could spike Sheila's interest.

"I'm looking at the drone footage." Ally said. "I can't tell if it's a male or a female."

Sheila perked up at the prospects of it being a female. She was still upset she didn't get to say 'Hello' to the blonde Bitch. She knew what should be in her pocket right now that wasn't. She reached down and touched the reassuring cold steel of her knife. Maybe she could still hear some screams tonight.

"If it's a female, we'll intercept her." Sheila said.

Ally wasn't surprised at Sheila's sudden change of disposition.

"I thought that would get your attention." Ally said.

Sheila wanted to close up some on the suspect vehicle.

"How close are we?" Sheila asked.

Ally was able to view an overlaid satellite image that showed the Terminator locations around the immediate area.

"We're not close enough to put the grab on them anytime soon." Ally said. "The location map shows Jim is the closest."

Sheila lost interest rapidly with that news. Cameron previously gave her a new assignment for tomorrow and she was ready for that. She was pretty sure it entailed not being shot up.

"I think this will be nothing." Sheila said. "I need to get back to the base so I can pack for the cruise tomorrow."

Ally thought that sounded more like an excuse than anything. She didn't think Sheila needed to pack much.

"Cameron told you to show up at the crew boarding area with Bob." Ally said. "She said both of you only need to show up there and everything would be waiting for you."

Sheila was aware that's what Cameron told her.

"She said our uniforms will be waiting for us. I might want to bring a few personal items." Sheila said. "I still don't know what my job will be."

Ally didn't want Sheila to upset Cameron.

"Don't get Cameron angry at you or your job will be scraping barnacles off the hull." Ally said.

Sheila was aware her antics often seemed to irritate Cameron. Some of them even to the point where it appeared Cameron was going to damage her sheath as 'punishment'. She was sure there were more than a few times where Cameron was going to rip one or both of her nipple rings off. She wondered if Cameron would actually give her some diminutive job to punish her. It really wouldn't surprise her.

"I've upset her a few times." Sheila said. "Maybe I'll end up as a dishwasher."

Sheila briefly wondered if a dishwasher or barnacle scraper actually wore a uniform. Neither one seemed like a very dignified task.

Ally thought a change of locations would be different, even if it wasn't fun. She wanted to go. She thought it would be nice to get away from it all for a few days.

"I think you're lucky." Ally said. "I wish I could go."

Sheila was ready to swap chips. The prospect of washing dishes or scraping barnacles was very discouraging to her. Maybe they would make her clean the bilge. She thought of a way out.

"Do you want to switch chips?" Sheila asked. "You can take my chassis and go. You can go as me."

Ally was still upset over the 'modifications' Sheila made to her chassis when she was last in it. They were probably a lot of things Sheila would modify over a seven day period.

"And leave you in my chassis for a whole week?" Ally asked. "Hardly…."

Sheila didn't see what the big deal was. Everything she'd 'trimmed' or 'removed' regenerated. She'd spent two years on and off in the past in Cammy's chassis. All those modifications regenerated too. The last few times did take quite a bit longer. She figured she'd better concentrate on what was occurring now.

"We have a drone over us, right?" Sheila asked.

There were several images available to Ally.

"I'm looking at footage of us right now." Ally said.

Sheila hoped for a wider view. She wanted to know what else was around them.

"I want to make sure we are not being set up." Sheila said.

As soon as Sheila said that, the view of the drone footage widened another ten blocks around them in all directions.

With that act, Ally witnessed the proof CamNet was always listening.

"You got CamNet's attention." Ally said.

That peaked Sheila's interest. She knew CamNet was always listening as well.

"I'd like to give her some real 'attention'." Sheila said. "She wouldn't forget it either."

Sheila briefly considered flashing the drone. She reached down to pull her top off. She had it half way up her midsection before she stopped. She let go of the shirt and it dropped back down. She figured it would cause some kind of a beef with Cameron. She didn't want to wash dishes for a week. She wanted to clean the bilge or scrape barnacles even less.

Ally looked over at Sheila and wondered why she looked so depressed.

Young Allison didn't like the way things seemed to unfold. John and John Henry wanted to send the drones back to the base after the operation appeared concluded with the sex traffickers. She felt otherwise. She was glad that she'd kept drones in the area with the various team members.

"I smell a rat." Young Allison said.

Anna wondered why. Everything seemed straight up to her. She checked over all the data one more time. Everything appeared normal to her.

"How so is that?" Anna asked.

Young Allison decided to lay it out and see if Anna concurred.

"It wasn't too long after the drone arrived that this vehicle took off." Young Allison said.

Anna tilted her head slightly. Everything seemed factual so far.

"Yes. That's correct." Anna said.

Young Allison was sure they'd been made. It was all too coincidental for her.

"If these are the Fanatics, maybe the drone got close enough for whatever SkyMaster technology they have to detect it." Young Allison said. "They may be trying to draw us out or even set a drone up to be targeted."

Anna watched as Young Allison's statement prompted CamNet to take action on her own.

"CamNet has informed me that the drones are all taking evasive action and widening the search around the Resistance vehicles on an intercept course." Anna said. "John is about to contact you."

Young Allison smiled to herself. She could tell she always made John nervous. Cameron told her she would always be in control around him, especially after they mated. She cringed a little bit at the thought. She was still going to give it a try, even if it wasn't what she wanted to do. She at least wanted to see what it was like. She didn't want her mind to go there now.

"I didn't think he would have the stones." Young Allison said. "I make him nervous."

Anna was aware of Cameron's instruction. She believed that was all Cameron's doing by making Young Allison very sexual whenever she was around John. From her personal observation she always witnessed John was even more nervous when there were others around when Young Allison was near him. He seemed more afraid of them than anything. He probably didn't want any of them to point the finger at him and accuse him of anything.

"Cameron told you that you would." Anna said. "Here he is."

Young Allison smiled. Cameron told her a lot about John. She said it would help her 'motivate' and guide him in the future. She explained that he would need a lot of positive and negative reinforcement to follow her instructions and desires.

John was more than a little nervous when he decided to call Young Allison.

"Allison, thanks for the warning." John said. "We may have been playing this too cool. The drones that were already available were a big assistance as well. That was good foresight on your part."

Young Allison didn't take credit for the drones being there. She just let that slide. She stated the obvious. She wanted to set up a metaphor for John to think about.

"Low hanging fruit always has its hazards." Young Allison said.

John looked at his phone for a moment before he responded. He wondered if that was a veiled reference to Future Riley or not. He really wasn't sure. He decided to move on with the operation. He wasn't about to ask.

"It's the easiest fruit to set a trap for…." John said. "What would you do right now?"

Young Allison was ready for that question. She'd already gone through a dozen scenarios.

"My instinct says to attack the building and the car." Young Allison said. "I don't think we want anyone to approach either one of those."

John Henry wasn't surprised at what happened next. He wanted to notify John what just occurred.

"CamNet has just targeted the building and the car." John Henry said. "I've lost control. The weapons are hot. She's ready to fire. "

Anna quickly looked over at Young Allison with that revelation. She wanted her to hold things in check.

Young Allison looked at Anna and shrugged her shoulders. She didn't want to step on John's or John Henry's toes.

"CamNet will return control back to you for now, John Henry." Young Allison said. "I didn't say to attack them yet. The information we're dealing with is sketchy."

John wanted to know what she would do on her own. He was sure that she would have taken more decisive action by now. It was just his feeling.

"If you were doing this alone, like you will be tomorrow, is that what you would do?" John asked.

Young Allison felt that the Fanatics should be dealt with, with 'extreme prejudice'.

"Yes." Young Allison said. "It's too coincidental and the Fanatics can't be treated like normal Grays. Every encounter with them has proven that."

John pointed out another possibility.

"It could be unrelated." John said.

John Henry glanced over at John when he said that. He didn't think so. He wanted to stick with the operational matters.

"I see all the drones were moved to a higher altitude when CamNet took control." John Henry said.

Young Allison didn't want to leave any unnecessary vulnerability.

"The drones should also all be covering each other in case any hostile HK drones show up." Young Allison said. "You can change the setup since you have control again. It was just a precaution that I would have used."

John didn't think they'd done anything to endanger anyone from the Command Center.

"None of our vehicles that are tracking the target vehicle are directly following it." John said.

Young Allison spotted a pattern that reeked of a sucker play. It was something that caught her attention right away. She wanted to see if John noticed it as well.

"Is the target vehicle actually going anywhere?" Young Allison asked.

John looked at the satellite overlay map. He'd been unable to figure out a new destination based on the amount of turns the target vehicle continued to make.

"That's what we're trying to determine." John said.

Young Allison's question triggered an answer from John Henry.

"I see what she's getting at." John Henry said. "They are laying out a giant square around the building on the streets."

Young Allison saw it as a trap. She saw it as a way for the enemy to try to identify one of their vehicles so it could be targeted.

"I think it's a net." Young Allison said. "It seems to be done so that they can catch something that might be one of us at this point."

It appeared the 'enemy' was willing to gamble a little bit to see what fish would get caught in its net.

Cam received feeds from John Henry and CamNet

She disliked the information less and less. She didn't want to play with any version of Skynet again. The blown in half SUV that they'd abandon earlier seemed like a pretty good reason to rethink what they were doing.

"I think we are going to break off." Cam said.

Holly and Hanna received the same information that Cam did. They were both surprised at how directly involved Young Allison was.

"We don't normally get this much direct input from Young Allison." Hanna said. "She lets CamNet and Anna deal with John Henry."

Holly was aware how much Young Allison's 'activities' bothered Allison.

"Allison is worried about all the time Young Allison spends doing this." Holly said. "She's restricting her life and personal development."

Hanna could tell it bothered Claire deeply too. Claire felt powerless to intercede on her daughter's behalf for fear of losing her other daughter as well.

"Claire worries about it too." Hanna said. "She's worried it's going to happen with Summer as well."

Cam was spawned from Cameron's program. She knew what Cameron's end game was.

"Cameron doesn't worry about it." Cam said. "It's Young Allison's destiny to lead the Resistance with John and Savannah. Nothing else matters."

Cam thought that Holly and Hanna should be more worried about their current situation. It was possible they could be in a fight for their lives soon enough.

With the new information and revelation from Young Allison, John was worried about the three Resistance teams he sent after the suspect vehicle.

"Maybe we should have everyone disengage." John said. "I don't like the way this is shaping up."

John Henry once again controlled the drones. Everything was already targeted when he resumed control. He did nothing to alter that.

"I can attack the building and vehicle." John Henry said. "We're good to go right now."

John was more than a little unsure. He was worried about collateral damage. He was worried they didn't even know what the targets were.

"We still don't know what they are." John said.

John Henry thought deception was a way of the future.

"The Fanatics used an old day care center before in Nevada." John Henry said. "Signs mean nothing."

John knew that there were other ways to check what he wanted done.

"What have your public record searches turned up?" John asked.

John Henry didn't care for what he found. It was actually because there was nothing to be found that was current.

"There's nothing of relevance." John Henry said. "The building shows as going into bank default several years back. It should be vacant."

That was the final straw for John. That was the same tactic the Fanatics used before. He should have listened to Young Allison earlier. It was time to act. He wanted to make sure collateral damage would be to a minimum. There was more than likely going to be a very large explosion.

"As soon as it's clear around the building, hit it." John said. "I don't want anyone within two blocks of it when you do."

John Henry waited a minute. He wanted to see if CamNet did anything differently. Nothing changed. Once it was clear all around the building, he fired.

"A missile is on its way." John Henry said. "It was fired the same way as the last one. There is just enough propulsion to get it on a terminal trajectory for the target. It should arrive unannounced and unobserved in the darkness."

There was an explosion a few seconds later. There was no immediate secondary explosion. The building was on fire now.

John Henry used the standard procedure.

"I've blocked all emergency responses." John Henry said.

Without a bigger explosion John Henry began to doubt it was the Fanatics.

"It may not have been the Fanatics." John Henry said.

Without a bigger explosion John began to doubt it was Skynet associated.

"I sure hope it was Skynet related now." John said.

John Henry watched the drone footage.

"There's no one exiting the burning structure." John Henry said.

John watched the drone images as well.

"I don't know if that's good or bad." John said. "The vehicle hasn't bolted yet."

John Henry didn't think the vehicle knew yet. They may have heard the explosion but were far enough away that they may not have known what it was. Because it was dark they couldn't see the smoke easily from where their vehicle currently was.

"They may not know what happened. We have all communications cut." John Henry said. "When they make their next turn they may see the flames."

If the vehicle did one of two things, that action would determine if they were a target or not.

"Then we wait to see if they go back or run." John said.

John Henry felt they were ready for any contingency.

"A drone has them locked up." John Henry said.

John didn't know if they were going to be able to get a clean shot at the vehicle if it decided to run. He knew at some point they would.

The warning that a net may have been cast to catch one of them didn't sit well with the Terminators near the location.

Ally looked over at Sheila with the latest news.

"Cam already broke off." Ally said.

She looked over at Ally's phone to see who else was nearby.

"Jim hasn't." Sheila said.

Ally saw that Jim used caution and fell back some.

"He's keeping his distance." Ally said.

Sheila still hoped to get a female prisoner.

"We may be needed." Sheila said.

Ally decided to inform Sheila what she knew about the driver. She didn't want Sheila to make a bad decision.

"It's a male driver." Ally said. "CamNet gave me a close up."

Sheila was a little upset. If she would have known that earlier she would have backed off when Cam did.

"You're just telling me now?" Sheila asked.

Ally wanted to make a point to Sheila. She'd watched Sheila make bad decisions before based on the same information.

"I wanted you to see how quickly your judgment could become clouded." Ally said.

Sheila was aware her desire to interrogate a female influenced her. Now it was time to fall back. She wanted a new set of wheels as well.

"We're breaking off for now too." Sheila said. "It looks like we get to boost another ride tonight."

Ally thought that was probably a good idea for all of them.

"I recommend that we all do a vehicle." Ally said. "I don't think we have ever done so many vehicle changes in a day before."

Sheila tried to lighten the mood.

"It's night time now." Sheila said.

It didn't work. Ally ignored her.

All of the Metal girls concentrated harder on any of the vehicles around them at this point.

Anna looked at Young Allison after the building was hit with the falling missile. There was only one explosion.

"Was that the result you expected?" Anna asked.

Young Alison watched the building catch on fire. Nothing else occurred.

"No." Young Allison said. "I expected a little more to happen. We need to wait and see."

As they watched the building burn for a few minutes, they saw a figure emerge from the flaming inferno.

There was a massive secondary explosion and the fleeing figure was consumed in the blast.

Anna watched Young Allison nod.

"That's what I expected." Young Allison said. "It took a little longer than I thought. I'm sure that if a second missile had been used it would have expedited the massive explosion."

Anna thought the whole thing was a big gamble on sketchy information. They only went off of phone data for the strike with no reconnaissance.

"I think you got lucky with this one." Anna said.

Young Allison didn't feel lucky. Everything was a calculation.

"We'll see." Young Allison said.

Young Allison wasn't done yet. There was still another active target that needed to be dealt with.
