Here's an update to the story. Almost forgot I was writing this one. LOL Seriously! Well, I hoped everyone's enjoying
this so far. It's getting a little interesting, I think. And I want to thank each and every one who has R &R this story so far. With that said, enjoy the story. . .

Tidus couldn't believe what he saw before his eyes as the flames continued to get out of hand. Smoke was quickly filling the room as well. Tidus covered his mouth as he began to cough hysterically.

"SHUYIN!" Tidus shouted as he slammed the door shut to prevent anymore smoke from coming into the room, however, it was still leaking inside.

Shuyin awoke at Tidus' demand and shot up hen he seen the smoke. He quickly waved his hand in front of his face as he coughed several times. "What's going on?"

"A fire, you idiot!" Tidus scolded.

"Well, I can see that!" Shuyin said.

"Let's move!" Tidus demanded. "We've got to get the girls and everyone out of this building before the place goes down!"

With quickly thinking, Shuyin pulled the sheet from the bed, ran in the bathroom an soaked it with cold water to place over himself and Tidus as they prepared to try and get everyone to safety.

Meanwhile. . . in the room next door. . .

The door was slowly eased open as someone dressed fully in black entered the room only to find the girls sleeping, however, Yuna wasn't asleep. The fire outside their part of the room was continuing to grow out of hand. Smoke had begun to escape into the room and upon smelling it, Yuna instantly rose from her bed and as she turned, she saw the figure of black standing near the doorway and immediately let out a blood curling scream, which then woke Lenne from her deep sleep. As she focused her eye sight in and saw the figure, she let out one as well.

"It's him!" Lenne cried out. "He's here!"

Lenne and Yuna immediately ran to the other side of the bed as they came together and watched the figure approach them. After getting so close, the girls then hopped over the bed and bolted towards the door and the figure gave chase. Yuna then threw the door open only to be greeted by a blaze of fire, which had flashed over in just a matter of seconds and was now totally out of control. Suddenly, a piece of pipe broke free at one end from the burning ceiling and fell to the floor, which in turn blocked the door and trapped them inside with this crazed psycho who, without warning, grabbed Lenne, who screamed, from behind, placed a knife to her side and began to drag her backwards towards the bed.

"Lenne!" Yuna shouted. Lenne struggled to free herself, but the psycho kept a death grip on her.

Meanwhile. . . making it into the hallway. . .

The flames continued to rise and the blaze was viciously devouring the Inn. Shuyin and Tidus had managed to make it out into the hall with the wet sheet as their protection. Several people were already out in the hall as well trying to find a way out. Seeing that almost everyone was already out of their rooms they began to focus on getting the girls out of the burning building.

"Damn!" Tidus cursed. "There's a pipe blocking the doorway!"

"Help me!" Shuyin yelled as he let go of the sheet and ran over to the pipe.

"What are you doing?" Tidus asked.

"Just help me!" Shuyin said as Tidus dropped the sheet as well and ran over to help Shuyin get inside the room somehow.

Meanwhile. . . inside the room. . .

Lenne was still struggling to win her freedom back from this psycho's grasp. She managed to take her elbow and jab it into his ribs, which caused him to drop his knife to the floor. Upon seeing that, Yuna bolted and as she almost managed to grasp the knife in her hand, the psycho violently shoved Lenne aside who fell to the floor. He then swiped the knife before Yuna could get it and instantly slashed at Yuna and even managed to leave a deep slash on the side of her arm. Yuna squealed as she grabbed her arm. The psycho then pounced at Lenne and tried to stab her as well, however, she moved and he landed flat on his face. Suddenly, the door of the room was violently shoved open as it swung back, bounced back off the wall and almost swung back shut, however, it was stopped as Tidus and Shuyin quickly entered the room only to see the girls in danger once again.

"There he is!" Shuyin shouted as he pointed at the psycho lying on the floor just inches away from Lenne.

Being braver than what his sanity called for, the psycho jabbed the knife at Lenne who began to scoot backwards away from his as he continued to crawl towards her and jab the knife at her bare feet.

"Bastard!" Tidus shouted as he ran at the psycho who was then greeted by a solid kick to his ribs. The guy hollered out as the knife went sliding across the room and he was completely turned over onto his back. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" The psycho looked up at Tidus and his eyes went wide with fear, for he knew exactly who that was and where there was one, the other one wasn't very far behind.

"Tidus, Yuna's been cut!" Shuyin yelled which instantly distracted Tidus' attention, which gave the psycho ample time to make it to his feet and run towards the window.

"He's getting away!" Lenne shouted and just as everyone looked back, the psycho jumped at the window, taking out the glass as it shattered everywhere and instantly made a getaway.

"Dammit!" Tidus shouted in frustration, however, immediately turned his attention to the girls as he turned to Lenne. "Are you alright?" Lenne nodded her head swiftly as she stood up and they made their way over to Shuyin and Yuna. "Is she okay?" Tidus then knelt down in front of Yuna only to see her arm bleeding freely. "It's bleeding badly." He then grabbed the bottom of his shirt and tore a piece of it off and wrapped it around her arm tightly to minimize the bleeding.

"We have to get out of here and fast!" Lenne said with urgency in her voice.

"No kidding." Shuyin said.

"Shuyin, get the girls to safety. I'll escort the remaining survivors out of here as quickly as I can."

"No!" Yuna said as she grabbed Tidus who looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "You can't leave me. What if that crazed man comes after us while you're in here! What if- -"

"I'll be fine." Tidus assured her. "Now, go with Shuyin before this place goes down." And with that said, Tidus bolted out the room.

"Tidus!" Yuna shouted out as she watched him run out of the room.

"Quick!" Shuyin said as he then escorted Lenne and Yuna over towards the broken window.

Moments later. . .

Shuyin, Lenne and Yuna ran around to the front of the Inn where a crowd of people had already gathered. Sirens wailed off in the distance, which signaled that the LFD were on their way as well as the police. Several people run out of the Inn as the back of the building caved in. Several people gasped loudly as a few screamed where seconds later, the front began to quiver and just as it as about to come down, Tidus jumped through the roaring flames that coveted the doorway as he held a small child in his arms where it all then caved inward. Tidus presented the child to their worried parents where he was then nearly knocked down by Yuna who flew her arms around him. Tidus' eyes flew open wide as he soon came to realize who was embracing him. Shuyin and Lenne fought their way through the crowd as they seen saw Tidus and Yuna.

Tidus was truthfully stunned not alone shocked by Yuna's reaction towards him. They had just met only hours ago yet she was becoming almost emotionally attached to him already. Although a bit hesitant at first, Tidus slid his hands around the small of her back and pulled her close to him.

"It's okay." Tidus said. "I'm here." Yuna gently released her grasp on him as she looked at him and softly smiled.

The LFD and police soon arrived afterwards where help was also on the way. . .
