Chapter 1155

Pacific Electric

Cammy and Dan checked the freezer. The interior was warm inside now from the lights being on and the door remaining closed without any refrigeration or ventilation for a week.

There was no other access to the freezer from the rear side. Neither of the side walls or the rear wall had been breached. The ceiling was intact as well. The surveillance they'd set up had been able to watch the freezer door the entire time.

They were unable to find any additional information.

"There's nothing here." Cammy said. "I don't see anything different anywhere."

Cammy and Dan walked out. Cammy closed the freezer door.

Savannah would have liked to have received some additional information. There was none forthcoming.

"Other than those two homeless men, nothing appears to have happened in here." Savannah said.

Cammy only spotted the used beds upstairs.

"Apparently not…." Cammy said. "It looks like they only slept here."

It left a nagging question for Savannah. It was one thing for some homeless individuals to seek shelter in what appeared to be an abandoned building. It was another thing for them to be inside of the building through a rather roundabout means to avoid detection.

"How did they know to avoid the security?" Savannah asked.

Cammy wondered that herself. She offered an easy explanation. She actually believed there may be a deeper underlying issue involved.

"I believe they were coached and given specific instructions on how to enter the structure." Cammy said.

Cammy's answer didn't really answer Savannah's question. How did whoever coached them know what to do? Did they know there was security set up inside to surveil the building? Were the two homeless men sent in as patsies to see who came to terminate them?

Dan wasn't sure exactly what happened but he'd witnessed other homeless individuals previously on some of his stakeouts or recons. He'd watched various homeless people probe buildings and vehicles before. They were always on the lookout for anything that they could acquire. Usually the method was theft.

"They may have spotted some surveillance equipment with their unconventional entry into the compound. They could have watched the 'clean up' from some other area around there." Dan said. "They're vagrants and drift from place to place. They'll most likely end up as Scavengers. Frank should terminate them."

Savannah wondered where the men were now and what they'd done so far. She was sure there was more to the story.

"What's the status of Frank tracking the men?" Savannah asked.

Cammy was updated by John Henry. She didn't have a positive outlook for the men. She tended to agree with Dan's earlier assessment.

"They're currently at a homeless encampment." Cammy said. "Their actions will determine their fate. They'll most likely need to be terminated. I think we should tie up any loose ends. "

Savannah knew it might be necessary at some point. She didn't think it was to that point yet. If they were truly homeless, It shouldn't be a death sentence. She was aware most homeless people chose the lifestyle on their own. There were plenty of options open for them to live in shelters or seek some type of assisted living arrangements. If they were something else, then it was. Her immediate concern was the location they were at. It was possible there were more hidden things they hadn't found yet.

"We can take one more look around here and make sure there are no more drainage openings." Savannah said. "There may be debris covering some of them that we haven't located yet."

Cammy felt she'd done that and more. Her main concern was another sniper attack.

"I already checked for any snipers across the street." Cammy said. "I didn't spot any. Nothing else looked out of place. Just because I didn't spot anything visually, doesn't mean there's not something there."

Savannah didn't think Cammy's statement was very promising. It was possible there was some type of remote surveillance set up. It could be the same as the Resistance team had done inside of the port facility.

Dan wanted to seal off the electrical room to prevent further entry in the manner the homeless men used. There was always the chance there may have been more of them that weren't there at this time. There could be others who went off to see what they could steal from the surrounding area.

"I'll block the electrical room door from the outside." Dan said. "There are parts off several vehicles here I can use from the wrecked cars we moved inside."

Savannah wondered if he would carry them out by hand or use a forklift.

"If you use the forklift to move anything, make sure it's disabled afterwards so no one can easily start it and move anything away." Savannah said.

Cammy and Savannah checked the inside of the building and Dan checked the outside area.

Dan was about to carry an engine block outside to place in front of the electrical room door. Savannah asked him to use the forklift but he said it was no problem. He picked the engine up and headed outside with it.

Cammy opened the engine compartment and pulled the coil wire loose on the forklift. She left it draped over the distributor cap. It appeared it was still in place. The forklift wouldn't start unless the coil wire was pushed all the way into the distributor cap.

Dan returned a minute later. They exited the building. Cammy and Dan bent the metal together that blocked the entrance into the building. Someone would need tools or a Terminator to get back in that way.

Savannah took one last look around the area.

"I think we're done here." Savannah said.

Cammy was aware there were others headed to the port to get on the cruise ship. They should arrive in a very short time.

"We can go back to the Cruise Terminal and see the new arrivals off." Cammy said.

It didn't seem like a good idea to Savannah to go back there. She would have preferred if John and Cameron would have gone alone. She understood the ship was very large and it was basically John's family that would be there with him. It wasn't like a line up the girls going right now. She didn't know if that would change or not but it seemed most likely at this point. She let out a slow breath.

"I don't know." Savannah said.

Savannah didn't want to go back and feel pressured to go along. It was bound to happen if she showed back up there. She would still share her herself with John, it wasn't going to be on this trip or at this time. She didn't know how to make it any clearer. She wanted things to be specifically about John and Cameron. She wanted their bond to be closer and stronger. Her biggest worry was that Cameron would be the one to get sidetracked if she entered the mix and it became the three of them. She was sure that Cameron would focus on her exclusively. She also believed Cameron would become very possessive of her. It really wasn't anything she wanted to think about right now. She hoped to have her relationship with Young Allison established before the 'Natural Order' actually came into being.

Earlier:

Cameron took John on a tour of the ship. She would've liked to stay a little longer in the bedroom but John wouldn't have been able to perform very well in his current condition. She wanted to show him what the biggest single entity on the ship was. She wanted to make a grand entrance that would give him the best overall view of everything.

"This is the main theater." Cameron said. "Let's take a look inside."

John followed Cameron into the main theater. He was immediately impressed with its size.

"Wow!" John said. "This place is big."

Cameron was aware it took up more space than it looked like. Not everything was visible from their current location.

"It is." Cameron said. "It takes up three decks of the ship. It also goes from side to side of the ship. "

That fact alone seemed impressive to John. He'd read a lot of activities went on in the main theater.

"I know they show movies in here and have live performances." John said. "I know there are lectures, demonstrations and games too."

Cameron was aware of a variety of other functions that occurred in there as well.

"They do both and more." Cameron said. "There's a smaller theater on this same deck at the rear of the ship. They call it a lounge but it is really a small theater. It is over the main dining room. They do the same things there on a much smaller scale. There are also several other large lounges amidships too. They'll often have entertainers performing in them at various times of the day and night."

They moved into the center of the theater.

"I like the view from here." John said as he looked around. "Where's our private box?"

Cameron needed to point for John to see it.

"It's off to the side where the ceiling dips down and narrows." Cameron said.

From the side and back John didn't notice it until Cameron pointed it out.

"I see it." John said. "It's well hidden."

Cameron wanted to tell John that was the whole point. There was a certain amount of anonymity involved with it. She could see that John wondered how to get there. He didn't ask.

"We have to go out of the main theater to get to it." Cameron said. "It's through a semi-private entrance. Most people won't know what it is if they pass it."

Cameron led John back out of the main theater and down one floor.

John was surprised to see there were more rooms for passengers below.

"There are cabins down here?" John asked.

Cameron thought the cabins were very compact compared to their giant suite.

"Yes and there are more one deck below this one too. They only have a window." Cameron said. "They're considered 'Ocean-view' cabins. There are no balconies this low. The crew's quarters are one deck below that."

The door to one cabin opened and a couple walked out. John looked inside before the door closed. The couple walked away. He was somewhat shocked at how small it looked. He'd read about some of the complaints from people who thought their room was too small. None of them wanted to spend the extra money to get a larger suite. He really didn't think they had a legitimate complaint. They booked their room by choice.

"That cabin is really small." John said. "It is just two beds, a small table and a tiny bathroom."

Cameron felt a room that size in the future would be seen as a luxury. On the ship it wasn't. She believed everything was a matter of perspective. It also mattered as to the time period.

"That's the normal cabin size, even for most balcony cabins." Cameron said. "The room size and layout are all the same. It is only the suites that have size variations."

John thought about the size of their suite with its living room, large bedroom, big walk in closet, dressing room, giant bathroom and spare bedroom with its own large bathroom. He still couldn't get over how small the bathroom was compared to theirs.

"The bathroom in our suite is bigger than that entire cabin." John said.

Cameron was pleased CamNet was in control of the cruise line.

"I'm glad we know the owners." Cameron said.

Cameron stopped at a door in the side of the hallway. She took a quick look around. The door was marked with a giant gold star on it. She took out her card key and opened the door.

John was a little anxious to see exactly what was inside.

"Is this our private box?" John asked.

Cameron thought of making a comment about her 'private box' but didn't.

"It leads to it." Cameron said.

Cameron passed two more doors in the small hallway. She reached a door at the end of the hallway.

"We're here." Cameron said.

Cameron used her card key and opened the door.

John was impressed with what he saw.

"Wow!" John said as he entered the small room. "This is our private box?"

"Yes." Cameron said.

John looked out at the stage.

"The view is fantastic." John said.

Cameron felt it gave them good isolation. It would keep them away from the bulk of passengers going to and from any of the shows.

"We can watch the live shows from here." Cameron said.

John liked what he saw.

"It's impressive." John said.

Cameron realized that their view was a downward view and more than a little off to the side. She wondered if John might want a big screen atmosphere.

"If you want to see a movie when they show one, we can sit in the main theater seating." Cameron said. "That's if you want a center seat."

She was going to point out they could also watch any of the movies or performances from their suite on their giant TV screen. It was almost like a mini movie theater anyway. She wanted John to watch the live performance on the stage at least one time. She believed it was more impressive than anything that could be viewed on a television. The sound would also be much better at the actual live performance.

John felt a little apprehension with Cameron's reminder about a movie theater. He hadn't been inside a movie theater since the episode where Sarah was arrested. He didn't want to think about it and especially what followed. It made him quickly look at Cameron's face.

"That's fine." John said.

Cameron caught John's apprehension. Maybe it was better to give him all the options now. She didn't want to cause him any unnecessary worry.

"We can watch any movie in our suite too." Cameron said. "It includes any 'adult material'. CamNet will provide us with any movie you want. We won't be limited to what's normally available on the ship."

John thought about it. They could watch some skin flicks and emulate what they watched. There were also a couple of movies that he liked to watch over and over. He would like to see them on a much larger screen than what he normally viewed them on. He wasn't so sure that Cameron would enjoy them as much as he did.

John glanced quickly at Cameron.

Cameron hoped John wouldn't pick the scenes from his favorite movie again. She seriously considered age regression to best suit John's desires. There was always one obstacle that would pop up in her mind when she considered doing it. She saw the trauma it caused Anna and decided not to initiate the procedure at this time. It still might not hurt to knock off a couple of years of her age. She wanted to be able to compete with Savannah and Young Allison for John's affection once the 'Natural Order' was established.

She was aware that they would be able to perform on an emotional level much deeper than she could ever hope to achieve. She on the other hand could perform at a much better physical level than they could. She never got tired. She never needed to rest. She could service all three of them over and over.

John was ready to see a little more of the ship.

"Everything's been fantastic so far." John said.

Cameron led him out of the private box and back into the main hallway. They headed for the front stairway.

"Where are we going next?" John asked.

Cameron ran a calculation on the time and when the rest of the group would show up once she was given their position report. They should very near the port at this point in time. She thought John would like to see them arrive.

"We can go up to the top deck." Cameron said. "We should be able to see the rest of the group arrive. It won't be that long."

It sounded like a good idea to John.

"When will they be here?" John asked.

Cameron decided to get an exact time.

"I need to check my phone." Cameron said.

John saw Cameron didn't make a move to do it. She hesitated. He was sure of the reason why. He didn't like to see Cameron in discomfort. It all seemed to go back to her earlier commitment not to follow resistance operations while he was awake. She'd previously stated she would only do it while he was asleep.

"It's fine, Cameron." John said. "You can wear your com and check your phone anytime. I know you need to stay in touch, even if you don't participate."

Cameron wanted to focus on John. She didn't want to get caught up in a tangent. Sometimes things happened that would bother her. She knew that Savannah was out there and would carry the torch with Cammy in her absence. She needed to worry about past operations as well. She also needed to honor her earlier commitment.

"I don't want to take away from our time together." Cameron said.

They climbed up seven decks using the stairway. John looked a little tired when they reached the top.

Cameron didn't want John to over exert himself. She didn't want to tire him out needlessly. If she was going to tire him out, she wanted it to be in the bedroom.

"We can take the elevator." Cameron said. "There are other ways for you to burn calories as well as the stairway."

Cameron flashed John a quick smile.

It was obvious to John that he'd slacked off a little on his PT. He did like the inference of Cameron's statement. It seemed like a much more pleasurable way to burn calories. Then again, Cameron usually did most of the work. He didn't want to make a big deal about it.

"I'm good." John said. "I'm not used to this many stairs all at one time. It will help get me in shape."

Cameron wanted John to be virile when they made love. If he ended up tired out, he was tired out. His body would still need a certain amount of time to recover. It already needed enough time to recover between sexual encounters. She didn't want to delay the process any further.

"I don't want our 'little friend' to get tired out when you do." Cameron said.

John didn't think that would be a problem. The specific actions may be related in general but weren't related in specificity.

"I think it's on a different circuit." John said.

Cameron saw there could be a spontaneous reaction at times.

"I know sometimes our 'little friend' seems to have a mind of his own." Cameron said.

John wasn't sure if she specifically referred to his earlier 'reaction' when he saw Sheila or something else. It seemed it could be triggered by physical, visual, mental or audio stimulation.

"It happens." John said.

They climbed the stairs until there were no more. The exited the stairwell onto the upper deck.

"This is the top deck." Cameron said. "There are several other partial higher levels and small areas."

Cameron pointed to a few areas in front and in back of them.

One of the locations caught John's attention. He'd read some online reports about it.

"Is that where the miniature golf area is?" John asked.

Cameron would make sure Bob cleared the small course for them. When they went to play, he could simply put up a sign that indicated there was a 'private function' about to take place.

"It's one of the areas." Cameron said. "We can play later on."

John was aware one of the other locations was the nude sunbathing section. Cameron didn't mention it so he didn't either, there was no need to rock the boat. He didn't want to rub Cameron the wrong way. He was sure she would bring it up again at a later point in time.

Cameron checked her phone. She was actually surprised where they currently were at.

"They're on the big green bridge right now." Cameron said.

She looked up at the bridge but didn't spot them. They'd already traversed the bridge going eastbound and were now on the westbound side. She couldn't spot them because they were on the far side of the bridge and headed back to the Cruise Terminal.

John looked up at the bridge. He was still impressed with its size. It totally dominated everything around the port including the large bridge a little further to the east near Long Beach.

"It's a big bridge." John said.

Cameron almost told him it was the same size as it was before but thought it might upset him. She thought everything was a matter of perspective. She knew they would arrive shortly near the VIP entrance. She wanted to get a better vantage point to be able to view everything.

"We can head to the back of the ship and watch them arrive." Cameron said.

With four more Resistance members on board and at the ports, it made John wonder about security. He was aware that Gail and Holly were originally there to provide additional security for him. There would be four other Resistance members. Cameron wanted to divide Holly and Gail between the other two couples. It seemed like pretty light coverage to him, even though he didn't anticipate a problem.

"Do you feel comfortable with just Holly and Gail for security for them?" John asked. "There are four more people to worry about."

Cameron wanted more female Terminators on board the ship. It was a good excuse to make it happen. The extra protection would be good too. She decided to play it cool for now. She was sure that someone else would 'make' the extra Terminators on the ship happen. She just hoped they would all be female Terminators.

"No, I don't feel comfortable with minimal coverage." Cameron said. "I would feel better with more help. Once we're at sea there won't be much the other Terminators will need to do. It would only really matter when we are in port. It depends upon how many people want to get off of the ship."

John thought some of the Terminators could take it easy and get away from it all for a few days. He really didn't see any reason why others couldn't have time off as well.

"Can't they have a good time too?" John asked. "I'd like for them to be able to do that."

Cameron knew there was gambling on board. She was afraid the Terminators would clean out the casino in no time. It was one reason why Sheila was part of the 'crew' and not a 'passenger'. She always seemed to find a way to make a point to win big. It was excessive action in Las Vegas that brought the Syndicate down on them. The entire situation set into motion an additional series of events that didn't need to happen. Then again, they were currently on the cruise ship because of the follow up action to punish the Syndicate and the Cartel.

She also worried about taking away Terminators from some of the girls at the base. She'd already snagged two of them from Jesse and Allison. All of the human girls would be left high and dry in short order.

"I don't know, John." Cameron said. "It would take Hanna and Cam away from Claire and Vanna."

John didn't see that as a problem. It was only for a few days. There were times where he'd needed to go much longer than a few days during Cameron's many absences. Maybe enough fancy dresses would be a problem. It seemed there were still a few other options as well.

"Do you have enough clothes on board for them?" John asked. "Isn't Ally with them?"

Cameron decided Ally was a better choice than Cam. They would look like sisters instead of twins. It didn't matter if their sheaths were identical or not. Ally seldom ever fixed herself up. She hardly ever looked Tight. Obtaining supplies or clothing wouldn't be a problem for any of the new arrivals on the ship.

"She is. I can have the onboard stores deliver whatever we want or need." Cameron said.

John wanted to give Cameron plenty of leeway. He didn't want to pressure her to do anything, nor did he want to constrict her. He was aware it would cause Cameron more grief and problems in the long run if she felt they didn't have adequate Terminator protection when they were off the ship in a port. He wanted everyone to be able to move about the port area freely whenever the ship was docked. If it meant one Terminator per person, then that's what it meant.

"If you feel they're needed, and it makes you feel more comfortable, you can do what you think is best." John said. "I don't have a problem with it."

Cameron saw a message from CamNet telling her Young Allison thought the same thing she did about additional Terminators. It was more positive reinforcement. It also didn't come directly from her if it became an issue later on with anyone. Right now both John and Young Allison were on board with the idea of more Terminators for the cruise.

"I'll take care of it." Cameron said.

John looked around as they walked. He could look down at the pool area one deck below them. He tried to compare it to the view earlier when they were actually on the pool deck. He didn't want to spend too much time focusing on any of the individuals that were gathered around the pool currently.

"There is an excellent view of the pool deck from this level." John said.

Cameron wanted to tell John he would have a better view of the bikini clad girls from the counter seats that faced the pool in back of the pizza and burger serving areas. She decided to not cause a problem and remained silent. She was sure he would find that out soon enough. She hoped it would give John added motivation and incentive to want to be with her more often.

She wanted to give John some options.

"You can always bring your pizza or hamburger up to this area." Cameron said. "Once we are out at sea, the view of the ocean is spectacular from this level too."

On the level they were on, there was only a railing around the side so the view was unrestricted. The deck was also subject to the wind much more. It was more evident when the ship was underway.

Cameron led them past the unopened nude sunbathing area and toward the rear of the ship.

John looked at the sign on the gate that said 'Adults Only' as they passed. Cameron didn't.

They reached the side and looked over.

John was surprised to see what looked like an 'old time' electric streetcar pass by in the near distance. It ran along the western perimeter of the Cruise Terminal.

"I see a streetcar." John said. "I can't read what it says on the side of it."

Cameron zoomed in and looked at the lettering.

"It says 'Pacific Electric'." Cameron said.

John wondered if the name held a double meaning in some way based on their location.

"It seems appropriately named." John said. "It must be a tourist attraction."

Cameron knew it was more than that. At least the roots of it were.

"What you see now is a tourist attraction." Cameron said. "The 'Pacific Electric' was once the biggest street car and interurban rail systems in the country or the world for that matter. It once possessed over a thousand miles of track."

John thought it sounded impressive. He figured Kyle would know more about it than he did. He didn't know as much about aircraft as Derek or railroads as Kyle did.

"I didn't know that." John said.

Cameron saw it as newer machines replacing older machines. Cameron was aware there were several different electric railway companies in the Los Angeles area from the turn of the last century until the early Sixties. There was a narrow gauge municipal system affectionately known as the 'Yellow Cars'. The standard gauge system of the Pacific Electric was affectionately known as the 'Red Cars'.

"The 'Red Cars' died a slow death like many of the electric passenger systems did." Cameron said. "The automobile became king in the vast expanses of the greater Los Angeles area."

Cameron saw no need to bring up the conspiracy theory on how the Pacific Electric was brought down by the Fitzgerald brothers, Standard Oil, General Motors and Firestone Tire Company. It was conducted like a Skynet operation. It started out slow and once it's claws were sunk in, there was no letting go until the prey was terminated. There was more money to be made by replacing a fleet of electric streetcars that could last many decades with a fleet of motor vehicles that would need to be replaced with extreme frequency, use a lot more fuel and need tires. The pollution that was added to the atmosphere was never considered as a factor. It was a money making scheme that benefited a few individuals at a great cost to the taxpayers and the environment.

John decided to look 'Pacific Electric' up on the internet when he was able to get some free time. He knew it was something that everyone could do to learn more about the subject. It wouldn't take very long.

Cameron stopped and looked over the railing.

"Do you see them?" John asked.

Cameron carefully checked everything out around them.

"Not yet." Cameron said.

Cam's SUV exited off the big green bridge and came around the corner of the turnoff.

The streetcar passed in front of them on the other side of the street.

Kyle immediately sat up and looked forward in his seat.

"Look! There is an old streetcar." Kyle said. "I didn't expect to see it here."

Derek spotted the name on the side.

"It says 'Pacific Electric' on it." Derek said.

Kyle became acquainted with streetcars recently. His original interest was in main line railroads in the form of freight trains and passenger trains before the Amtrak era. He'd been to a few rail museums in the area, most of them were relatively small. There was one that was originally dedicated to electric locomotives and streetcars. They'd also expanded into various types of other railroad equipment as well. It included steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, cabooses, work train equipment and passenger cars.

"When we went to see the air museum in Chino, we stopped by the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris and saw all the old railroad equipment there." Kyle said. "We saw some vintage 'Pacific Electric' cars there and from some other defunct electric rail lines."

Derek remembered the railway museum. The names hadn't stuck in his head.

Riley felt left out. It seemed like there were a lot of things that she'd missed out on.

"I never went to either of those places." Riley said. "I don't get out much."

Derek looked at Riley. That made him feel bad inside. He was glad they were about to change that for Riley. He hoped her ability to go on the cruise ship would ease her mind somewhat.

"We're going to fix that in about five minutes." Derek said.

The massive ship loomed up in front of them.

Riley's eyes widened as she took in the view of the giant cruise ship from ground level. It was directly in front of them now. It's size was massive. Even tied up to the dock it radiated elegance and beauty.

"Oh my, that's a big one." Riley said.

Sarah was impressed at its size. She thought it looked big as she looked down on it from the Vincent Thomas Bridge. Now that it was directly in front of them, it put everything into perspective.

"The ship looks very big from this angle." Sarah said.

Ally saw it a little differently.

"It's a big machine." Ally said. "We're smaller machines."

There was a lot of vehicle traffic that was headed for the parking lot at the Cruise Terminal. They wouldn't be intermixing with it. It looked like a good thing at this point.

Cam drove into the loading area.

"I see the VIP entrance." Hanna said.

Riley spotted Bob and pointed.

"Look, there's Bob." Riley said. "He looks very official in his white uniform."

Sarah touched her weapons. She was assured they would pass through everything without any problems.

"He'll get us through security without a hitch." Sarah said.

Derek touched his weapons.

"We're all packing heat." Derek said. "He'd better."

Riley looked at Ally, Cam and Hanna.

"Are any of you going to go with us for increased protection?" Riley asked the Metal girls.

Cam felt somewhat alarmed with that question. The original idea was to have Ally and Hanna go on board with the Reese clan. Cameron changed the plan before they left the base. Everyone was still in place if they were needed.

"It isn't the current idea." Cam said. "Do you feel the need for additional security?"

Ally pointed out the obvious.

"You have Holly and Gail already." Ally said. "Cam and I both look like Cameron."

Hanna wanted to go. She wanted to make sure she was on the ship if Claire would join the voyage at another port. The situation wasn't resolved yet as to exactly what would happen but she was pretty sure that it would at some point. She really wanted to be on the ship with Claire. She didn't see any reason why she couldn't go now.

"I look different." Hanna said.

Riley looked at Ally and Hanna. She knew who both of them were specifically patterned after. Visually they looked like their DNA donors right down to the way that they dressed and acted and fixed themselves up or didn't.

"If Vanna and Allison come onboard you two can always be twins with them." Riley said.

Ally didn't think four of 'Allison' would be a smart idea.

"That really leaves Cam and me out then." Ally said.

Cam stopped the SUV at the VIP gate and everyone got out. They all took their carry on luggage.

Ally immediately looked over the area as she exited the SUV. She looked for any potential threats or irregularities. She also glanced at the ship and took in its size. Her eyes wandered upward until she looked at one of the upper decks. She was a little surprised at what she spotted.

"Look, there's Cameron and John." Ally said.

Sarah looked around on the dock. He didn't see them anywhere.

"Where are they?" Sarah asked.

Ally nodded her head but didn't point. She didn't want to make it obvious that she'd identified anyone.

"They're up on the top deck near the rear." Ally said.

Riley was about to wave at them. Derek saw her and stopped her.

"Don't wave." Derek said. "We don't want to clue anyone in. We want to seem unassociated until we know exactly what the situation on board will be."

Riley didn't want to be responsible for creating a problem. It was just a natural reaction on her part. She was normally at the base and everything was pretty much cut and dried there.

"I'm sorry." Riley said. "I don't get out much."

Sarah was more worried about the security machines they would need to pass through. She didn't like going through checkpoints of any type. If anyone was on the lookout for them, it was the obvious choke point in which to take them down. They would have the least amount of room to maneuver and could easily be surrounded. She didn't think that would be the case under the current conditions with Bob there as head of security. It was still a gut feeling that was hard for her to shake.

"Don't worry. " Sarah said. "Going through security gives me the creeps."

Cam wanted to reassure all of them. The Resistance team had control of the ship for all practical purposes.

"Bob will make it all happen." Cam said. "CamNet is in control."

The group of four headed for the gate. They approached Bob.

Bob needed to play it cool. He didn't acknowledge that he knew any of them directly as they approached. He decided to play it low key.

"I've been waiting for you." Bob said quietly.

Bob took them up the ramp, through security and the metal detector. Everyone and everything passed with no problems.

Another figure in a different type of uniform approached the security area.

"This is your room steward." Bob said.

Jim stood in back of the metal detector a few feet away as he waited for them.

"Hello, I'll show you to your suites." Jim said.

The five of them boarded the elevator and headed up.

Sarah didn't know really what to expect but the fact that they were on the giant ship now seemed to cause her a lot of exhilaration.

"I'm starting to get excited." Sarah said.

Riley looked at Sarah and smiled. She'd been excited as soon as she decided she was going to go on the cruise. Everything leading up to now only seemed to increase the level.

"I already am." Riley said.

Jim thought they all wanted to get down to business.

"Your suites are ready." Jim said. "I will show you the bedroom section first."

Derek noticed the misinterpretation on Jim's part.

"They're talking about a different kind of excitement." Derek said. "It's similar but it's different in various aspects."

Kyle liked Jim's idea. He was excited on about four different levels already and they were still in the elevator.

"The other kind isn't bad either." Kyle said.

His statement brought a round of laughter.

The elevator reached the deck their suites were on.

"Follow me." Jim said.

Earlier:

Cameron spotted the SUV.

"I see them." Cameron said. "Don't wave."

John was glad Cameron reminded him. It was a natural reaction.

"Thanks, I probably would have." John said.

Cameron noticed that Ally spotted them right away. Riley looked up towards them. It appeared she was about to wave before she was admonished not to. The others in the group stole a quick glance but didn't look directly.

"They see us." Cameron said. "I want to make sure they get through security OK."

John watched Bob walk out in his white uniform and greet them at the gate.

"It looks like Bob has everything under control." John said.

Cameron looked at Hanna and Ally. She wanted them to come on board but she didn't say anything. It didn't seem anyone made a firm decision yet other than her as to who else should come on board.

"Yes." Cameron said.

John wanted to go back to their suite. He hoped to meet them in the private area as they were shown their suites. He really wanted to see their reaction to the giant rooms. None of them were in Las Vegas when they had the entire top floor of the one wing of the casino hotel. They controlled three large suites there.

"Let's go down and meet them." John said.

Cameron took one quick glance back at Ally and Hanna. They hadn't entered the security zone. She frowned slightly. She wanted to do what John wanted.

"OK." Cameron said.

John could tell Cameron was uneasy. It bothered him more than a little bit. He wasn't sure what seemed to bring her down. He debated whether to say anything or not. There was a better than even chance it would only upset her further if he asked. He still felt the need to ask anyway.

"What's wrong?" John asked.

Cameron was about to look back at the dock one more time. She didn't.

"Nothing's wrong." Cameron said. "Everything is fine."

John could see Cameron looked worried now. He could tell she wanted more protection for his family.

"Do you want to have more Terminators on the ship with the Reese family on board?" John asked. "I don't think it's a bad thing if you do. There seems to be plenty of rooms for everyone. I don't think clothes will be a problem for anyone either."

It was what Cameron wanted. It would give her more chassis to have John 'break in' with her program or chip in their chassis. She didn't want it to seem like it was her idea, especially for what she planned for John and herself. She decided to play it cool.

"I don't know." Cameron said.

John didn't have a clue of what Cameron planned. He didn't think it would be a problem especially since there were at least two more Metal girls there who could accompany them.

"You call Claire to ask her if Hanna can stay." John said. "Cam or Ally can stay too. I can make the call myself if you want me to or you can tell them the General requested the additional assistance."

Cameron smiled. She thought it was much better than she'd planned.

"Are you sure you don't mind?" Cameron asked. "I wasn't expecting four more people."

John knew Cameron was worried about everyone's safety.

Cameron quickly called Claire and asked for her permission to 'borrow' Hanna. She wanted Cam to assist Vanna if necessary. It left Claire, Allison and Jesse without their Metal girlfriends.

Claire asked Cameron if Vanna and Cam were going to watch Precious, what Samantha was going to do with her extra free time.

Cameron said she would look into it. She knew what Claire really asked her for. Claire wanted to be with Samantha if Hanna was away. She hadn't wanted Samantha to become active yet. Samantha was almost Resequenced to Claire's appearance anyway. Her face still needed a few more days. By the time the cruise was over, Samantha would be identical to Claire.

John saw the SUV start to pull away and then stop abruptly. Hanna and Ally hopped out of it and started to walk toward the VIP gate. John noted they both wore sun hats and sunglasses now. They'd come with their disguises. He looked over at Cameron.

Cameron smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"It never hurts to be prepared." Cameron said.

John was sure he'd just been played.

There was a shrill whistle sound. John looked over past the dock and parking lot. He saw the 'Pacific Electric' streetcar return. It was a reminder to him that all things weren't as they seemed even if one looked directly at them.

Everything's Good Now

I was alone
So very lost
I needed someone
No matter the cost

For what I reached
Was beyond my grasp
Into your clutches
Your charms soon clasp

I wanted more
Than you had to give
Was it so wrong
To want to live

I never let up
You soon wanted more
I slowly pried open
Your heart's closed door

We wanted each other
Our love we did avow
For once for both of us
Everything's good now

Nobody
