"Can I open my eyes now?"

"Not yet."

"Stella."

"Patience, babe. It'll be worth it, I promise."

Brandon made a non-committal grunt that was far from his usual chipper attitude, but Stella wasn't worried. Her boyfriend had been in a bad mood all week and she was hoping that this would be just the thing to raise his spirits again.

"Alright, here we go."

She pressed a kiss to his cheek and reached up to peel his hand away from his eyes, allowing Brandon to finally see the set up Stella had put together. It had taken her hours but with her talent with fabrics and a quick raid of the castle linen closet, Stella had managed to transform the media room into a cosy blanket fort. The chefs had put together a lovely looking spread that was set out on the blankets and pillows strewn on the floor, and the massive television was ready to play a selection of movies.

Stella beamed as she took in the sight proudly, but her smile slipped a bit when Brandon didn't immediately say anything.

"You did this?" he said finally, voice thick.

Stella bit her lip. "I know you were disappointed we couldn't get back to Eraklyon today, so I wanted to do something special."

Brandon had told Stella once about the blanket forts his parents had always set up for his and his siblings birthdays when they were young. Having seven children, the Phillips family could rarely afford to do something expensive, but they always managed to make each birthday special. They'd fallen out of practice as Brandon and his siblings had gotten older, but upon seeing the mood Brandon had fallen into when he'd found out he couldn't see his family on his birthday, Stella had had the idea that something nostalgic might be the exact thing that he needed.

"Did I-" Stella broke off and bit her lip when still Brandon said nothing. "Did I mess up?"

Brandon took her hand wordlessly and led her deeper into the blanket fort, sinking onto the blankets and pulling her into his arms.

"You didn't mess up at all," he said into her hair, his voice still sounding a little wobbly. "You got everything exactly right."

Stella turned her head, resting her chin on his chest so she could see his face. He gazed down at her, wondering how he'd gotten so lucky to get a girl like her.

"What did I do to deserve you?"

Stella smiled. "I'm not done."

"Oh?"

"Since it's your birthday, I'll even let you choose one of your dumb action movies to watch."

Brandon grinned, already laughing. "You're too kind."

"I know," Stella said, faux seriously. But all the same she reached up to kiss him gently. "Happy birthday, Brandon."

Hey hey,

I know this prompt wasn't technically on the list but a guest reviewer on here asked for it and it was so cute I couldn't resist.

On that note tho, requests for this list are now closed. Thank you to everyone who has requested things so far, but I'm getting a lot of the same ones, and I want to move on to new prompt lists. Don't worry if you asked for something and it hasn't been done yet, I'll still be doing those, I just won't be taking on any new ones after posting this. I'm actually spending November finishing up any outstanding requests so I can start fresh on some christmas themed prompts in December :D

Thanks as always for reading, leaving kudos, and commenting, it means a lot!
