Tidus' car raced down the streets of Zanarkand at a deathly rate of speed. Yuna held on for dear life, crying and scared as she watched the maniac drive recklessly down the road. The psycho took a few glances at her, gave her a crooked grin and began to fish tail the car, causing her to scream hysterically. Tidus raced behind the car, his eyes widening once he saw it fish tailing from left to right and the tire squealing. He knew that if he didn't get Yuna out of there soon and fast that she would more than likely be hurt if not killed. Those thoughts scared him and enraged him even more. Therefore, he increased the speed of the bike and was nearly on that guy's bumper when suddenly the car jerked to the right, heading down the road, which instantly forced Tidus to turn left and head up the ramp way. He cursed to himself while watching the maniac below him. Suddenly the bike began to spit and sputter. Tidus looked down and seen that the gas handle was on empty. He knew right then and there that he had to do something and fast. It was to either take a huge risk or let that guy get away with the love of his life. Therefore, he gave the bike all that it had left, nearly passing the car up below. Once he saw he was ahead, he gave the bike a sharp turn towards the right, making it jump over the side of the ramp and he and the bike went sailing through the air. Faster the car raced down the road and faster the bike plunged towards the pavement below. The psycho thought he had made a clean getaway, however, that smile faded once he looked and saw Tidus heading straight at him. He yelled, putting his hands up in defense as did Yuna when suddenly the bike and the car crashed into each other. Tidus was slung over top of the car, landing on the pavement behind with a hard blow. He rolled several times before coming to a stop. The car, however, kept on skidding down the highway and eventually collided into the huge wall that supported the ramp way overheard causing it the ignite into flames.

"Yuna!" Tidus shouted in distress. Ignoring the immense pain he was in, he struggled to his feet and proceeded towards the wreckage that had already erupted into flames. Upon reaching it, there was a strong odor of gas and that could only mean one thing and that was a leakage. Tidus knew that everything would explode in just a matter on minutes. Therefore, he had to act fast, stay focused, and try not to panic. He looked around where he then saw a hand dangling from the window. "Oh, no! Yuna!" He then ran to the other side of the wreckage, waving the smoke from his face as he looked inside only to find Yuna inside, battered up and barely conscious. "Yuna, hold on! I'm going to get you out of there!" Yuna softly moaned, her vision blurry. Tidus pulled at the car door, beat on it and everything but it was no good. It wasn't about to budge. Therefore, his only solution was to pull Yuna through the broken window. Scooping her up in his arms the best way possible, he began to drag her out and onto the pavement. "Yuna!" He cradled her in his arms long enough to make sure she was with him and upon seeing her eyes, he gave her a smile. "Come on! We've got to get away!" Helping and leaning against each other, Tidus and Yuna somehow gathered what strength and will was left within them and tried their best to make a run for it, however, they only made it a few feet before the car explodes and the impact from the explosion sent them flying forward and to the ground. Tidus turned over, shielding his eyes from the brightness of the flames as Yuna crawled over to his side. "He's gone, Yuna." Yuna cuddled next to him, burying her face in his chest and he placed a loving kiss upon her forehead. "He's never gonna hurt you again." The flames rose high into the air, creating a cloud of black smoke.

Hours later. . .

It certainly did not take long for the press to hear about what had happened. They were at the crash sight as well as the hospital where they were now trying to get a close look in on the super star herself, however, a certain someone was not about to let that happen.

Braska forced his way through the rabid media and was certainly angered by the very sight of them. Mikes were held before him as he passed through, camera's flashed and everything.

Tidus sat by Yuna's bed with his arm in a slang and a bandaged up head. Yuna's head was also bandaged as well as a few other places. His head laid resting upon her shoulder with his eyes closed where Yuna's head was resting against his as well only she was asleep. Suddenly, he heard the door creek open, and with quick reflexes, he withdrew his gun, stood up an aimed at the person who was entering, however, once he saw who it was, he withdrew his aim.

"I want to thank you for saving my daughter's life." Braska said straight off. You went against all odds and even risked certain death only to walk away with barely a scratch."

"What's a few bruised ribs and a sprung arm?" Tidus questioned in sarcasm. "What's important is that the girls are safe."

"The doctor said you were one lucky fellow to do what you did and walk away with your life."

"What can I say? I've got 9 lives." Tidus said and Braska only chuckled.

"I have but one question." Braska said, stepping on inside the room and closing the door behind him. "Are you for certain that this mad man is dead?"

"Nothing is ever certain, sir." Tidus assured him. "He was believed to have burned in the explosion."

"What are the odds of him surviving?" Braska asked.

"Slim to none." Tidus said.

"I won't rest easy until I see his dead corpse before my very eyes." Braska said. Tidus just nodded his head in agreement.

Moments later. . .

Yuna still laid sleeping soundly. Tidus stepped out of the room, checking out the surroundings for anything or anyone suspicious. He then turned around only to see a slightly nervous Rikku behind him.

"Tidus. . ." Rikku trailed off. Tidus just looked at her, waiting for a response only she found herself speechless. Therefore, standing on her tip toes a bit, she placed a timid kiss to the side of his cheek. "Thanks." She then looked at him, taking a few steps back. "Thanks for saving my cousin's life."

"Just doing my job, miss." Tidus said, trying to be polite, however, we slightly blushing from that kiss from her.

"No." Rikku said with a shake of her head. "It's more than that. We both know what it is. I know that you're in love with Yunie." Tidus just looked at her, wondering how she knew this.

"WHERE IS HE!" shouted a voice from the distance.

"Ohh, boy." Rikku said, turning and seeing her out-of-whack brother stomping down the hallway. Tidus just raised his eyebrows.

"There you, are you blonde cop bike thief!" Brother spatted at Tidus who then got a very stern look on his face. "What you think you doing! You stole my bike! How am I suppose to get babes now!"

Out of anger, Tidus took his one good arm, grabbing Brother by his shirt collar and jerked him forward. "First off, ass clown, your cousin was almost killed! What's more important to you, your cousin or a crummy kiddy bike that you're trying to use to bag babes as you say?" Brother fell silent. "I thought so." He then pushed Brother backwards, releasing his grip from him. "Second, women aren't babes, or chicks, or any other stupid names that people label them to be! A woman is something special that is to be treated with respect. Her heart is something that is not to be played with. It's not an instrument. A woman's heart is like a rose, strong and beautiful when it blooms, but deny that rose of affection and respect and it will die. So, if you want a woman, then be a man. And stop this bickering and whining over something that obviously has no moral value."

"Tidus!" called a timid voice from inside the room. And upon hearing her voice, Tidus immediately went inside the room followed by Rikku and Brother.

"I'm here." Tidus said, walking over to Yuna's bedside. She held out her arms and they embraced warmly. He kissed her lips only to pull her even closer to him.

"Where am I? What happened?" Yuna asked. Tidus gently parted from their embrace and looked at each other.

"We're now in Zanarkand. You're in the hospital." Tidus responded. "Do you remember the accident?"

Yuna thought to herself for a moment. The psycho thought he had made a clean getaway, however, that smile faded once he looked and saw Tidus heading straight at him. He yelled, putting his hands up in defense as did Yuna when suddenly the bike and the car crashed into each other. Yuna looked away, placing her hand over her mouth as she gasped. Tidus cupped her face in his hands, directing her eyes towards his.

"Listen to me, Yuna. You're safe now." Tidus said. "That psycho was killed in the explosion."

"Are you for certain?" Yuna asked and for some reason, Tidus could not give her an answer and she just looked away with a sigh when her eyes shot wide open and she looked back at him. "Lenne! Rikku!"

"Lenne's safe. She's with Shuyin." Tidus said.

"And I'm right here, Yunie." Rikku said with a wave.

Yuna looked to her cousin and smiled. "You okay, Rikku?"

"Never better." Rikku chirped.

"So, what now?"Yuna asked, looking back at Tidus. "Are you gonna leave now that the psycho is gone?"

Tidus shook his head. "I'll never leave you." He caressed her cheek, placing his finger under her chin and guiding her lips to his where they met in a chaste kiss. Just as Tidus and Yuna broke from that tender kiss, someone entered the room, slightly puzzled by the display before him.

"What is this?" came a voice from the doorway and everyone looked only to see Braska walk on inside.

"Father!" Yuna said surprised, a smile spreading across her face. Upon seeing that sweet smile, Braska decided to let what he saw slide until another time, walked over to his daughter and put his arms around her.

Moments later. . .

Yuna's discharge papers were being done. Tidus had pulled the car around to the front where he was waiting for her along with Braska who was eyeing Tidus at the moment.

"I have a question." Braska began. Tidus looked at him, awaiting the question. "What's going on between you and my daughter!"

Tidus' eyes widened. He knew that if he were to tell Braska the truth right then and there that he'd never see Yuna again and Braska would make sure of that personally or so he thought. "What do you mean?"

"I saw the two of you." Braska admitted.

"What did you see?" Tidus asked.

"Stop playing a fool with me." Braska snapped. "I saw the two of you kissing."

Tidus' heart began to race. "And?"

"It's true by what everyone says about you. You've got nerves of steel." Braska said and Tidus just shrugged his shoulders and nodded his head. "Yuna's all I got left in this world. My money, my fame. . . the power. It means NOTHING to me. My daughter means more to mean than all of Spira. Then this creep comes along and tries to kill her and Yevon knows why or for his purposes. That's why I hired you and your partner to guard my daughter and her friend with your lives. You're the best that Zanarkand has. And my daughter only gets the best. And that you have proven yourself to be."

"Sir, I promised that your daughter would be safe from this monster and I have kept that promise to you." Tidus said.

Braska shook his head. "Your job's not done yet I'm afraid."

"What are you saying?" Tidus asked.

"You were hired to protect my daughter till after the concert." Braska said. "I won't take any chances. Take Yuna and Lenne into hiding here in Zanarkand until the concert. Don't let anyone know where they are." Tidus nodded his head, turned and started to head inside the hospital. "Oh, and Tidus." Tidus stopped dead in his tracks. "If there is something going on between you and my daughter, keep it a secret. At least for now." Tidus didn't answer. He only nodded his head yet again and walked inside the hospital.

Yuna sat in her room brushing her hair and getting ready to leave when suddenly her phone began to ring. Thinking it may be Lenne or someone she knew, she picked it up.

"Hello?" Yuna said. No one answers. Yuna narrowed her eyes. "Is anyone there?" The person on the other end of the line began to breath heavily. "Lenne?"

"I'm not Lenne." came the voice from the other end of the line. Yuna's heart began to race and her breathing quickened as well. "You may have gotten away this time, but next time you will be mine. I will have you yet!"

"NO!" Yuna screamed, throwing the phone against the wall and crying hysterically.

Tidus walked in the room and seen her so upset and immediately went to her side, grabbing her by her arms. "What's going on? What's wrong?"

"It's him!" Yuna said crying. "He's alive and he knows where I am at!"

"WHO!" Tidus asked.

"Him." Yuna said, a tear falling from her eye and he just looked at her speechlessly.

An evil cackle broke the silence. Tidus turned, looking at the phone that was lying on the floor. He then walked over and picked up the phone, placing it to his ear only to hear the psycho's evil laughter.
