In the neutral territory separating the Clover, Diamond, Spade, and Heart Kingdom, lies a kingdom embodying all of the four kingdoms' ideals. It represents unity, and bonds the four kingdoms together.

It's called the Ace Kingdom.

6th of April, Year XXXX

25 years ago today, Asta from Hage Village successfully fulfilled his dream of becoming the Wizard King. He worked hard and achieved great accomplishments in his time as a squad member of the Black Bulls, and eventually as their captain. Following the retirement of Wizard King Julius Novachrono, Asta was promoted to the rank of Wizard King due to these extraordinary accomplishments.

Around the same time, our King Yuno married Mimosa Vermillion, a member of the royal family. Due to his own accomplishments during his time in the Golden Dawn, as a squad member, vice captain, and captain. He has also displayed utmost loyalty to the Clover Kingdom despite his connection to the Spade Kingdom, and although he wished to be Wizard King, he wholeheartedly agreed to become King of the Clover Kingdom instead, handling political matters that our Wizard King isn't exactly equipped to.

After former peasants such as Yuno and Asta were appointed to such high ranking positions, the kingdoms broke out into chaos. Some supported their reign while others didn't and attacked our Kingdom. To show their ally ship to the Clover Kingdom, the other kingdoms of the realm agreed to help establish the Ace Kingdom, filled with ideologies and values from all of the four other kingdoms, to represent a sense of unity among the war.

This melting pot of a kingdom was to represent newfound peace and helped to end the years-long battle between Clover, Heart, Spade, and Diamond (which had already improved due to our Wizard King and King's diplomacy work), along with calming down some of the restless citizens opposed to Yuno and Asta's reign.

The Ace Kingdom was established in the neutral territory that formerly separated the four kingdoms. Now it serves as a safe haven for people from all four kingdoms to gather and make an honest living.

The development of the Ace Kingdom was tough and slow moving, but things are finally starting to come together! It's been 15 years since its establishment, and we're happy to report the grimoires are finally ready to be handed out to a new generation of wizards, or rather sorcerers as they're known in the Ace Kingdom.

8 Sorcerer Soldier squads have been established, each with a captain from one of the four kingdoms, appointed by one of the Representatives themselves. Up until now, the squads were composed of a few sorcerers hand selected by each captain.

But now, it's time for the Sorcerer Soldier squad exams, where those who've just obtained their Ace Kingdom grimoires are ready to take up the fight in defending their country! With tensions rising between the realms, it's important for every kingdom to be equipped with strong wizards/sorcerers to take up the fight!

The Ace Kingdom is accepting applicants from any of the four kingdoms. Please contact Military Commander Zora Ideale's office for more info on how to apply! As a former magic knight, he has been assigned to oversee the Ace Kingdom's first Sorcerer Soldier exam.

As always, thank you for reading the Clover Kingdom Times!

Article by Rebecca Scarlet

"Hmph."

A purple haired girl is deep in thought while holding a newspaper. She's seated at a desk in a very fancy looking bedroom, looking quite bothered at the article despite the content of it being good news about Asta's 25 year long reign as the Wizard King and the Ace Kingdom's grimoires finally being ready.

This young girl is Aurora Edelias, one of the many nobles in the Clover Kingdom. Ever since she was young, Aurora wished to become a Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom, alongside her brother, who uses similar magic to her. The two of them were hoping to slowly climb the ranks of the Magic Knights, and eventually wished to rule as Wizard Queen and King together.

However, just the other day, Aurora and her brother were given the unfortunate news that they were being shipped off to the Ace Kingdom to become a part of the first generation of Sorcerer Soldiers to pass the exam. Their parents explained how their talents would greatly benefit the Ace Kingdom in its currently weak state, and how the Clover Kingdom was currently thriving, with less and less Magic Knights needing to be hired each year.

"Ace Kingdom...Zora...this is ridiculous!" She whispers, setting the article down and standing up from her chair.

She hurriedly walks out of the room, storming through the halls. Many servants look on, looking rather nervous and flinching as she passes by.

Aurora at last comes to a door leading outside to a balcony, where her twin brother Atlas is having a discussion with their parents, Redford and Mileena Edelias, two successful politicians who frequently assist the Wizard King in matters pertaining to the Ace Kingdom.

Speaking of Aurora's twin Atlas, it'd probably be beneficial to know what Aurora looks like, which should give you an idea of what Atlas looks like.

Aurora is a very pretty young girl (thanks to her status of a noble allowing her to purchase several cosmetic items). She has skin a little darker than fair, and as aforementioned: she has purple hair (a mauve tone) that she ties into a very neat side ponytail resting on her left shoulder. Her eyes are a darker purple and are framed with long eyelashes. She is a little shorter than most girls her age, but has an overall healthy build.

She wears a combination of nobles women's clothes and the clothing of an adventurer: a loose-fitting elegant black dress made of lace (much to her father's disdain), reaching above her knees. Because the dress is short sleeve and Aurora often finds herself cold due to her magic, she wears a brown cloak with a green gemstone for added warmth and to assist in her magic. She also wears black boots and a fancy purple satchel with the emblem of the Clover Kingdom.

Atlas is incredibly similar to his sister, with the exact same skin and hair color and a similar eye color (his eyes are a lighter purple). However, there are of course differences between the two. His wavy-curly hair is between being short and medium length, and always looks as if he didn't put any effort into styling it (because he usually never does). His bangs rest above his eyes, which bear an incredibly mischievous glint. His teeth are also a little pointed as a result of his magic. He's an average height for a boy his age, and also a nice, healthy build. The strangest thing about Atlas are two red eyes on his right hand, which he never covers.

Atlas wears a fancy black shirt with a white ribbon tie, but with the same brown cloak as his sister over it. He wears black slacks and black dress shoes, but only because his parents insist he at least dress the part of a noble if he isn't going to attempt to physically look like one.

And last but not least, Redford and Mileena are an aging couple (due to their children's shenanigans), who look similar to their children except for the fact that they're much more composed and neat (especially when compared to Atlas). Mileena also has green hair and brown eyes rather than purple and purple.

"Dad, dad, of course I know that this wasn't up to you," Atlas sighed, waving his hand around. "But what I want to know is who was it up to? Maybe if we get in contact with them, they'll change their minds?"

"Yes!" Aurora enthusiastically agreed, stepping onto the balcony to join her brother. "I'm sure that they'd be more than willing to listen to 'The Soul Snatching Twins'." Aurora smirked, putting an arm around Atlas who began to grin.

Redford laughed. "Ah, do you mean the same troublesome duo who've time and time again used their magic against opponents they were told not to go up against?"

"And the same troublesome duo whose magic is currently under investigation for possibly being derived from forbidden magic?" Milena added, shaking her head at her children.

"Look, it's not our fault that we're distantly related to that Rades guy!" Atlas frowned. "We've made our magic our own thing, and have only used it for good. Yes we may have fought bad guys who were a little too strong for us, but we had good intentions!"

"Ahem, we do not speak of your cousin." Redford frowned, rubbing his temples. "He's done nothing but cause our family trouble time and time again...I still despise this new method of magic for giving you two a power similar to his."

Magic has been evolving forever, constantly changing and adapting to the world's current environment. It used to be that you were born with a magic attribute from your mother or your father, plain and simple. Then it became that your magic attribute could be some sort of combination of your mother and your father. Then, it became that your magic attribute could be from your grandparents, aunt, uncle, or even a cousin.

And now, in recent years, people have been born with magic attributes from family members not in their immediate family or direct bloodline. It's fairly rare, but definitely not a completely unnatural occurrence.

Aurora and Atlas are two of these cases. They inherited magic from a distant relative, Rades Spirito, whose magic attribute allowed him to create wraiths out of corpses. Aurora and Atlas' magic doesn't work exactly like his did, but the similarities, especially when it comes to the magic Aurora uses, are uncanny.

The twins work as a team, known as the "Soul Snatching Duo". Their magic works hand in hand, although one can function without the other…

"There is no use arguing, children." Mileena frowned. "We have already signed the necessary paperwork to designate you two as citizens of the Ace Kingdom."

Aurora sighed. "So it really is settled then?" She gave her brother a concerned look.

Redford nodded. "Yes. As of yesterday morning actually, you two now have dual citizenship in the kingdoms of Ace and Clover. This will allow you to obtain your grimoires from the Ace Kingdom and sign up for their Sorcerer Soldier Squad exams."

"Sheesh, that's what they call their exams?" Atlas laughed. "Man, talk about unoriginal! C'mon guys, at least let us get our grimoires from the Clover Kingdom like we always planned to."

"No means no, Atlas." Redford strictly answered. "A grimoire from Clover isn't in your destiny. Believe me, I've consulted Commander Zora and that Vanessa Enoteca girl a number of times to find out what'd be best for you two."

Grimoires are granted to citizens of each kingdom in the realm at a certain age. In both Clover and Ace, the age required to obtain a grimoire is 15 years old, which Atlas and Aurora recently turned. Despite being born in Clover, they're able to get a grimoire from Ace due to the Four Kingdoms act enacted between the kingdoms of the realm, which allows a citizen of a kingdom to obtain a grimoire in the Ace Kingdom so long as they're a citizen of both the Ace Kingdom and the kingdom of their origin. The mana imbued in a mage follows them wherever they go, no matter the kingdom.

"Now you're consulting that witch?!" Aurora gasped. "Father, she's only the Head of Magic Research because she's former squadmates with the Wizard King!"

"That's enough, Aurora." Mileena snapped. "You two need to finish packing your bags. The carriage will be arriving to you pick you up soon, and whatever you don't pack is staying!"

"We know you're frustrated, but this is for the better of the Clover Kingdom and the Ace Kingdom." Reford explained. "You two wish to be the Wizard Queen and King, yes? Well, listening to your parents and the Wizard King is surely a good start on your path."

"Fine." The twins said in unison.

They were incredibly frustrated, but there was nothing more they could do. A carriage from the Ace Kingdom will be arriving later today to pick up Aurora, Atlas, and a number of other Clover Kingdom citizens who'll be obtaining their grimoire from the Ace Kingdom.

The twins bid their parents farewell and made their way inside.

As they walked down the halls, they spoke in a hushed tone.

"This totally sucks!" Atlas complained. "They're deciding everything for us...plus we have that issue."

"Believe me, I know." Aurora nodded, nervously looking at her satchel. "I'm already not strong enough to hold him for more than a day using the mana of Clover, so what's going to happen when we get into the very new environment of mana in Ace?"

"No idea, Rora." Atlas sadly frowned. "Anyways, we should probably let him out, right?"

Aurora nodded once again. "Please, yes. My mana reserves are running incredibly low…"

The two entered Aurora's room.

She set down her bag, pulling out a small red book.

Everyone knows a grimoire holds all of a mage's spells and is completely attuned with their magic and the natural mana of the world. However, certain mages, before obtaining their grimoires, can use special books to channel their magic through in order to help them wield it.

In Aurora's case, her Soul Steal magic is extremely hard to use, and her book is an almost necessary asset.

"Let's do this Aurora!" Atlas cheered. "I'm ready to see our little bro!"

"Same here, I'm worried about him." Aurora admitted. She flipped through her book, coming to a certain page and smiling. "Here he is. Ready, Atlas?"

"Bring it on." Atlas nodded with a smirk.

"Soul Steal Magic: Release Soul, Matsu the Child!" Aurora cast. A bright green light glowed from the book and the gem on her cloak, enveloping the room in the envious color.

While Aurora cast the spell, Atlas ran into Aurora's closet, then returned carrying what looked to be a human-sized doll, but one with absolutely no features whatsoever. It was just a white doll.

From Aurora's book, a small black orb shot out, wandering in the air. Atlas smirked once again, holding both of his hands out.

"Soul Possession Magic: Soul Wander!" Atlas cast. A bright green light shot from his hands onto the orb bringing it to him. Once it reached his hands, it began to glow green rather than black.

"Alright little guy, here goes nothing." Atlas whispered. He then directed his hands at the doll.

"And...Wander!" The orb shot towards the doll, causing it to violently shake and enveloping it in the green light, before…

"Come on, please work." Aurora pleaded.

"This has to work!" Atlas nervously exclaimed.

Slowly, the green light disappeared and the doll slowly started to stop moving.

"Come on, come on, come on!" Aurora whispered, holding her hands together as if to pray.

Finally, the moment Aurora and Atlas were waiting for arrived. The doll started to move on its own, moving its hands and legs around, and tilting its head. And then, the features began to arrive. First the face, hair, and then finally the clothing.

Standing in front of Aurora and Atlas is a very strange looking boy. He has medium length, floppy black hair and a black bandage over his eyes, hiding whatever color they are. It also appears as if he has a burn scar on his right eye, slightly visible due to how it extends from over and under the bandage. His skin is almost as pale as the doll's was, and he wears a black robe with black sandals. He's much shorter than both Aurora and Atlas, and looks rather skinny.

Aurora and Atlas hopefully looked at him, holding their hands to their hearts and waiting for the boy to do something.

Finally, he turned to look at them.

"...Brother? Sister?" He said in an expressionless voice.

"MATSU!" The two of them cheered, immediately running up to him and embracing him.

Matsu did not look phased whatsoever. "I was in the 'book of souls' for quite a while. Is something the matter?"

After hugging him for a few more seconds, the twins pulled away and nervously looked at each other.

"Sorry for that, Matsu." Aurora sadly frowned. "Remember the issue we were telling you about before?"

Matsu tilted his head. "Is it about your parents making the two of you move to that new kingdom?" He questioned.

Atlas nodded. "Exactly. These past few days we've been trying our absolute hardest to get them to change their minds, so we've been around them a lot more."

"Which is why we had to hide you away in the book." Aurora explained.

"I see." Matsu nodded. "And I recall that you mentioned it'd be difficult to keep me in the book while you are living in the Ace Kingdom."

"Yes," Aurora answered. "The mana in the Ace Kingdom is unlike the mana in our kingdom. As such, I'm not used to it yet. I'll need to get acclimated before I can keep such a strong soul like you in my book for so long."

"I understand." Matsu said. "Does that mean you will kill me?"

"NO!" Atlas yelled. "No way! Matsu, we already promised you we'd save your soul! No killing allowed until then, got that?"

"I understand." Matsu said again. "So what will you do?"

And that's when Atlas and Aurora stopped responding. They didn't know what they'd do.

The issue stems from the fact that of course it'd look strange to have a random boy with them. They could let him wander around, but they couldn't risk it due to that thing

Then there's the fact that Aurora won't be able to keep Matsu in her book of souls for a while, until she's used to the mana environment of the Ace Kingdom. Which circles back to the fact that it'd be a problem to have him out of the book!

Once Matsu saw the concerned and thoughtful looks on the twin's faces, he realized they were struggling to come up with something.

"You are struggling to come up with something, yes?" He remarked. The twins nodded. "I see. Well, could I suggest something?"

"Seriously Matsu?" Atlas said, surprised. "Well, sure. Tell us what you got."

"Yeah, we're all ears." Aurora nodded.

"I know you two had me call you brother and sister due to our friendly relationship with each other," Matsu started. "But perhaps I can call you that because we're actually brothers and sister?"

Aurora shook her head. "Sorry Matsu, but it doesn't work like that. You can't just call people your brother and sister and expect people to take you seriously. Especially our parents."

"We wouldn't be telling your parents, of course." Matsu explained. "When the two of you leave this mansion, you will keep me in your 'book of souls'. Then, when we're out of your parents sight, you'll release me."

Atlas realized what Matsu was suggesting. "Matsu...are you seriously up for this?"

Matsu nodded. "Of course I am. I will pretend to be your brother."

"But you look nothing like us!" Aurora sighed. "No one will believe it."

Matsu pointed towards Atlas. "I don't look like you know, but I'm sure big brother (Aurora: He's already calling him 'big brother'?) can help with that."

Atlas gasped. "You'd let me use my magic on you?! Awesome! Yes, I'd love to give you some traits of a deceased Edelias. I'm sure Aurora has a soul from one of them somewhere in that book of hers."

Aurora looked concerned. "I don't know you guys...can we really pull this off? I mean, once we get to the Ace Kingdom, what will we do? Matsu, you know we can't leave you alone."

"I will stay by your sides the entire time." Matsu said. "Because, I will also be joining the Sorcerer Soldiers."

"Wait what?!" Atlas said, his smile dropping. "I didn't know you were thinking of that!"

"There's no way that can happen, Matsu!" Aurora frowned. "You have to be 15 to take the exams and get your grimoire. Without those two requirements, you won't be allowed to join the Sorcerer Soldiers."

"That is right…" Matsu realized, scratching his hair in thought. "Ah, but wait. We already have the advantage of you two being twins...what if we just add another member to your twinship?"

"Are you saying you'll pretend to be our triplet brother?" Atlas asked. "Because I'm so down for that."

"Matsu, you look like a little kid." Aurora sighed. "I don't know anyone who'd believe you're our age."

"Again, big brother can take care of that with his magic." Matsu answered.

"I don't know about this…" Aurora bit her lip. "It's way too risky."

"Live a little, Rora!" Atlas smiled. "Look, if we're going to be forced into immigrating to Ace, then we might as well do something exciting with the fact that nobody will know who we are! Come on, it'll be so much fun having Matsu around instead of him just being in the book or being locked up in our rooms."

"Please, big sister?" Matsu asked.

Aurora frowned, groaning. "...Fine! But if this doesn't work, I'm blaming you two!"

"Then it's settled...Matsu the Child, you're now Matsu Edelias!" Atlas cheered.

Matsu didn't smile, but he looked happy. "Yay."

"Alright then, we should probably begin this transformation right now." Aurora said, pulling out her book once again.

"Come on sis, find a dead family member who kinda looks like us." Atlas encouraged with a smile.

Aurora rolled her eyes, but began flipping through her pages. This time it took her a little longer, but she finally stopped.

"Alright then. Here goes nothing…"

One Fateful Day (Part 1)

2/17 Update

Holy crap you guys! I've been getting OCs like crazy from you all! So much so that I had to make this update.

Please note: we're getting real down to the wire when it comes to OCs in the main three squads. That means only a few more OCs will be accepted into them before I close submissions for them. This also means that I'm going to be real picky, so I'm sorry if you're OC isn't chosen! This ALSO means that if you make a mains squad OC, you won't be able to choose which one, as I need to make sure we have an even number. So I will be choosing myself! This does not apply for Supporting Squad OCs. If you've submitted an OC to me but I haven't sent you an acceptance message, consider remaking your OC to fit one of the supporting squads.

HOWEVER, the supporting squads still need OCs! Even though supporting squads won't be the main focus, OCs in those squads will still be making appearances, and will sometimes even be a main focus. Please give all of our supporting squads some love!

ADDITIONALLY, villains are now being accepted! I need villains for minor arcs and also villains that will be apart of the main antagonistic group. If you want to create an OC for the latter, PLEASE message me first.

AND LASTLYYY, the remaining squad spot has been filled! Thank you to all who submitted to me, I'm sorry I could only choose one! That means the captain form is now closed.

Alright that's all, keep making those OCs and asking me any questions :) Remember to check out the OC-making rules below!

A/N: Woo-hoo! The first chapter of Ace Kingdom is done! What did you guys think?

As you can tell this is an SYOC, based around Black Clover. However, it takes place after the series in a brand new kingdom called the Ace Kingdom.

Now, I need a TON of characters for this story! This includes Sorcerer Soldiers, antagonists, and so much more! Right now, I'm only focusing on Sorcerer Soldiers though. You can find the information on all of the squads down below, along with the forms.

BUT FIRST! Some rules!

-PM ME YOUR OCS! No review OCs will be considered. C'mon guys, it spoils stuff!

-Please title your PMs as: Ace Kingdom OC - 'OC Name'

-When creating your OCs outfit, please account for the fact that they'll be wearing their squad's robe.

-THIS IS NOT CANON! This is the product of my own mind. Some things aren't exactly like what's in the manga, but that's ok, because this is a FanFiction. Please, please, please, don't comment on something that it's in here that's not in the manga, or vice versa. I'll let you all know right know I haven't began the Spade Arc, so please don't spoil anything for me.

-When creating your character, please follow the basic rules of OC-making. Don't make them a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Everyone in Black Clover has their flaws, and not everyone is the strongest mage.

-With that being said, also make sure they fit the Black Clover universe. Yes, this isn't canon, but your OCs back story should still relatively follow Black Clover. Don't make their backstory or magic super ridiculous.

-HAVE FUN AND ASK QUESTIONS! This is something fun you guys, so let's treat it as such! :) I know there's a lot of things different from Black Clover, so ask ANY questions you need to! I'll work with you to make sure your character fits the story universe.

-Sagi Kotai (Captain) , 51 years old | Steel Magic

Tyrian Dragons: A squad led by a foreigner of the realm who is an excitable and eccentric young man from the "Holy Realm of Dragons". Ziga tries to recruit those with a very strong fighting spirit and a willingness to die for their country, as his squad often takes on many high stakes missions involving strong magical beasts and such. Their motto is "Die a Hero".

-Ziga Bethesda (Captain) , ? years old | Dragon Breath Magic

Amber Owls: Taking after the Captain's own interests, the Amber Owls are a squad dedicated to the accumulation of knowledge, particularly the study of grimoires and magic tools. It is common for them to be sent on missions to explore dungeons and Grand Magic Zones to study them and uncover the secrets and treasures hidden within. They also might be called on to investigate reports of strange magical phenomena or curses. The squad tends to welcome members with a more intellectual mindset, it values those with a sense of curiosity, a desire for discovery, and a creative approach to problem solving.

-Galileo Nebulae (Captain) , 39 years old | Cosmos Magic

(One squad spot is available for anyone who wishes to make their own squad!)
