"Not again!" Ivy cried out, being spiked off the stage in the fighting game she, Blitz and Aquari were playing. Eli had elected to simply watch.

"You're sooo predictable." Aquari taunted, before promptly being launched off the screen. A pillar of energy and confetti emanating from her death.

"And you're too cocky." Blitz smirked.

"Hey! I get the right to be cocky when I can kill you at 30%!"

"You three are so loud." Rose stated, walking out of the back room with the shorter Lexia in tow. "I could hear you guys from all the way in the back."

"Huh?"

"GAME!"

"Wha- Aquari! No fair!" Blitz had turned around to the voice of Rose, only for his sister to seize the opportunity and claim the win. Their eldest sister simply rolled her eyes.

"Anyway. I wanted to introduce our newest team member." She announced, gesturing to the shiny gardevoir. Lexia, being made the center of attention, blushed a bit and averted her gaze.

"Ooh, she got the job?" Ivy asked.

"Yes. She'll be working with us on Monday."

"As security?" Aquari quipped.

"I'd be fine beating up any entitled Pokémon coming in." Lexia smirked.

"I think that's pretty much Blaze's job." The fire type remarked.

"Speaking of, where is she?" Rose tilted her head.

"She said something about training Sear I think." The small Eli answered. Rose had a look of understanding.

"Hey Lexia!" Ivy called out. "You play any games? We have an extra controller here! We're playing some Super Brawl Mon." Hearing what they were playing, Lexia smirked.

"Yeah. I play that sometimes."

. . . . .

"C'mon, Sear! Put more power into those punches!"

"I'm scared to burn you!" Blaze rolled her eyes.

"Sear, I told you, I'm fine. But, to put it bluntly… you're weak. You may have a type advantage over me, but you aren't going to do much." Blaze stated, though there was a hint of hesitation.

"I know I'm weak!" Sear blurted. "Still though! It's fire! You can't blame me for being worried." The ice type gave an exasperated sigh. She lowered herself down, sitting on the grassy ground.

"I guess, but you also can't blame me for wanting to make sure that you can at least defend yourself. Especially after what I heard happen to you the other day."

"Oh, that? That wasn't even that bad." Sear waved his hand dismissively. "Ven just poured some coffee on me, but it didn't hurt much. Plus, Rae did end up beating him up afterwards."

"Rae? The gardevoir's friend?"

"Yeah. She's a lopunny. Tall, strong, and really nice." Blaze had a look of consideration on her face.

"... Is she your girlfriend?"

"W-what?! No! Where did that even come from?" The fire type forced out as he felt his face heating up.

"I thought I'd ask, seemed like there was some sort of connection between you two." Blaze chuckled a bit at the fire bunny's expense.

"She's… just a friend. One that I met just yesterday." He groaned.

"We'll see about that." The ice type stood back up. "We're getting off topic though. I want you to hit me with a pyroball next."

"Blaze-!"

"Just do it!" She cut off her smaller friend, before firing an ice beam from her mouth, aiming at her own hands. In a matter of seconds, her hands and arms became large, icy claws. "And don't hold anything back!" She yelled, slamming an icy fist into her palm. Sear grimaced, but knowing there was no point in arguing, he picked up a nearby pebble.

. . . . .

"GAME!"

Blitz, Ivy, and Aquari's mouth hung upon as the game transitioned to the victory screen, the victor being the shiny, smug gardevoir.

"H-how?!" The water type nearly screeched. "That character barely came out two days ago!"

"Being without a job has given me a lot of free time to practice." Lexia stated, leaning back and crossing her legs. "Plus, being able to build your own platforms is just great. Artificial stage spikes and pretty much being the stage control."

"High tier abuser…" Ivy grumbled, putting on a mock pout. Lexia simply laughed at her plight.

"Do you understand what they're talking about?" Eli leaned to the sylveon sitting next to her.

"Barely." The fairy type shrugged. "The most I know about these games is the stuff I randomly hear them shout about." As they were speaking, a red and orange light was faintly seen from the front of the store.

"What was that?" The shiny pokemon questioned, a hint of concern in her voice.

"Probably Sear." Aquari guessed, not showing any concern herself.

"Ooh, think his pyroball got better?" Blitz turned to his sisters, both of which just shrugged. Seeing an opportunity to learn more about her future co-workers, Lexia jumped at it.

"So you guys are all brothers and sisters?" Rose's ears perked up as she heard the question. She opened her mouth to begin answering, but Ivy was quick to interrupt.

"Yup! Eevee families tend to be pretty big because of all the different ways we can evolve." Rose let out a huff. "It's only us though, our parents didn't have enough children to fill the whole evolution line."

"So no jolteon, espeon or umbreon?" Ivy shook her head. "So, who's the oldest?"

"That would be me." Rose spoke up. "I was also the first to evolve. The next oldest is Blaze, Aquari and Blitz are twins, and Ivy is the youngest."

"Am child." The grass type quipped, gaining a chuckle from her siblings, as well as Eli and Lexia.

"What about you?"

"Huh?" Eli was caught off guard. "Me?"

"Yeah, tell me a bit about yourself."

"Uh-well, I'm not sure there is much to tell." The raichu squirmed nervously in her seat as she looked down at her paws.

"Did you do anything before you started working with us?" Blitz asked, trying to encourage the small pokemon. The electric type took a shy glance upwards before mustering up the confidence to answer.

"Well, I tried to do something with feral pokemon before. So I actually got a job at a pokemon clinic not too far from here. However, I quickly realized that I'm, um, not the best at handling situations when it comes to violent pokemon…" She trailed off, once again looking away.

"So that's why you decided to come to work here?" Aquari asked, to which Eli nodded. "Well, I'm glad you're with us now. You're an amazing co-worker and really cute to boot!"

"I-I-" Eli stammered completely blindsided by Aquari's sudden compliment, her face beet red. Blitz smacked the water type upside the head.

"Your bi-tendencies are scaring her, you idiot."

"Oh shut up! I call everyone cute!" She retorted before spitting a small stream of water out of her mouth, hitting Blitz in the face. The fire type went limp, falling out of his chair with an audible thud.

"Is he-?" Lexia began as Aquari's and Ivy's laughter filled the room.

"He's fine, don't worry." The fairy type reassured the shiny pokemon. "This is normal." Rose shook her head, a smile visible on her face. Lexia simply chuckled nervously, the more she thought about it, she was sure at least one of her other friends would enjoy these pokemon. Speaking of friends-

"Oh yeah, how did you guys meet Sear?"

"Hm? Oh, we actually met in middle school. It was within the first week, we came across him, only a raboot at the time, being bullied by some other students. At the time, me and Blaze had already evolved, and I was about to step in and help, but my sister was quicker to react. She ended up stuffing the kids into a locker and freezing it shut. After that, we kind of offered to let him join our 'group', and he more than happily agreed.

"We essentially became a second family to him at that point, as well as bodyguards." Rose chuckled. Lexia couldn't help smile herself.

"You know, that kind of sounds like the way me and Rae met. She came to my rescue when I was getting bullied in middle school." She recalled happily, despite the circumstances. "She always was one to start fights to protect others."

"Oh yeah, who exactly is that?" Ivy interjected suddenly, hearing mention of this person Sear seemed to know.

"Rae?" Lexia turned back to the grass type. "She's a friend of mine. A lopunny with macrosm to be exact."

"Ooh, that's like Sear's microsm, right?"

"Rae is like a giant!" Aquari quipped.

"A giant that likes to show off." The fairy and psychic type muttered with an eye roll.

"Someone sounds jealous." Blitz chuckled. Lexia's face immediately adopted a shade of red. "Oh shit, I was right?"

"Do you have a height complex?" Aquari leaned in, with a smug and patronizing grin plastered on her face.

"N-no! Shut up!" The gardevoir retorted.

"You do! That's adorable!" The water type squealed, making Lexia groan.

"Hope you get used to this. They aren't ever going to let up, trust me." Rose chuckled.

"Is this part of the job requirement?" Lexia managed to joke despite the situation. Rose couldn't help but smile, she was going to make a great addition to the team.

. . . . .

Blaze held her ice covered arm out in front of her, her claw clenched around a small, smoking pebble. Sear was in the distance, out of breath and hunched over, the grass around his paws slightly singed due to the heat emanating from him. After a moment, the ice type brought her claw to her face, looking over the smouldering rock in her massive grasp. Droplets of water were sliding down her hands and palm, melting from the heat.

"Not bad." The shiny pokemon quipped, throwing the pebble aside. "It's certainly getting better, but you've still got a long way to go."

"Huh… thanks." The fire rabbit huffed out, before slowly lowering himself to the ground and laying backwards. Blaze shook her head, but couldn't contain her smirk as she made her way to her smaller friend, her claws melting off her arms and falling to the ground before she sat on the ground next to Sear.

"Maybe we should try getting you some energy pops." She joked, taking off her jacket as the sleeves were now soaked from the melting ice.

"You know that stuff's illegal." Sear glanced over at her. The ice type rolled her eyes.

"Yeah yeah, I know, but if it helps it helps." She shrugged to Sear's dismay. "I'm kidding, firepaws. Don't get worked up." It was Sear's turn to roll his eyes. Just then, the sound of sirens filled the air. As the wailing grew louder, the two pokemon watched as two black cars with white letters reading 'S.C.U' sped by the cafe. Sear picked himself off the ground as the vehicles drove off, a look of worry on his face.

"Blaze?" He called out, scooting closer to the taller girl.

"I know." The ice type said in a hushed tone, getting to her paws. "Let's get back inside." Blaze said, going to pick up Sear, but was interrupted as the sound of stomping footsteps grew. Looking up, the shiny pokemon's eyes widened. "Sear!"

. . . . .

"The Savage Containment Unit?" Blitz questioned, looking over his chair.

"Blaze and Sear should come back in." Rose stood up, about to make her way to the front of the store until a roar stopped her in her tracks. The door to the cafe opened slowly, a small rabbit pushing it.

"Rose!" Sear called, panicked. "It's Blaze! She's fighting with a savage!"

"Bastard!" The ice type could be heard yelling. Rose was quick to respond, rushing out the entrance by practically leaping over Sear. The small rabbit yelped in surprise as the tip of Rose's flats brushed the top of his ears. Once outside, the fairy type was quick to locate her sister and the savage. Blaze's left hand was once again a giant ice claw, while in her right, she wielded a spear made of ice.

The savage pokemon was a nidoking, he wore the remains of what looked to be a business suit. His eyes were red and bloodshot, and he was snarling and growling. While the savage was shorter than the ice type, the nidoking's bulk more than made up for this difference. This was evident in the fact that Blaze was struggling to hold back a punch from the pokemon. Unable to use her spear, and her ice claw being the only thing holding the savage back, Blaze took in a deep breath before unleashing an concentrated ice beam towards the nidoking's eyes.

The pokemon roared in pained rage, bringing his hands to his face, allowing Blaze to back off. Suddenly, she noticed her sister.

"Rose! Don't! You're at a type-" The shiny pokemon found herself being pulled towards the taller girl by her feelers, just as the ground where Blaze was just a moment ago was ignited by the savage's flamethrower.

"I know." Rose said calmly, setting her sister down by her side before retracting her ribbon like feelers. "But you can't fight a savage by yourself." Blaze wanted to retort, she didn't want Rose fighting against a poison type, but she knew her sister was right. While they were two of the strongest in the family, Rose was considerably stronger than the ice type. With a growl, Blaze begrudgingly gave in. The two girls faced the savage, while everyone else watched from the cafe. Said savage let out a low growl, before digging his claws into the ground and, with a twist of his body, flung a large pile of dirt into the air.

He quickly did this a few more times, the air around the cafe becoming harder to see through as the wind started picking up speed. The nidoking had summoned a sandstorm. The two sisters did their best to shield their eyes as the storm pelted them, the rest of the group protected from the storm within the safety of the cafe.

While her visibility was reduced, that wasn't going to stop Blazing from attempting to attack the savage pokemon. Hoisting her spear above her head, she threw the ice weapon towards the nidoking. However, the raging winds affected the trajectory. The spear landed harmlessly nearby the purple pokemon. Said savage simply snorted in response, before quickly digging downwards.

"Shit…" The glaceon grumbled, before turning her right hand into another claw. The two stood their ground, waiting for the savage to reamerge before they made their move. The ground underneath Rose started to rumble and shift. The fairy type used her feelers to spring and jump away from the nidoking as he emerged from the ground, attempting to claw her.

Seeing an opportunity, Blaze responded with an ice beam, hitting the savage in the torso and effectively freezing him to the ground. The pokemon roared in anger, unphased by the pain, trying his best to shatter the ice around him in an attempt to get free.

"Blaze!"

"Got it!" The fairy type landed near her sister, extending her feelers towards the ice type. Blaze grabbed hold of them and began spinning around, lifting Rose off the ground and spinning her. After building up enough momentum, the shiny pokemon released her sister, hurdling her towards the still frozen savage. Rose used dazzling gleam, enveloping her body in a multicolored sphere. She rammed into the savage, gaining a roar of pain from the pokemon, as she landed safely.

However, the nidoking recovered quickly. His claws glowed purple, before he launched a series of needle-like projectiles out of them towards the sylveon.

"Rose, behind!" Blaze tried to call out to her sister, but it was already too late. Before Rose could even comprehend what was said. The poison struck her in the back, she let out a pained scream, collapsing to the ground as the toxins rapidly worked their way through her body. Blaze tried to make her way to her sister, but was stopped as a wall of fire appeared in front of her, the savage finally freeing himself with his flamethrower.

Baze gritted her teeth before letting out a yell as she charged for the nidoking, claws ready to try and tear him apart. Rose, on the other side of the fire wall, was picking herself up, her face had adopted a shade of purple, the poison taking its toll on her. She felt weak, her arms shaking as she pushed herself into a sitting position. She groaned as her body convulsed, the pink pokemon upset with herself that she let herself get poisoned.

"Rose!" She looked up, seeing Lexia rush towards her.

"Lexia." She weakly said, clutching her head as a migraine came on. "It's not safe. Get back inside with the others."

"No, I told the others I would help you." The blue gardevoir stated, wincing a bit as the sandstorm pelted against her. Angry roars from both Blaze and the savage could be heard from across the dying flames. Lexia looked up, her eyes flashing for a quick second before using her psychic to lift up the sylveon before her. The gardevoir breathed a sigh of relief as the sandstorm began dying down.

The nidoking roared out in pain as Blaze slashed his face with a claw. Said ice type breathing heavily as the fight dragged on. She used her claws to push herself up into the air, delivering a powerful double kick to the savages chest. He stumbled backwards, the fight also taking its toll on him, but not as severe as with Blaze. Once he regained his footing, the nidoking shot out more poison stingers. Blaze, too tired to try and dodge it, brought her claws up in an attempt to deflect the attack.

While most of it was blocked, she scrunched her face in pain as a few needles struck her unguarded stomach. Her legs shook, struggling to support her own weight, as her face slowly turned to a shade of purple. She certainly was not experiencing the toxins as badly as Rose did, but it was still poison in her body. She caught herself before she hit the ground as her legs gave out on her. She could hear the savage snarling as he made his way towards her, but suddenly, it was replaced with a pained roar. Looking up, she saw what looked to be the aftermath of a future sight attack, a white, translucent apparition resembling Lexia appeared in between the two pokemon.

The savage, clearly in pain but still going berserk, swiped at the apparition as it faded away. Despite the pain and lack of energy, Blaze couldn't help but smirk at the sight. Without his sense of awareness, the nidoking huffed as he locked back onto the downed ice type. Just as he was about to charge, the sound of screeching tires caught everyone off guard. At the street, a SCU car skidded to a halt, the driver side door swinging open as an absol stepped out.

"Wren!" Lexia's eyes widened, halfway in the cafe as she just laid Rose on a nearby couch.

"You know her?" Blitz questioned. The female absol, Wren, taking a quick lookover the situation, made her way around the car. She wore a black uniform, on the chest area of a padded vest were the letters SCU, like with the car she drove in, accompanied by a pair of black combat boots. Her face and red eyes lacked emotion, instead holding onto a distant, uninterested look. Getting into a battle stance, she held her hand out in front of her, taunting the savage by waving her fingers in a way that said 'come at me'. The simple minded savage took the bait, letting out an angered roar as it charged forward, past Blaze and towards the officer. Wren simply waited patiently for the nidoking to close the distance.

The savage let out a flamethrower as he ran towards Wren, who swiftly dodged to the side, before giving an even quicker chop to the nidokings throat. The pokemon let out a pained cough as it fell to the ground, having trouble getting air into its lungs from the attack. Wren, stilling looking disinterested in the situation, walked to her car, opening the passenger side. She then kicked the savage pokemon where his head was in between the car and the door, before forcefully slamming the door onto his head. Just as icing on the cake, she then kicked the door with the pokemons head still in the way.

Finally, the nidoking went limp, his head leaving a sizable dent in the car door. His rampage was finally at an end.

"Oh my…" Eli shuddered.
