Alexascrazyworld on tumblr asked for Flora/Helia patching up a wound
"Ouch!"
They had been working in companionable silence for long enough that the sudden voice startled Flora so much that she stumbled and tripped over one of the pots littering the floor. It tipped onto it's side, some of the soil spilling across the paved floor. Flora clucked her tongue sympathetically and immediately dropped to her knees, righting the pot and scooping the soil back in.
"There we go," she murmured soothingly to the orchid housed in the pot, patting the dirt back into place. "Not to worry, I'll fix you up. I'm sorry about that."
Flora sat back on her heels and smiled, satisfied with her handiwork, before rising back to her feet. She glanced around the greenhouse, looking for the source of the voice, before finally settling her eyes on the familiar sight of her boyfriend. His head was ducked, hair coming loose from it's ponytail as the dove grey strands fell across his face, and didn't immediately notice her attention.
"Are you okay?"
Flora traversed the greenhouse, nimbly stepping around the pots rather than tripping over them this time. Helia glanced up at her briefly as she approached, before frowning back down at something out of her sight.
"Yeah. Just cut myself," he said, holidng up his hand a little.
"Oh," Flora said as she reached him. She took his hand in hers, looking at the shallow cut on his forefinger that was already beading with blood. She glanced at the plant Helia had been tending to and nodded knowingly. "Cecilia, yeah, she can be prickly." Flora scrunched up her nose in a way that made Helia want to kiss it, and a green glow began to emanate from her hands.
"It's nothing, just took me by surprise."
But Flora was already reciting the incantation in her head, and the skin began to knit back together and heal itself. She tilted her head and smiled at the sight of his finger, now perfectly unmarred once more.
"Better?"
"Yes, thank you. You didn't have to."
Flora pouted a little, making Helia chuckle, and said, "But I wanted to. I don't like seeing you hurt."
"It was hardly a battle wound, Flora. Just a little cut."
"Yeah, but trust me, if you finish clipping Cecilia this probably won't be the last wound you receive."
Something sparkled in Helia's dark grey eyes as he beheld her. "Guess I'm lucky I'll always have you around to patch me up."
Flora smiled coyly. "Guess you are," she agreed, before bringing his healed finger to her lips so she could press a gentle kiss to it.
